Quick find along the road from the dam on the way back I had some time for the just one more game. Mostly pleasent and quick finds, but a couple where tricky and took a little while to spot. All in good order here. A nice and beautiful drive indeed. The afternoon: Having to go back to Corin Resourt to pick up some items we had left behind a few weeks back, I took the opportunity to do some more caching at the end of Corin Road, that I had eyed off ever since we moved back here. We were last here with the small kids in Oct 2011 doing some caches closer to the road but leaving the walk down to the Core be. Lots of new caches at the dam since then and the old caches at the bottom still waiting. Two wonderful walks, one was an hour, 2km, to the Crown and Trig and another down to the bottom and then up to Basil for another good hour and 3km (and some higher heart rates indeed) Thank you ALL7 for putting the cache out and maintaining it and in doing so contributing to this awesome hobby of ours.
First cache of the day with Baristayan, who has been keen to continue this series ever since we started a few weeks back. This really is such a beautiful part of the bush, just a bit of a shame about the local hoons who treat this like an F1 circuit. This one took us a little while longer than it should have! But we got there in the end...I am still afflicted with that habit of making things a lot harder than necessary. Thanks!
Found with buckoraiderOur first stop today. Ive been sick for sometime now and was hoping a bit of caching outdoors would sort me out.GZ was prickly indeed! There were two options for logs. We chose to inspect the one on the left first, but was unsuccessful When inspected the right one, we found a smileyThanks ALL7 for the hide
This was the tenth of the unloved caches (292 days, running total 3,201 days) that I went looking for today. Geoecache in good condition; the walk to it was quite prickly!* * * * * * *Having started the day with a breakfast event to meet local geocachers, I headed back towards Corin Dam to collect a string of unloved geocaches. I had visited Corin Dam last weekend, planning to pick up a few geocaches, but had not got the map thing happening properly. I was more diligent in making sure that I knew which dam was which this weekend! Knowing that there would be no reception, I had a list planned. This was my first big day of geocaching since relocating to Canberra from Melbourne last week. I'm looking forward to a lot more of these! Thanks for the cache, ALL7
Today was really beautiful weather so it was decided to go for a beautiful country drive with ilook4geo. We chose this series for its beautiful views and we were not disappointed. We found most of the caches listed with just a few that we missed. Thanks go to ALL7 for putting out this series of caches.
Out for a day's caching with goingplaces2 and enjoyed all the caches we found. Log signed and replaced as found. TFTC.
Lovely drive. Our only complaint - we didn’t pack enough food! Starting to get a bit more hungry and trying to ration out our available food so no one gets grumpy . Thanks for this series it is a beautiful road to drive with some stunning views.
I headed out after work to reach my caches per day target for today. It is one of my days with the least number of finds from the last 15 years. I started with a few puzzles recently solved (usually with a bit of a push in the right direction) and then moved onto the Beautiful View caches along Corin Dam road, starting from where it is closed by the ski field. I was a bit surprised at how little damage had been caused by the fires along here. Thanks to Liz&Bruce for replacing a few of these caches.
Thanks.

Sunshine and an opportunity to go caching, what a great combination. Got this one. Scenery beautiful. Our thanks to ALL7 for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
sjg66 and I have lived in the ACT region for over 30 years and have never been to Corin dam, so today was the day. Depressing to see the dam at less than 20% full, but still and nice drive and some great caches along the way.
I've already found five caches today. I'm off on a drive bymyself to soothe my soul after a fairly hectic day. It's wonderful up here today. It's reasonably late in the day, but nowhere near dusk. The light is brilliant, I enjoyed the road and the drive, and I grabbed the last 16 caches in this series. It was great fun.
The log in this one was very damp. The container had water in it, which had got inside the log's plakky bag. I emptied out the water, dried things as best I could, replaced the cache so it wasn't sitting in water (without moving the cache) and off I went.
Find no 1 of 16 for this series today.
Thanks, ALL7

A few days caching in the ACT and surrounds with Steeba and The Rats, another trip away like countless others that we have done before. We got the dates, we did the planning, we worked out a route. But there was one thing that we could not plan for; the weather.
The caches were excellent. The company faultless. The weather; atrocious. High winds, cold, sleet, rain, mush, icy, snow, we had it all! But we endured, and had a fantastic time regardless. Did I mention that it was cold? Bone chillingly cold. I am not sure my fingers have as yet recovered! Some roads were even closed due to snow, curtailing our route and resulting in some last-minute changes.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

A very chilly couple of days in and around the ACT with The Rats and Hoojar- most of the time the temperature didn't peak above 4 degrees! Amongst the sleet, rain, wind and cold however we made plenty of finds on mainly a number of power trails. TFTC!
Headed out for a caching run with steeba and Hoojar that had a bit of everything. These caching runs are planned months in advance and to-date have been perfect. This trip was no different – except for the influence of the WEATHER. A weekend in the Canberra hills that had howling winds, driving rain, sleet, hail, snow, frozen body parts slippery icy tracks, closed roads and temps that never got higher than 6 deg by day and were subzero all night, but alas we had a great boys weekend caching.
Apologises for the generic log but it doesn’t detract from the caching fun, except for the WEATHER which played a major part in our weekend. Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides.

Out and about on another lovely day for a geomission to nab more ALL7 caches and a few other randoms along the roads to Tidbinbilla
All caches were quick finds apart from a couple of tricky ones and a couple of DNFs. Really enjoyed the drive and the wanders around this beautiful area!

Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Apologies for the generic log but we have found too many to compose individual logs. Many thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, which have been exceptional in their maintenance I have had only 1 dnf and that was only because I was not going to make a tree climb without seeing where the cache was. The vast majority of caches have had very good coordinates. Along with useful hints. TFTC
Attending the Queanbeyan Clear Waters mega event, this was a day packed with hikes and power trails. All good with this cache. Thanks for its placement and ongoing maintenance.
Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Found with a group catchers and logged as "Lucky9" Thanks for the series and for placing it ALL7.
A perfect day for geocaching today. Found it with a group of geofriends. Thank you ALL7 for bringing us here.
Beautiful day for the caching. Found it with 'Lucky 9' and thanks ALL7 for organising the caches
At the Queanbeyan Clearwater event so my wife HippyDonna and I thought we would attack the Beautiful View series, a very testing day. Thanks for doing this series, greatly appreciated & with people like you it makes caching fun.
Out and about today with MrGravel to grab a heap of caches as part of our holiday at the Queanbeyan Mega event.
The Beautiful View series was just what we needed after a couple of days in the city!
Sorry for the generic logs but we appreciate all the caches you have put out for everyone to enjoy!
We signed many logbooks with either our names or HDMG to save space

Looked nice outside today, time for a bit of caching. Have previously found a few out this way, time to smiley up the place even more and add a few new(ish) ALL7 trail caches and a mixed splattering of others to the ever increasing total.
In the end found 40 from 40 for the day, not too bad an effort. Some of the trail caches were damp, one or two wet and soggy. Where possible (if I remembered to note it), it will be mentioned in the log, along with anything else I might have found interesting.
Thanks to everyone for the effort in placing and maintaining. A special occasion as well, somewhere today will hopefully be my 400th Tankengine find!!

Finished off this trail this morning. All caches found OK, most easily, a few a bit trickier. Fairly quiet around here today which made parking much easier.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Found while visiting the very scenic Namadji area for the week. Thanks for the cache ALL7!
AFter a FTF chase nearby I settled in to clean up as much of this power trail as I could fit in before I had to be back at home.... not too many, I think 18 or so, but not too bad.
All the hides were found without too much difficulty, though a few had very soggy logs
Thanks for putting out this and all the other power trails!

I had a lovely day out on Tidbinbilla Road picking up the Beautiful View series and a few others. Thanks again ALL7 for another beaut series
What a fabulous day to be out caching. Back out across Point Hutt Crossing to attack more of ALL7's Power Trails. Oh the work that has gone into them.
I found every cache I went for though some took far too long. My name has now been added to another 36 caches.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this series of caches for us to find.

A drive to Corin to complete some more of this series. All attempted were found in good condition with the exception of one which evaded us. TFTC and the big effort in placing and maintaining this huge series ALL7
I woke to a beautiful day so took a drive to Corrin Forrest, a place I had not yet visited. Of cause the weather changed to drizzle, which is great for the farmers, not so much the caches.
Now it is dark, I'm on my way home and am determined to get as many caches as I can.
I found this one in good condition.

#8455 - 12:18; Received a shout from No_Tomorrow to say she would be in the National Capital and was after some partners in crime for some caching while she was here. A plan was hatched with Sol de lune to tackle a couple of the new series starting at Point Hut Road and heading towards Tharwa and then on towards Corin Dam, picking up a few others along the way. I picked up the other members of the team and we headed off on what proved to be some great weather for caching, unlike a couple of days back when the mission was initially planned to take place, even though there was still snow on the ground in Corin Forest. Managed to collect 73 from 73 today, including a couple I had on my 'solved but unfound' puzzles list, without a single DNF, not bad for a few hours out, and a good time was had by all. TFTC ALL7
Out with No_Tomorrow, who was in town from Dubbo, and Luckyl10n to grab a few caches to add to our smiley list, and also get the number of unfound local caches down to a manageable amount.
70 caches in the day was a good return for the few hours we spent out. Great winters day and we found everything we went out for.
No problems here and the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks ALL7....

I couldn't get my daily dose of fresh air at work this morning, so took a drive up the lower Corin Road to finish off the Beautiful Views series. Pretty chilly in town clothes and snowing at #44 where I finished. Thanks for the series, TFTC.
Out today on a sparkling sunny winter's day - just perfect for a day caching around the Cotter and the approaching roads. Seems like most of Canberra is travelling this road today! Thanks ALL7 .
Found with Nissan65 on a few days off work caching. Headed up after work last night for an early start. Fingers crossed the wind dies off. Thanks for the cache
We were on the search for some hidden creatures today. A stunning day and perfect to be out and about. This was #16 for the day. Found at 09:56:00. Thanks ALL7
Cache 3966 on 21 Jul 2018
My last chance to grab enough caches to get all the mythical creatures souvenirs, so Bobl27, TikvaNZ, Noikmeister and I set out to grab a few easy caches today. Unless otherwise noted, caches were found in accordance with any hints.
Thanks ALL7 for the cache and the fun!

I hadn't been taking much interest in the 'Hidden Creatures' challenge, but when I realised I was so close to getting all the souvenirs just by caching as normally, I decided to make that extra effort and get the last two souvenirs. So today with Decrypter we made a trip out past Tharwa again to find more in this series. Surprisingly the road was busier than expected. Most caches were found without problem. The road was temporally closed after this and so we turned around and went to find geocaches elsewhere. TFTC ALL7.

Teamed up with BobL27 (our driver), AngelG27 and Noikmeister to do the Beautiful View series and the other interspersed caches. We started at Drive to Country and got as far as Woods Reserve along Corin Road (it was closed from there due to ice). Most caches immediately found, with the rest soon found. Logs either stamped with names in full, or signed as (Team) BANT. TFTC.

**FIND #43 OF 200**
Well, the day is here! A day I had planned for quite some time. 200 finds in one day with Loci612. We started out just after 6am, in absolutely freezing temperatures given it had been -7 degrees overnight. With a very tight plan for the caches today, we headed out to find our first cache at 6:38am. From then on, it was a very tidy stream of finds. We hit a hurdle with Paddy's Pass but eventually made the find. After that, all the finds were relatively easy until the section of ALL7 caches heading south along Tidbinbilla Road. A few of these caches caused us some strife but we eventually found all of them.
After driving all morning finding caches, it was nice to get out and stretch our legs with DARKSIDEDAN and joeylovestreasure's Vampire Trail. Some enjoyable finds out there! After that we headed out to Burra to pick up the new ALL7 caches along the roads out there. A lot of nice and quick park and grabs and our first DNF of the day, on Burra #24. A few caches in and around Michelago and then we were off to Old Cooma Road for the last couple of caches for the day. I found I was one short at the end of it all so we swung by a quick cache in Fadden to make 200 finds for the day!
Lots of ALL7 caches for the day and a few other ones thrown in the mix. All logs were signed CL or LC with the date 12/7. Thanks to all the COs who placed caches that we found today!

**Cache #44 of 200 for the day! **
A while ago Cankid came up with a crazy plan of attempting to find 200 caches in a single day with the help of the recently published trails by ALL7 and lots of extra's thrown in along the way. I said I was in and a plan was hatched!
The day started at 5:30am when I drove down south to meet up with Cankid, and we soon headed off soon afterwards, picking up cache #1 at **6:38am!** The temperatures started off below 0°C for the first couple of hours and we struggled to open the containers and sign the logs with numb hands. The day soon warmed up however and the layers were taken off and we powered through all the caches on our pre planned list!
Cache #100 was then found at **12:37pm** almost exactly 6 hours after we started and halfway through our goal.
Cache #150 came at **2:57pm**, we had only rested for about 15 minutes by this point to have some lunch!
We were soon very close to the target but the last couple of caches were slower ones back in Canberra just to finish off the powertrails with something more interesting. By the time we were all finished up it was **6:51pm**, not a bad effort considering and just over the 12 hour mark! It was certainly a long day!
P.S Sorry for the generic logs, but 200 caches was a lot to take in! All the ones I remember have extra comments down the bottom
---
*We signed the log either **C.L or L.C with the date 12/7**, for Loci612 and Cankid. We had a miscommunication and depending who signed the log put a different letter first *

Plans were made to head out with Rapidlywild to pick up a few of the newly published caches that came out while we were away. Suffering from caching burn out the Hidden Creatures event made it a little more enticing. Weather wasn't too bad for winter so we decided to start today.
Sorry for the copy and paste logs, but all caches were found quickly except for 2 that we logged DNF's against.
Thanks for all the cache hides ALL7 you have been busy and thanks Rapidlywild for driving and a fun day.

Its been quite a while since I have been out for a big geocaching day and today was a good one. Made plans with FFLL#1 to head out towards Corin to make some finds towards the Hidden Creatures event and today was the first geo-expedition for the new Triton. Had a wonderful day with FFLL#1, found some puddles to mess up the white Triton and even seen some of the snow up at Corin.
Apologies for the copy/paste logs, all caches were found relatively quickly, and I think we ended the day with 2 DNFs (One which we attempted to find on 2 different occassions).
Thanks for the cache hide ALL7 and thanks FFLL#1 for an awesome day

With Dty73 leading the way we made a quick find then hurried back to the car. Kutgw
The aim for the day was to find the Corin Core Cache at Corin Dam with JohnnyBoyACT at 3 pm. There are a lot of new caches on the way to the dam. The missus and I set out at 10 am and did a drive by for lots of inds, actually I did the driving and the missus walked most of the way. She was nearly as quick as me in the car and when I had a bit of trouble finding a few, got well ahead at times. TFTCs.
Brrrr cold on the shady side... easy find though and quick. Just how I like them. TFTC
We have been a little side tracted lately and not been out in the wild caching. Been watching how many new caches have been published and we needed to get out and have some fun.
We set out early while it was still dark, bagged a swag of caches and finished in the dark, we made most of the day.
We invited Wilbert67 to join us and it turned out a great day out.
It felt like we had 4 seasons in one today, the temperature fluctuated, wind, snow and sunshine, the caches there were many variables in types and hides.
Thank you to all the COs for their effort on placements and to add to our enjoyment and Wilbert for your company.

A great long day of caching that had everything in it. From city to country, from high to low, from warm to cold. We managed to knock off quite a bit of trails, drive trip, beautiful views and vampire series being the main ones. In between a few very nice single traditionals. Loved driving around this part of Namadgi and seeing snow today was great. Thanks to all the cache owners for putting the caches out, the quality was surprisingly good! Thanks to J+J.AU for taking me along today.

An overcast/sunny day heading for two Tankengine caches (a multi & a trad up on the hill at Corin Dam including Fiztys tank). Having time to spare we also picked up some of the Beautiful View series. A favourite point on BV 37 for those found today from this series.

Day out in the ACT to get as many of the ALL7 power trail caches that I could collect in an afternoon. Ended up with about 60. Very scenic countryside to cache in. The odd dnf along the way, only spending a minute or two at gz, before moving on. A very pleasant day out. Thanks for the wonderful cache series, will be back to see and get more. Tftc
SecretSquirrel-BJC and I had a very pleasant day out caching today. Ticked off a few new drive-bys.
Living in NSW and working in the ACT has it's advantages and today was an example of that with a public holiday! Headed out with fitzy_1965 for the day that saw me picking up 72 smiley's and 2 DNF's.
Most caches were found quickly & easily. Certainly loved the views we saw along the way.

Got the call from StrangeTrousers – “want to go get some caches on the weekend?” my answer “yes please.” The destination and day was planned for ST to pick up some newly released cashes and a few others that were DNF’s whilst also letting me pick up some that he had already found.
Managed a rare sleep-in then up and ready for StrangeTrousers to pick me up in the Geo Mobile and head to the hills and an afternoon of caching. The weather was great for caching – not too hot or cold. We started the day with Beautiful View 40 to Beautiful View 30 that ST had not found yet then lunch and back on the parts of the trail I had not done, and those pesky DNF’s for ST last time he was out. Had a good laugh at the exercise I was getting as we pulled into spots and I ducked out quickly to try and quickly find the ones ST had previously claimed. Have to say I prefer caching these roads to when I used to in my youth ride my motor bike round them on a weekend frolic or other times when I had sweat and curses the hill sections peddling my road bike. Less likely to be roadkill and get to have a lot more fun enjoying the views caching.
Thanks ALL7 for putting the caches out and giving us a reason to have adventures.

15,882. Found on an epic day run with minniek today.
Gotta love an ACT only Public Holiday A last minute plan was hatched to head out and grab the new Beautiful View and Drive Trip caches, as well as a bunch of Vampire series and the odd bonus cache along the way. This was the next of many caches found today. As were most this was a quick drive-by find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and we were off to the next one.
Thanks ALL7 !! Awesome effort !

#4047 1st for today
It's a bit hard to keep up with this ever growing series. I returned today with CBRChic to get some assistance with the DNFs from a week ago & grab the new ones.
Well it was just lovely out today. The lack of an early start meant we missed the early coolness. But lots of muggles were heading up & down Corrin Rd today in search of less satisfying and ultimately hollow adventures. Not so for us. We started on what (until tonight) was the newest section of the "Beautiful View" trail at #40 and worked our way back down to the T-intersection. At that point we headed back to Lanyon for a lunch of sushi & coffee before heading back to Point Hut Xing where CC was put to work grabbing caches while I just drove. With an extra set of eyes I was able to find all the DNFs thereby putting the universe back in balance. But as hinted, the search for the Beautiful Views is incomplete, so another visit is on the cards soon.
Nice start of the day. A quick find.
Thanks to the COs: ALL7

Continuing this series after I had did a few the week before. This series is a simple drive-by in a picturesque area south of Canberra, very enjoyable. Tftc.
I met up with Darkside Dan, Blue Iris, Joolay, Akayam and Mr Damage at McDonalds Conder to pick up the Beautiful View series and a couple of others along the way today - a couple of times we had to drive a little further to be able to park safely. This was number 51 find for the day. The weather was perfect and we had lots of fun. Thanks for organsing Dan and tftc ALL7.
A plan was made, on the FB group, for a bunch of us (DarkSideDan, BlueIris, Mr Damage, Darzee Di, Joolay, and I to meet at a crappy fast food place in Condor, and come and and do a heap of caches down this way - mostly Beautiful View ones, and quite a few others as well ... a good time was had by all ... definitely a fun way to spend a nice sunny Winter day ...
TFTC - Logs are now rather generic, but the views stayed nice all day
Ok ... Maybe I was having too much fun? - I did a plank on a rock, and someone said that I was out of date and should do the owl so I did that too ...

Found with DarksideDan, Blue Iris, Akayam, Darzee Di and Mr Damage on a lovely day heading out towards Corin Forest chasing numbers. The weather was fabulous and we all had a great day. Thanks for getting us outside enjoying the day. TFTC
Nice quick find on a morning run down this way! Surprisingly, no fog here at all, just beautiful and sunny! Thanks A7.
[FTF} Woohoo, I was sitting talking to my mum at her house in Conder when this cache FTF popped up in my emails. I jumped in the car and headed out to get them all knowing that I was one of the closest geocachers in Canberra to them. I called Lisa and made arrangements to meet her on the way to the caches. Paring my car at Point Hut I jumped into Lisa's car and we were off. When we got to the first cache we found it fast and were pleased NOT to see a tankengine or ZQX or any other well known geocacher name in the logbook. It was new and unsigned. Fantastic we continued on to get all the FTF's along the road. What a great trip and thanks to Lisa who always makes geocaching fun. Great series All7 I really liked the quality of the caches and the great hiding spots that you placed the caches in.
*FTF* with Darksidedan. I was having a quiet evening, had even swapped to the PJ pants but the nice number of new caches had me back into jeans and shoes and off out the door! A phone call from DSD and he was just a few minutes behind me, so pulled into point hut crossing car park to wait the shortest of time and we continued on in my car.
With the rush out the door and not having taken the time to download list for offline it was going to be an interesting search with relying on the Samsung out of reception with the cache details not downloaded to access. But had the satellite image up and the little green trail of dots with their locations and it was going to have to be enough. Of course having no details of the caches meant no hint so made the search a bit more challenging and although a couple of caches did take a bit longer, generally the good coordinates and likely hides made it straight forward with the good torches in use tonight.
Was surprised at the not so slow traffic down this road tonight. The number of Roos by the start of Corin road was staggering and the driving was VERY slow with them about, and spotted the odd Wombat as well. After a bit of news this afternoon of the passing of an acquaintance I was quite fond of, heading out on the search was a welcomed distraction from the news. I didn't notice the cold tonight and was pleased to pick up 11 FTFs which was a good run for me. Had a good night thanks to DSD for the great company as always, and thank you ALL7 for the series and the caches.
