Day two of my road trip. Today I'm heading from Geraldine to my destination in Palmerston. Finding a few caches along the way. This was the first cache for me this morning. An instant find as it was lying in the open. I signed the log and tucked it back where it had fallen from. TFTC, Biggles.
Found, was just lying on side of road. Took a bit of strength to open but i was determined this was the actual cache. Signed and placed back where it should be
Camped at Winchester Bridge so popping into Geraldine as one if my favourite towns. Quick start for the day.
Road trip from Rotorua North Island. Another South island cache found.
This one deserved a fav.

After finding a cache down the road a tad which we guessed would take while, surprisingly quick smart work and it was done ..

Nice little hide here. We are trying to leave Geraldine but there are so many caches! Thanks for the placement BCD
Found with Juju54, log very wet have replaced paper, unable to put both pieces in - TFTC
When our North Island trip was cancelled due to lockdown restrictions a new plan was hatched to head South instead. A very quick find here but sadly the log is full and we accidently took our maintenance stuff out of the car at our accomodation so we couldnt do it for you. Thanks for adding to our smilies today.
Geraldine is surprisingly large, when you realise how many houses are on the Downs, the true left of the river and all the way down the main street to here. Something was easily found because the glue had let go. One like this of Natalie247's gave me a very dreadfully long search once...
*Another good find going from cache to cache with woolwood9.*

The last for me - going to get home very late at this rate. Very obvious when you spot it. TFTC.
On a busy day we managed to find this one without attracting any attention!! We like these ones and it was a quick find for us. Thanks for putting this one here.
After clamouring in wrong place and thinking I would give up and there it was. Tftc
Pretty sneaky, but we had our eye in today and found in short order. Found with Flumsy2. Thanks for placing this.
We drove by lots of Postman Pats but the traffic and roadworks got in our way... finally stopped safely... my first cache that looks like this ... once again partner in crime made this a found it rather than a Dnf for me tftc... my education is progressing
Great weekend caching with Hinemoana. Drive by caching in the morning as we waited for the rain to stop. Thanks!
A crazy caching weekend with KiwiGS! We picked this area because on the map it looked like a lot of easy caches, although it was not quite the case. We still found many! Filling in time with a few drive by's waiting for the rain to ease. TFTC!!
Doing a few around town caches to fill in some time before lunch. A quick find here. Signed A&G due to size of log. tftc
We found this on our way to the seaside, discovered it needed serious attention so brought it home to sort out. It's now back in its place, good to go. TFTC
We found this one lying on the ground, not where it was obviously supposed to be, and as a consequence water had got in and the thread has seized. I’ve just brought it home, and with some tools have managed to open it, and then I’ve regreased the thread and put in a new fresh log as the old one was saturated. I hope no one is looking for this one at the moment as it’s not at GZ but in my holiday home and I’m about to come out on my bike to replace it in its proper position in working order. Done as a good deed by a British CO for a helpful CO in New Zealand!!
Done by a very helpful travelling Christmas elf....that is what caching is all about ....!!!!
The Log Book had turned to mush,so we've left a nice dry one..that'll do for now.TFTC
Found quickly but sadly it is really rusty and a bit damp inside. Log fragile and covered with rust too. Thanks for the hide!

Soon discovered and log signed, the log is in a poor state. Found with Geomum007. TFTC
A break in traffic allowed Busy paws and I to sign the log and replace. Nice hide. TFTC
#16732. Right, time to head back to Geraldine in search of a morning coffee. Quick find here. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 2 of our weekend trip to Geraldine. We headed out about 7:30pm to find a few caches in and around Geraldine before another bike ride along the Orari River.
There was a policewoman not far from GZ, not sure if it was to do with the road works but she didn't seem to be taking any notice of us. Sorry, managed to rip the log book as we unrolled it. It is in a very fragile state but did get our names on it. TFTC.

A quick easy find of a nicely hidden cache, fortunately just past the end of the roadworks. The log is quite damp and starting to disintegrate. TFTC
Extended family tenting for a couple nights at the nearby Farmyard. Popping out late afternoon for a couple things from the supermarket....detoured for a couple caches along the way. Not much traffic so a quick and easy find and sign. Cheers.
Found it but log is completely soggy and not able to be written on. Replaced log. Found with Conbat and Rileylowe11. TFTC
Well that one was nuts. Ice Diva had to replace the log as it was stuffed
Quick grab with Ice Diva and the nephews

We parked right beside GZ and grabbed the cache during a gap in the passing traffic.
Nice hide. TFTC.

I ventured out on my own today as yesterday was a day for housework.
That's a big sign.
Cheers for the cache.

Cheers for the cache.
As I made my way into town I stopped to see what Postman Pat had left me. It was lucky I had some tools with me in the cachemobile as the log took some extracting. It was a very wet and rusty log. The log was replaced with pristine new. Thanks for the cache Postman Pat.
7928. Second day of our three day recreational trip to Geraldine. Fine weather today after yesterday's rain. This was cache number two of twelve finds today. An easy find on a busy road. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Nice quick find but not so easy to extract, sign and replace the log with a big fat icecream in one hand. Managed it ok so all is good in the world. TFTC # 12,869
First stop on an afternoon caching expedition with BCD. Spotted this one as soon as I arrived at GZ but it was the 3rd time I had been there and thankfully this time the traffic was scarce. TFTC
JDScout and I decided to go Geraldine for the weekend and attend the event in the evening. We brought along our bikes so we could go cache cycling along the track.
