We had planned on getting a few caches on the way to Mackay from Townsville today but the recent rain made impossible for us to pull over. Thankfully this one was a success. TFTC

swung in here on way to another place quick find was a bit different for this type of sight two logs full up put in new sheet and placed old and new log in cliplock bag then in place again tftc

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 104. Proserpine to Mackay. After the last days drive along the Bruce Highway was mostly road works, this section had hardly any. I managed quite a few caches before arriving in Mackay. I then headed out for an afternoon caching around the northern beaches and suburbs. Lots of great areas visited today.

This was another standard location with the cache in a slightly non standard hide. When the main spot did not yield the cache, moving further along gave me the find.

The cache wasn't in the first place I looked, but it would get more protection if it was, as theses micro caches rust and leak water into them, and they work best in protected places. TFTC geocaching_mackay.

Heading north for the Townsville Mega, taking 5 days and finding caches along the way. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches to show us more of your local area.

Caching today from Mackay to Bowen and doing caches along the way. Found the cache after a search and signed the log. TFTC

TFTC. Making our way north for the Townsville Mega. We left Mackay this morning heading for our overnight stop in Bowen. A lovely day for a drive. Along the way we stopped to find the odd cache, we do not have a plan to target any.

Today’s plan was to make my way from Mackay and arrive in Townsville but nightfall. Caching along the way and grabbing a few important to me caches, lol. It is just a 3.5 hr drive normally however this drive will take me all day and some. I had to be ready for work in the morning so it was a day of find what I could. I am sorry if I did not write a note below as some caches stood out and others I just do not remember. I signed the log and replaced the cache as I found it. Thanks for placing it here.

Today we thought we would head out to try and log a FTF and the Adventure Lab point at The Leap. Of course we also had to find all the other caches we passed on our route as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, but missed out on a couple because they didn't pop up on our (stupid) Drive Smart until we were heading somewhere else..

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache pretty close to where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.

Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.

Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.

Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.

Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, geocaching_mackay.

During our great roadtrip through Australia we went from Cape Hillsborough to Hervey Bay today and found a lot of amazing caches along the route. This was one of them.
