Spend 15 mins to find this one, nice hide. Forgot to bring a pen to sign.
My second visit here. I was thrown off by the coordinates on the first attempt, but the name made more sense the second time around. The magnet certainly helps in retrieving this one. Also, as someone who uses these items, I'd never thought of using this container before! Ingenious. Thanks for maintaining this one.
This one took us a while but we got there in the end. Managed to extract it with the help of a couple of local sticks. Nice hide
TFTC! My dad, mum and I were driving back home and decided to do a few caches on the way! We stopped here first and my dad spotted it! But we didnt think it was it at first! After a closer Look we decided it was the cache! It was a bit further in than expected so it took a while to get out after some hard work and perseverance we got it! Signed as Glen, Di and Grace on the 31-3-24
Relatively quick find, but needed a TOTT. The magnet makes it much easier too! TFTC
Had a little spare time while in the area so I went caching.Phone played up again on this cache but settled and the search started. Not what I was looking for but reading the description information helped. Glad i had my tools with me. A favourite from me.Thanks Mister Doctor
Had to stop trying to retrieve without the right tools, or it will be lost forever to everyone thanks for the cache!
I got it. But I really need to get some geotools so I make it easier on myself. Thanks to DavidNessie for the cache and Mister Doctor for keeping it alive.
No luck for me today. I was not able to get closer than about 5 metres but checked lots of spots without any success. My thanks to DavidNessie and Mister Doctor for placing and maintaining it.
We were in the vicinity of GZ for ages for 2 reasons. Firstly because we were searching in the wrong area and secondly muggles stopped close by and just sat in their car. I’m sure after 20 minutes we looked a tad suspicious, just standing around and waiting for them to do something, but at least it gave us time to read some logs. Finally they moved on and we changed tack on where to search next.
That did the trick and the sneaky little blighter was soon discovered. As others mentioned, we had a little trouble with the extraction, but all good and log signed and replaced.
Thank you Mister Doctor for keeping this cache in the game.

Yay to TanSaf and her arsenal of tools that I stupidly laughed at!!! Excellent tftc
How sneaky and inconspicuous this cache is! Had to come back a second time more mentally prepared to find this one and it payed off
Having looked for this twice before without success, I brought the family along today to help with the find. It was a lovely day and we were on our way home from Valley Reserve not far away.
With the extra help, it was a much quicker find, although it still took us a while before my 12yo spotted it. Luckily (but not coincidentally) we had the required tool with us to retrieve it.
Thanks for the cache DavidNessie. We hope you are resting peacefully.
Thanks Mister Doctor for adopting all these quality caches and keeping them in the game.

I’m defeated by this for the time being after loitering here for longer than I am comfortable with. I’ll come back for another look on my way back.
Not today. Another look but it must be too well hidden. I will have to come back another day with the rest of the family. With four of us we’ll have a much better chance.
Learner-offspring-at-uni caching time again.
After my appalling cache blindness just up the street, this was a surprisingly quick find. I had a TOTT to extract the container, and soon had the log signed and the sneaky little hide reset.
Fortunately few muggles around today to complicate the search.
Thanks for keeping this cache active Mister Doctor

Health check - cache in excellent condition. Added magnet to aid in retrieval. CITO.
Took a while but I found it. Will come back another time to bring something to try and get it out
Came back to this David Nessie cache after a previous DNF. Glad to have found it this time! RIP
Checked the obviously spot, widen the search and check less obvious ones, but unfortunately no luck for me today
TFTC, managed to findin the second place I looked. That was the most speediest process. Getting to the log provided and other challenge. Tried a makeshift TOTT to no avail so resorted to walk back to the car, and return with TOTT needed. Log signed and returned.
Time to finally log the last DavidNessie hide. It’s a beautiful spring morning and there’s a hole in my calendar grid.
I arrived with my trusty tweezers and with a little work the log was signed.
TFTC RIP David September 23, 2020

Arrived in a nearby park to checkout gmj3191's new e-bike and afterward wandered around to find this hide.
Geoff had already found this one before I arrived, thankfully, as I have tried to find this about four times previously. Now that I'm here again though, I'm sure I've looked here before.
Oh well, it's a smilie now

Out on my bike around the limits of my 15km perimeter.
A beautiful day for it.
Found pretty quickly but couldn't extract it. Returned to my car nearby where I was waiting for a catchup with BernieH at the edges of our 15km circles, and discovered that I had what I needed.
Waited for Bernie and then we went back and made a successful retrieval.
My tool didn't work but Bernie had something different.
Thanks David, and Rest In Peace.

Found without much issue, however getting it out was puzzling. Ended up using multiple extraction tools to get the top of the cache off so we could access the log inside. Replaced as found - TFTC
Well this one was a challenge! Found without much issue but none of our tools seemed to have any luck getting to it! Eventually Finding.Sarah managed to extract just the lid and log and we signed before replacing. TFTC
Another clever David Nessie hide. Took us a while - a bit wary of a spider web over potential hiding place. A satisfying conclusion to our COVID lockdown exercise.
This little cache is clever. It is very well hidden and it should have taken me much longer but I got lucky and looked in the right spot early in the search. A great hide on a busy main road. Love it.
TFTC. Second find of the day. Sneaky hide in the suburbs. Geodog enjoyed a sleep in the shade while we searched
2/3 today our bike riding with my geoson. We looked at the clue and found this one fairly quickly. We didn't have an extraction tool, but managed to wiggle the cached out with a pen. Luckily geoson's fingers are smaller than mine, and he was able to do the rest. TNLNSL, TFTC.

Having DNF'd this one back when it was missing, I was pretty keen on finding the opportunity to turn it into a smiley. That opportunity came today.
Parking nearby, I made my way straight to where I had decided on my last visit that it was probably meant to be. It turns out I was right, making this a very quick and easy find. Yay. TFTC

GPS kept taking me to a spot that made no sense. In the end gave up on it and just stared and thought about it. There it was right in front of me. tftc
The rain eventually stopped today and I still needed my daily cache so I dropped by this cache. I had searched unsuccessfully for this cache last week after finding a nearby cache. I searched all the wrong spots and was in a rush to get home for dinner so I gave up.
After reading the logs and thinking about the hint when I got home that day I decided where I should look, which wasn't anywhere I had looked last week. Today I parked at the end of Headingley Rd and wandered down to GZ. As I approached GZ I spotted the tell tale sign of the cache where I more or less decided it would be. I retrieved the cache and signed the log at 5:20 pm. TNLN. I used hand sanitiser before and after finding the cache.
Thanks to DavidNessie for creating this tricky cache and RIP....I read in some logs that DavidNessie passed away on 23 September 2020. Also, thanks to Mister Doctor for maintaining this cache in his memory.

Noticed this one has gone missing. I know where it should be (was planning to log it myself) so will replace soon on DavidNessie’s behalf
Hmmm... I spent a decent amount of time here, looking and lifting and poking. Found a skink that seemed to be living under a rock with a pet redback spider. My GPS and my geosenses kept bringing me back to a certain spot that looked like a perfect place to hide a tiny cache, but was exposed and empty.
I won't report a problem, as it might just be my failing (that is ENTIRELY possible!), but I fear this one may have gone AWOL. I will put it on my watch list...

*Cache find # 10817.*
Day four of dad's taxi service but today it was to Deakin Uni for the first official day.
So once I had dropped Sar off I had to make the most of my trip and find a few caches as I was heading for home so I headed over to this one.
This one did take me a couple of sweeps before I finally spotted something that gave me a bit of hope and with the use of the tool I had I found that it was indeed what I was looking for but it was in a long way, once I got it out far enough I was able to use it's attachment to retrieve it properly.

This one took us ages. When we eventually found it, it was kind of in the first area we looked at.
A bold hide that is really well done.
Thanks again DavidNessie.

Out with all 3 geo kids visiting the new eco friendly shopping Centre in Burwood East as our favourite shop from QLD has opened up a store here.
We decided that each kid would have a turn to find a cache on their own without anyone else helping. Geo kid 3 wanted to go fist. The others didn’t want to get out anyway as we parked a short walk away and it was hot outside.
Geo kid 3 reaches the GZ and just like that makes an immediate find. He was so excited.
How do kids do that? We were lucky with no muggles here and only a few cars drove past.
It was then time to retreat to the cool air of our air conditioned car.
Cache and log in good condition.
There was a tree with pretty pink flowers overhanging the walkway.
Thank you for the cache here DavidNessie

Spent 15 minutes reading pasr logs and 30 seconds actually searching. Great hide.
Out for a walk and to pick up some localish caches on this glorious sunny Melbourne day. The GPS had us a bit all over the place and we looked here there and everywhere and we were just about to give up when Mr Pooky with the help of the hint had a lightbulb moment and bingo he made the find. A very well hidden cache and a favourite from us which we don't give away too often as we have lots in the bank. TFTC and bringing us to this area.
After giving this a good solid crack TWICE yesterday and had no luck as I was racing against the sunset I came back today with the appropriate ‘tool’ just encase and bingo bango! About 20 minutes later there she was.
Very sneaky hide. TNLN
Thanks for the challenge DavidNessie

This was a surprisingly fast find considering I approached whilst looking at entirely the wrong elevation and just happened to spot something potentially suspicious when I glanced away for a moment from where I thought it would be.
A closer look proved fruitful, and given the somewhat exposed nature of GZ I made a quick retrieve before retreating a short distance to sign the log out of sight and visit a trackable.
Unfortunately I then had to wait out a passing muggle near GZ before moving back to replace the container as found, and it was as I did this that an odd sound reached my ears...
Foolishly standing there trying to work it out, I realised too late that what I was hearing was the rapid approach of hail drumming onto house and car roofs...
With the coast finally clear I had just managed to put the cache back before the first hail hit, and was pelted rather a lot (turns out hail hurts when you're hit in the head repeatedly...) as I tried to cross the 100m or so of open space back to my car, where I sat for the next 5-10 minutes watching the bonnet, windscreen and road turn white.
Thanks for the cache, DavidNessie.

It was a lot smaller than I thought, and I didn't even realise it was a geocache at first! Great hide.
So very sorry. I was sorting the photos on my phone during lock down and found a couple of days of caching that I had forgotten to log as well as a number of trackables. This was found with OzHockeyChick and Papi4506. Even though there were three of us, I doubt that we would have found this without a PAF. Thanks for hiding this sneaky cache for us to try and find. Apologies.
This one is a clever hide. All I can say is to trust your geo senses. Our coords put us some distance away to start but eventually settled. I don't know if we would have found this without a PAF. Thanks for the cache.

Searched and searched for ages. Our GPSrs kept pushing us back towards the car. Eventually a PAF put us at the right level and we soon spotted the sneaky blighter.
Cheers DavidNessie

Found it! Great hiding spot and of you don't have mini catchers with you, you will definitely need extraction tools. TFTC
Got super lucky and spotted it almost right away, also managed to get a grip and extract quite easily. A very productive little session on the way home from work. TFTC
Took a bit of finding as our gps was wavering a little and there were a lot of potential hiding spots, but we got there eventually. TFTC.
Quiet afternoon of school holidays with no one around the area. I think the freezing wind had kept everyone at home in front of a hot fire or heater, TV and a warm drink. My GPS spent the first couple on minutes pointing one way and then the other, then it decided North was actually South and did a 180 on me. Eventually as it settled it took me down to an region where I was able to move around along the path and up and down until I espied a tell tale sign.
Good hide DavidNessie and thanks for the Cache.
Good hide DavidNessie and thanks for the Cache.
Who ah - finally nemesis revealed itself, and did I over think this one and increase the looking time rate significantly! I did go armed with a TOTT which maybe I did not need - plenty of autumn debris made it tricky. Would have been good to start at the right level. Nice hide having said that.TFTC
Out and about with Mr X is my Mother’s Day treat this is a revisit for me as I had no joy last time with additional info we made the find eventually. It had been pushed back to far so we needed a tool to retract it. Quick sign off. Not many people around today so we are in luck Thanks for the cache
In my excitement ran to what I thought would be the spot. Then stopped and thought about it and retraced my steps. Soon had the cache in my hands and log signed. Great hiding spot. TFTC
Out and about last night with Trailstevo, collecting a few smiley faces in the area. We've not been out too much this past few week with manic work and personal lives, so it was nice to get out for a few short stomps. A variety of hides, some sneaky ones, some creative and some of the norm. Thanks for the fun and fresh air, much appreciated.
Some drivebys and short walks on a night out with Gunks. Plenty of muggles out enjoying the sunshine. Was able to grab some but not all. Got this one. TFTC
#1550 - 5pm
Wow! This took me ages!
It shouldn't have.
But it did.
In retrospect, I can understand why it took me so long.
In the end, I needed 2 tools for this cache, without which I wouldn't have discovered it nor got the cache in hand.
It is impressive how much 'natural' camo this had accumulated in the 5 weeks since it's last find. And I console myself that this was the reason I didn't find it in the very first place I looked... until much, much later.
At least I didn't squander my time here. I enjoyed a precious phone call to a distant love, who was as pleased as me when I finally found this cache.
Thanks for the fun hunt, DavidNessie.

Arriving at this cache I started close to Gz. Nothing obvious so I moved on. After a while we looked at the hint and read some logs. This helped us to narrow down the search area. There was one spot that was promising however I could not see anything. Q was more persistent and found the cache which I think we had moved slightly with our efforts. Thanks DavidNessie
GJMMelb
GJMMelb
Tougher than we thought, G' of GJMMelb and I spent quite some time looking for this one even though we were in the right place and had the right ideas about where it could be hidden, we struggled to spot it. The first likely spot for me turned out to be the home of a skink who was none pleased with my intrusion and scurried off. Eventually after expanding our search area (unnecessarily) we kept returning to the same area and at last I spotted something in a place we must have both checked more than once. Extraction was also tricky but at last the log was filled in and cache rehidden hopefully a little less tricky (but still safe from muggle eyes). TFTC
Our first cache logged in Australia! Took a while but found it and managed to log without tools tftc!
