An awesome BBQ and a nice introduction to a wonderful geocaching group of friends.
Now that I am home in Busselton WA, I can log the caches I found with my sister (pood) and her wonderful Geocaching friends.
Thanks for letting me have a wonderful time, I have Downs Syndrome and I am enjoying my new geocaching hobby - its heaps of fun.

Such a great event. Awesome food cooked by my amazing wife, with a little help from her friends. She’s so stubborn, planning and cooking for 400+ people by herself, before finally giving in and allowing @GemmaSistemma help open the rolls and @Jaktembo help with the coleslaw and shredding the meat ... only after shed cooked 50kg of beef brisket. Who does such things? Takes on a mammoth task that most of us think is impossible, and somehow manages to pull it off?
Imagine what life is like living with someone like that. Life is always an adventure, which is why geocaching is the perfect hobby for us
It was great seeing so many happy, likeminded people.

So I was here, catching up with many people I hadn't seen all year. It certainly was lovely. Thank you for putting it on.

These BBQ's are always a highlight of our mega weekends and this one was no exception. The line was long and the food was great. We stopped to chat to whoever would listen. It was a great end to a very long day and we were well and truly ready for bed by the time it was over.

Attended the event with Ingabo, Peter-tvm and Sivun after a long cachingsday out in Melbourne. Thanks for the event and the BBQ. Very good food.

The Bromance of Crookedpete, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah were off to Melbourne for a long weekend road trip from Brisbane, with the main aim of attending the Parkville Mega as well as collecting a number of caches on our rather lengthy hit list. While Swellerfungus played on a lab cache with a new found geo-buddy, Crookedpete and I wandered around the area and collecting a few more caches around the area and we made it back just in time for the start of the event. Sadly our itinerary did not allow us to stay to partake of the BBQ, with plenty of caches still to find before the end of the day. TFTC

After a few hours socialising, lab caching and path tag swapping, we just managed to be here for the start of this event. Boy those sausages smelt good, unfortunately none for us - caching calls! Thanks for the event.

In Melbourne for the Parkville Event. Today was a day for Labs and getting a head start on the puzzles and challenges series. Huge amount of walking completed which is good for the old step count.

After all that walking I had to take a nap to recover! Then more chatting and then the evening meal. Well done to all concerned on a great event.

We had another great evening of food,fun and friendship. A Mega Event wouldn’t be complete without the evening events to continue the social side of the whole experience. The awards ceremony was also a great delight and celebration of the achievements of several local heroes of Geocaching in Victoria. It gets better each year. Thanks to all the organisers.

This was a very busy event with a giant line snaking around the mega site. We were already planning to eat elsewhere so we caught up with some friends and then headed out for dinner.
Probably a better way needs to occur when dealing with such a large group of people, staggering serving times, as some like to eat later or earlier might work.
We laughed and chatted with mates in line and then left everyone to their snack.

I had my boys Tyler and Cooper with me today as we attended the Parkville Mega. We attended the events and spent the day on our bikes with Jacko83 and perpetuallylost doing some of the caches of the GeoArt.
What a perfect day for a ride and to catch up with caching friends.

Made a mistake and ate an early dinner at Laksa king on the recommendation of a fellow cachers. Whew. Arrived at BBQ stuffed but good to catch up after a day's caching. The team lucked out with the weather for the bbq. Everyone seemed to be happy with the food being churned out. Well done.

Firstly a huge thanks to all who were involved in creating our meal, it was lovely.
We so enjoyed the company and the food, not so much the cold wind but if you positioned yourself correctly you could manage to be protected from most of it. LOL. So wish we could give you a favourite.

If only I'd been reading my email! Got to the front of the queue to discover I did not have the requisite attire, so dashed inside, acquired a paper wristband, and dashed outside again, weaving my way through the crowds. Luckily, I was let back into my spot, or at least a bit of the way back and managed to score my food. TFTC!

Thank you at all those involved in the organisation, preparation and serving of our dinner tonight. It was lovely sitting down with new friends - eating yummy food. My thanks to everyone and anyone who thought of me for the Hall of Fame induction. I was humbled to be in the presence of others in the audience and of course others in the Hall.

My past friend Dak was also inducted with Respect by Eric. Who said there can’t be alliances. Yes, he’d be on 100,000 now!!

Spin Doc Bob was also inducted with style. I participated with the XOE series and indeed just a couple of weeks ago found his ammo can in the shadow of the radio telescope dish at Tidbinbilla. Respect.

Another enjoyable Geocaching BBQ. The beef rolls were superb and were my great reward after a busy day volunteering, geocaching and chatting to friends.

We were there at 6:00 PM.
A massive undertaking to feed such a big group and then work out where to eat it out of the wind. We were seated in a big table full of our friends and had a great time recounting the funny things that happened during the day. Didn't stay for the film as we had to get back for some more entertainment back at our lodgings.

Met a lot of new people, made some new friends, and overall enjoying my stay down under!

After a long day of walking we were thankful to sit and chat to our caching friends, as well as meeting some new ones. The rolls went down a treat, and we also bought a sausage each for Oxfam. Thank you Geocaching Victoria & Sponsors for another successful event.

Attended with all four Fergzters for the evening meal. A great catch up with lots of people to compare notes on the days events. We did duck out early as the kids were absolutely exhausted. Well done to GeocachingVictoria. Another great event!

We were able to stay this year for the BBQ which didn't disappoint. The food was great with fresh buns and well cooked meat, we even had a sausage as well. More chatting done and meeting up with those who had been out and about for the day and came back for the BBQ.

Attended on Friday night whilst at Mega

A quick stop over on the way home from work here in part 2 of my mega visit to find a few more of the lab caches and to drop in on the BBQ event. Time was limited and the line was long so I didn't add to it but thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time to feed so many. A great achievement and well received by the looks of all the happy chatting faces.

After a full day of caching this one was a quick stop for dinner before continuing on the lab caches. Thanks!

Attended this well catered for event, along with many others. We enjoyed the food on offer and talked a lot to other cachers as well. There is always so much to learn when chatting to fellow cachers as everyone's experience is different.
