It was a soggy walk over so some cold, wet feet. A very interesting place to explore and a quick find of the cache. Tftc
Great to avenge my earlier DNF here today; I think the current hiding spot is far better than the old one in the chimney, preventing further damage to this piece of history.
Thanks for relocating this cache Farmers 5 - a great series!

Found with YoGorilla. I was helping my friends make a short film with this homestead; we had car access to Kowen Forest which meant we were able to drive within 100m of GZ. A quick find once we arrived. An awesome homestead that was awesome to explore. The sky was nice and blue today, no one else in sight. Beautiful views of the forests. TNLNSL. TFTC TF5!
Back again to claim this one - on a perfect winter’s day. An easy find given I had already spotted it from the other side of the fence. When replacing I attempted to provide a bit more cover from the back side, but it is still not perfect. TFTC - first to sign the new log sheet.
I stopped here for morning tea and forgot to look for this one until I was on my way again - sadly I was on the wrong side of the fence by then, so I was only able to look at the cache and not in a position to sign the log. That said, I hope to be back soon, so at least I know where to look next time.

Out for an easy caching wander with Noikmeister today but got stumped on this one. Once we'd honed in on the right spot tried numerous possible hidey-holes in detail but without success.
I am confident this cache is missing given the comments from a previous finder of "being in plain sight". I am also of the opinion that hiding the cache in amongst loose bricks of a historically significant chimney should be reconsidered.
Such a perfect day venturing on a nice 12km walk into the countryside with Dazzpete. It’s still here, just look at it from another perspective. TFTC
Not sure this is still hidden in accordance with the hint, just look at it from a different direction.

I can see where the cache would have been, unfortunately it is no longer there and the chimney looks like it's suffering a little as a result of bricks being pulled out and replaced in the hunt for the container.
No joy today and I am concerned about the potential damage that is being done to the outside wall - based on an earlier log, the cache is not here but the hint works and there is evidence of bricks being removed and becoming unstable as a result. Suggest a new location well away from such fragile structures.
Out with my youngest daughter doing some map and compass work for her Grey Wolf hike preparation. Mrs Oz KEG came along with us and was collecting the caches (I have already found) along the way. I am am pretty sure we looked where I found it previously, but we came up empty.
Easy find, but I'm concerned damage corps be done if people aren't careful. TFTC
A beautiful day for a walk. Got this on the spur of the moment great spot. TFTC
Another journey out to Kowen Forest for the fabled ‘Roo’ series. Hoping to have it completed before the Summer heat kicks in.
Parked just off the highway around 7am and headed out on foot along Charcoal Kiln Road. A perfect opportunity to check out the smaller ‘Walk back in Time’ series as well.
From the second I stepped out of the geomobile the flies were upon me, and didn’t let up for a second over the next 4.5 hours. Seriously annoying!
Wasn’t aware of the history of the region so much before, thanks TF5 for bringing me here. Found WBIT #1 through #5 without issue before heading into the forest proper. Again, no issues with the finds, Roo #43, #47, #46, #52, #51, #48 and #42 found with little to no scrounging around. Had previously worked out #44 and #45, just a little bit of back tracking required in collection. Heading out of the forest it was back past the gun club and down towards the river for WBIT #6 and #7. Came across a good sized brown wiggly stick as I entered the compound, slithering back under ruin brickworks. A little distracted with finding #6 now, hoping it was far enough away not to be an issue. Semi confidently searched around, bingo. A very quick sign and replace and no issue sighted.
Hiked across the raging creek and up to the hill summit for #7. A quick find followed by a well deserved rest. A carb and isotonic hit then back down the other side and onto the track leading to the geomobile. Not a muggle sighted all day although a few vehicles parked at the gun range.
Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining the caches, any significant issues or remarks or anything I might have found interesting added at the end of log.

I have driven past this trail many time and thought to myself that I needed to explore it. A month ago I parked at the start and grab one of the information brochures. Doing some research at home, I discovered that there was a nice GC trail giving me an additional reason to explore the track. Today was the day, my family was in Sydney so I could disappear and it wouldn't be noticed. I walked this trail in reverse order. A nice easy find, thanks for bringing me here and for the caches Farmers 5.
19,353. Found during a meander through the forest with minniek.
We didn't join any of the other 'cousins' wandering through the forest looking for Roos today, as we arrived at about 2:30. What we did manage was to visit most of these Walk Back in Time caches, plus some more caches a bit further east. Arrived at the Homestead for a nice quick find at GZ. Signed the log, returned the cache, and moved on to the next one.
Thanks The Farmers 5 !! Awesome looking around this historic area.

Super late start for fitzy_1965 and I today after I need a sleep in.
Decided to head into Kowen forest for this little series today. A fascinating little bit of history.

Interesting spot here, and good that you can go inside (once I found the gate!). Cache found OK.
Thanks,
Thanks,
A day of caching in the Kowen Pine Forest with Marmaduke Rothschild. A happy medium between drive by and bush bashing. Thank you to every cache owner for placing and maintaining the caches for our enjoyment.
A walk in Kowen with JohnnyBoyACT for a few of the newer caches. Always like it in here with easy trails, light scrub and open field. A DNF for me last time however I suspect the CO has since added a hint as to-day was a quick find. I had been searching around the corner on my previous attempt. TFTC.
Out in the countryside with Bluewattle and come across this wonderful old piece of history. Beaut walk to get this one and liked the hide, a favorite point from me.

Had to come back to find this one (this time on my bike) as we missed it last time we were here. I think we were too excited by the homestead.
**This Cache:**
This was probably one of my favourite locations for the day! Was good to walk inside and explore the different rooms, and look at the interesting things on the shelf above the fire place and all the bricks lying around. Started off on the wrong side of the wall at GZ, but soon ventured further and made a nice discovery. One of the best hides in the series too, so this one definitely deserves a favourite point all round! Thanks
**This Series:**
Ever since this series has come out I have been really keen to do it, I never knew this historic/heritage walk existed, nor that it was all on public property! But after reading the description and comments it became a priority!
I have attempted to do this series twice now, but both times I have been distracted by Tankengine caches, which included FTF's!
So today the plan was set once again, and I came along with DSD. It was a very eventful but hot walk when the sun came out as there was barely any shade the entire time! We did the Walk in Time series, as well as one Tankengine cache, and DNF'd the cache near the railway bridge
We saw cows, bulls, kangaroos, two brown snakes (both in creeks!) and lots of fly's, horse fly's and grasshoppers.
Thanks for the fun Farmers 5!

Thank you for the cache and the adventure signed dsd or DARKSIDEDAN depending on the size of the cache
A great day to get out and do some caching. This is a great little series. I had always wondered what was in this area. I suspected private farming, so this was unexpected.
Nice to be able to get in close and look around.
All caches found and in good condition.
Thanks for the trek into the past, The Farmers 5.

It's a beautiful day and Genghicat has joined me to do some of Kowen roo. This series, however, caught our imagination.
We thoroughly explored these buildings. My mother tells me about 9 of them fitting into a little home but seeing the size of these 2 buildings lends a whole new reality to that. So different from what we expect today. I wish there was more information about it's weather proofing.... not just what they did but how, and have it maintained properly. So interesting.
Cache was found in good condition. Tftc

Touchstone7 and I decided to look at doing some of the Kowen Roo series before it invariably gets archived due to the logging of the pine forests.
This little series was on the way, so decided to take a look and grab the caches while exploring the local history. Amazing place and a nice history lesson. Amazing just how people lived back then.

After competing in the ACT Long Distance Orienteering Champs east of Bungendore, I stopped off to ride the Glenburn Heritage trail and find these caches. About 1.5 hours all up. Cache easily found. TFTC.

Out with Jusojara for Rally Prep for this years National Capital Rally and we decided to take a detour to grab some caches
After jumping back in the cars this one was just a short drive and a gate and we had arrived, This one took the longest of all and after searching for a while we decided to PAF - Who was able to zero us in - Reminds me of a game with little wooden blocks

Fourth for DRT and I today and after a good search we had to resort to the PAF option here. Our friend directed us to a place that we had thought about searching but thought it might 'bring the house down' so to speak.
After the advice we carefully removed the cache's camo and had it in hand - TFTC

How interesting is this homestead, the dual buildings of such contrasts. Life would have been very hard back then. We lunched in the wooden hut, and had a good inspection of the relics inside. The mud slab house being in disrepair meant we could only peer through the windows. Again spot on coords led to a quick find, but a tricky little hide. Left a WoW dwarf figurine. TFTC The Farmers 5.
Today I headed off on the bike, to try and collect these new caches! This one was the third one for the day. I have been to all these locations with geocaching before, but they were archived about 6 years ago. A while after that, I was going to place some caches at these spots, but had a very nasty run-in with the supposed owners of the shearing shed.
I was going to do #1 next, but the weed sprayer dudes were there, so came here instead. Nice to see this place again, thanks TF5.

*FTF* 10.52pm with dty73. Again the reflective marker where very easy to spot well off into the distance, a quick look by torch and then the bright moonlight meant we could enjoy walking through without a torch. The buildings around the area where easily seen in the distance over the area despite the late hour. We did have an explore but will return during the day for a better look and much better photos, but a great place and enjoyed looking around and the bright night time did add to the experience not draw away from it. Took a little search, had the right idea but by torch took a little longer than it should. Thanks for the cache and the walk back in time The Farmers 5, an easy earn FP for the location and the series.
*FTF* 10:52pm with Aquilus1. I love this homestead. Great place. The chairs and table in one of the houses were a little weird, but the fireplace and the relics on the shelf above were pretty cool. Tftc!!!
