While passing through Kilcoy today we had some spare time so we went about and found a few puzzles and letterboxes that we had solved in this artwork.I had to send a few emails to the CO to get some help before I finally managed to solve this one. Glad to have it completed now after working on it for so long.Finding the container was a lot easier.TFTC
We did a lot of research and puzzling in the run-up to our cacher tour around Kilcoy. We spent many hours solving them at home on this Geoart. We finally travelled to Kilcoy and looked for lots of roses in the beautiful countryside.Thank you for the beautiful Geoart and greetings from Team sissifalke
Today is day 2 up here in Kilcoy to do the Rose GeoArt. Everybody I know has done this GeoArt, when I was still working. Now that I have been retired for some years , I knew it was about time to do it. Started late morning and after many hours completed the remaining caches I did not do on Day 1. TFTC JACS Team
It has taken nearly 4 years to complete this series. Today was the day.TFTCache JACS Team
There was talk at a recent event about cachers heading up to Kilcoy to knock off the Rose GeoArt and that burst of energy gave us the motivation to head back out and knock off the remaining ones we didnt grab on our previous visit, you never know if itll mysteriously disappear in the coming months/years so we wanted to finish it off just in case. Our coords had us elsewhere at first but after looking up the road slightly we spotted where we thought the cache could be and sure enough, there she was. Its looking very busy here now so hopefully this cache doesnt go walkabouts. Thanks for bringing us here.#4335 - TFTC
Out with TBU1BIKESU and muggle brother to get more smiles. We found the container and signed the log.Tftc JACS Team
We didn't remember if we had taken off the offset, so we contacted CO for a check, and got the information we needed.Thank you JACS Team! A fav point from me!Gee, this area is going to be a huge new suburb of Kilcoy! We found the container and signed the log. Tftc JACS Team
I was driving from north Brisbane to Nanango to visit family and made a plan of 10 caches on the way up and 10 on the way back. Enough to keep me satisfied, but not too many to keep the kids whinging. My plan didn't go too well. On the way up, rain, too many dnfs slowing us down and a new puppy that apparently gets carsick. On the way back...lets just say a little turmoil had my car on for 3 hours, charging his precious phone. Flat battery. A delayed wait for RACQ and the inability to turn the car off on the way home to give it a good charge, resulted in no caching on the way home. So 5/20 that day. Yay. The bud is finally completed. This one was unavailable when I was last hunting - probably 2 years ago! Needed to lift a turmoil up to reach this up. Considering how hard this is now that the kids are no longer little and light, I am voting for a terrain 5 upgrade. We go there in the end. Definitely not a subtle event though.
3rd time lucky for myself and TreasureTrakas to complete this 65 roses Geoart. Beautiful area Kilcoy and we enjoyed getting into all the backroads that weve not been to before. Even though it was hot today our dogged persistance kept us at it. Thank you JACS Team for the huge effort in placing it. Unfortunately 1 DNF stands in our way of completion at the end of the day.
My caching buddy Susan DW was back in town for a short visit so a quick plan was made to find the rest of the Kilcoy Roses. Despite the heatwave conditions we managed to keep our cool and found all but one of the caches we looked for today. Thanks to JACS team and to any other teams who are helping with the maintenance of this great series. And a big thanks to JACS team for the extra help they gave us today.
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I intend to head home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays that way for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there.I took the opportunity to re-visit the 65 Roses series as I had quite a few DNFs when I was here about 18 months ago due to caches missing after flooding in the area. All good today though. Thanks JACS Team for the puzzle and the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Found on a trip through Broken Hill, Tilpa, Bourke, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine to attend the QOGM at Longreach, then to Emerald, Biloela, Monto, Gayndah and Kilcoy on my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache, and for the entertaining caching foray around Kilcoy JACS Team!
This puzzle was only recently worked through in preparation for a visit like today, although it was a last-minute trip. I had known a few of these names, but as I wasn't a GOT fan, research was needed in order to obtain the correct numbers.
After parking the vehicle and searching across the road at GZ, I was able to make a quick find despite it being evil-sized. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. An interesting new estate area with roads not yet even in one of my app's maps yet. Surprised that this central cache hasn't had a visit for 11 months; Thanks JACS Team for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
----------
During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).
Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

After completing this series today. Just want to say a huge “THANK YOU” to JACS Team for this series. We do appreciate the time and effort not only setting up such a series, but also the ongoing maintenance. We’ve enjoyed the various types of puzzles and caches, managed to do some minor maintenance, left a few favourite points and did a little climbing in the rain. The series kept us in town for an extra night which is just another small benefit to the local economy.
Smelling the 65 Roses series.

Stopping in Kilcoy for a few days. Today was our first full day attack on '65 Roses'. Having previously contacted the CO we have refreshed all caches when we found them. Any with identified issues we have completed maintenance for the CO. This cache is in good order.

I attempted this cache while heading back home to Adelaide after attending the Mega event at Townsville over Easter.
I ended up camping at Kilcoy for a couple of nights, attempting a few of the series late yesterday afternoon and most of the others today. Unfortunately the weather was not great with consistent, almost constant, light rain throughout the nights and days, but it wasn’t cold so not so bad for caching really.
I quite enjoyed solving the puzzles in this series in preparation for the trip but the caches weren’t so great. Many were missing, probably as a result of the recent flooding, and most are in need of maintenance. The coordinates and hints for a few were also a bit off, possibly due to cache creep.
This was unfortunately one of the DNFs. However, I subsequently read in one of the logs that the CO previously confirmed that the cache was no longer there back in October last year. However that didn’t stop alphag_25 logging a find on it in January this year, LOL.
Thanks anyway JACS Team for the puzzle. Another one for next time if I manage to get back again.

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.

With an unusual public holiday announced, a plan was hatched to return to Kilcoy with the goal of finishing the 65 Roses Geoart… we’d last been here in January… so with PirateLinda, Giraffe18, 2manytrailers, Catboy67 and Blkthunder we left home at stupid o’clock this morning in convoy arriving in Kilcoy at 8am… With six of us the caches didn’t stand a chance… logs signed in full or some combination of P, PL, G18, 2MT, CB67 & BT…
I needed a slight nudge on this puzzle… I was overworking it…
At GZ I was a little confused… we searched the one available feature, even though it was a little far from where Geepers wanted us…
Sent off a message to the CO as this is now our third DNF of the morning…
CO has since confirmed that the cache and what it was attached to is no longer there…. Urban development indeed…

Oh my this puzzle took some puzzling.
Having read the books an eon ago i knew what's what from the got go?
Thanks so much for the cryptic help along the way with this and many others my befuddled brain saturated itself with.
This was the second cache i found today after pedalling up then flying down the many hills of kilcoy.
I'm glad it was a sunday and quiet, as i bet this area sees some action midweek. Finding this cache'll be fun for geople in a few years time.
Thanks JACS Team for the variety in creative cache containers i found today.

I had been going stir crazy locked in the house so intended to take a ride on the BVRT. It was raining near Esk my intended start so I just did a driving loop including a few Roses in Kilcoy.
( PS Late log is due to a review showing i had a few unlogged caches in 2021)

My husband wanted to go to Kilcoy races today and i said thats great because i had only 3 caches to find to complete this fantastic geo art. My geo work friend and i spent a few lunch breaks before we finally solved this puzzle and today at gz i saw a place where i thought the hide might be and bingo, there is was. such a nice area here. thankyou for all the fun.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
Decided to pack up and head north a day earlier as we were no longer dry in our tent. Teamed up with Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing as FAMS) to do the 65 Roses Geo-art and any others in-between before parting ways and caching our way to Maryborough where we will be based for three nights.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !

24,368. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33 and Smittengranny to form and sign as FAMS !
Day 7. Enough was enough. We decided that we had had enough of the rain at Dayboro, so we upped stumps a day early and started our journey up to Maryborough via The Roses Geo-Art and a couple more counties. Smittengranny and albida joined us for the Geo-Art. So after packing up the sodden campsite we headed north to Kilcoy after a final trip to the Dayboro Bakery. This was the next stop for the day. This was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as FAMS, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Plans slightly changed. Travelling with Albida MinnieK and Fitzy after leaving the Dayboro Mega event. We collected a few trads on the way to doing the Roses. Thanks to all the COs for their work in this area. Despite the rain we had a great day superseding my expectations .
Headed to Kilcoy for some flowers with BenM70 and Burgo78 on this wet day.
The area here will look fantastic when the sun comes out over all the green pastures, but today it was really a day to sit in front of a fire. Instead of a fire, I kept the car heater on a bit to keep us warm.
Signing the logs as BBK today to save space.
Thank you JACS for this cache!

#10916 - 10:53:00 AM; Day seven of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. After a second night in Esk, we packed up and headed off on our final leg to the Mega. High on the agenda for today was awaiting advice on the Brisbane lockdown and whether or not the Mega would actually go ahead, or whether we would be turning around and heading home early. While we waited, we set out to log the "65 Roses" geoart series in and around Kilcoy. The good news on the lockdown came between our fourth and fifth finds in the series, so we knew we had time to try and complete it before we headed to Dayboro. All up we had 60 finds and four DNFs for the series. Most of the finds were fairly straight forward, while some required a little more effort, reference to hints and/or earlier logs and/or the exercise of the geosenses. Enjoyed the variety of the puzzles and the hides. One left for the return journey to complete the series. Apologies for the generic logs.TFTC JACS Team
Day 7 of the trip north with LuckyL10n and today saw us leaving Esk and heading to Dayboro....and finally the cacheQLD Mega. Luckily the event has now got the go ahead and all is good....
Our plan for the day was this series and we simply took our time and got around the caches without to many issues. 4 DNF's in there, but that still meant over 60 finds.
Thanks for the caches and the reason to check out the area JACs Team....

Glad we still headed to Qld as the Mega is a go. YAY. Our next problem is that we can't go into a red zone as we don't have the time to quarantine when we go home. Thanks for the cache.
Unfortunately plan A wasn’t able to happen today so that meant I needed a plan B. Having just had some help finishing the puzzles for this geoart, I took the opportunity to turn some of them into smileys. It was a great day driving around Kilcoy making the finds, I didn’t get them all but made a very good dent.
This was a good puzzle, got a hint on what to do but took a few time before I finally got the green light. Tftc JACS Team

Lake Somerset Trip - Day 6
After a delayed start to the day (after 2 big days on the lake), our aim was to cherry pick a number of the 65 roses powertrail. Managed to avoid the drizzle for most of the afternoon. Trying to get my letterbox count up to 100 and this little group of 8 will definitely help.

An interesting puzzle that drew its information from an interesting television series. Required some research before a set of coordinates were obtained. Some nice, newer houses in this area. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide.
Day two in Kilcoy. We're here to smell the roses, and so far the caches we found are well placed - and they are a joy to find. Some long grass treks but an enjoyable morning caching before the forecast showers arrived.

With solved coordinates loaded up we headed to Kilcoy to pick up more smileys in the Roses series. It was a hot day so we were pleased to be in the aircon in the car for a lot of the day. This is a cache we found in this area with lovely new homes. We signed the log and replaced it as found. Thanks JACS Team for the variety of puzzles and the caches.
Tftc JACS Team, great series, loved the variety of puzzles and difficulty. Puzzles solved now, with some needing a call to the brains trust for help. In the area for a few days to collect the smilies.
I had quite a tour of the housing estate as I figured out how to approach GZ. TF this series, JACS Team.
Out today on a mission with OBC and mini-OBC. Swung by here for the next of over 120 finds today. We enjoyed the Roses immensely, being decent puzzles and good hides with parking spots (mostly) and accurate coords.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.

With an email to say the CO was in town doing some maintenance on the series of caches, it gave me a renewed enthusiasm for this series. It was extremely hot out here today but I had a goal and off I went. Willis007 came along for the drive and just did the caches she had solved, for me I had still three left to get (next time).
With log signed and cache replaced as found I was onto the next one. Thanks for this series I enjoyed it.

I had recently started working on the 65 Roses puzzles and was in the area this weekend collecting the Dark Side caches. However, this did give me an opportunity to start collecting some of the Rose series puzzles I had already solved.

A quick find here today. Log signed, cache replaced as found - all is well with the cache.
Thanks JACS Team for a fantastic puzzle series, and for placing the cache here. A fav from me.

Most of the caches are in good condition although some of the field puzzles were broken and some of the caches were missing bits and pieces of there containers.
Overall a good series and a bit of fun.
On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with my two younger brothers (JL Rockstar) for a holiday/caching trip, a 4 day adventure that started with some disasters but slowly got better throughout which ended on a high.
Travelling up to tin can bay and Gympie, our to Kilroy and south west out to Ipswich.
Overall a great trip away with a total of 79 finds excluding the almost 50 labs found.
Thanks for the cache and it’s placement.

Swearah was onto this puzzle right from the beginning. I'm sure she asked me to help at some point but of course, I had nothing to add as usual! Lucky she has more perseverance than me! A nice easy find at GZ. TFTPC!
I loved GoT (except for the finale, but I'm probably not alone there), so I thought I'd nail this puzzle quickly. Not so! I was on the right track to start with but there was one I needed to play with (figuratively) to get it right. I'm sure there's a long line waiting to do that literally, but I digress... Krcamber made a quick find at GZ. Thanks for another great puzzle and cache
Early start to the series this morning. Quickly grabbed the Trads before collecting the fruits of our efforts the past few months! Thanks for all the help and being the navigator Simba15

An early but foggy start today heading to Kilcoy, collected various caches & coords spot on which was so nice thanks Jacs Team SL TFTC
After battling with [B)] and finally solving the last few puzzles, today was the perfect day to head back to the hillsides around Kilcoy and pick up the last few Roses . Coords are all spot on and most were found quickly, though we did leave a couple of blue sad faces behind. A fun day was had and many thanks to JACS Team for an excellent series of puzzles, caches, hides and adventures. TNLNSL TFTC .
Today we tackled this series, with an early start we worked our way around the country side finding the solved puzzles.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks JACS Team for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

While camping with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and find a few caches ...

TFTC. Teamed up with snakepiters to both solve and find these caches. Great bunch of puzzles to solve and get some new skills up. Have loved reading the story behind these caches.
Now only a day away from home and stopped by here to complete the Roses Geoart. Staying at the Showgrounds and dodging the rain clouds today. Teamed up with Cheekybum_15 to do the Kilcoy caches.

Decided this morning that Roses were on the plan. So of to Kilcoy I go. To do more of the rose. Done one so far. TFTC JACS Team #964 D10
We had a reasonable idea of what this puzzle was about, but could not seem to get started. A nudge from the CO got us going and so we were able to eventually get some numbers out. This is the final of the 65 roses for us to find, other than one DNF.
We loved working our way through all the puzzles, mostly done late at night and have enjoyed getting to know Kilcoy area a little better. At the moment things look very green here and the colours are soft and very beautiful.
Thanks JACS Team for all the effort you have put into the artwork of this series, all the efforts that have gone into the puzzles and the great hides that we have found along the way.
A Favourite added here!

Purrfect weather to get out and pick a lovely bunch of yellow I solved these before Christmas and have been cutting a few stems in the trip back from Cooyar to Brissy, occasionally. Today it was time to pull together the entire bouquet

I feel weird logging number one after doing about half the series first.

A day out with the Bromance saw a lot of laughs, plenty of caches including the Rose Geo Art, a lot of rubbish picked up along the way and heaps of fun. Sorry it has taken so long to log these, they were found way back in March! No excuse for not logging really - just a bit lazy I guess. Great fun, cheers.
Crookedpete was the inspiration behind our trip to Kilcoy today. With his cache count odometer slowly ticking its way towards 5000, he was keen for a sugar hit to his finds tally. I have been eyeing off this series of caches on and off for a while now, and CP's need was the impetus to get us out here. Before we could though we had to set about solving some puzzles. I had a few solutions already stored away but a mad bout of puzzle solving was required in the week before departure. I managed to solve all but a few, with the others in the Bromanceketeers filling the gaps.
An enjoyable day was had by all and our tally of caches was equalled by our haul of recyclable containers which we picked up along the roadside at each cache. We signed the logbbook with "Bromance" to save space not to mention time and our sanity. Thank you for your efforts in laying this trail of caches.

With plans being tentatively formulated for my next milestone, I needed to get a few numbers under the belt (lest the entire year slips away before I get to said milestone.)
Despite all of the Bromance (Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and myself) having lost our power trail mojo, Seffnjarah suggested the Kilcoy rose series for a morning Bromance road trip. With a hot day forecast, we hit the road early at SeffnStupid o'clock and had the first cache completed just as the sun peaked over the horizon. The last for the day was signed before noon.
The series had a good variety of clever hides - difference styles of micros were found on both the left and right hand side of various road signs, the occasional ammo can made an appearance, we managed a few simple tree climbs and the best of all - we managed to collect three rarer large size caches today! Hooray!
Along the way, we all collectively did our part for the environment and CITO'd a good size bin full of cans, plastic and glass bottles from almost every cache we visited. The tally for the day was 65 containers recycled (one for every rose!). With thanks to the cash for cans scheme, the Bromance slush fund balance now sits at $6.50, which should buy about 4 litres of diesel. Doesn't sound too impressive, but we were collectively proud of our efforts.
Another quick find in a typical location for this series. Logs were mostly signed "Bromance" to save space. Many thanks JACS Team for placing this cache.

**Generic Log,So my amazing Geo-Wife KaleidoscopeCass and I hadnt planned in completing the rose, but we wanted to get a few on our way home, we left Toowoomba at 5am as we had lunch with my parents planned in Maroochydore, so... if we got up early we could nab a few finds in the morning, then have lunch and head back home. it ended up as finding 20 odd finds, heading to Maroochydore for lunch, returning to Kilcoy by 3:30 and finding the last 30 or so of the rose, what a massive day and our highest finds for the day, great series and we had alot of fun completing it! our very first geo-art series.. Thanks JACS Team and all those who put a hand in with setting up this series!!. - Logs Signed WallabyTim and KaleidoscopeCass, WT + KC or WTim, KalCass depending on log type and size

Boxing Day and the 28th of Dec were our days to complete and finalize this beautiful series. A day of inspiring music and drinks at Woodford in between sweetened this geoart. Thanks for all the efforts and great variety of puzzles and cache locations / types. We are very familiar with all the roads around the township now as we drove most of them twice and the farmers started greeting us when they saw our little blue car.
This puzzle took some time and thankfully the CO pointed me in the right direction.

Found at 10:28 AM GAFF1.
Our GPSr indicated that we had to go for a huge walk into the bush - no roads marked on our map. However when we arrived, we were elated to find that we could drive right up to GZ
Thanks JACS Team.

We have enjoyed our time here immensely and are very grateful for all the hard work put into this geoart. Thankyou very much JACS Team for the fun series and also the great pathtag,
hopefully we will get to catch up at the Parkville Mega [^]

Found by Mary & David at 1426. Have always thought 65 roses was the most wonderful tribute for CF. Our thanks to JACS Team.
Took a wrong turn to begin with but rethought our approach and was able to take the road right to GZ. Tftc
Caching as Team DrB today (DiamonJs, Rusty85 and bobbiesgirl), the target is to get all these roses. They are a fabulous series, I loved most (?) of the puzzles and all the finds. I am sure so much time went into creating it and I appreciate it. TFTC and sorry about the copy and paste logs from here on.
Had solved these puzzles quite some time ago and when DiamonJs and rusty85 invited me along to do the series I jumped at the opportunity. Thoroughly enjoyed the variety of puzzles, the interesting containers and the whole caching journey. The copy and paste nature of my logs in no way detracts from my enjoyment and appreciation of the whole effort involved in putting out a series such as this. A big thank you JACS Team. Logs signed Team DRB to save time and space.
Our day out at Kilcoy has been awesome, our highlights include:
1. Pulling to the side of the road to find a cache and in the old junk yard we see a letterbox that we can make good use of so we all wandered in and asked how much this bit of treasure would be, $5, sold! Now the guys had some entertainment, they must of looked at us like we were a bunch of tools the amount of photos we took with this letterbox out on the front.
2. Not sure if this qualifies as a highlight but it was definitely an event, pulling over to one of the caches there were a couple of muggles, hmmm how do we do this. Mr Woodyrothwell kindly let them know why the girls were heading into the long grass, in the meantime all that could be heard was ‘SNAKE!’ Right on the geo-trail a giant snake, being the good friend Mrs 4ando is she turned around screaming and nearly knocked down Mrs Woodyrothwell in her haste to get the hell out of there. The boys grabbed the hiking poles and ventured in to sign the log.
3. Of course all the bits of old rusted treasure we found along the way to take some good phlogs.
4. A great day with friends backed up with parmies and drinks afterwards.
5. No DNFs on the Rose.
Thanks for the series, leaving another FP on the final.
