Saw the string however there was nothing attached to it..

Attempted this one with Eldritch and Chakram but I think it's gone. We found the string tied to a branch but sadly no cache nearby or on the ground either.

Filling in some time while Pebbles is training, I ventured into Gungahlin for some caching, as Belconnen is getting empty. I went back to some caches of the Critter series that I had not managed last time. Three out of three found today (during which I was stuck on the phone with the insurance - hail damage) that felt good.

Had to do some first aid at this cache. Container was hanging across the bush. No logbook but lid found on the ground. So put it back together with a pice of paper as a temporary log. And untangled and put it hung it more into the middle. Now was it hail damage or just some kids finding it. Will see what time brings. Had to stop at this point and go back to Pebbles.

Thank you Darzee Di for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Over from Adelaide to see the inlaws celebrate Cachemas day tomorrow.
Took a minute to find, and then a further minute to extract log.

The temptation for a souvenir was still lurking for us, and we have already found five of the required six caches. Because we are time poor around this time of year, we scoped out one that we could attempt whilst our on our feeding run. So after seeing this one was on our route, we stopped for a quick find on a smokey afternoon.

Very easy find, as it had fallen, and was hanging from its cord, swinging in the breeze. I popped it back up on a nice perch after signing the log.
The nearby road was reasonably busy, so I had to wait for a gap in the traffic to retrieve and replace. There were also muggles on the path.

We had some time to spare before attending a CITO event at Gungahlin, so decided to add a few more caches to the day's list to be done with ilook4geo. This was one found and all was in good order, with the log soon having two more names on record. Thank you to Darzee Di for placing and maintaining this cache.

Our last gem for the day
Thanks Darzee Di for placing this geocaches 7352 find for me. We six are driving from Albury to Canberra. Our aim is to find caches in three States. The detective promo has started too. So we will be hunting down clues.

The time has finally arrived for a massive Australian road trip with The Kiwi Chicks. We are GraciesGPSfun , thedbees , Ethness, Infoferret , Jude_E and me Nosynel. We might sometimes sign the geocaches as KCs or TKCs.

Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

We are on a geocaching holiday from NZ following the Ozgeomuster in Wollongong. Four kiwi caching chicks (KCC) are having fun exploring NSW and ACT. We are also doing the museum souvenir things and this one filled in a gap. It was found in the dark! Thanks for the cache.

This was easier than I thought it would be, some in this series have been more of a challenge than you'd think. Tried to replace in a way that would hide it a little better from the casual eye.

An early mark from work for me meant a spur of the moment Northside geomission with ZimbaW Big Grin Great to make a clean up of some local caches we'd not made the collect on for ages and several which had recently spawned.

ZimbaW had made the find on this one previously so I wandered over from the geounit to make the easy find of the critter!

Thanks for the hide, Darzee Di Cool

The things we find hanging around the place! I met the CO this morning at the Clear Waters reception area and here I am this afternoon finding this critter guarding a cache near we had ordered ourselves some Turkish bread, falafels, etc about 150m away. Although I was very tired, I made one last effort for the day and sought this out to add to my Cachopoly page. All in good condition.

My last unfound Crazy Critter cache at this current stage! Big Grin
So decided I would come pick it up, parked nearby in the shopping complex and made the short walk over. The hint was slightly confusing but the cache was very easily and quickly spotted! Took care with the camo and soon had the log signed and everything replaced as found.

Thanks for another cache in this series Darzee Di! I have enjoyed finding caches with a cute theme Smile

F(H)ound it! #2969 @12:25 PM

Stopped at a nearby servo, I still had half a tank but I wanted to use the facilities so I bought some petrol to be polite. After filling up I went in to pay and was told that they have no loos, What??!!. I did not believe him, and told him so, and said I was sorry I had bought his petrol (so there). The Nerve!!! Big Grin. Anyway, I managed to find relief at a mall across the road but it meant more pfaffing about in car parks and not caching. LOL.

The RP enjoyed a bit of off-lead rambling while I made the quick find at GZ. Not as cute as the last Critter - but still a fine beast.

Thanks for the cache Darzee Di

I've been a bit lazy chasing up caches so close to home, but today was the day to sort all of that out. Caught up with a friend who was drone racing across the road from this cache.

I thought I had spotted this cache last time I rode through, and was a bit worried when I found smashed remains of a bird box (or the like), but a double check of the co-ords had me moving onto the next lot of trees, where a very out of place creature was staring back at me!

TFTC DD!

Yay - Happy Birthday to me - I got to turn a lonely blue sad face into a nice cherry yellow smiley Smile
I was actually feeling like Death warmed up (feel a bit better now, but still not sure what is wrong - awaiting results of blood tests) but feeling horrible or not, I wasn't quite dead yet, so I wanted to find at least one Geocache ON my Birthday. I also needed to come over this way to retrieve my geocaching notebook from under the COs doormat (turns out I had accidentally dropped it in her car while we were coming back from the GIFF event a few weeks ago) so I figured what better than to do both things at once and find one of her caches ... And the nearest one was this one, which was actually missing last time I looked ... has since been replaced, so was perfect.
TFTC - the CO arrived home at the same time I arrived there so we had a quick chat before she had to dash off, and I drove a few streets away and had a nice short walk from where I parked. Also a nice easy find, and was just the therapy I needed (but wow - I really felt tired by the time I got home from the Canberra Quilters meeting I then went to (sat there like a zombie, feeling "out of it", picked at a bit of the supper for my dinner and for about the first time ever I wasn't one of the last people to leave) ... am a little bit better now, but still not good.
This was also the first cache my 2 new TBs visited (well, they watched from the car, like the others I had with me) I got them in my Secret Santa cache, and decided it would be nice to activate them on my birthday Smile

Petrol ice cream and a cache in a new suburb. What more could a couple of cachers want on a late night cache run!? So nice to be back out hunting caches with Krispystrips again. A cool little critter for us to find. Tftc

Cache 4300on 25 Nov 2018

Decided latish on Sunday afternoon to head north and try and find a cache or two. Sadly the particular challenge cache I was looking for eluded me, but still had to try and find a couple of others. This one was easily spotted and log retrieved with the help of an improvised tool - dead twigs are super handle that way! Nice critter on the container - did not know they climbed trees!

Thanks Darzee Di for the cache and the fun!

#4498 Found with CBRChic while slightly jet-lagged after returning from the UK. It was a lovely spring day and the last day of my holidays, so CC joined me for lunch and a quick gc grab. This was a previous DNF for me, so good to erase that blight.
Thanks Darzi Di for the critter.

Met up with StrangeTrousers who had just returned from walking from one side of England to the other to hear about his adventures and relax in the sunshine. After lunch and hearing about ST's adventures he had a quick check of what new caches were round. Why not - get one on his last day of his holidays and especially in the warm sunshine in Canberra. ST had endured some pretty average weather whilst away so some caching back home in the warmth would be a bonus. Loaded and tried out the c:geo app for the first time finding this cache.

Thanks Darzee Di for placing the cache here and had a little laugh when I saw it.

27-Aug-18
This cache has been taken again so am disabling it until I can arrange for a new cache and possible new location to prevent from being damaged/stolen.

25-Aug-18
I was over at Gold Creek for a Meetup walk and coffee afterwards, decided I felt like some Geocaching... was thinking about just grabbing a GA cache nearby on my way home (have found all the GC ones between there and home), but then I noticed there was also a moveable GA one over this way and figured - while I am over here I may as well find some more of these caches while I am here... maybe even make an afternoon of it and turn another patch of green dots into smileys Smile
I too did not find this... searched in quite a few places - partly because my phone was messing up and telling me I was still at the previous cache (not sure if it was because I only had about 7% battery or, more likely - because it was an overpriced price of garbage and next time I will buy a different brand than Sony because although it does all sorts of wonderful things when it does work, I am sick of having to re start it every day because something or another has stopped working, and/or it totally freezes up) ... so I just looked at where the marker was on the map and looked in ALL the possible spots, including all the ones that matched what I think the hint means (maybe not the best hide to use in this particular area now?... lots of yucky rubbish and signs of digging/etc that probably isn't just frustrated cachers doing said digging around).

09-Aug-18
I am in the UK and not back until 25 August so will check it then. It has been muggled previously so may have happened again.

07-Aug-18
With much gnashing of teeth, I log this DNF! There was a lovely, logical spot a bit off the co-ords but no luck. Will put on my watch list and pounce after it has been found.

07-Aug-18
Unfortunately, we had to add our names to the DNF's, we read through most of the logs, searched almost every tree with a 20m radius, but no luck this time, on our watch list.

25-Jul-18
Well, I came tonight and searched every tree within a 25mtr radius of the coords and couldn’t find it. Was even with a previous finder who told me which tree and what they found. I could have missed it, but for a 1.5D I shouldn’t have??? Thanks anyway.

23-Jul-18
He is there if you look. Read the description it helps. Thanks for the caches in the series

23-Jul-18
Thanks for the confirmation it's still there darksidedan. More thorough searching required by me.

21-Jul-18
Tried to find this one with the geokids this morning but had no luck. Stood at posted coords and scratched my head trying to work out how the hint tied in. Didn't seem anywhere to hide a small sized cache. Widened the search to include nearby trees but nothing was found.

21-Jul-18
This critter eluded us tonight , even with the specific hint we couldn't spot it! Might have a try during the day.

15-Jul-18
Quick find on second attempt. Kids love the critters

We found it. Bye.

Quite a challenging cache, was found in the end but took some time, thought B.O.T standed for back of tunnel haha!

Bit of a drive around Belconnen, Parkwood Road, Church Lane and then Gunghalin for a few of the newer caches and a couple of not so new. TFTC.

Not a great day to get out caching weatherwise, but with an event at midday in the north, I took the opportunity to spend the morning clearing out as many of the newish caches as I could in this neck of the woods. After picking up a few by bike along the border, I then did a few park and grabs. A quick find here. TFTC.

07-Jul-18
Finally found .. thanks

03-Jul-18
Ended up at a strange location and poked around a few nearby trees, but didn't see anything. Eventually moved away to a more likely spot where I quickly found the cache. GPS was indicating 23m from GZ.

Thanks

28-Jun-18
Quick find this morning which was a good thing as I only did gave a little spare time! Approached the likely location, a little slippery underfoot after last night rain from my approach and in fairness of a quick find the head poking out from under the cover was a bit of a giveaway as well. Smile Soon signed and after covering it well was on my way again, thanks for the cache Darzee Di.

24-Jun-18
After the morning event I headed out for a bit more caching to enjoy the great weather. I walked over from the shops and was a bit worried not finding a cache at GZ. Happily the notes helped me find it some 20m to the West.

Thanks.

No pen to write names. Maybe next time.

24-Jun-18
We're in a period of very cold (-5C) overnight temperatures this week, so caching tends to start a bit later than usual, but once the sun was out it was very pleasant, still conditions. I only had a few hours today around lunchtime, so I tried to make the most of it before heading off to a friends birthday celebration.

There was no match for the hint at gz. Searched around likely spots but nothing found, crazy or otherwise.

Thanks anyway Darzee Di
