I needed an early morning walk and thought, "Why not wake up with a cache?". The sky was ominously grey, strong wind and rain close, but I was able to find unscathed.Thank you for the cache.
Nice job, the kids enjoyed the bush bashing and the little game path. Its just missing a pen, unfortunately we only had one so couldnt leave it
There is a burn off in the area so have taken offline until can get in and inspect.CJJAHC

NOW THIS WAS AN ADVENTURE! Whilst walking through the crinigan bush reserve today, on the hunt for some caches. When we came across this caches GPS coords we were a bit taken aback. But nevertheless, we started our journey. The bushbash was fun, but to team Loesch, the terrain should be a three judging by the trail that leads to the cache. The container was in great condition, unlike our legs!TFTEC Team Loesch TNLNSL TFTC +1FPA
Lovely sized cached needed a bit of a hunt, its a bit messy. 6 m difference in here can mean a lot!Its got a great host though!TFTC
Nothing like a bit of holiday bush bashing - to locate this surprisingly sizeable cache. TFTC
Grabbing some caches on a the trip to High country. An early morning walk through Crinigan Bushland ReserveThanks Team Loesch
Day two of a short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches. This morning I started in Morwell at the Crinigan Bushland Reserve.I seemed to have most of the park to myself. A nice ride around the parkTook a little while to find my way into this one, but a good sized cache when I found it.Thanks, Robmc.
11:43Based in Traralgon for a couple of days gave us the opportunity to explore the local area instead of just driving past heading for Bairnsdale. Crinigan Bushland Reserve was a great opportunity for walking and caching. The detailed cache notes gave us the feeling of being in an aviary with the birds - magic!Accessing this one from the west proved challenging. As usually happens, we found the best way in on our way out! Thanks to Team Loesch for creating this fabulous series. 35766

Thank you for the grand Geocache. Found a treasure left some treasures. Enjoying the hike. Thank You so much for placing these.
Walked all the tracks here and collected caches along the way, beautiful place and could here the black cockatoos today and kookaburras!
Thank you for taking us to this lovely area, enjoyed the walk!

It’s moments like these that I curse Day1976 and his darned “12 caches in each LGA challenge.
Started the day on zero for LaTrobe and settled on this power trail to get most of my smileys - that was a mistake. However, I can rest assured in the knowledge that dragging my sorry frame through the scrub has created A Highway for the next intrepid traveler.
Quick find with good coordinates - cache was wet but log bone dry. Tftc

This cache made me frustrated. We tried from all angles to get to it. And then decided to look at the name. The name is how you get to it. Nice open area and probably the bestscache today. Nice and big. Tftc
Another bit of bashing through scrub again but an easy one to find after that. TFTC!
Out and about with Au.fait with the aim to collect the Crinigan reserve caches.more unexpected bush bashing on this one .. before an easy find.
Having a wonderful day caching in the delightful company of Tiz13. We targeted the caches in the Crinigan Reserve and a few others as we do. I really enjoyed walking in this lovely resurrected bushland area and so pleased there is a friends group caring for it. Seems bush bashing is our preferred method to getting to caches NOT. An easy find was our reward TFTC Team Loesch
Cracking day for a walk, so I took advantage of a school hours day off with the last traditional cache on my list at this reserve in my sights. I thought I had figured out the most direct route in here, turns out there were zero geo-trails to guide me in, only brush and more brush. Wondering why I cache sometimes, I was grateful to reach a welcomed clearing and find an impressive cache. On leaving, I took an easier, more obvious route but still managed to lose my pen and get more skin off than I’d like! Glad there was no-one around to witness the strange girl with dusty pants, sticks in hair, tumbling out of the scrub! Thanks for the adventure, Team Loesch.
Somehow I think I approached from the wrong direction. Perserverence paid off though. Tftc
Found with gwd.aussie. Heading in off Red Wattle Bird Drive we took a labyrinthine approach to the gz instead of a direct route trying to avoid the thickest of the bush. Once at GZ the cache was quickly found and log signed. We discussed trying to go back the same way but decided to take a different and more direct route out through the thick bush which brought us out on Magpie Drive.
Thanks Team Loesch

We just bush bashed to this cache and back out another way out to celebrate Blue Switch Day

Well there is no easy way into this cache but I think I chose the hardest. Doesn't look that far from the track but bush is pretty thick. Fortunately easy to spot once there. I know why I left it last time! Thanks.
Out for a new year caching session, despite the heat it was a good day. Good day to be out as there was no else here. Actual saw a red wattlebird on this track so that was lucky, cache was found and log signed

my new to geocaching friends came along and alas her phone fell out of her pocket on the way in she didnt realise until we reached the cache, we all thought we would never, find it given the thick brush and bush bashing to get into the cache, but by some miracle we managed to spot it on the way out was such low odds of finding it again, so we got lucky, I wouldn't recommend this cache, it is definatley not for everyone, bush bashing into thick scrub with no tracks could easily turn bad for some... take care here
Cache in place and log dry, swag added for the geokids

4 picked, 4 sought, 4 found. So a good 45 mins of hunting. Most ti.e spent was moving on between each. Only needed my phone (it's the only device I ever need) and pen, and a trusty little geohound came for the stroll. Fortunately I've experienced hours of bashing through Tasmanian scrub so the little required here was a doddle.

Found by the intrepid young uns . A tiny bit too much bush bashing for my liking so we left it to the more agile members of the team
Definitely a mission to get this one. But determination and cuts all over my legs (shouldn't have worn shorts) found it and logged thanks for the challenge
Found with geowife kezza1211 naturegirl and rogerz1956 you would not want to come in here in summer tftc
Could not miss it after 75 m of bias bashing. Left something for GOT fans. Thanks for the cache.
We came up to Morwell for the Hawthorn/St Kilda match this afternoon and after eating our lunch at the picnic shelter, we headed off to find the caches in this park before the match.
After the DNF at Reserved we headed to this one but couldn’t find an entrance, we did a complete circuit around this one going as per tracks on attached photo. At The Ponds area we walked in alongside the pond but that track petered out too (although if we’d had more time we might have persisted) but as we had spent so much time doing the circuit we had to give up on this one and head to the next one

I took the wrong trail towards this one and had a 100 meters of bush bash in the rain. Then walked 20 meters past before startingmy search. Then found a nice large container. After signing the log, I followed what I thought was a trail until the dead end and then had another 50 meters of pure bush bash thru wet thick tee-trees towards the main path.
Now hiding over cover writing the log hoping this pouring rain is going to stop, so I can finish these geocaches. 5 more before heading back to car.
Thanks for the cache Team Loesch

Headed to Morwell today for an enjoyable walk around this reserve finding caches, I saw quiet a few birds in the area. I was a little puzzled as to what the photo location points were. no idea if there was a track, 100m bush bash today.
Thanks Team Loesch for the cache.

TFTC. We had had lunch in Morwell as we explored some of the area. While having coffee we spied this series of caches in the park. We parked at the entrance and then walked around the park, collecting caches as we went. Some bush bashing but not no bad. Found them all without too much difficulty. Thanks for putting these out and maintaining them to enhance our experiences in the area.
Not the easiest to access. Needed to bush bash no matter which way we tried .

I saw these caches in town last night, knowing we'd be in town today, so not knowing the area at all well, we found a park at the hospital and off we went.
What a great series these turned out to be, as parking where we did, we had no hill to contend with and enjoyed our walk around the park.
Thanks Team Loesch for the placement.

Not sure if there's an easier way to get here than the way we came. Once we got here it was easy finding. Great spot.
We definitely went the hard way to this one (straight in from the ponds). Must be an easier entry somewhere

A bit of bush bashing to get to this one. The tea tree was pretty dense in places but we managed to break through. Lucky we had our GPS to find out way back to the track after finding the cache. tftc
We decided to cache the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve today - we are so glad we did as during our 4.7 kilometre walk we found all the caches searched for and we also got to see 17 different species of birds and a possum, but sadly no Koala. We read the previous logs and wondered what everyone was complaining about as it really wasn't such a bad bush bash, although we suspect it might be a bit more challenging at a different time of year - at least there weren't any spiders! The spot on co-ordinates led us directly to this nice sized cache for a speedy find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for the adventure - and having bought us to this lovely Nature Reserve. Greetings from Zimbabwe
You can't do this without Shoes and Long Pants THIS IS A WARNING ️ (-Safety Message From MrSharpSword-)
Well, no one can ever accuse us of being prepared! As usual we waited until we got home until we read any logs from previous finders. Maybe we should have have read them before we set off in our shorts and thongs. A few scratches, and many swear words later we finally got to sign the logbook for this one.
We chose the road less travelled, faithfully following our trusty GPSr over hill and dale, through scrubland and bushland, under branches and spiderwebs, navigating erupting volcanoes and battling flood, earthquakes and tornadoes (maybe a little exaggeration here!) before we finally reached GZ. We consoled ourselves with the thought that once we reach GZ we can usually find a much more straightforward way back. Not quite the case here! We could find no sign of a track back, but we did choose an easier way to return.
All in all an unexpected bit of adventure, but we did enjoy it (once we had finished that is).
Thanks once again Team Loesch, a favourite from us, and we resolve once again go be a bit more prepared before we set out next time

After travelling from Tassie overnight on The Spirit of Tasmania, we made our first stop at Morwell. It was good to get out of the car and enjoy walking around and exploring this very pleasant reserve. The most memorable feature were the birds - there were so many different species, all calling as we walked around.
There may have been a easier way to get to GZ but we didn't find it. Instead it was a 70m bush bash through scrub. Thankfully accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well constructed and well hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Team Loesch for this cache and the series.

Went for a maintenance stroll today. Have added extra seal today, should stay dry now.
What was to have been a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to accompany leafotwind on his 3,000th cache find (since I had also recently completed the Victorian Premiers whereigo ) became an 8 day trip because there was a CITO [^] at Traralgon the next day which then led to Mallacoota and the Snowy Mountain Highway [^] since I couldn't legally use the Great Alpine Road as I didn't have snow chains because the boring freeway back to Melbourne and then back to Shepparton didn't sound like fun
The first day, I met my sister in Bendigo as she waited for her semi to be unloaded and reloaded, so we went op shopping in the meantime[:X] From there it was off to Melbourne and the group find of the Victorian Premiers whereigo which had taken me to many spots in Victoria [^] Then the group slogged our way up a slippery, muddy slope [|)][xx(] to get a couple of simple drive by 4 x 4 caches (when the tracks are open) before caching on into the night
I made a find on a previous DNF at Moe then it was off to Clean Up a Creek at Traralgon [^] followed by finding some bloody good caches (both containers and reasons for placement) around the area with leafotwind, NoWorries andAlphaDeltaIndigo [:X], chatting to Crisp image as the group found Wherever I Lay My Hat before Rex and I left the group, walking in the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve at dusk[^], seeing a huge Dr21 dredger once used for coal mining and now placed at Morwell, finding a tiny grave in the middle of a shopping area , finding my 1st 3D printed cache container and then it was off to the Lakes Entrance area and wandering out on the peninsula[^]
Seeing old RAAF airfields and radio bunkers, seeing tiny country towns and meeting some great people (including an almost muggle woman and her children in Mallacoota where she had previously looked for 1 cache and who may now get into geocaching properly [^]), seeing the sun rise while surrounded by kangaroos and standing on the eastern coast of Vic and chatting with Rollmatrix throughout my time in Mallacoota and Genoa
Spending a few hours chatting with a lovely truckie, Michael [:X], who was on a wood chip run to Canberra as we traversed the countryside in the dark (after I had apologised for slowing down his fully laden rig as Harry crawled his way up a hill ) then I pulled into Cooma for a break and an EC and also found a cache, Southern Cloud, about the aircraft accident and then accidentally ended up at another memorial cache, Southern Comfort, Southern Cloud or Southern Storm, later on in the trip
Seeing brumbies amongst the snow along the edge of the road at night in the mountains in NSW [^], seeing a thermal pool early in the morning with steam rising from it in the cold air and water plants growing up from the sandy bottom [^], seeing the grave of the alleged Man from Snowy River while finding the multi The Man from Snowy River - HCPPP [^] and then chatting to SciFiRulz who I managed to sneak in a quick visit with before heading home and finding The Highest Railway Station on the way
Over the 8 days there was 9 DNFs (although I did manage to find a few on my 2nd attempts ), 1 CITO event attended and a total of 111 cache finds including 3 FTFs
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Out and about on a nice Winters Day cache hunting.
Crinigan Road Reserve or "The Bush".
The bush as it was call by us kids, when I lived in the area. This was my old stomping ground and spent many a day as a kid growing up and playing here.
Found the cache and signed the log.

YAY - found it today but I'm not sure how. I picked a track that looked like it would take me to GZ **BUT** that then turned into small path that then turned into a animal track and then a straight out bush bash . I had both the phone (geo app) and my Big Bertha Garmin gadget pointing me in the direction of more bush **BUT** apparently I was getting closer. I just kept my fingers crossed and kept trying to pick my way through. Still getting closer **BUT** still more bush to push through [:0]. Finally both the phone and Bertha beeped in unison - phew I was almost on top of GZ. Now, where is the cache container? **O.M.G.** - you can't miss that container - what a brilliant size! So, after releasing the top from the bottom and emptying out water (yes, there was water sitting in the bottom of the container - it may need some waterproofing attention. The log book is fine but the goodies left behind are very damp), I was able to sign the log. Now, how do I get out for here and find one of the walking tracks? Bugger - more bush bashing . I thought I'd try a different way out **BUT** this was worse that the way I'd come in and I wasn't really wanting to head back into the middle of the bush. Thank goodness for the phone geo app with a very good map - on I bashed 'cos the track was apparently very close (but I couldn't see it through the bush). Finally I made it out, covered in lots of little leaves and in one piece. Finding this cache turned out to be a big adventure .
Thanks Team Loesch for the big adventure - another find on the way to finding the different souvenirs of the Hidden Creatures challenge.

This was a nice challenge but thanks to my trusty Garmin gadget I was in & out of the forest quickly...TFTC
I’m glad today was a lovely day for a walk because this one certainly made me walk further than I intended to! After literally circling the cache, the closest I got being 78m I started going around again in case I missed a small, maybe overgrown path in. But nope, I don’t think I did. I decided to bush bash the 80m to GZ from the main path and it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, I’ve certainly been through much worse. The cache was found straight away, a great size for swaps and a sturdy construction. I came out a different way to the way I went in and while I still didn’t find an obvious route I think the path I went out was the more likely intended one. Thanks for a great hide
Out with kmps to find the new caches in this great reserve. Thanks and well done Team Loesch.
Out with theGGGs to hopefully grab a couple of caches while having a ride on the bikes.

Thanks Team Loesch FTC.
It was geohubby who suggested we take a walk around this reserve to log these caches. The reserve was different than I imagined and am surprised this was unchartered territory before now. We had a good walk and although some of the time we seemed to be scrambling through scrub we had some fun doing it. Tyftc
So we thought we found a path. It turned into an animal track. Then a smaller animal's track. Then an imaginary animal's track. This was a challenge. If there is a path, we needed pink tape or signs or flashing lights, a traffic cop, something. We made it, were pleasantly surprised by the size of the cache, we made it out and were puffed. TFTC Team Loesch.
I'd been waiting all day for mummy short legs to be free from home commitments and finally the call came thru at 4pm. Of course it's not too late or rainy to tackle a new series! So off we went with only a slight time restriction due to daddy long legs work commitments.
This one posed the most epic approach we had so far come across this series. I don't know if there was actually a path that headed in here but we certainly did not find it!!! Bush bashing in the dim evening light in the rain was fun! Good thing the coords were spot on! Also a good thing we had GPS available to find our way out again! TFTC Team Loesch. Number 1111 find for me - noteworthy occasion I reckon

5th one of our adventure today. We had a look at our map and decided a way to tackle getting to it. I regretted my quick dash out of my house instantly. I should have put on better shoes and my waterproof jacket as the ground and bush were still quite damp fro the rain this morning. A great little walk to GZ and had the cache in our hands quite quickly.

GizaGal called me to let me know there were new caches in Morwell. No kids wanted to come so I set off alone. I drove to a car-park and while I was getting myself sorted out kryslazz turned up. So we have a pleasant stroll in the reserve and found the 10 new caches including 9 FTFs. After we departed I then found JENGA#2 alone.
This is a lovely group of interesting caches, all the co-ords were spot on, and we found most caches quite quickly.
