Took a while searching, then I saw the obvious spot which I had thought was too risky. Turns out it's the spot. loads of fun getting there. Don't take the kids though! Left a Trackable for someone to move on.

Day 3,
Event day and walk to the Hell. After the Hell hole walk the group shrunk down to better size. The walk was a lot quicker. The cache was found all good.

After visiting the local Post Office, we followed the pink strings and rock hopped our way to the Crow. Definitely room for only two small girls at GZ. Had my heart beating out of my chest at times watching them. Log signed and no one died. Thank you for the fun

On our return from the hell hole, a few of us thought we had enough fuel in our tanks to go down and grab two more caches. We found the letterbox cache first and were very thankful for the baling twine that guided us on our journey today.
On arrival at GZ the views were lovely, but what a dangerous hiding spot, especially when someone slipped down into the person who had just retrieved it...thank goodness for the tree at GZ, it saved the day and a potential disaster.

Thank you Brother Colin for bringing us up to this awesome view, a favourite point from me

After attending the Bugs Decent into Hell experience a group of us decided it wasn’t enough so off for some more caching on the other side of the gorge?? (Crinkly contour???) to The Crow, via an out of the way Post Office. The minor trail was marked mostly with pink string and a wee bit of rock hopping was required. At the crow Willis007 sooooo wanted a closer look at the edge & visited FlutterbySquishy at the hide .
After signing the log, it was an easy ascent out of the track & the safety of my rather large Gatorade.
A Fav Point, thanks Brother Colin.

After a long morning walking around this part of the ridge, we headed to gz to visit A Crow. More slipping and sliding, perhaps a little more sliding than we'd like, but we managed to find the cache and sign our names in the log without anyone going over the edge ... just!
Thanks Brother Colin for bringing us here, it is a beautiful spot.

Have tried coming down this way before but tracks we started at the wrong spot, today we realised there’s a geocache here so we were determined ️

Today's mission... Hell Hole! What a beautiful spot. Grateful to have company today as Wayn0 and I made our way through the undergrowth. After coming across a large danger noodle crossing the road nearby, my caution-o-meter was on high though it wasn't gonna stop me getting to GZ. We followed the pink markers to the letterbox and then went cross country directly to the Crow. With a rough idea of what we were searching for we kept our eyes peeled but we'd kept ourselves too high so had to scramble down a little definitely earning the DT! Wayn0 spotted the cool cache guardian but took another few moments to locate the cache itself. After a few photos and then prepped for the return journey. We were contemplating our options then I spotted pink ribbons! They really do go all the way to GZ! TFTC - FP Smile

We trekked to this one after the nearby letterbox cache. We loved the cache guardian Smile It was nice here today and cooler than expected under the tree canopy. Thanks for placing.
Cheers

After finding the letterbox we continued on down the creek bed following the pink tape. There was some water in the creek but not enough that we couldn’t navigate around it. We came out the end and noted the impressive views from the top of the falls. We spotted the cache guardian and located the cache, young Davs did the job of retrieving as he has longer arms than me! Signed log and replaced as found then we followed the string back to the top, making sure not to lose sight of it this time!

On arriving at GZ, I had in my mind that it was a t4 cache and looked nervously around. Got close to giving up before I spotted something in a little more of a precarious spot. Dislodged a rock, and watched it roll to the edge, and then over. Silence, more silence, how high is this cliff? Finally, I hear a crash. Certainly a deadly drop! I had used up some adrenalin earlier in the afternoon with a tree climb - this one depleted my stores Smile

While in the area exploring some paths that I had never been on before I found myself at another well themed cache container.

Chamad and I decided to head to Toowoomba from Brisbane, and pick up an assortment of caches along the way. Some caches were for the date published challenge, some for the 360 degree challenge, some for the DT matrix, some because they were oldies, and some because they are already fulfilled challenges. And some because, well, you never walk over a cache.

Somewhere in the middle of Toowoomba, my car broke down, and our plans were thrown into chaos. RACQ to the rescue, and we were back to caching, albeit an hour behind schedule. Our luck continued into the afternoon as a storm rolled over, the temperature dropped, drizzle gave way to heavy rain and wind, and our commitment to the greater cause was traded in for some warm food and the safety of the car.

Still, a fantastic day with great company, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

If only I knew when setting out to find this cache that it would be more like a T10. Well, the cache description DOES make it clear, but I struggle with attention to detail, and this is all my fault. But it made the journey oh so worth it.

After finding the letterbox, we came down here. I think we took the wrong path - we went high, and should have picked our way along the creek instead. After the surroundings cleared, I could see just how high we were. Very high. Too high. It was at that moment that the soil beneath my feet gave way and I started surfing my way down the very steep slope. I think I muttered things under my breath that rhymes with chit and duck. Hugging a tree, I managed to right myself. But I did take myself right down to safety and reassess the approach. The look on chamad's face told me that was a close call.

The GPS was bouncing a lot and we took our time to carefully pick our way up and down the hill until we saw something that did not belong. And soon after, something else that did not belong! Oh my, that is fantastic (and steep! Holy chit! Duck!). I've never been more glad to find a cache. Safely arriving back at the geomobile, I counted my luck stars. And checked my dacks.

TFTC and TB visit
Oh yeah, and have a FP for the amazing adventure, you deserve it!

A late night call to OBC and a plan was set to do some target caching on an assortment of caches in Toowoomba. An early morning start on a fresh, wet morning saw us leaving and heading west then a backseat surprise from mini obc was my wake up, lol. The targets were some oldies, some letterboxes, some for DT matrix, a FTF, a couple of puzzles and the odd trad as we stepped over it. It is always a fun day and an adventure when we get together and today was no different. We did have a little hiccup when we thought we were going to be stranded in Toowoomba and our caching day brought to a sudden stop. But a quick call to RACQ and a quick fix and we were soon on our way again. The list got shortened but then it got added to in other ways. A passing storm and wind gusts did see us having to abandon a few targets but we did make up for it on the way home. An awesome day with lots of laughs and some brave adventures.

I will admit I have a preference to letterbox caches, there is just something about them that makes them exciting and draws you in. so after completing the previous letterbox we were off to this one: “hmm , how hard could it be its only 100 mtrs away”, famous and hopefully not last words. The track we took seemed nice enough but then started to go crazy, up down slipt, then come back. We were gingerly walking along when we reached 8 mtrs from GZ and that put us off the cliff, hmmm. While OBC was a little higher than me, a sudden move and she was sliding down to meet. I will admit this didn't look like it was going to end well for a moment.
A search around in several spots brought up nothing then I spied something that didn’t look like leaves, how funny and what nice work, I smiled. Then I noticed something else that seemed not right and sure enough a cache soon appeared. OH YEAH, a happy moment and then the anxiety levels did drop for my buddies. Back to terra firma and it was decided to walk the creek back to the main trail out, we all agreed, lol.
A couple of scary moments were had on this walk, so I would strongly suggest keeping your wits about you when it is wet up here. I did enjoy the walk just the same and the views are incredible, that view down to the bottom of the falls is just crazy.
With log signed and the cache replaced as found, we were off to the next on our list.
Thank you for placing this one here for us to enjoy, it gets a favourite point for the adventure and the views, thanks.

**# 25638** Found on our 2019 winter escape trip to Qld with Mrs Roosta. Wink
A perfect Spring day for another drive around the countryside while at Toowoomba.
Hardly any muggles around and mostly good safe hides. Wink
Excellent views here too and actually I did have some ph/data signal at GZ.
And now for the trek back up the track again, thanks for the pink string.
Thanks for the cache Brother Colin,

I have clocked up some kilometers over the past few weeks and this trip had to happen. When you live in the south Burnett and required to attend the Toowoomba base for a specialist follow up then move to an area away from the catchment of the Toowoomba Base much easier to drive back then join the Que again at a new hospital.

Well in the area and had some company so another walk in this part of the reserve on the task list today. I found the walk in and out for the two in this area very tiring and had to stop and have rest breaks. Wow what a few and a long fall to the bottom. In my opinion not one to do on your own. Had phone signal at the cache, only 1 bar, but signal never the less.

After completing the nearby letter box cache we continued on to this cache. We were a lot higher than we needed to be and after reading some previous logs we back tracked to a lower level and found it. About 10m difference with the GPS.

22-Jun-19
This one took us awhile to find. I went way higher than I needed to be. CDAH55 found it in a place he had already looked on the 2nd sweep. Co coordinates for us were 10m out.

Just enough water in the creek today to make some of the rocks slippery. No fog this morning, so the view from the falls was extensive.

I spotted the Crow no worries and very carefully made my way towards it. I had tried to stay a bit further from the drop. Five points of contact and a slow and careful approach and exit here. Big Grin

Eskies5 and I hatched a plan to grab this one after school today because it ticked this box and that box and a few others too. We had already grabbed the nearby letterbox on a previous visit so after meeting up at the car we headed down the hill towards this one. After a little discussion at the intersection we continued on until we spotted the perfect vantage point for a beautiful afternoon view. Eskies5 then spotted the guardian and we headed over to GZ, happily Eskies5 offered to do the retrieval of this one. Happily for me, maybe not so much for her. After a short scramble she had retrieved the cache and logged our names. All returned back to where it belonged we headed back out to the cars. A 40 minute round trip from car to car for us today. A great view has earnt a FP from me. TFTC Brother Colin

Being one of the last unfound caches in town Kestal and I finally got around to planning a day to find it...and for several reasons today was the day. Having visited the area previously for the letterbox we knew where the path was and headed on down out of the chilly breeze...a brief stop at the intersection deciding which way to go until logic prevailed and we continued on. At the top of the falls we had a little peek over and then discovered Kestal's app had frozen with 20m to go and the arrow pointing in a direction I did NOT want to be going. Did I mention half way down I realised I had forgotten mine? Yes I know the cache description said GPSr recommended but we both had the cache safely saved offline!!! [xx(] What to do?? We looked both ways speculating what would make a likely hide when with much relief I spotted the cache guardian in the distance. Really BC!! Ever so cautiously we made our way up and over to GZ. Once we spotted the hide (REALLY BC!!), for once I wished I was the shorter one as I felt obliged to make the retrieval as the smaller statured one's legs would have struggled. Well...as you can see I got the log signed and survived to tell the tale. Super happy to get back to the top of the falls. TFTC Brother Colin.

Such a lovely saunter along the creek to this one, Raffy the geo-pup was enjoying it rather too much, so when we got close to GZ and the cliff, we had to make a quick grab for her collar and return her to the safety of the lead attached to mum Goldielover. Seeing how close Raffy had come to disaster, the rest of us had a quick vote and decided Seff would be the ideal candidate to grab this one for us while we enjoyed the views and supervised. TFTC BC, a FP from me for the walk along the creek, the cache spot and guardian.

Out caching today with SeffnJarah, Swellerfungus, Goldielover, Stairman1 and JeznDez and of course, Raffy the most obedient, happy go lucky, geo-retriever.

Having found the nearby letterbox, the highlight for the day was the walk down the creek to the waterfall. Being the last to arrive at the waterfall and cliff face, I was pelased to see Seff had managed to find this one over near the edge. Raffy was pretty keen to investigate as well, much to Goldielover;s consternation.

A nice romp uphill back to the car.

Many thanks BC

Having discovered the nearby letterbox cache, we continued our exploration following the nana's knitting along the creek bed. So glad Oma didn't send any rain our way, it would be a quick waterslide straight over the top of the cliff!

At GZ the rest of the crew miraculously started pottering around in back packs, tying shoes, refiling water bottles etc - anything other than venturing towards the cliff edge to retrieve the cache. Although Raffy the geohound was keen to leap into the abyss, it was left to me to carefully slither down to the cache hide and precariously retrieve the logbook for signing. TFTC

Well I don't think I have ever walked a track with so many markers. WOW. Anyone getting lost on this track should simply never walk alone! Hahah.
I loved the walk along the creek here, and the views are stunning A favourite point from me. We let our dependable expendable (seffhnjarah) do the honours, and soon the cache was in hand.
A much simpler walk out, albeit all uphill. A great little walk. Thanks for bringing us here.

Coming to town this looked interesting and with the letter box on the way we headed over. An easily marked track to start and then into the creek. Sure glad it was not flowing. It must be a sight after a heavy storm. Surprising we got a call at the head of the falls so the towers must of been having a good day but it delayed our search.
We saw a likely sign and then the tell tale of the hide. No problems getting to the log if wet would have been another story. TFTC

Continuing the stroll along the rocky creek bed following the pink string all was going quite well until the edge appeared - oh my goodness. Luckily the GPS wanted me to go a slightly different direction but it wasn't much better!!! Carefully crawling along I spotted something that looked what I was looking for ..... not quite .... ah, there it is. More very careful scrambling to retrieve cache, sign log, replace and get back to safer ground! Definitely earns its terrain rating.

Today, scratches and I headed out to find a few caches in and around HellHole.
Some of these caches help both of us with our D/T grid.
WOW, so close to the edge.
Found after a short search.
Thanks for the cache.

T-Tech and I participated in the Rural Safari event at Crows Nest this weekend, and our plan for today was to head south to Toowoomba and grab as many as possible of the new caches that have been published since I was last here Razz

With a couple of hours left in the day we decided there was time to take the walk down to Hellhole and grab these two caches before heading back to Brisbane. We had no trouble getting started, and made our way down to the creek easily enough. It took way longer than it should have to find the Letterbox, but there was still enough time to continue on to see A Crow. The track down the creek was easily negotiated, although I would think after some rain it'd be pretty hair-raising! But that was nothing compared to the last 15 or so metres. Wow!

And again, Just wow, is that ever a steep drop Surprised We were exceedingly cautious crawling around up here, but eventually T-Tech was in the right spot to see the tethered cache, and then he discovered A Crow. Wonder if I have seen him before, somewhere??? Up an Egg-celent tree, I think Wink Log signed, and we began the slog back up to the car, glad that the sun was still above the horizon [^] TFTC, BC.

Wow wow wow! Easy favourite point here. The trail got better and better as we headed along, and suddenly we were on the edge. Our birdy friend was spotted and I'm glad the cache was seen immediately, before any unnecessary scrambling. One of our crew would not come anywhere near GZ, another a few meters back, and I went all the way. Super cool execution. Gotta say I was glad to be a few meters away from GZ again afterwards!
Big Grin Thanks heaps, Brother Colin. Another great memory!

Dad told me to wait near GZ so i did not slip down the slope. Great view

17-Jun-18
After finding the letterbox. Willpunkey and i backtracked a little and then set off for this one. The terrain was ok right until the end where there is a steep slope ending in a cliff. my phone was telling me to look further up the slope, which is actually probably more dangerous then sticking close to the cliff. After nearly giving up a look at the title gave me an idea and i spotted it from a few metres away. TFTC but this is certainly a risky one given the drop off. Please be carefull.

Dropped one TB and took another

Wow! Stunning views along this walk. Loved it. We haven't ventured this path before today - didn't realise it was here. Thanks for showing us.

Bit of a challenge getting here to GZ but we like a challenge. Love the crow. He showed us where to look. And an FTF for us too. (Found at 11.40am)
What luck to have this cache published when we are looking for an 'avian' cache to drop a TB off.

Thanks heaps Brother Colin. A well deserved Fav Point from us.
