After a great weekend at the Better Blokes Conference, I decided to head the extra hour drive to Canberra for the next couple of days. Of course this is for Geocaching. After finishing packing up the Conference which finished at 11am today, I headed into Canberra for lunch. Afterwards, I decided on heading out and going Geocaching. I chose to find the caches along, Old Cooma Rd plus a couple of others which were small detours. I had a couple of DNFs and a few NAs due to lack of parking, cache blindness and/or unsafe to stop due to traffic. I ended up with 19 finds today. TLC is required on a few of them. Then I headed off to check in at the motel. TB visit on all found caches. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTCs! A DNF on this one.

Coordinates we’re pointing me out passed the fence. So searched around the trees in the area according to the hint with no luck even after expanding our search

Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.

Another day and more caches needed to meet the personal challenges I’ve set. Decided on Old Cooma Road today the required caches were found with only one DNF. No issues here and the log was soon signed.

We stamped the logs as "The Mob" to save space in the logs - today there were 6 teams caching together: Team Crackers, The Drovers, Phetlern, Alansee, the lovely micaparamedic and myself.

Most of the cache finds were straight forward, yet a couple stumped us. A few were located where it was difficult to safely pull the car off of the road, but we made it work with some creative maneuvers.

2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip that was planned at the Clear Waters mega was able to occur.

Adelaide, Victoria, NSW and Canberra - a decent drive, filled with various caching activities including Adventure Labs.

Several days caching with the awesome Team Crackers, gorgeous The Drovers, fab Phetlern, cool Alansee, and the lovely micaparamedic.

We laughed, sang to a vast variety of songs and chatted - almost non-stop! [^] We piled into cars and had such a fun time. Despite the light showers, windy conditions at times, we also had sunny days to enjoy caching in.

A sincere thanks to ALL7 for placing these caches, including the enjoyable little series.

Now travelling alone as the other teams in our group for the past couple of days,
are either heading north to the mega, or chasing other caches.

We completed this trail, but had a few DNFs along the way.

After my first day back at work after the Christmas break, what better distraction than a few caches after work! I wanted 8 for a challenge I am doing , so this trail seemed like a reasonable place to start with Bobl27 driving! All caches found quickly and in accordance with the hints

Found on a big Saturday getting lots of caches; which included getting this series of caches. Driving through this area of the country was very lovely; with all of the old gum trees and the views of the mountains and Googong. Parking was occasionally a challenge, where I sometimes had to drive back the way we came to get caches out-of-order due to more appropriate parking on that side of the road or due to cars behind me. Neverthless, was a very fun drive. Each cache was a quick find. TFTC ALL7!

I had a few hours this afternoon to kill, so made my way from Queanbeyan to Royalla then to Burra before returning to Queanbeyan. A quick and easy find, thanks ALL7.

Tried to collect the remaining ones on Old Cooma Road but ran out of time before the end. Another time. TFTC and the series ALL7. The caches attempted were all in good condition.

BettyBoo3747 and I had a bit of a run down the Old Cooma Road in the rain, and when it eased a windy trip back through the suburbs.
With the rain easing, and only some small lakes to walk through, the series swam along easily.
Nothing like a guard rail cache to keep you dry in the search!

#15815. Day 14 of our 2 weeks holiday in the ACT and surrounds. We are staying at Carwoola.

We persevered with Plan A for the morning even though the heavens had opened during the night and it was still pouring when we left home. We gathered up most of the ones along Old Cooma Road although there were rivers running through all the road works along this section. After our pretty and scenic drive through the countryside we wended our way home tortuously through the suburbs collecting some caches for the Mapping Challenge. Collected 42 smilies for the day.

Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Apologies for the generic log but we have found too many to compose individual logs. Many thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, which have been exceptional in their maintenance I have had only 1 dnf and that was only because I was not going to make a tree climb without seeing where the cache was. The vast majority of caches have had very good coordinates. Along with useful hints. TFTC

Attending the Queanbeyan Clear Waters mega event, this was a day packed with hikes and power trails. Our team "LUCKY9" started off the day walking around Googong Dam targeting the Queen geocache trail, before then heading south through Royalla and visiting Michelago, and then heading north via Burra. A massive day caching indeed in great weather.

A drive along Old Cooma Road with intermittent roadworks and construction. This geocache didn't take long to find, and the cache and contents were in good shape. Thanks ALL7.

Day 2 of the Mega and Mrs Snakepiters was out caching with Di Morgan, and Happy Feet, while I attended the FREE seminars in camp . Although Di was safely put in the rear booster seat for her protection today, she still managed to fall. If this is going to be a daily caching activity we will have to start capturing the event. Working down the Old Cooma Road as there are still plently of caches non QBN/CAN cachers have not found

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.

This morning we were out with Di Morgan and Snakepittes. It was a great opportunity to grab some finds while on the way out along Cooma Road and retuning via the Monaro Highway. Had some fun and laughs along the way, while finding a number or good finds. We signed all the logs as DISH.

Headed down to Queanbeyan for the Clear Waters Mega event over Easter with steeba. We set ourselves a goal of bolstering our find count by doing some of the numerous powertrails that dot the surrounding area.

Spent some time today out caching with ilook4geo, while we were camping in the Showground. We did a series of caches along some roads and were happy with the haul we pulled in. Each log had both names noted on it and the container was put back where it had been found before we moved on to the next one. Our thanks go to ALL7 for adding these caches to the geocaching game.

Out and about today with goingplaces2 and picking up a few caches while camping at the showgrounds for the mega season. No problem finding this cache. Log signed, all OK. TFTC.

A change of plans this morning, headed for a paddle on Googong Dam with ACA, but with the wind picking up, a morning of local caches was a new plan. TFTC

I went today just to check out the road but stopped where I found good parking spots and found a handful. But in the end it was too windy to be out and about with lots of falling branches. I will come back shortly and do some more. TFTC

An awesome day out and about picking up geocaches with FFLL#1 was planned. Fortunately for us, the rain stayed away however the dust storm had rolled into town. We had a couple trails we had our eyes on to get completed, which we finished nice and quickly, before moving onto a much wanted puzzle cache across the ACT and then off for some more trail caches. All in all, finished up with 64 finds for the day so quite a successful day

Apologies for generic logs, we spent the day collecting a number of finds, but we also collected a whole heap of glass bottles, plastic bottles and cans from the side of the road... The Ute tray has quite a stack to sort through lol.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to head out geocaching if the weather cleared. We thought that we would head to this area to finish off Old Cooma and Kelly Road, and make a start on the caches along Uriarra Road.
The weather stayed fine and we had some great views of the dust storm. Another sucessful geomission with plenty of laughs, thanks again RW for another good day out.

My First of a 9 day caching road-trip holiday I headed further South than usual, with the goal of finding as many caches as possible (and a few select ones for my stats). I'm just glad the temperature hasn't reached the highs yet.
Lots of dead whildlife scattered along the country roads, with the worst right near gz, I had to make the log duties as quick as possible to avoid the stench.

I found a total of 104 today.

Thank goodness for the hint and that we didn't need to follow the coordinates that are over a nasty barb-wire fence in the paddock. Where the coordinates actually are can be seen on Google maps. My GPS had the coordinates about twelve metres out, and preferred the alternative: S35 28.937 E149 09.807 TFTC ALL7.
