Out with Duppers again this morning doing a few of the 65 roses.Quick find at this one. All good with is cache.I found your cache, 65 Roses - 20 today.JACS Team, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
We did a lot of research and puzzling in the run-up to our cacher tour around Kilcoy. We spent many hours solving them at home on this Geoart. We finally travelled to Kilcoy and looked for lots of roses in the beautiful countryside.Thank you for the beautiful Geoart and greetings from Team sissifalke
Today is day 1 up here in Kilcoy to do the Rose GeoArt. Everybody I know has done this GeoArt, when I was still working. Now that I have been retired for some years , I knew it was about time to do it. Started late morning and after 4 hours completed 27 caches. TFTC JACS Team
Wow, what a series of caches. Some ease some hard we had a great few days doing the Rose . Many thanks to Jacs team for placing so many caches in and around Kilcoy.
Found on a trip through Broken Hill, Tilpa, Bourke, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine to attend the QOGM at Longreach, then to Emerald, Biloela, Monto, Gayndah and Kilcoy on my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache, and for the entertaining caching foray around Kilcoy JACS Team!
Out geocaching w Treasure Trakas and enjoying the lovely weather and gorgeous scenery. Apologies for the generic log however with the better part of the 65 Roses to find and log, cut and paste has beome a necessity. Thank you JACS Team for the effort in putting this series together.TFTC
Out for a day of caching with SusanDW. We had a great day, finding all the caches that we looked for. A day with no DNFs is always a great day. Thanks to the CO for this fantastic series.
65 Roses Part #2.
Back into Kilcoy again to pickup a few more of this series. Forgot to open my offline list before I lost reception so missed a couple. Never mind, there’s always next time. . TFTC

This puzzle was only recently worked through in preparation for a visit like today, although it was a last-minute trip. I was able to solve this puzzle without too much difficulty, and the coordinates were put away ready for a future visit.
This geoart geocache was my first find of the day, and I noted the time to be 11:30 hr (it roughly took me five hours to work through the series). This was a quick find, and a nicely-sized find, and I became quietly confident that if all geocaches were like this, then it wouldn't take me too much time at all (a lesson I continue to re-learn: geocaching always takes longer than you think!). The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I took two TBs with me for future travels. Thanks JACS Team for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
----------
During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).
Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

With the kiddies at home Alyce and I decided to head to Kilcoy for a few hours to get started on the Rose.
We had a blast navigating the roads and enjoying the beautiful Somerset region. This place is truely breathtaking. I don’t know what it is, but I have a feeling it must be the country roads and getting away from everything, it’s something else. We don’t come here often, but we’re looking forward to returning to finish the series.
Thanks you JACS Team for the placement, puzzles, ongoing maintenance and for keeping this series alive.
Thanks for bringing us here.

After an enjoyable weekend at Somerset, finding lots of Dark Side caches, it’s home time. Muggle-hubby wasn’t too excited to stop on the trip home, but I bribed him with coffee and an apple & blueberry danish from CJ’s at Kilcoy, so he was content enough to let me make this find.
Even though there are roadworks and worksites all around the cache area, hopefully this spot and it’s cache continue to remain. The area is overgrown with downed tree branches and grass, but that keeps the cache well hidden. I must come back at some point and make a serious dent in this series. TFTC JACS Team

Driving from Gatton to Sunshine Coast through Kilroy was the plan today. Hopefully collecting a few of the rose caches as well as some high favourite caches on the way.
I didn’t get as many of the rose caches as I would have liked but certainly made up for that with a number of other caches. Some very very cleaver caches that have given inspiration.

Stopping in Kilcoy for a few days. Having previously contacted the CO of 65 Roses, today we headed out to tackle a few more, well with great weather and an easy run we actually completed the series!
All caches logged by us have been refreshed/replaced and left in good condition, with notes sent to CO.
This will be tricky to get parking during a weekday with the construction site office next door. no problem today though.

Found as I made my way home to Adelaide after attending the Mega event at Townsville. After camping (in the rain) near Maryborough i had an easy day travelling about, checking out the sights and picking up a few caches of interest along the way.
I decided to camp near Kilcoy tonight and attempted a few of this series late this afternoon. The strike rate was not good, with 3 DNFs and only 2 finds so far! However, this was the first I attempted and it was a quick find.
Thanks JACS Team for the puzzle and the cache.

After a few days of knocking over some of these puzzle caches the time finally arrived to turn them into smileys. Headed out early on a gorgeous Saturday morning to work my way slowest through this fantastic piece of geo art.
Won’t finish them all today but look forward to coming back soon to complete the series.
Thanks to the co’s for the effort in placing an d maintaining this wonderful reason to explore this part of the world.

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
29/1/22 After staying at Somerset Camping ground for a few days and doing the Darkside of the cache series now heading back home direction. Grabbing the 65 Rose series while here and then back up the highway. TFTC SL Caching with Caitlyn1105
Not sure when we solved this one, probably a few months ago when we were trapped at home for some reason. I like a puzzle that I have at least a clue as how to solve from the start.
On the way home from the Bunya Mountains and stopping in Kilcoy for a few scenic detours.
More wading through long grass to gz. Found the large outer container but the actual cache was floating inside as the bucket was full of water. Tipped it out and signed the log OK.

Caching with Willis007 to collect the rose geoart that I didn't even know existed. So now I am working through the puzzles and logging on completion. This was a quick easy puzzle. I usually do those and then realise I probably should have left that one for the kids. Oh well. The feeling of sweet success overrides.
Out on a caching day with Triple Turmoil, we headed up here to pick up some of the roses series.
I have been working on these puzzles for quite some time and collected a small portion of them last year. Today's target was to collect as many as we could, however, the Bruce Highway traffic ensured we had a late start.
A massive thank you to the CO who has put so much thought into an extremely well-themed cache series, the puzzles have been great to work on. Thank you also for placing and maintaining the caches.

Found with Peppa, Giraffe 18, 2manytrailers, blkthunder and Catboy67 on our Mega day of attempting to do the entire Rose series. Wish us luck. Hmmmm bit wet
Found it. Out for our Friday drive with the usual crew Peppa, Pirate Linda, giraffe 18 and a few ext catboy67 and bulk thunder. Another fun Friday
With an unusual public holiday announced, a plan was hatched to return to Kilcoy with the goal of finishing the 65 Roses Geoart… we’d last been here in January… so with PirateLinda, Giraffe18, 2manytrailers, Catboy67 and Blkthunder we left home at stupid o’clock this morning in convoy arriving in Kilcoy at 8am… With six of us the caches didn’t stand a chance… logs signed in full or some combination of P, PL, G18, 2MT, CB67 & BT…
We finally get to turn back towards Kilcoy and lunch… there was no problem finding the cache, and after emptying the water from the outer container I found the log nice and dry in the inner container… tftc…

I really like these type of puzzles. I should make one myself one day.
It's always nice to find a nice big container. Unfortunately this one isn't waterproof anymore. The uno card swaps are uh.. wet. I emptied out the water and signed the dry log. Luckily in a smaller sistema.
Mebe some tape? I didn't have anything appropriate on me.
Into the home stretch, now i get to ride by bike on the highway. Giddyup.
Thanks JACS Team for being a helping hand into pushing me to actually cycle out to get these caches in kilcoy. A very friendly town, i might add.

I had been going stir crazy locked in the house so intended to take a ride on the BVRT. It was raining near Esk my intended start so I just did a driving loop including a few Roses in Kilcoy.
( PS Late log is due to a review showing i had a few unlogged caches in 2021)

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
Decided to pack up and head north a day earlier as we were no longer dry in our tent. Teamed up with Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing as FAMS) to do the 65 Roses Geo-art and any others in-between before parting ways and caching our way to Maryborough where we will be based for three nights.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

24,406. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33 and Smittengranny to form and sign as FAMS !
Day 7. Enough was enough. We decided that we had had enough of the rain at Dayboro, so we upped stumps a day early and started our journey up to Maryborough via The Roses Geo-Art and a couple more counties. Smittengranny and albida joined us for the Geo-Art. So after packing up the sodden campsite we headed north to Kilcoy after a final trip to the Dayboro Bakery. This was the next stop for the day. This was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as FAMS, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks JACS Team !!

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !

#10934 - 12:46:00 PM; Day seven of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. After a second night in Esk, we packed up and headed off on our final leg to the Mega. High on the agenda for today was awaiting advice on the Brisbane lockdown and whether or not the Mega would actually go ahead, or whether we would be turning around and heading home early. While we waited, we set out to log the "65 Roses" geoart series in and around Kilcoy. The good news on the lockdown came between our fourth and fifth finds in the series, so we knew we had time to try and complete it before we headed to Dayboro. All up we had 60 finds and four DNFs for the series. Most of the finds were fairly straight forward, while some required a little more effort, reference to hints and/or earlier logs and/or the exercise of the geosenses. Enjoyed the variety of the puzzles and the hides. One left for the return journey to complete the series. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC JACS Team
Day 7 of the trip north with LuckyL10n and today saw us leaving Esk and heading to Dayboro....and finally the cacheQLD Mega. Luckily the event has now got the go ahead and all is good....
Our plan for the day was this series and we simply took our time and got around the caches without to many issues. 4 DNF's in there, but that still meant over 60 finds.
Thanks for the caches and the reason to check out the area JACs Team....

We had to wait for a stunning HT to move on when we arrived here. We believe the couple in it were the original owners. Thanks for this big cache.
Unfortunately plan A wasn’t able to happen today so that meant I needed a plan B. Having just had some help finishing the puzzles for this geoart, I took the opportunity to turn some of them into smileys. It was a great day driving around Kilcoy making the finds, I didn’t get them all but made a very good dent.
The seal is broken on this container so there was water in the bucket, tipped it out before signing the log, log is still ok. Tftc JACS Team

My GPS got stuck at 11 metres out nobmatter which way I went so I popped it away and just decided to head for sensible spot and there was a beautiful cache in all it’s glory. The lid is broken and there is now water inside the main container but the log is dry in its protective container. TFTC JACS Team

First day in Kilcoy. We're here to smell the roses, and so far the caches we found are well placed - and they are a joy to find. At our last location we had to wade through head high grass, dodging cobblers pegs, bindeis and spider webs for most caches.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Gold Coin
**Dropped Trackable:** "ANZAC Soldier".
Thank you for adding to our adventure.

Tftc JACS Team, great series, loved the variety of puzzles and difficulty. Puzzles solved now, with some needing a call to the brains trust for help. In the area for a few days to collect the smilies.
Out today on a mission with OBC and mini-OBC. Swung by here for the next of over 120 finds today. We enjoyed the Roses immensely, being decent puzzles and good hides with parking spots (mostly) and accurate coords.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.
Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

The coords were about 30m out for us but GPS has been very jumpy today and was obvious where it would be anyway - the lid has a slight crack but all good inside. Thanks for placing all these caches - I have been having a ball doing them all. Still a few to go so more fun to come
And next time we WILL try the bakery! Spent today doing other areas so just the one rose for us today.

With a planned weekend caching trip to grab the nearby dark series, I had today to make my way up to Kilcoy and grab a few of the rose’s series. A planned meet up with my “bud” team tyrrell for drinks at 6.00pm meant I had 3 hours to grab a few beforehand. Having solved a lot of these a few months prior and a few more over the last week it was time to see my achievements.
I was pretty excited to be out and getting into this series, I managed to get 30 of the series today and a couple of DNF’s, which I informed the CO about. There were some funny and different caches in this series and I wish I had been around when the original caches were placed. With the caches found I signed the log and replaced as found or better placed as a few were in the open or not attached as hint suggested.
Time to head to my camp ground and get ready for the weekend’s events. Thank you to the CO for this series.

This series was solved before departure from Adelaide and was on the cards for today, we managed to find about 1/3 of the caches before DNFing 2 so after that we left it as we knew we would have to return to complete it one day.
Most of the caches are in good condition although some of the field puzzles were broken and some of the caches were missing bits and pieces of there containers.
Overall a good series and a bit of fun.
On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with my two younger brothers (JL Rockstar) for a holiday/caching trip, a 4 day adventure that started with some disasters but slowly got better throughout which ended on a high.
Travelling up to tin can bay and Gympie, our to Kilroy and south west out to Ipswich.
Overall a great trip away with a total of 79 finds excluding the almost 50 labs found.
Thanks for the cache and it’s placement.

Stopping off in Kilcoy to grab a couple of letterboxes and some BIGGER caches. Quick find at GZ. TFTC
Nice easy puzzle solved by Swearah. She made quick work of the find at GZ too! TFTPC!
I spent hours upon hours solving the *65 Roses* puzzles (some with a little bit of guidance from the CO ... thanks muchly!) ahead of coming to the Sunshine Coast last week for a holiday. I managed to get to Kilcoy for a couple of hours last week to find some of the caches in the series (mostly the trads) but as we approach the end of our time here, there's still a heap of solved ones, 40-odd of them, sitting out there waiting for me to visit them.
Since I'll feel as if I wasted my time if we leave town without my having made a significant dent in that pile, I made the effort to get up early, real early, this morning to head out to Kilcoy. Stopped at Beerwah on the way for some coffee and sustenance to tackle the series, and then, over the course of the morning, I had a very scenic drive around the Kilcoy area ... and importantly, managed to find most of the ones I had on my list. There were a few I didn't get to, and I had a couple of DNFs too since, in the interests of getting back to spend the afternoon with the muggle missus, I limited each search to 5 minutes or so.
Now, I'm heading home very happy ... 50-something smilies as a reward for my puzzle solving efforts over many long nights.
Thank you to JACS Team for putting together a wonderful piece of geo-art ... as well as for a nice mix of puzzles, some easy and some quite challenging, and for a very enjoyable tour of the Kilcoy district. And apologies too for my next 30 or so logs which will be much shorter than this one, and all the same ... I'm sure you understand how it is.

After a few weeks of puzzle solving, head scratching, a few curses uttered and a nudge or two from the CO, today was the day to head out into the sunshine and drive all around Kilcoy to gather some smileys and to chase after some jewel thieves . All caches were found quickly and in good condition, the field puzzles were fun to sort and an enjoyable day was had by all. TNLNSL TFTC . Thanks JACS Team for a really enjoyable series.
Today we tackled this series, with an early start we worked our way around the country side finding the solved puzzles.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks JACS Team for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

TFTC. Teamed up with snakepiters to both solve and find these caches. Great bunch of puzzles to solve and get some new skills up. Have loved reading the story behind these caches.
Now only a day away from home and stopped by here to complete the Roses Geoart. Staying at the Showgrounds and dodging the rain clouds today. Teamed up with Cheekybum_15 to do the Kilcoy caches.

Out today caching to do more of the . Left about 7 this morning to go up to Kilcoy, had planned to be for about three hours to as many as so can. Got 27 today. Pick 3 other on the way home. Another good day caching. #1004 D20
My mission today was to try and find as many of the Roses series caches as I could. Apologies first for the cut / paste logs. I don't usually like to do that but make the odd exceptions for power trails and cache series like this. I will try to call out anything that stood out for me. I noticed this geoart series when I was passing through the area about a month ago. I was pretty sure that I would have to come back so tried to find time to solve as many of the puzzles as I could. This week I was back in the area for work so set today aside to get out and do some serious caching. This was the first one I came to. A big one too. I think this puzzle was pretty straightforward too. Dropped in a trackable. TFTC, Biggles.
I was out for a drive in the country after my morn ing brew and headed for an event at Esk and decided to grab a few caches in the Roses series on my way past and this was one of them.
Once at GZ it was a short search and the cache was soon in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Crookedpete was the inspiration behind our trip to Kilcoy today. With his cache count odometer slowly ticking its way towards 5000, he was keen for a sugar hit to his finds tally. I have been eyeing off this series of caches on and off for a while now, and CP's need was the impetus to get us out here. Before we could though we had to set about solving some puzzles. I had a few solutions already stored away but a mad bout of puzzle solving was required in the week before departure. I managed to solve all but a few, with the others in the Bromanceketeers filling the gaps.
An enjoyable day was had by all and our tally of caches was equalled by our haul of recyclable containers which we picked up along the roadside at each cache. We signed the logbbook with "Bromance" to save space not to mention time and our sanity. Thank you for your efforts in laying this trail of caches.

A day out with the Bromance saw a lot of laughs, plenty of caches including the Rose Geo Art, a lot of rubbish picked up along the way and heaps of fun. Sorry it has taken so long to log these, they were found way back in March! No excuse for not logging really - just a bit lazy I guess. Great fun, cheers.
With plans being tentatively formulated for my next milestone, I needed to get a few numbers under the belt (lest the entire year slips away before I get to said milestone.)
Despite all of the Bromance (Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and myself) having lost our power trail mojo, Seffnjarah suggested the Kilcoy rose series for a morning Bromance road trip. With a hot day forecast, we hit the road early at SeffnStupid o'clock and had the first cache completed just as the sun peaked over the horizon. The last for the day was signed before noon.
The series had a good variety of clever hides - difference styles of micros were found on both the left and right hand side of various road signs, the occasional ammo can made an appearance, we managed a few simple tree climbs and the best of all - we managed to collect three rarer large size caches today! Hooray!
Along the way, we all collectively did our part for the environment and CITO'd a good size bin full of cans, plastic and glass bottles from almost every cache we visited. The tally for the day was 65 containers recycled (one for every rose!). With thanks to the cash for cans scheme, the Bromance slush fund balance now sits at $6.50, which should buy about 4 litres of diesel. Doesn't sound too impressive, but we were collectively proud of our efforts.
Last of the series today. All roses found and accounted for and only 1 DNF at the Yowie. Logs were mostly signed "Bromance" to save space. Many thanks JACS Team for placing this cache.

Rolling back to Brissy after an overnight stay out west and a break in the clouds. Much cooler today and happy to report we have had rain at Cooyar Kilcoy a perfect break in the drive and trying to crack 5k for the Mega, which may or may not happen
No probs with the puzzles and most were fun and solved easily. A quick find here and first of the ant bites possibly due to inappropriate footwear.

The first in this series that we have found it. We have come for a drive to try and collect as many of these as we can. It took some months to solve all of these puzzles, and with a free weekend, we decided to come for a visit. A lovely sized container greeted us at GZ. we enjoyed solving these puzzles and are happy to be able to visit the area.

Mr and Mrs CNQ left the junior caches at the grandparents on Bribie and headed off to the Bunyas, sampled the rose series before lunch in Kilcoy and this was the first one today. Generous container thanks JACS
Two peanuts were walking down the street. One was a salted.
**Generic Log,So my amazing Geo-Wife KaleidoscopeCass and I hadnt planned in completing the rose, but we wanted to get a few on our way home, we left Toowoomba at 5am as we had lunch with my parents planned in Maroochydore, so... if we got up early we could nab a few finds in the morning, then have lunch and head back home. it ended up as finding 20 odd finds, heading to Maroochydore for lunch, returning to Kilcoy by 3:30 and finding the last 30 or so of the rose, what a massive day and our highest finds for the day, great series and we had alot of fun completing it! our very first geo-art series.. Thanks JACS Team and all those who put a hand in with setting up this series!!. - Logs Signed WallabyTim and KaleidoscopeCass, WT + KC or WTim, KalCass depending on log type and size

Boxing Day and the 28th of Dec were our days to complete and finalize this beautiful series. A day of inspiring music and drinks at Woodford in between sweetened this geoart. Thanks for all the efforts and great variety of puzzles and cache locations / types. We are very familiar with all the roads around the township now as we drove most of them twice and the farmers started greeting us when they saw our little blue car.

Our first find of the Roses! Loved doing the puzzles which are the cause of several late nights. This was a quick solve and a quick find. Have dropped a TB to mark our first find. Thanks for the series.
A nice big find here! our second of the day as we attempt to complete this trail and reach some milestones today TFTC
