We did a lot of research and puzzling in the run-up to our cacher tour around Kilcoy. We spent many hours solving them at home on this Geoart. We finally travelled to Kilcoy and looked for lots of roses in the beautiful countryside.Thank you for the beautiful Geoart and greetings from Team sissifalke
Today is day 1 up here in Kilcoy to do the Rose GeoArt. Everybody I know has done this GeoArt, when I was still working. Now that I have been retired for some years , I knew it was about time to do it. Started late morning and after 4 hours completed 27 caches. TFTC JACS Team
It has taken nearly 4 years to complete this series. Today was the day.TFTCache JACS Team
We enjoyed the walk to this hide. Signed farly new log, and replaced as found Tftc.
Out with TBU1BIKESU and muggle brother Siggi to get more smiles. We found the container and signed the log.Tftc JACS Team
We found the lid of the container only - without a logsheet - , contacted CO and got permit to replace it by a new container with new log sheet.Tftc JACS Team
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I intend to head home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays that way for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there.I took the opportunity to re-visit the 65 Roses series as I had quite a few DNFs when I was here about 18 months ago due to caches missing after flooding in the area. All good today though. Thanks JACS Team for the puzzle and the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Found on a trip through Broken Hill, Tilpa, Bourke, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine to attend the QOGM at Longreach, then to Emerald, Biloela, Monto, Gayndah and Kilcoy on my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache, and for the entertaining caching foray around Kilcoy JACS Team!
Out geocaching w Treasure Trakas and enjoying the lovely weather and gorgeous scenery. Apologies for the generic log however with the better part of the 65 Roses to find and log, cut and paste has beome a necessity. Thank you JACS Team for the effort in putting this series together. So many great caches and some deserve Fav points, unfortunately in the field my technology abandoned me so I will give this one the fav even though it was guarded by wasps. Beware cachers, approach gently.
Out for a day of caching with SusanDW. We had a great day, finding all the caches that we looked for. A day with no DNFs is always a great day. Thanks to the CO for this fantastic series.
Can’t remember how I solved this one, Today we parked and walked the path to the Gz, as soon as I arrived the cache was spied,

This puzzle was only recently worked through in preparation for a visit like today, although it was a last-minute trip. I was able to solve this puzzle without too much difficulty, although it had a couple of steps that I thought would have bumped the difficulty up slightly.
After parking the vehicle, I took a walk (aka jog) along the nearby path to GZ. An interesting structure/location, and it wasn't long before I spotted the cache. Note that the cache is at breast height rather than at the height of your shoes (as per hint). The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks JACS Team for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).
Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

Aaaaand we’re back, this time with three kids in tow which aren’t overly keen about caching, but eeeh we dragged them along with us anyways to get them out the house.
With yesterdays deluge we thought the weather would be iffy but that wasn’t the case whatsoever. It’s was a perfect day, blue skies and far as the eye could see and not a single cloud in the sky. Perfection!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here exploring Kilcoy and the surrounding area. We’ll be back another time to clean up any DNFs, awkward caches to retrieve or ones we simply missed.
Thank you for placing, maintaining and for keeping this cache alive.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Stopping in Kilcoy for a few days. Having previously contacted the CO of 65 Roses, today we headed out to replace a couple of nearby caches that seem to have been swept away in the floods, certainly plenty of evidence of how high the water got through this area. Cache has been replaced today. Owner maintenance log to follow.

A replacement cache has been installed thanks to the efforts FelixII! So it is good to go again. Slightly relocated due to recent changes, but hint still relevant.
I looked for this cache as I made my way home to Adelaide after attending the Mega event at Townsville. After camping (in the rain) near Maryborough i had an easy day travelling about, checking out the sights and picking up a few caches of interest along the way.
I decided to camp near Kilcoy tonight and attempted a few of this series late this afternoon. The strike rate was not good, with another DNF at this one. It appears that the lower parts of the structure at GZ has been very recently re-painted - if that’s where it was, then it might have been removed. Then again, I might of just missed it!
Thanks anyway JACS Team for the puzzle!

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
29/1/22 After staying at Somerset Camping ground for a few days and doing the Darkside of the cache series now heading back home direction. Grabbing the 65 Rose series while here and then back up the highway. TFTC SL Caching with Caitlyn1105
These caches were actually found quite a while ago, however, I was tagging along with Willis007 (not even aware that this geoart existed!). I love geoart so it didn't seem fair to rob myself (and the co) of not solving the puzzles that go with it. So, with permission, I am logging as I solve.
Now, stuck in isolation and struggling through day 12 of the dreaded Covid-19 virus, I have plenty of time to work through these puzzles (and harrass a friend for subtle or nuclear hints - thanks Peppa!)
I sorted the language, but then needed to help to work out what to do with that.

After spending some time last week working out the last of the puzzles, in some cases with a little guidance, we decided it was time to come and finish off the Roses today.
The weather was not exactly being kind, with Kilcoy Creek flooding and closing the highway in the morning but we weren’t going to let a little water stop us.
The recent rains have also encouraged abundant growth along the roadsides which saw us needing to push our way through knee-high to head-high grass to access many of the hides.
By the end of the day we were pretty much saturated from the thighs down but at least the dreary day seemed to keep both the muggles and creepy crawlies somewhat at bay.
Almost left without finding this one as we had each checked different areas and came up empty-handed. We decided it may be a good idea to check each other’s areas before we headed off and lo and behold there it was in the very first spot that one of us already checked! TFTC JACS Team

This was the last cache i found on my epic sunday jaunt around the kilcoy countryside on the tredley.
Being on the way back to my camp, i decided one more search was in order and somehow magically came across the little blighter. Tiny wee thing it is.
The puzzle had me quite confused until with a nudge in the right direction it made more sense.
So happy to turn this blue frown upside down.
Thanks JACS Team for the mystery geocache.

After setting up camp in the showgrounds nearby i decided to walk into town to check out kilcoy.
This was the first cache i came across, and resisted all attempts at finding.
Perhaps on the walk back home.
Or the coming days.
Thanks anyway!

After spending the morning on the Sunshine Coast I headed home via Kilcoy to pick some roses that I had left earlier in the year. It was a beautiful winters day to be out in the region. Tftc JACS Team
I had been going stir crazy locked in the house so intended to take a ride on the BVRT. It was raining near Esk my intended start so I just did a driving loop including a few Roses in Kilcoy.
( PS Late log is due to a review showing I had a few unlogged caches in 2021)

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
Decided to pack up and head north a day earlier as we were no longer dry in our tent. Teamed up with Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing as FAMS) to do the 65 Roses Geo-art and any others in-between before parting ways and caching our way to Maryborough where we will be based for three nights.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !

24,350. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33 and Smittengranny to form and sign as FAMS !
Day 7. Enough was enough. We decided that we had had enough of the rain at Dayboro, so we upped stumps a day early and started our journey up to Maryborough via The Roses Geo-Art and a couple more counties. Smittengranny and albida joined us for the Geo-Art. So after packing up the sodden campsite we headed north to Kilcoy after a final trip to the Dayboro Bakery. This was the next stop for the day. This was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as FAMS, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Plans slightly changed. Travelling with Albida MinnieK and Fitzy after leaving the Dayboro Mega event. We collected a few trads on the way to doing the Roses. Thanks to all the COs for their work in this area. Despite the rain we had a great day superseding my expectations .
Left the Mega and headed to Kilcoy for some flowers with BenM70 and Burgo78 on this wet day.
The area here will look fantastic when the sun comes out over all the green pastures, but today it was really a day to sit in front of a fire. Instead of a fire, I kept the car heater on a bit to keep us warm.
Signing the logs as BBK today to save space.
Thank you JACS for this cache!

On the way to nanango for a couple of days and making sure I get back for the MEGA at dayboro on Sunday. Picking up smileys on the way and now I am so close to finishing off this great series . I loved this puzzle, very clever. My geo work friend and I solved it one lunch break. Once at gz we looked one way then the other before we spotted this sneaky cache. Thankyou for all the fun
Day 7 of the trip north with LuckyL10n and today saw us leaving Esk and heading to Dayboro....and finally the cacheQLD Mega. Luckily the event has now got the go ahead and all is good....
Our plan for the day was this series and we simply took our time and got around the caches without to many issues. 4 DNF's in there, but that still meant over 60 finds.
Thanks for the caches and the reason to check out the area JACs Team....

#10897 - 8:13:00 AM; Day six of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. After overnighting in Esk, we headed out to finish off the Coat of Arms series after completing a section between the Gatton-Esk Road and Esk yesterday afternoon. Finished off the Coat of Arms series and headed north to Toogoolawah to take on the Map of Australia series. Managed to complete the series, except for one cache, over a couple of hours along a section of the trail which we found in much better condition than some of the sections to the south! Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC JACS Team
The rest of the gang were out on the lake so we decided that we would go and attempt to do this series. It was high on our to do list but with Covid, we weren't sure we would even get up here and we are still waiting to find out if we can attend the Mega at Dayboro.
Our first cache in the series was a DNF so we were pleased to make a fairly quick find here but GT37 had dropped her phone the day before and had been having problems with it.
She attempted to mark this one as found and lost all off line lists as well as all solved coords and her phone wasn't showing her all the caches that my GPS was.
I am really hoping that things get better from here.
Thanks for the cache and on to the next.

We liked this puzzle and were keen to find the cache on today's short visit to Kilcoy. A bend and snap and it was found. TFTC JACS Team.
Our walk continued, although we were passed by a fellow and his granddaughter who could have turned the find into a DIDO using their ride-on mower. Thanks for the hide.

Out for a day of caching with oz_bean_counter covering from Nambour to Mapleton to Booloumba to Jimna and Kilcoy. And as the day winds up we are back in Kilcoy to avenge the two DNFs we suffered from an early Roses trip here. Absolutely no issues whatsoever finding this one today - exactly where you'd expect it to be.
Thanks JACS Team for entertaining me at this location.

A lovely day out in Mapleton, Kenilworth and Bouloumba. Targetting ALs, whereigos, challenges and old caches. And solve puzzles. Ha! We basically targetted them all. Completed a geoart, two labs, two whereigos and a whole lot of 4wd'ing.
It was hot as hades and about as humid as a cheap tent after a summer storm. Yikes. But was a good day overall and I enjoyed each and every cache.
Coming back here to avenge a DNF. It was there the whole time! aaarrghh so frustrating. Pprime put his hand right on it.

Day three in Kilcoy. We're here to smell the roses, and so far the caches we found are well placed - and they are a joy to find. Some long grass treks but an enjoyable morning caching before the forecast showers arrived.

Racing was on today and it’s a hot hot day! We searched long and hard with no luck. Maybe another day.
With solved coordinates loaded up we headed to Kilcoy to pick up more smileys in the Roses series. It was a hot day so we were pleased to be in the aircon in the car for a lot of the day. This is a cache we found. It was a hot walk down to GZ so sat for a minute in the shade and had a feel around. We signed the log and replaced it as found. Thanks JACS Team for the variety of puzzles and the caches.
Great find by Blkthunder. Out with PirateLinda and Peppa and blkthunder. Lovely cool day and the flies definitely like the back of my jacket
Found with Peppa Blkthunder and Giraffe 18. Peppa has done the solving now we all get to do the finding OMG - I looked and FELT there!!! Clearly not well enough. Blkthunder felt again and came up with the goods. Right I may be off the team. Fantastic series.
It was Blkthunder who came up with the cache here... I’d done the legwork on this cache in preparation for our trip today... tftc... but it’s about the flies...
Tftc JACS Team, great series, loved the variety of puzzles and difficulty. Puzzles solved now, with some needing a call to the brains trust for help. In the area for a few days to collect the smilies.

I had recently started working on the 65 Roses puzzles and was in the area this weekend collecting the Dark Side caches. However, this did give me an opportunity to start collecting some of the Rose series puzzles I had already solved.
I was a little stumped with this one when I first looked at it, so I put it aside. A bit more research gave me a good idea, which panned out to be a great idea!
A quick find here this morning. Log signed, cache replaced as found.

Up early, keen to get stuck into the darkside series only to find out the boat is available from 8am, hmm. So a quick drive into town again to grab a few caches to save a little time tomorrow. A drive around and I grabbed a couple of trads and a few more of the Rose’s series. Bumped into Willis007 on my travels so she came a long too.
In all I got 4 more of the series, all good with these caches and with the log signed and cache returned as found it was onto the next one before heading back to jump on the “Slow Boat” around the dam.

Solved this puzzle one Friday evening accompanied by a glass of red and texted the result to krcamber. The next morning she text me with a theory to solve it. I had a giggle and said yes, you're onto it, but I did it already! She said she must have missed my text because I sent it "late last night". You can tell we're getting old, because I'd sent it at 7:30pm (sooooooo late )

Oh this puzzle. I thought I was onto it, coming up with a great starting place. Messaged Swearah and with many facepalms, she told me that she had already sent the solution to me the night before. What the?? Oh, here it is…..duh!

After doing some of the new Star Wars geoart, I decided to go for a paddle on Lake Somerset . Asked Miss Direction if she would go, but unfortunately she was busy.
So this morning off I went to Lake Somerset, Picked up 5 caches, first one was a FTF and my 1900th find.
Then off to the next headland. As I was paddling over I could see someone running around, was wondering who it was. When I landed, went of to the first cache to sign the log. Headed to the next cache, I saw that person again and it turned out to be Que Sera . Grab a few more caches with Que Sera and she told me that Mrs Slow Puncture was out here too.
We met up with Mrs Slow Puncture, they heading of to do the caches that I had done. I finished the ones on this headland and met up with Mrs Slow Puncture and Que Sera and paddled back to the boat ramp. There was so many Boats and Jet Ski’s out today.
Loaded the Kayak and headed of to Kilcoy to grab the last caches in geoart Rose. Had 9 to grab there, now all finished, yippee.
Sorry for the generic post.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC Jacs Team , **304** streak, #1927 Finds.

An early but foggy start today heading to Kilcoy, collected various caches & coords spot on which was so nice thanks Jacs Team SL TFTC
After battling with [B)] and finally solving the last few puzzles, today was the perfect day to head back to the hillsides around Kilcoy and pick up the last few Roses . Coords are all spot on and most were found quickly, though we did leave a couple of blue sad faces behind. A fun day was had and many thanks to JACS Team for an excellent series of puzzles, caches, hides and adventures. TNLNSL TFTC .
Today we tackled this series, with an early start we worked our way around the country side finding the solved puzzles.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks JACS Team for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

TFTC. Teamed up with snakepiters to both solve and find these caches. Great bunch of puzzles to solve and get some new skills up. Have loved reading the story behind these caches.
Now only a day away from home and stopped by here to complete the Roses Geoart. Staying at the Showgrounds and dodging the rain clouds today. Teamed up with Cheekybum_15 to do the Kilcoy caches.

Found by Mary and David at 1330. The sounds of the Show were loud and clear as we walked to this cache. Wood chopping, horses for all ages, and the sounds of the amusement arcades. A couple of "One Nation" vans arrived at the Showground entrance. We're not in Victoria any more, Toto! Apart from #6, we have picked a bunch of 64 Roses now. A wonderful tribute to your boys. A great series of puzzles and challenges. Our thanks to JACS Team.
Our third and final day in the area. This series is wonderfully constructed both in puzzles and design and types and nature of hides. Determined to make the best of this despite the rain.
Today is officially getting nuts! Walked the whole string in this section in the pouring rain. I am totally soaked now! Ha ha
Glad to see the rest of the family and the dry car parked on the horizon! TNLN TFTC

A day out with the Bromance saw a lot of laughs, plenty of caches including the Rose Geo Art, a lot of rubbish picked up along the way and heaps of fun. Sorry it has taken so long to log these, they were found way back in March! No excuse for not logging really - just a bit lazy I guess. Great fun, cheers.
Crookedpete was the inspiration behind our trip to Kilcoy today. With his cache count odometer slowly ticking its way towards 5000, he was keen for a sugar hit to his finds tally. I have been eyeing off this series of caches on and off for a while now, and CP's need was the impetus to get us out here. Before we could though we had to set about solving some puzzles. I had a few solutions already stored away but a mad bout of puzzle solving was required in the week before departure. I managed to solve all but a few, with the others in the Bromanceketeers filling the gaps.
An enjoyable day was had by all and our tally of caches was equalled by our haul of recyclable containers which we picked up along the roadside at each cache. We signed the logbbook with "Bromance" to save space not to mention time and our sanity. Thank you for your efforts in laying this trail of caches.

With plans being tentatively formulated for my next milestone, I needed to get a few numbers under the belt (lest the entire year slips away before I get to said milestone.)
Despite all of the Bromance (Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and myself) having lost our power trail mojo, Seffnjarah suggested the Kilcoy rose series for a morning Bromance road trip. With a hot day forecast, we hit the road early at SeffnStupid o'clock and had the first cache completed just as the sun peaked over the horizon. The last for the day was signed before noon.
The series had a good variety of clever hides - difference styles of micros were found on both the left and right hand side of various road signs, the occasional ammo can made an appearance, we managed a few simple tree climbs and the best of all - we managed to collect three rarer large size caches today! Hooray!
Along the way, we all collectively did our part for the environment and CITO'd a good size bin full of cans, plastic and glass bottles from almost every cache we visited. The tally for the day was 65 containers recycled (one for every rose!). With thanks to the cash for cans scheme, the Bromance slush fund balance now sits at $6.50, which should buy about 4 litres of diesel. Doesn't sound too impressive, but we were collectively proud of our efforts.
I was kind of hoping the cache would be hidden on the nearby fence (which was electrified), just so I could watch Fungus find it. But the obvious structure proved to be hiding the find. All good here. Logs were mostly signed "Bromance" to save space. Many thanks JACS Team for placing this cache.

Just a two star puzzle rating, but it had us going in circles for awhile. Finally got there! Today at GZ, we had the place to ourselves and it was a quick find. Fortunately, we had aTOOT which made life a little easier at GZ. Log signed and on our way to find another.

Boxing Day and the 28th of Dec were our days to complete and finalize this beautiful series. A day of inspiring music and drinks at Woodford in between sweetened this geoart. Thanks for all the efforts and great variety of puzzles and cache locations / types. We are very familiar with all the roads around the township now as we drove most of them twice and the farmers started greeting us when they saw our little blue car.

Headed out this morning before breakfast for a "bike ride and grab" (is that what you mean when you say a "park and grab" )and discovered that there was a local magpie who wanted to find out what my head was made of [B)]
Got to GZ and after finding the nano, couldn't resist going to the top and having a look around.
Thanks JACS Team.

We finally made it to the Roses
Solving this series was a high priority for our Queensland Muster holiday in anticipation of collecting them on our way home. Some were easy while others were more difficult but once the CO’s mind set was worked out we got into the rhythm of solving the bulk of them. Then the last few with some hints from the kind CO were finally knocked over.
After a good night sleep at the local free camping park we set off to complete the Roses series early so we could earn the great pathtag the CO had already kindly given us.
Thanks JACS Team for the great series we thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles and the placements.

Caching as Team DrB today (DiamonJs, Rusty85 and bobbiesgirl), the target is to get all these roses. They are a fabulous series, I loved most (?) of the puzzles and all the finds. I am sure so much time went into creating it and I appreciate it. TFTC and sorry about the copy and paste logs from here on.
Had solved these puzzles quite some time ago and when DiamonJs and rusty85 invited me along to do the series I jumped at the opportunity. Thoroughly enjoyed the variety of puzzles, the interesting containers and the whole caching journey. The copy and paste nature of my logs in no way detracts from my enjoyment and appreciation of the whole effort involved in putting out a series such as this. A big thank you JACS Team. Logs signed Team DRB to save time and space.
As we walked to GZ I mentioned that we had previously taken a phlog with both my daughters after finding the Yowie cache where they stood on the race-call platform. Well Mr 4ando couldn't wait to get up there and didn't even bother to help search.
After she found the cache, Mrs 4ando also went up to the top to call all the action. Unfortunately we backed the winner which was the weeds growing on the track.

Our day out at Kilcoy has been awesome, our highlights include:
Pulling to the side of the road to find a cache and in the old junk yard we see a letterbox that we can make good use of so we all wandered in and asked how much this bit of treasure would be, $5, sold! Now the guys had some entertainment, they must of looked at us like we were a bunch of tools the amount of photos we took with this letterbox out on the front.
Not sure if this qualifies as a highlight but it was definitely an event, pulling over to one of the caches there were a couple of muggles, hmmm how do we do this. Mr Woodyrothwell kindly let them know why the girls were heading into the long grass, in the meantime all that could be heard was ‘SNAKE!’ Right on the geo-trail a giant snake, being the good friend Mrs 4ando is she turned around screaming and nearly knocked down Mrs Woodyrothwell in her haste to get the hell out of there. The boys grabbed the hiking poles and ventured in to sign the log.
3. Of course all the bits of old rusted treasure we found along the way to take some good phlogs.
4. A great day with friends backed up with parmies and drinks afterwards.
5. No DNFs on the Rose.
Thanks for the series, leaving another FP on the final.
