My wife, grandson and I had a pretty good look on 25 October but didn't find it. I guess we'll just have to come back another day!
Came today as sick of our blue frown here. Today we searched and searched as no one here. Just leaving when decided to try something else. Oh my goodness Mrs C yelped in delight. Wow this is the cache. So happy to sign log. Thanks for this clever hide forestg1.
Took a while as wasnt expecting it to be so small and difficult for my paws to open
I am down in Christchurch for an extra long long weekend. I had a sleep in, then got up and had a shower a shave and a sh... breakfast, and still the rest of the household is still asleep! Bugger that, I grabbed the keys and headed out. found a bunch of caches in the dark then got to here shortly before dawn, ie full daylight.Nice easy find as there was no one here. I think places caches like this in playground areas like this is quite dodgy. Especially as the very low D rating suggests we don't have to wait for any "right" time.
Thankfully only one parent and kid here. Explained what I was going to do, no problem. Crawled under all hint items bar one could only get arm under. Knees left DNA, took covers off screws and replaced no logs.
Our family moved to Christchurch a few months back, and since then we have had the privilege of hosting some of my Wellington Puzzlers group members for caching weekends. This weekend was TwigNZ's turn for a visit. It's fish and chip Friday. An adventure just to get to a F & C shop that it open for some reason, 3rd time lucky! It must be a good chipper as we were told it was a 25min wait. What to do while waiting!! *light bulb moment* Let's go geocaching! This was the third cache on our whirlwind mission. By the time we got here it was drizzling quite substantially. Luckily it didn't take long for me to locate, sign and replace, then back off to the chipper (where our F&C still weren't ready). Thanks for the cache.
I very much love getting to visit the South Island. Until recently it wasn't something I got to do very often, but in the last year I've managed a series of mini-trips for geocaching, and here we are at the start of 2024 with another one. Just like my first SI trip in 2023, I've come to Christchurch to target a few specific caches to help with my Jasmer Grid, and qualification for a few challenges I'm currently working on.This is Day 2, and it's been raining (mostly) all day. I've still managed to get out and find a reasonable number of caches so I'm happy. Tonight I offered to get Fish 'n' Chips for my hosts, and having ordered them we were told we'd have to wait about 25 minutes. Well, that sounds like good caching time right there, so we jumped back into the car and found 3 caches of which this was the third.ThatDarnBear made the find here, as we tried to keep out of the worst of the rain. No issues to report with this cache, and we soon added our names to the log and then replaced everything as found before heading back to the fish 'n' chip shop again. Thanks for setting this one up.
This is the closest unfound cache to my sisters house, which is where we are staying for Christmas. We were out walking the dogs today, and the stars aligned in that we walked straight past this and the coast was clear of muggles. This is a previous DNF that we gave a nudge a while back on an evening walk down to the clubs. It was a bit dark, so did not log the DNF then. Took just a couple of minutes tonight.TFTC forestq1
Located with Ricardinho Out on an evening walk with RNZ, his sister, brother-in-law & doggo Located this pretty quickly as there was noone around tonight. TFTC
No luck today - had a good ol' search incl the hint, but didn't come up with the cache. Kids had a lovely play meantime...
First of this type of container! Seen pics and now ive found and logged for myself TFTC
Gave it 15 minutes then scrammed when a bunch of kids turned up. No clue where it is.
Seen a few of these lately, and it was a chilly day, so didn't spend too long looking odd. Needed a TOTT from the car to extract the log.
All good here.
All good here.
Such an amazing spot took us a couple minutes to find it but we did. First I’ve seen like this, so cool! TFTC!
Pleased to turn this one from a dnf into a found. IN the day light and about 20C must have helped because last time it was about freezing point and dark.
First one I’ve ever found in an actual playground! That was fun. Wish I was still little. Found with LittleTan.
Immediate find due to good coordinates and an experienced Geocaching eye, while Snugpup was busy looking in the wrong place.
Last person to sign prior to us is Ginger SB on 26/9/22.
TFTC- these crafty wee hides are my fav!!!

tried for almost half an hour to find it but no dice! i’m new so i’m not exactly sure what i’m looking for, but ah well
Under the cover of night I found this one! Took me a while after checking all over&under the playground. First one of these for me! Loved it. Took me a while to get the log out but managed eventually.
Nice quiet day today so no muggles around! Cool container, the first one I've seen like this! TFTC!
I have returned to this one afew times with no luck. But DM seems to have the nack & helped me. 4th time lucky. TFTC
Very clever! Took a while but once we changed our mindset of what we were looking for, found it quickly. TFTC!

I was down in Chch for a few days and planned a few caches in the designated area. I lloked in all the wrong parts initially until i re read the info and refocaused my searched which was fruitful and the cache was soon in hand signed , and replaced. Luckily the no little muggles and the associated family soon moved on so i was able to have a good search at knee level around the the area. all was well with the cache here .
thank you for this cache . Cheers .
thank you for this cache . Cheers .
Couldn't find this. Am new to the scene so not sure if it was me being useless or it's been muggled
A playground cache? Of course mum, let's go for it! Too busy to play, I was the one who made the find and logged while little cacher was enjoying the equipment. Nice place, thanks for sharing it with us. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Hint helped as the note from CO to reduce the scope of the search.
When I arrived, there were some selfish kids hogging the equipment, but eventually they took their mom and left.
I couldn't believe there were so many places to hide a cache. TFTC.

#20419. I needed a cache find today, and the stars finally aligned for this one (many thanks to the CO for so diligently maintaining the cache). All quiet at GZ today and a quick find. I made sure to pack some tweezers; just as well as I would have struggled to extract the log without them. TFTC.
Cache was there, but not in the original location. I have relocated this to a similar but more Central location (Hint still applies). PLEASE Take care and be aware of muggles.
Looks like this has been muggled two days after replacing it. Will need to wait for replacement cache
Having checked the cache location after the owner put it back in its proper place, I went back today to do the paper work .... and .... it wasn't there! Looked through the bark for a while, but was unable to spot it.
Very windy but sunny day today. Kids enjoyed playing here and we enjoyed finding the cache. TFTC.
Returned cache to original spot, but otherwise all in order. Please place cache back where you find it
No luck for me today. I'd located this on a scouting mission some months back, and the cache definitely wasn't where my notes said it should be. Probably gone; could do with an owner check.
No luck today, but we're out of practice so it was probably our hunting skills that let us down today
Popped into get this after work to fill in a dot day. What a cool cache. Just about missed it. Thanks for cache.
First find. Looked for it a couple of weeks ago with no luck, but came back today and found it. It was so obvious once we knew what to look for! Unfortunately we didn't bring a pen. Thanks.
Cover of darkness did not help looking for this one.
It is seriously hidden on/under the playground!
