We did a lot of research and puzzling in the run-up to our cacher tour around Kilcoy. We spent many hours solving them at home on this Geoart. We finally travelled to Kilcoy and looked for lots of roses in the beautiful countryside.Thank you for the beautiful Geoart and greetings from Team sissifalke

Today is day 2 up here in Kilcoy to do the Rose GeoArt. Everybody I know has done this GeoArt, when I was still working. Now that I have been retired for some years , I knew it was about time to do it. Started late morning and after 4 hours completed 27 caches. TFTC JACS Team

THE HINT IS NO LONGER APPLICABLESearched for this a few months back using the hint, obviously we didnt find it. Got a new hint and made a quick find today. TFTC and the series.

At last. TreasureTrakas & I spent a lot of time looking for this when we did the bulk of 65 Roses however this one eluded us. We found out why - the hint is not helpful at all. Thanks for a great series JACS Team and so glad to have got this one done.

There was talk at a recent event about cachers heading up to Kilcoy to knock off the Rose GeoArt and that burst of energy gave us the motivation to head back out and knock off the remaining ones we didnt grab on our previous visit, you never know if itll mysteriously disappear in the coming months/years so we wanted to finish it off just in case.We adjusted our coords with the offsets but for some unknown reason they placed us in someones front yard, riiiight That doesnt look right. We got in contact with a previous who was more than willing to lend a hand to get us back on track. Thankfully the new numbers only had us a short distance away so off we went. After a short walk we arrived at GZ but nothing was uncovered, we had several things to look over. Turns out we were searching the correct spot at first we just had to look closely, very closely! Thanks for bringing us here.#4336 - TFTC

Very hot day today, got all but 1 of the balance of our 65 Roses series. And this was the one that foiled our day. I will be keeping a watch out on this one for future finds and we will be back. Thanks Treasure Trakas for company and excellent navigating we WILL finish this series.

No luck here today. Sadly the only Rose Puzzle that we couldnt find.

14-Jul-23
This puzzle was only recently worked through in preparation for a visit like today, although it was a last-minute trip. I hadn't heard of this subject matter before, so Google was my friend!

After parking the vehicle and jumping out to start searching around GZ, it wasn't long before I spotted the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and a virgin logbook otherwise! Note that the cache wasn't a bison, but just a very well tucked in evil-sized nano! Thanks JACS Team for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

----------

During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).

Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

25-Apr-22
Found while heading back home to Adelaide after attending the Mega event at Townsville over Easter.

I ended up camping at Kilcoy for a couple of nights, attempting a few of the series late yesterday afternoon and most of the others today. Unfortunately the weather was not great with consistent, almost constant, light rain throughout the nights and days, but it wasn’t cold so not so bad for caching really.

I quite enjoyed solving the puzzles in this series in preparation for the trip but the caches weren’t so great. Many were missing, probably as a result of the recent flooding, and most are in need of maintenance. The coordinates and hints for a few were also a bit off, possibly due to cache creep.

Thanks JACS Team for the puzzle and the cache.

In the area today and decided to pick up a few caches and this was one of them. I parked nearby and once at GZ the cache was soon in hand and after signing the log all was returned as found.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

I took along some trackables for a visit.

These caches were actually found quite a while ago, however, I was tagging along with Willis007 (not even aware that this geoart existed!). I love geoart so it didn't seem fair to rob myself (and the co) of not solving the puzzles that go with it. So, with permission, I am logging as I solve.

Now, stuck in isolation and struggling through day 12 of the dreaded Covid-19 virus, I have plenty of time to work through these puzzles (and harrass a friend for subtle or nuclear hints - thanks Peppa!)

He went with subtle, subtle, still repeating the same subtle...yep this was bothering me. Then kaboom!! The nuclear hint. Oh...I didn't even know that existed. And now...I can solve one from another geoart that I was struggling with.

08-Jan-22
After spending some time last week working out the last of the puzzles, in some cases with a little guidance, we decided it was time to come and finish off the Roses today.
The weather was not exactly being kind, with Kilcoy Creek flooding and closing the highway in the morning but we weren’t going to let a little water stop us.
The recent rains have also encouraged abundant growth along the roadsides which saw us needing to push our way through knee-high to head-high grass to access many of the hides.
By the end of the day we were pretty much saturated from the thighs down but at least the dreary day seemed to keep both the muggles and creepy crawlies somewhat at bay.
Oops! It helps if you remember to pay attention to the offset. A quick find once we were at the correct GZ. TFTC JACS Team

21-Sep-21
This puzzle had me scratching my head a little, although with a nudge and my trusty toolbox i managed to work things into order.
Rolling upto to gz this morning had me so confused. Then i had a read of an offset and a few moments later i was rolling off to the final where i made a quick find. Luckily, not somewhere i'd wanto linger long.
Thanks JACS Team for something a little different !

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.

Decided to pack up and head north a day earlier as we were no longer dry in our tent. Teamed up with Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing as FAMS) to do the 65 Roses Geo-art and any others in-between before parting ways and caching our way to Maryborough where we will be based for three nights.

All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !

24,365. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33 and Smittengranny to form and sign as FAMS !

Day 7. Enough was enough. We decided that we had had enough of the rain at Dayboro, so we upped stumps a day early and started our journey up to Maryborough via The Roses Geo-Art and a couple more counties. Smittengranny and albida joined us for the Geo-Art. So after packing up the sodden campsite we headed north to Kilcoy after a final trip to the Dayboro Bakery. This was the next stop for the day. This was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as FAMS, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks JACS Team !!

Headed to Kilcoy for some flowers with BenM70 and Burgo78 on this wet day.
The area here will look fantastic when the sun comes out over all the green pastures, but today it was really a day to sit in front of a fire. Instead of a fire, I kept the car heater on a bit to keep us warm.

Signing the logs as BBK today to save space.

Thank you JACS for this cache!

Day 7 of the trip north with LuckyL10n and today saw us leaving Esk and heading to Dayboro....and finally the cacheQLD Mega. Luckily the event has now got the go ahead and all is good....

Our plan for the day was this series and we simply took our time and got around the caches without to many issues. 4 DNF's in there, but that still meant over 60 finds.

Thanks for the caches and the reason to check out the area JACs Team....

#10912 - 10:36:00 AM; Day seven of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. After a second night in Esk, we packed up and headed off on our final leg to the Mega. High on the agenda for today was awaiting advice on the Brisbane lockdown and whether or not the Mega would actually go ahead, or whether we would be turning around and heading home early. While we waited, we set out to log the "65 Roses" geoart series in and around Kilcoy. The good news on the lockdown came between our fourth and fifth finds in the series, so we knew we had time to try and complete it before we headed to Dayboro. All up we had 60 finds and four DNFs for the series. Most of the finds were fairly straight forward, while some required a little more effort, reference to hints and/or earlier logs and/or the exercise of the geosenses. Enjoyed the variety of the puzzles and the hides. One left for the return journey to complete the series. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC JACS Team Smile

Definitely our last day in Kilcoy, and we have finally finished the 65 Roses series of caches. All the caches we have found have been well placed - and have been a joy to find. Just a couple of long grass treks today but still an enjoyable morning caching.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing

Thank you for adding to our adventure.

Yesterday we searched quite a while, but couldn't find anything.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.

Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

After completing the darkside series yesterday and then a boat trip this morning to grab a trad we missed yesterday, it was then to pack up and continue the Rose’s series.

With an email to say the CO was in town doing some maintenance on the series of caches, it gave me a renewed enthusiasm for this series. It was extremely hot out here today but I had a goal and off I went. Willis007 came along for the drive and just did the caches she had solved, for me I had still three left to get (next time).

With log signed and cache replaced as found I was onto the next one. Thanks for this series I enjoyed it.

I had recently started working on the 65 Roses puzzles and was in the area this weekend collecting the Dark Side caches. However, this did give me an opportunity to start collecting some of the Rose series puzzles I had already solved.
This was an interesting puzzle, I wasn't quite sure how to approach this but after a bit of research came up with something which looked promising. Not too long after I had some good looking numbers which the checker liked as well.
A quick find here today. Log signed, cache replaced as found - all is well with the cache.
Thanks JACS Team for a fantastic puzzle series, and for placing the cache here.

We were happy to get the heads up from the CO that this now had an offset applied to it, as sometimes we are a bit lazy at re-reading the description after we have got things sorted.
Arriving at GZ, we parked as did a local, who was heading back home no doubt after a nice Easter lunch.
We waited until the coast was clear, and from the car could see a likely spot that this container maybe hidden. It was straight to GZ where we bought the container back into the car and signed it before returning it.
Thanks JACS Team,

Crookedpete was the inspiration behind our trip to Kilcoy today. With his cache count odometer slowly ticking its way towards 5000, he was keen for a sugar hit to his finds tally. I have been eyeing off this series of caches on and off for a while now, and CP's need was the impetus to get us out here. Before we could though we had to set about solving some puzzles. I had a few solutions already stored away but a mad bout of puzzle solving was required in the week before departure. I managed to solve all but a few, with the others in the Bromanceketeers filling the gaps.

An enjoyable day was had by all and our tally of caches was equalled by our haul of recyclable containers which we picked up along the roadside at each cache. We signed the logbbook with "Bromance" to save space not to mention time and our sanity. Thank you for your efforts in laying this trail of caches.

24-Mar-19
A day out with the Bromance saw a lot of laughs, plenty of caches including the Rose Geo Art, a lot of rubbish picked up along the way and heaps of fun. Sorry it has taken so long to log these, they were found way back in March! No excuse for not logging really - just a bit lazy I guess. Great fun, cheers.

24-Mar-19
With plans being tentatively formulated for my next milestone, I needed to get a few numbers under the belt (lest the entire year slips away before I get to said milestone.)

Despite all of the Bromance (Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and myself) having lost our power trail mojo, Seffnjarah suggested the Kilcoy rose series for a morning Bromance road trip. With a hot day forecast, we hit the road early at SeffnStupid o'clock and had the first cache completed just as the sun peaked over the horizon. The last for the day was signed before noon.

The series had a good variety of clever hides - difference styles of micros were found on both the left and right hand side of various road signs, the occasional ammo can made an appearance, we managed a few simple tree climbs and the best of all - we managed to collect three rarer large size caches today! Hooray!

Along the way, we all collectively did our part for the environment and CITO'd a good size bin full of cans, plastic and glass bottles from almost every cache we visited. The tally for the day was 65 containers recycled (one for every rose!). With thanks to the cash for cans scheme, the Bromance slush fund balance now sits at $6.50, which should buy about 4 litres of diesel. Doesn't sound too impressive, but we were collectively proud of our efforts.

Seff pulled the car up close enough that Fungus could nearly make the find from his seat, but he ended up getting out. A new house has been built on the corner here. I reckon the owners will be wondering about the weirdos pulling up here shortly. Big GrinLogs were mostly signed "Bromance" to save space. Many thanks JACS Team for placing this cache.

**Generic Log,So my amazing Geo-Wife KaleidoscopeCass and I hadnt planned in completing the rose, but we wanted to get a few on our way home, we left Toowoomba at 5am as we had lunch with my parents planned in Maroochydore, so... if we got up early we could nab a few finds in the morning, then have lunch and head back home. it ended up as finding 20 odd finds, heading to Maroochydore for lunch, returning to Kilcoy by 3:30 and finding the last 30 or so of the rose, what a massive day and our highest finds for the day, great series and we had alot of fun completing it! our very first geo-art series.. Thanks JACS Team and all those who put a hand in with setting up this series!!. - Logs Signed WallabyTim and KaleidoscopeCass, WT + KC or WTim, KalCass depending on log type and size

Boxing Day and the 28th of Dec were our days to complete and finalize this beautiful series. A day of inspiring music and drinks at Woodford in between sweetened this geoart. Thanks for all the efforts and great variety of puzzles and cache locations / types. We are very familiar with all the roads around the township now as we drove most of them twice and the farmers started greeting us when they saw our little blue car.

We finally made it to the Roses
Solving this series was a high priority for our Queensland Muster holiday in anticipation of collecting them on our way home. Some were easy while others were more difficult but once the CO’s mind set was worked out we got into the rhythm of solving the bulk of them. Then the last few with some hints from the kind CO were finally knocked over.
Even though it was dark we continued on , deciding to get the ones around town at night rather than in the daytime with muggle eyes upon us. Another tiny one....
Thanks JACS Team for the great series we thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles and the placements.

Caching as Team DrB today (DiamonJs, Rusty85 and bobbiesgirl), the target is to get all these roses. They are a fabulous series, I loved most (?) of the puzzles and all the finds. I am sure so much time went into creating it and I appreciate it. TFTC and sorry about the copy and paste logs from here on.

Had solved these puzzles quite some time ago and when DiamonJs and rusty85 invited me along to do the series I jumped at the opportunity. Thoroughly enjoyed the variety of puzzles, the interesting containers and the whole caching journey. The copy and paste nature of my logs in no way detracts from my enjoyment and appreciation of the whole effort involved in putting out a series such as this. A big thank you JACS Team. Logs signed Team DRB to save time and space.

We have been finding a great variety of different caches all over Kilcoy and sharing lots of laughs on the way. With quite a few caches under our belt we have become a well-oiled Scooby gang machine. Once again Mr 4ando pulled up on the footpath like he had an all-terrain license and we quickly had the cache located.

This time I could get the log out with the crocket TOTT but then of course dropped it in the grass. At least it stood out and we can sleep at night knowing we haven't destroyed any hides. tftc

Our day out at Kilcoy has been awesome, our highlights include:

1. Pulling to the side of the road to find a cache and in the old junk yard we see a letterbox that we can make good use of so we all wandered in and asked how much this bit of treasure would be, $5, sold! Now the guys had some entertainment, they must of looked at us like we were a bunch of tools the amount of photos we took with this letterbox out on the front.

2. Not sure if this qualifies as a highlight but it was definitely an event, pulling over to one of the caches there were a couple of muggles, hmmm how do we do this. Mr Woodyrothwell kindly let them know why the girls were heading into the long grass, in the meantime all that could be heard was ‘SNAKE!’ Right on the geo-trail a giant snake, being the good friend Mrs 4ando is she turned around screaming and nearly knocked down Mrs Woodyrothwell in her haste to get the hell out of there. The boys grabbed the hiking poles and ventured in to sign the log.

3. Of course all the bits of old rusted treasure we found along the way to take some good phlogs.

4. A great day with friends backed up with parmies and drinks afterwards.

5. No DNFs on the Rose.
Thanks for the series, leaving another FP on the final.

Our apologies for the generic logs, you will find that some will have an added comment.
Overall we enjoyed the series both puzzles and the variety of cache containers.
Today we hatched a plan to do all of the 65 Roses caches. The solving of the caches was hit and miss, some were simple and some were totally baffling to us. Thanks to our PAF for helping us.
We were very pleased that we were not towing today as quite a few of the cache GZ's would not accommodate a caravan, trailer etc. All of the co-ords are very good and the caches are in good condition. We managed to find 64 of the 65.

Adding Freddo's nano rant so that we can qualify for a challenge cache in South Australia.

I tried a few ideas but they were not worth the bother. Eventually I bothered my friends and they were able to help.

I must have missed logging this one last night. It cam up as my next closest this morning, but I have already been there. Another one where I sat in the gutter to sign the log. Smile
