No luck finding this one today despite a good search. Good job we didn't stay too long as a torrential storm came through about an hour later. Oh well you win some and you lose some.
This geocache had everything. Me squealing in delight, cursing like a sailor, marvelling like a little kid. Another thing I love about geocaching. It exhibits it all. As a marchfly on the mangroves, us geocachers must look most entertaining. Anyway...I knew there was a cache at the entrance to this little creek, I'd inspected the map a number of times already, salivating at the menagerie of different combinations this day would entail.Yet was completely unarmed as i approached gz. Such an awesome little mangrove island. Kept paddling and totally forgot what I was doing. Ohyehright.. Then I beached at the landward side and stomped around like a Muppet far too long, almost even climbing the tree. Eventually got back in my vessel and circumnavigated mangrove island. Again. And again.Surely wallabytim doesn't want us to scramble up into that. Time for a log read. Oh my. He does. Around and around again I go. Ok, let's just "moor" and see what's up. All tyed up I scrambled up into the tree for another extensive search. How about over here. Hmm. A bit higher mebe. Aha! In the immortal words of temmingi "Gotcha!" This is easily worth more than one favourite point, just like the Everglades cache. If only I had multiple accounts to award more favourites. Thank you so much AtTheLakeHouse for making this cache yours. A worthy choice. This is fond number 5511 !
A truly beautiful run of chaches this morning thanks so much for.placing them here.
A great day out on the water with friends. This cache added to our joy, thanks for placing. Cheers
We continued on towards the mouth of the creek with the lake getting very bigger as we approached. We spread out around the little island and it was JDavs that called found it first and then guided wayn0 towards it. The wind was a little stronger out here so we were glad we did have to paddle across the lake. Thanks for the cache AtTheLakeHouseFind #6105
Out caching for the day in the Cooribah area prior to an event on the shores of Lake Macdonald. Today I found 9 traditionals and attended one event. Another lovely tree to climb, certainly had quite the fun outing on the creek! Heaps of sail boats racing today. Thanks for the cache WallabyWanderers/AtTheLakeHouse.
On our semi-regular Tuesday meet up, Duppers suggested a trip up to Cooloothin creek to grab a handful of caches as she had one in particular on her hit list that would get her closer to finishing another loop. With Duppers was in her kayak and me on my trusty SUP we headed up stream first, then headed down stream for the other.Duppers started from one side and I looked from the other. Duppers decided there was only one thing for it, and that was to get in amongst it all. Duppers soon spotted what I failed to see.I found your cache, Cooloothin Creek to Lake Cootharaba #4 today. This is my 3062 find.AtTheLakeHouse, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
The final cache of our Cooloothin Creek paddle. Most of the creek had been as smooth as glass during our paddle today, but approaching the lake, that quickly changed. The lake was a little choppy and both Shazzar66 and I were happy that this was our turnaround point. At GZ, Shazzar66 went one way, and I went the other, but as is my way, I headed up. Its often easier to find things when looking from a different angle. Making my way to the centre, I continued to where the cache was spotted. It was a little high for me, but stretching up, I was able to grab it and get the log sheet out.I signed the cache, ShaDup, returned the log as found, and then climbed back down. Getting carefully down into my kayak to avoid an unwelcome dunking, we then headed back upriver and into Boreen Point for an enjoyable pub lunch, then more caching. Thanks, @WallabyWanderers and @AtTheLakeHouse, for bringing is to this lovely creek which we both really enjoyed, and would never have known otherwise.
Up at Noosa for a week of cycling fun with mates but today was kayaking day for ruzzelz while the others headed over to Nambour. In the water nice and early and decided to head down stream first up. Finally, out at the Lake and i did a few laps of this object before deciding the only way was up. Of course, I went up the wrong part first and then finally spotted the cache. Back up the alternate side and then I lost the cache. Seems the brim on my hat was blocking my view. I thought about paddling on to Boreen point for coffee and a couple other caches. However, the wind had picked up and I still had one tree to scale on the return journey up the creek. Drove round for coffee after the kayaking was complete.
Mr Herbz hopped out to get this cache after we'd circumnavigated the spot and found the best place to land. It took a while to locate the cache but Mrs Herbz spied it from the canoe. Mr Herbz climbed up and retrieved it. TFTC
Oh, up there! Finally saw it and geo hubby climbed to get it! Thanks for the hide and for placing this series along the beautiful creek! ????

This was a tricky cache to collect. With the wind brewing up the swell, the tossing of the dingy due to swell / wind and the cache hide somewhere up there, we were here a few more minutes than we were at others in the creek.
Once in the tree, found the abrasive qualities of this type of mangrove is exceptionally good for removing wanted and unwanted skin blemishes. At least my boating companions waited for me to extract myself from the tree before heading home for a well deserved beverage. Cheers to you WW for the series and a FP for your efforts.

A paddle in this creek, made the rookie mistake of not saving the caches offline before I set off.
Once I climbed this tree I had just enough signal to be able to save the caches further up the creek.
Thank you for hiding these high quality caches

The last of a great series. The SE wind had picked up considerably in the last 200m and keeping our f/glass hull off the nasty bits was a challenge in itself. With the docking sorted, the cache was easily found and the log signed. Both were in good order.
Heading back to the ramp took no time at all with the helpful tailwind.

We woke to rain this morning but didn’t let that deter us in our plans for a kayak. A lovely quiet creek with millpond water make the reflections of the trees along the banks crystal clear. We certainly noticed that we were out of the protection of the creek as we reached GZ here. It took quite some time to spot the cache and we must have circumnavigated at least three times before disembarking for a better view. Once out and up a little it was a quick find. Thanks WallabyWanderers
11 months later and I finally returned to log a find on this one.
Initially left the vehicle without by writing stick and remembered about 3/4 the way up the creek, back to the car I go.
Weather was much more friendly on the kayak at the mouth this time.
Almost a millpond instead of the choppy swell last time.
Bit scratchy, that bark, whilst getting to the cache.
Onwards th the other 2 that I ran out of time for 11 months ago.

Reaching the creek mouth the wind is having an effect on the waves, homing in on the GZ we see the cache high & my transitional monkey Gecko associate jumps out of the yak & greases up the tree. What can I say.... I'm a passenger with the bestest partner EVER! now to return to the boat ramp before the sun goes down
Wow. Muggle65 and l could really tell we were out of the protection of the creek. M65 spotted the cache but l was in the key position so got to look pretty good making transition from yak to GZ. I am loving these manoeuvres. Feeling like a million dollars, we headed back to the ramp trying to beat sundown. Loved this set - thank you so much for placing them
Well wasn’t this a tricky little one to find! We went round and round and round... looking, looking, looking...
Only when we got out of the kayaks and got a bit higher did we spot it. Great.
But that wasn’t the end of our troubles tho’... the log was jammed right to the bottom of the preform in a ball. So we used our pen to slowly coax it up. Now that was difficult!
At last the log was signed. Phew
Thanks heaps for the cache and adding more fun to our paddle.

Part of the 16Jan Paddle Crew. 12 of us in total set off early in the morning for a lovely paddle to the lake mouth and back, collecting smilies along the way. This is a fav spot for locals to come for a swim in the summer and a fav spot of mine (living just around the corner). The creek was like a mirror today. Would have liked to take our time a bit more here along this stretch but the rest of the crew were on a mission. Just means I shall have to come back again Thanks for placing this trail and highlighting one of the sunny coasts waterways
Day 2 of our weekend geocaching adventure with RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan and GrannySmith 1947 (and millie dog) and we are joining others for our kayak leg of our journey on the creeks in the area. (Logs signed 16/1/21 Paddlers)
Maiden voyage of the BAT kayak and after a few teething problems, we are powering on to these caches. A most enjoyable morning with good friends and clear skies.
Last one on Cooloothin Creek. Beautiful reflections and can hear many birds in the trees.

The plan today was to grab some paddle caches with georode and esmiley. I arrived at the parking coordinates to find no one here, ok so I’m a little early but it is 6.45. then as one car arrives a whole more turned up, eleven people turned up to what I thought was just a small and quick paddle. Turned out to be a fun and eventful morning, we got 16 paddle caches and a couple of extras along the way. There was no problem with any of these caches and all were in good order.
Thanks to the CO’s who put these out there, it was a great day on the water, a lot of chats and a good group of people, thank you.

Initially this paddle was planned b myself and E-Smiley and myself as a replacement for the cancelled event and more and more kayaking cachers were invited. So it turned out to be a bigger social paddle with a lot of fun and good talks.
Thanks for bringing me here and having a good time on the water.

Another fabulous day of water caching. Our group of five from yesterday's Maroochy River epic is now a good dozen. Target caches today are along two creeks: Cooloothin Creek to Lake Cootharaba, and Cooroibah Creek to Lake Cooroibah.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on January 16, 2021. TFTC, WallabyTim

Just because an event was cancelled, doesn't mean we cancel our weekend. Now what can we do. Today was a kayaking day. Set off early to do 2 creeks.

Had a most enjoyable time on the water, nice and relaxing in the first quaint little Cooloothin Creek then packed up and moved to the bigger Cooroibah Creek.
All hides were great and found reasonably quickly in a big team effort today.

I don't doubt that it's there, but the chop was a bit sloppy to stay steady on the kayak, next time I will bring a short tether rope for the kayak
Time for some fun on the water with Brislions. We headed to Coolothin Creek first. This was the first cache of the morning. It took some time to find due to our phones not agreeing and moving GZ all over the place. Eventually, the cache was located and the log signed. TFTC
During the week I was thinking which challenge I should on. I was thinking of two challenges. Chatting with Selva Girls, I came up with Cooroibah Creek for D3/5T and said what about this Cooloothin Creek to. So 14 caches were targeted, we had a wonderful day out caching today.
We started Cooloothin Creek. This was nice easy paddle up and down.
Did have fun with my new sunglasses. I did see some fish swimming and some good size ones.
We found 6 but only signed 5 logs. 4 I can claim as finds, 1 I don’t qualify for. The other at the moment not able to climb to the cache. I did try, but after my motorbike accident my knee is still recovering.
Still don’t have the power in my knee.

Ha! This was a fun adventure. Finally it was breezy enough to be almost mozzie free, and luckily as I needed both hands and all concentration in order to tie the kayak, exit the kayak, weave my way through the tree and get up high enough to get the cache. And then, when I had, the thing was full of angry ants... eek! I flicked things around and my PA dug out a new lid from my bag (yeah, left that and my phone in his 'less likely to fall in the water' hands...), and so I then went back up to sign the log and replace the lid. Well, the ants were all out now but I dropped the blimmen log sheet. But, whaddya know, it landed on top of a mangrove branch thingy... so I weave my way back down to grab the log sheet before the wind blows it into the water... and then back up! Finally, our names signed, log replaced, new lid put on. Back down around and down into the kayak without a drama. Yay for those years of yoga I did, still got a bit of balance, apparently.
Thanks for this cache series, WallabyTim, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would never have come here had it not been for geocaching. A big happy Fave point from me.

After a big morning paddling around Lake MacDonald with a large group, I talked Caro and Brother Colin into another paddle on this little creek in the arvo.
A quick find and now back to camp for a hot shower and a beer.
Thanks for the cache.

A weekend of camping and kayaking was organised by Slow Puncture for a group from the PRCYS at the Scout Campsite, 'Camp Cooroora' on the banks of Lake MacDonald. A fantastic place to stay with hot showers, grassy campgrounds, fire pits and kitchen facilities.
After finding all of those caches, Caro, Grand Poobah and myself headed for Coloothin Creek for a few more kayak finds.
A quick find here and we are off again for another paddle.
Thanks for that caches.

Noticed the earlier log where the cache cap was dropped and lost so bought along a few different size caps we had at home, one of them fitted and should keep the rain out.
We've had inflatable kayak for years and never used it as I have done other water caches by myself in my single kayak, but Mrs bushedtwo wanted to have a go so the dust was brushed off it and here we are. Friendly fisherman came by just as cache was spotted so needed to photograph everything in the area until he cleared out before being able to sign log. A favourite for the series Thanks WallabyTim
I’m really sorry but I dropped the lid when trying to screw it back on and could not find it after it got lost among the roots. Hopefully the next visitor can bring a bottle top and maybe a spare log.
I forgot to bring a rope and, being alone, was unsure how to get this. I knew where it would be but wasn’t leaving the yak until I spotted it. When I did, my worst fears were confirmed. I managed to drag the yak up into the tree and “beach” it. Then found myself on the wrong side of the yak and had to stretch across from one limb to another to get to it. On trying to retrieve the dropped lid I got scratched to buggery and actually got stuck between branches at one point. But I couldn’t see the lid anywhere. Again, sincerest apologies.
Thanks for the cache WallabyTim. This was find #3887. Please discover my trackable: MMGJ6B.

After doing the caches along Cooroibah creek we decided to head to this creek and have another paddle. Once again we managed to locate all the caches along this creek with a bit of climbing and a bit of balancing in the yaks along the way. Logs were signed with Col & C, C&Konie or just C&K to save a bit of room and it also depended in what sort of a position we were in too.
This was the last at the end of the creek and it provided me with a bit of entertainment as Andy had a turn retrieving the container.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Deja Vu here. A DNF to start the run - same as earlier this morning. Then things went from bad to worse. At #2 my GPSr would not settle. It was jumping 40m. [xx(] No way I was finding anything with that happening.
I decided to paddle to the end of the creek anyway and see how I went on the way back.
The wind was quite strong now and I could feel it as I rounded the last corner on the creek. Only 100m or so to go. I dutifully landed where my GPSr wanted and again it said 39m to GZ. [B)]
I had a tiny amount of phone service here, so in desperation I looked up the cache on the app. Yeah 39m that way. I turned the GPSr off and back on and hoped for the best.
Over to the spot that I had liked as GZ on my way along the creek and sure enough there it is.
A chopper was doing water runs while I was at this one. Very cool to watch that big bird.

Originally logged as KaleidoscopeCass on 17/7/18, with my geo-hubby WallabyTim being the original CO. We have since combined our caching efforts to become WallabyWanderers but no longer live at Noosa. Thanks to dahumbug for adopting this cache and so many water caches!
I love my geohubby and CO WallabyTim but I don't like him very much when he places caches like this one! Grrrr...the things we do for a smiley
A great morning out on the Sunny Coast and a perfect time for a paddle with smooth waters and bush all around. We picked up the challenge cache and the old one plus the new series which all make for a great paddle. No real problems with the hides and a great view on entering the lake from the creek with a friendly Pelican. TFTC
With reports that the creeks of the Sunny Coast had been recently sprouting dozens of new caches, a plan was hatched to paddle Eenie and Cooloothin Creeks with Slow Puncture to see what we could find.
After changing Creeks and launching at the handy ramp, we were on our way down Cooloothin, making observations about how much murkier the water seemed here and the relative absence of fish and bird life compared to Eenie Ck. All containers were located and signed, with varying degrees of gymnastic ability required to gain access to each of the fantastic plastic tubes.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache **WallabyTim**.

Quick and easy find. We had an enjoyable morning paddle along this water way. There was no wind, so was very easy paddle. We parked near a letterbox that had a bird thinking it was its house.
At the start I let CDAH55 do the navigation and research for todays caches. He decided to paddle up the wrong creek where there were no caches, so he was sacked and I took over.
He had completed all these caches at night time straight after work, but came back as he wanted the mystery cache. We made an error and actually went to the posted co ordinates of the mystery cache. I noticed we were not the only ones as there was quite a geo trail. After reading the log left by Nyssa we knew we were in the wrong spot. Finally worked out the error of CDAH55 ways and got to the right location. Was an easy climb and find.
We completed the down stream caches first then the up stream caches next. This was a really nice place to paddle. We performed various trapeze acts and gymnastics getting in out of the kayaks to get the cache. CDAH55 ended up in drink right at the very end getting out of his kayak.

Mrs Slow Puncture put out the call for anyone wanting to go kayaking along Cooloothin Creek, so Mrs Just a Trifle put her hand up to have a day of fun Que Sera and JACS Team were also up for some hijinks so it was a nice little group to paddle out toward Lake Cootharaba and work our way back finding caches along the way On our way, we bumped into the Cache Owner who also joined us for the day
We had a great day out on the water and enjoyed all the caches we found.
Thank you WallabyTim for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

After having a couple of weeks off caching since pulling the pin on a doing my year streak. I answered a call for a group paddle. Having recently done the CO’s fish series I knew these would be good and I was not wrong. Met up with Slow Puncture, Just a Trifle and Que Seria for a mornings adventure. Through Instagram I had mentioned our plans to the CO, WallabyTim, and he met us on the river to share the paddle and some stories. After making a wrong detour up a side stream we eventually got on the right path and made for the last in the series first. A stunning tree here with many hiding spots so I was pleased when I could shout out ‘seen’! SP completed the signing duties for us all and then we were on our way back down the river.

Sunday. Slow Puncture was out today with Que Sera, JACS Team, JAT and Wallaby Tim who we met whilst paddling to this cache. This is a lovely area and the creek we decided to start at the end nearest the river entrance. With the CO encouraging us by telling us that this first cache for us will be interesting to retrieve, I was a bit worried! We came to GZ and I saw a most amazing tangle of a tree and whilst my yak was being held in place by JACS, I dived into the labyrinth. Log was signed and replaced. It was nice to know the CO was there, just in case we couldn’t find any of his caches! No problem here though, great tree Thankyou for placing this cache here for us all to find today. We didn’t see any cheeky wallabies or nefarious water creatures on our paddle today. A FP awarded for a fantastic tree!
This was the 1st of 9 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***WallabyTim***, for showing us this place.

We didn’t see any cheeky wallabies or nefarious water creatures on our paddle today. A FP awarded for a fantastic tree!
This was the 1st of 9 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***WallabyTim***, for showing us this place.
Mrs slow punture organised a paddle today to find the caches along here. We met up with jacs team and just a trifle and decided to go to find this cache first. On the way we bumped into the co. It took us a bit of going around in circles to find tgis cache and then mrs slow puncture took the climb. Enjoyed the view from here, beautiful spot . Thankyou wallaby Tim for taking us here and it was great to meet you.
**FTF** with CDAH55
On this lovely afternoon there were caches published while i was still at work in Brisbane. There was a wherigo cache published out on the water at Bribie, but the allure of 5 shiny new caches out on the water was the better target for the day. Not to be too selfish and share FTFs with other, I rang CDAH55 to come join me for the experience.
**End of Copy and Paste Section**
With the previous 4 caches spotted evenly between us at 2 a piece, the game was poised for a tie breaker of sorts. With just the red light flashing, I spotted where GZ was first in the moonlight. I said "can you see where it will most likely be". We both circumnavigated the little island where we thought GZ was and then the container was spotted . The winner is...geocaching.
Thanks WallabyTim for a nice little series here.
FP for the series.

{FTF} jointly with Dahumbug at around 18:15 on 23 April 2018.
I had just arrived home from work when I had a message from Dahumbug that he was heading up and would I be interested in going for a paddle with him and maybe we might get lucky and get some FTF's in the process.
It was getting late but why not, so I packed up my kayak and some night lights and met up with Dahumbug about 20 minutes later.
We hit the water just as the light was failing but with our headlamps and a half moon, the paddling was quite pleasant.
We found all the caches that we were after.
This was the fifth of five.
All is good with this cache.
Find #1443
