Great day to be out caching with 2pods and Goldberry17. Thanks for bringing us on this lovely bush walk.
#10275 (3 of 11 today - including 2 Adventure Labs)I was after some calendar finds today and had decided a few days ago that a trip north would be just the ticket. There are still a number of caches to snaffle around Kurri Kurri so thought to make that my target. And then the weather decided to have a say. But when I looked on the BOM Radar, Kurri Kurri was a few kilometres north of the rain band. I just need to get there. The rain as I approached the Mooney Mooney Bridge was horrific! And the traffic slowed as I went past a jackknifed semi - must have got there only a few minutes after it happened as there was no sign of any emergency vehicles. Finally I reached my target, and had pleasant weather for the whole of my caching day. Perfect.Well it would have been if not for a number of DNFs I racked up on a P&G powertrail.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Second disabled cache. Second cache in top condition with no sign of any fire issues.Decided to drive around rather than walk from *#1* in view of my main target being on the drive around.Another pleasant walk and another quick find in the logical spot.Completed signing duties and replaced.I think another drive to my next target rather than a walk. That hill climb was a doozie. Methinks Park & Grabs are the go from now.SLTNLNTFTC
im disabling this cache for the time being due to a harsh bush fire that has spread through the bush surrounding HEZ. please keep away from the area for the time being. i will either re enable the cache or archive once i am able to access the area and assess the situation.

TFTC. A quick find once we got on the correct track. We parked at the hospital and it said 1 km to it but we did more as we took the wrong track. Not to worry the exercise was good. Found out I’m more fit than my -5 year old grandson. A nice walk in a peaceful area.
Was a good little drive, didn’t get to walk as it was scorching hot and the little ones weren’t so into it. Other half went over it a couple times and didn’t have a very good look but got it eventually.
Nice drive here from Tomalpin. Amazing place the HEZ. All this development, then they find a frog i think. Stop work. We didnt walk, and this was a park and grab. TFTC.
Temporarily disabling this one due to COVID-19 to ensure all stay safe and follow the new restrictions that have been put in place. will be back up once restrictions have been lifted. Stay safe everyone

With a little bit of time off before work, I headed out to find a cache for the day, and this one was a nice drive out in this bush, followed by a short walk. There is certainly a lot of rubbish been dumped out here, which is really disappointing to see. Hopefully council can get out this way and provide a solid cleanup.

TFTC,
Now we feel comfortable and are enjoying the challenge. Buffer will have to perform a miracle on the paint work when we get home.
Came up here today with the idea of achieving more than we did. After a while, the numbers didn't matter and rain stopped us from doing some walking caches at a critcal time.
Great to have a chance to do a variety of caches placed by different cachers, thanks for providing and continuing to maintain your caches.

In Kurri for a weekend of Geocaching with Wazza9, after a 4WD in the bush a quick find, stamped the log and replaced. Thanks to beary_unicorns.
Found on a nice summer's day with Shaneo58 , with temperatures in the high 20s. Got pretty cloce with the car, then had to walk past a lot of rubish to get to GZ to make the find.. Log signed and caches replaced as found. Thanks For The Cache beary_unicorns

Found today while coming out here to do some caches on our Mountain Bikes, nice spot to come for a ride to get some caches, 7 to be exact. Cool little spot to have a cache, but just watch out because we saw a little snake in this area.

Find #2744
We came on mountain bikes today for the puzzles and trads in the bush here, after a couple of nudges at some recent events made me look at the puzzles again. Parking at the hospital we rode a loop in and out of the bush, probably pedalling out about 7km on a beautiful day that was really warming up a lot by the time we were done. Surprisingly didn't see any mosquitoes, maybe they could smell us (TeamDEET) coming??
No worries here, a quick find in the second spot checked. Now looking at the map we really rode in the long way! Doesn't matter, we wouldn't have seen the little snake if we'd gone the short way.... TFTC beary_unicorns.....

Found while out for a cycle around the tracks such a shame that the locals are using it as a tip. We really enjoyed exploring the mountain bike tracks and once past the rubbish tip things improved heaps.
Thanks for sharing this place with us we wouldn’t have known the tracks were here.

Out with Snakepiters to find this cache. Happily we were able to find gz and claim our prize. We are enjoying our time using Kurri Kurri sports club camp as our base. Thanks to beary_unicorns for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
out and about the greater maitland area, picking up a few of our solved caches and traditionals. Thanks all for bringing us here to the area. TFTC beary_unicorns

After setting up camp at the Kurri Kurri sports club we ventured out with pprass, Liz and Bruce, snakepiters & coongoola to find a few caches, we headed out in convoy.
We found a combination of puzzles & traditionals, finishing up on Sugarloaf Mountain for lunch.
This was close to another cache wehad done so wandered over to find it.

Found at 10:23 AM GAFF1 in the company of coongoola, DiMorgan, Liz and Bruce and Snakepiters..
After taking the group to do a couple of the more difficult caches, we found the this one was just 300 metres away, so we headed over to it in our 4wd vehicles and found it in no time. Once again we were amazed at how much rubbish has been dumped around the bush - what is it with the people around here?
Thanks beary_unicorns

Hi all, I'm temporarily disabling this so we can go out and check on it due to the recent fires
Hi all, I have just changed this cache from all members can view to premium membership only due to some recent cache smashing activity in the hunter valley. It will be changed back after cache smasher is inactive. We are urging all local CO's to do this as well.
Thanks
Thanks
Drove to within 40m of this one, and walked the rest of the way. It really stumped us at first - we found the location that matched the hint and at which the GPS said 0m, but we just couldn't find it. We looked all around, but we just couldn't see anything else that fit. Eventually we returned to the spot and there it was! How did we not see that before? TFTC!
Took the littlest geokid for a drive this morning.
This was our third stop. We parked in a familiar spot and walked half a km each way to GZ. A quick find in the most cachelike spot and off we went to the next one.
Great to see someone new placing a cache though. Well done. TNLN TFTC

Headed out today to grab a few caches and this one was the closest we hadn't found. Nice day for a stroll. TFTC
Remote location. Nice walk to the sounds of ppl test running their cars and motorbikes in the bush TFTCSL TNLN
This is a cheeky find for me, my daughters hid this cache, and I sort of helped them
Found with kingfisher_au , decided to head out this way even though we knew chippyroo would have already the first find. Thanks the bringing us to this area again and thanks for the cache , great to see some new cachers becoming cache owners.
I new from the outset of this notification that i was in trouble , as was in Newcastle but heading home via Kurri and the second challenge was a certain person that could skip across and pick it up, our hunch was right so second to find, Nice start to your Caching hides, keep up the good work, TFTC

The notifications came through as Mr C got out of the shower and Mrs C arrived home from work. As we live nearby and know the area pretty well, we jumped into the Geolux and headed off-road. We soon had the CIH and an FTF gig was danced before heading off to the other one. TFTC
