A lovely early morning drive along the dam and a detour for this cache. With the good coords it was soon spotted. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks HRH54 for another one of your great caches.
Found this one with @Lacuna__ on the 22/03/24 while we were out camping at the dam, forgot to log it until Lacuna reminded me the other day! clever little hiding spot TFTF
Another innovative hide - took us a while although it was the first place we thought of but didnt follow through until we had searched for a while TFTC SL
TFTC.crazy hot summer day. Driving around with rookie geonephew. This was a great hide. Geonephew thought it was cool as.
GeoM and I spent an awesome afternoon cruising around the lake with his school friends family. We both unsuccessfully attempted wakeboarding and then watched them all make it look easy. Afterwards we went back to their house and the kids had a play for a while before we headed back to the holiday park. With some extra time before dark set in, we stopped to look for a couple of caches. We pulled over and GeoM jumped out with no shoes on. The first thing he touched revealed the cache, but within seconds he was covered in biting ants so he ran off and left me to battle the ants and sign the cache. Thanks HRH54 for another great cache. We have had a wonderful couple of days camping here at the Holiday Park.
Oh, that was quite clever! Took me a while of searching around the vicinity of GZ, and even wondering if the size was correct, when I gave something a waggle and there it was! Celebrating the beginning of Spring by spending a day on Lake Somerset with good friends, finding caches. TFTC, HRH54. =^.^=
It was time to head home after a fab weekend with krcamber and we needed to stop in here on the way out. I was checking all the usual spots when krcamber announced she'd found it. Oooh - Great camo!
Thanks for the cache, HRH54
Thanks for the cache, HRH54
Swearah and I are on the way home after a super day of dark siding adventures on the water yesterday. Of course today is wind free and the water is flat as because we are going home….typical as. At GZ, this took a little looking in all the wrong places before we finally uncovered the sneaky well camoed hide. A great one, FP for the effort. TFTC!
Something shimmered in the corner of my eye. Now with the idea shall head back to our dnf
Found with wazza after some boating caches. Heading home now.Pretty cool cache. TFTC
During my drive towards the caravan park, I thought I would give this geocache a quick minute to try to find prior to meeting the rest of my group. Thankfully, I managed to stop and make a reasonably quick find of this cleverly disguised geocache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks HRH54 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).
Today, the plan was to attack as many of the *Dark side of the cache* geoart on Lake Somerset as daylight, time and energy could handle. After staying in D'Aguilar, I stopped at Kilcoy to participate in Yowie parkrun, before then making my way to Hazeldean to meet [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z) and pick up our hire boat.
We set off from Kirkleagh Boat Ramp just after 08:45 hr, and we made our way south / south-east whilst attacking the various geocache clusters. The lake was at 80% capacity with not too many boating muggles about, although there was one boat testing its speed limits as it "flew" across the lake. Ultimately, we managed to find all 108 available geocaches by the end of the day, which none of us expected to achieve. The Winter weather was fantastic as it wasn't hot, and the three of us had a lot of fun boating and walking/hiking across the lake's peninsulas.

Geo granddaughter was afraid to pick up the hide, but after I told her it was same as one I had back in Melbourne, she soon had the cache in hand, signed, and returned to its hide, Thanks HRH54, all is in good condition
HRH54 I found your cache Lakes Entrance Kirkleagh on 15/3/2023, 2:10 pm. This is my find 4848 and find # 15 today. Found it after a search. Sneaky hide. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After a great day out in the water, it was time to head home. Not before I found this one though. There’s always one more right?
Looked for this one after parting ways with Duppers. This one had me scratching my head for a minute. Cool hide, worthy of a FP.

Muggle-hubby and I are camping at Somerset this weekend with some of his fishing buddies and their families. One of the young teenagers has discovered caching, possibly due to muggle-hubby complaining about my caching adventures, so I took young teen with me to find this cache.
I spotted it fairly quickly and shortly after young teen found it too. Nice hide. I’m looking forward to finding lots of Dark Side caches on the water tomorrow. Hopefully I might sleep tonight, although with the noise and the language coming from the campsite behind us, I don’t like my chances too much. Fingers crossed. TFTC

An adventure on Lake Somerset with Davinells, and there’s just enough time for a cache or two before we launch…
Can’t complain about the bespoke containers in this corner of the world…
I touched the right thing, and soon had the container in my hand… tftc…

Found it! Loved it!
While out here on school camp I woke up early before the students and went for a run. Managed the find after clearing the way from spiderwebs.
I didn’t however bring a pen on my run so couldn’t physically sign so I took a picture of the log.

Intrigued by this owners caches from the logs. First one we attempted and couldn't see it. Found a couple further south and headed back to this one on our way home but the ranger was sitting in view so had to leave it.

Hoping to get the cache up and running soon. Weather plus container creation has elongated the process. Looking forward to getting it back in place as do enjoy reading folks logs.
Checked the cache this afternoon and its been vandalised. Will make a another and update details as will need moved.
Our fresh gel friend found it pretty quick!
Awesome cache.
Found with Jess and Nicole.

TFTC. What a sneaky hide. Almost gave up as I was looking in all the “usual” places.
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that i can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
26/1/22 Down caching from Mackay and staying at Somerset Dam. Brought the boat to complete the darkside series. Thanks for the cache. SL
Staying in the park and went for a walk to find this well hidden in plain sight type cache, very clever, I like it.

We searched for this very clever hide this morning prior to our caching adventure today. A favourite point from us for the great camouflage

I was swooped by an angry territorial magpie right here at gz which made things amusing.
Surprisingly the find i walked right up to and found immediately.
Not that that detracts from it's awesomeness.
An easy favourite point here.
Rang the park here multiple times with no reply, so turned around (waving a big curved stick like a mad fool) and headed to kilcoy instead.
I considered staying here to collect a few more dark side caches, but i think i'll instead come back with a crew and tackle it together.
Thanks HRH54 for another classic hidden in plain sight geocache.
An easy favourite for the collection.

My husband wanted to go to Kilcoy races today and i said thats great because there were still a few caches around that i wanted to find. I dropped him off and this was the first of three caches i found out here. i had read about this cache last night and thought i might have trouble finding it but i was surprised that i found it really quick. Happy days, i then went on to have some lunch at somerset damn. Thankyou for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
It's been far too many months since The Bromance last went on a weekend geocaching road trip so plans were made a couple of weeks ago for a journey north towards Kingaroy and the surrounding area. Unfortunately Crookedpete was unable to make it due to family commitments so it was a Bromance Lite+ trip of JezNDez, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah.
Today was Day 2 of the trip, and after an overnight stay in a dingy motel in Kingaroy and a few caches picked up around town , we continued our journey northwards. We decided to turnoff from our northerly heading just short of Kilkivan and make our way back to Brisbane via the tracks through Wrattens National Park, with the main purpose of avenging and old DNF.
With that mission completed we headed for home, but were happy to stop off for a few more caches including this one. Swellerfungus has been hobbled most of this trip, still recovering from ankle surgery. This one we managed to park close enough for him to jump out and find. Eventually found the cache after a false start. Signed the log in the name of The Bromance. TFTC

You nearly had me with your little trick! Found it on attempt number 2! Nice hide.
Searched the obvious place first, before realizing we were looking for a D3 so put our eyes to work and soon spotted a much more appropriate hiding spot. Did as suggested and continued down to view the lake afterwards. TFTC HRH54
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks HRH54 (F=1674 H=9) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Catching up on late logs.
We were up here to attend the Daybro Mega event but the weather was not very kind to us so we decided to concentrate on Adventure Labs and any thing else that was near by.
The weather had turned quite nice so we joined forces with Geoturtle and Pappie to try our luck at some local caches.
This was another one we thought would be a DNF then a look from a different view we spotted something out of place and sure enough it was the cache so we added our names to the log and of course another favorite point to the cache page.
Many thanks once more HRH54 for great hide.

Even though we have found a couple like this before, this one took us longer than it should have to locate. Thanks for the cache.
This one wouldn’t have taken so long to find if we trusted our GPS’s. Thanks for the cache.
Found by Mary and David at 15:00. The last one for the day as we now book into the Resort for a short stay. Yes, another FP. Love your work. Our thanks to HRH54.
After a brief day on the water today because of winds we decided to come up here and grab this one. all good

Found at 3:54 PM GAFF1.
We were welcomed by the staff at the resort that we had booked into and then set up camp and after a very nice lunch headed out to do some of the trads in the area.
This first one looked easy - especially when we saw a typical cache hide at GZ, but oh boy were we wrong. Checking the D rating indicated that we were not looking hard enough, and suddenly after a few moments c-pprass turns over a dastardly hide that is so against the guidelines - but so good[ in effect
Thanks HRH54.

Lake Somerset Trip - Day 6
After a delayed start to the day (after 2 big days on the lake), our aim was to cherry pick a number of the 65 roses powertrail. Managed to avoid the drizzle for most of the afternoon. Grabbed a couple more on the way back to our accommodation. Third sneaky hide by the CO in a row. This is probably my fav so adding another to the already long list of FPs

After getting set up in to the park we went to look for a few of the closest land caches. Crikey! we now know not to be complacent about simple and easy hides around the dam. TFTC HRH54, nicely done.
Omg that was the best find I have found yet. I seen the guardian and was like it’s here somewhere as you don’t just find these randomly lying around!
After completing the darkside series yesterday and then a boat trip this morning to grab a trad we missed yesterday, it was then to pack up and continue the Rose’s series.
With an email to say the CO was in town doing some maintenance on the series of caches, it gave me a renewed enthusiasm for this series. It was extremely hot out here today but I had a goal and off I went. Willis007 came along for the drive and just did the caches she had solved, for me I had still three left to get (next time).
When leaving the campsite i noticed this one and had to stop by, i stubbed my toe looking for this. A very clever hide and it gave me a smile.
With log signed and cache replaced as found I was onto the next one. Thanks for this series I enjoyed it.

Staying at Esk for a few days. Today we travelled from Esk to Kilcoy via Toogoolawah then back to Esk via Somerset. We found 21 caches in total, they were a great variety of Traditionals, Puzzles and a Multi.
Great hide. A FP from us
Thanks to all the COs that have hidden caches in this area for us to enjoy.

Out doing more Dark Side caches for the third time. Windy day on the lake. Getting wet in the little tinny. Storm clouds looking ominous so we decided to call it quits on the lake this afternoon and make our way to our cabin for tonight.
Knowing now that this CO does some very interesting caches, we looked for the unusual and after a few minutes, found the neat hide. SL then returned as found. What a great idea for a cache!!! Must remember that!

We decided to join forces for a few day's caching on Lake Somerset. Our first day, and we are motoring our boats to do the northern end where there are some traditional, caches, then start on the caches of the Dark Side series.
Last of our pre-water caches.
Cache located, log signed and all replaced as found. TFTC, HRH54, at 8:56 AM on September 3, 2020.

Visiting from the Gold Coast and spending several days in the local area. This is our first day on the water after hiring a neat little tinnie to get us to and from the various islands and we certainly enjoyed every minute of it especially with the large volume of different types of birds flying around or just keeping a watchful eye on us combined with the herds of cows coming & going.
We picked up this great hide on our way out of the park, well done CO.

That was tricky. The little guardian pointed the way. We nearly walked away. A friendly magpie must know whats going on. He sat right near the cache. As we left he let out a sqwake and we returned. Thanks Maggie. TFTC
