Another challenging solve. Today I also found the hide challenging as I wasnt sure I should climb the fence. But it was obvious where it should be. TFTC.
We were out and about on a lazy Sunday afternoon, keeping a close eye on the sky as the weather didnt really know what it wanted to do, picking up a few puzzle caches that have been sitting in the solved pile for a while. Each cache container was found easily enough and we thoroughly enjoyed the walks to the ones that required a stroll, and of course we signed our names in the log books of each and every one.
A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY NINETEEN: A couple of nights camped at Ettamogah Pub, so time to explore Albury/Wodonga.The first time I looked at this puzzle, I think I went cross-eyed for a week. Thankfully I managed to solve it ok. Today (under the watchful eyes of some local bovines) we were finally able to convert it to a smiley. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, yamutha ~~
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 19: After a warm night camping at the Ettamogah Pub, we set off for a day of caching in Albury. We had this one solved from a previous visit but didnt have a way in. Today we tried a combination of things and made it to GZ and found a rather tiny container for out here. Said hello to a few of the locals along the way. They made room for us.Thanks yamutha for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Why not check out the geocaching lists available on the [Geocaching Victoria Website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/). There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
Day 2 of our Canberra (plus 3) Invasion of Albury. It was a beautiful sunny day as we set out in search of presolved caches. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches that enticed us down here. Cache found and log signed as CIA or CAI.
Albury Invasion trip Day 2. After panning and months of puzzle solving it is finally time to head to Albury Wodonga for a long weekend visit. I was with Kitty Katch, FufacesLL and Joolay for this trip, but I also spent time with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n due to space in cars. Logs for the weekend were signed CIA23 to save space. Today was a day of driving all up and down and across back and forth around Albury trying to visit as many of the Puzzle locations we have solved. Some were nice walks some just roadside finds, but there was a huge variety of hides and some were very challenging, even if they were in 'traditional' locations. We did fail to find a few, but I put that down to some really good hides that just plain beat us. There were a few puzzle highlights but matching the puzzle to the hide on the day was a little difficult, so I will just thank all the hider's for their hard work and providing the opportunity to spend a fun day. There are still more caches to be found so we have another day planned for tomorrow and will probably have to come back again one day. Thanks for the cache yamutha44829.18 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Blue Switch 2023 A#524**Albida**
fitzy_1965 and I headed towards Albury/Wodonga last night. We camped at the Ettamogah Pub before joining the rest of our friends in Albury today.A great day was had with us picking up lots of trads, multi's and pre-solved puzzles with the day ending in an event in the heart of Albury and a nice hotel room thanks to a Red Balloon voucher. The logs were primarily signed as CIA (Canberra Invasion Albury) unless otherwise stated.
We joined in on the Canberra Albury Invasion or CAI fun this long weekend. After lots of puzzle solving and planning the time had come for a four day weekend of geocache hunting and hiking in and around the Albury/Wodonga area. We could not have picked a better weekend, we had great weather and avenged a couple of DNF's for us. Apologies for the generic log, thank you to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches in this area, and for giving us a reason to come down the highway and visit this lovely area. Thanks for the hide and puzzle yamutha
Apologies for the generic logs but we had lots of headaches solving them and lots of fun finding them. Its a perfect weekend to get out of town. Decided Albury was the place to go. Lots of lovely puzzles that we have spent time as a group working through now its time to venture down and pick up.Signing as CIA-Canberra Invasion of Albury. Thanks for getting me out and about yamutha
Albury TripTime for an Aussie road trip with Joolay, albida33 and FurfacesLL plus others from the Canberra puzzling team. Signed as CAI Canberra Albury Invasion). Thanks for the hide yamutha
33,766. Found with Team CIA23 - Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023.Our caching group has been eyeing off the Albury/Wodonga area for quite some time. After many months of hard work we had solved nearly all the area's puzzles, so we set a date and headed on down. CIA23 comprised of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, FurfacesLL, Tankengine, dty73, Sol de lune, LuckyL10n, albida33, Aykayem, smittengranny and myself. For part of one day we were joined by local Cacher Happy Feet 1. What a great weekend of caching with such a fun group of people. An event on the Saturday night also helped make the trip memorable. Quick find once at GZ. Signed the log as CIA23, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list. Thanks yamutha !! One of many of your caches we were lucky enough to find. We appreciate your contribution to Geocaching and our enjoyment.
#18868; Day 2 of the Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023 weekend, which had been preceded by much head scratching and puzzle solving to prepare. Our merry band comprised of Sol de lune, albida33, Smittengranny, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, Barb2e and isopeda, along with yours truly, were joined by dty, tankengine, aykayem, minniek and fitzy_65 for a day of action today. Started the day to the north of town and then worked our way south, east and west as we gathered caches. Some finds were difficult as were some of the puzzles and some were easier. Some we didn't find at all! All up 103 finds, one event at the end of the day and nine DNFs for me today. Logs were again signed CIA23. Most of the caches we found were in good order. Apologies for the generic logs, but by the end of the day, like the body, the mind was slowing down as well! Thanks to all of the cache owners for helping make a great weekend for our Canberra caching fraternity. TFTC yamutha
Day 2 of the Canberra invasion weekend of Albury. Being ex an Canberran, I headed up to join in the fun of the weekend with LuckyL10n, Albida33, fitzy_1965, minniek, tankengine, dty73, Joolay, KittyKatch, Smittengranny, Isopeda, Barbe2e and FFLL. Today we started to the north of Albury and headed towards the CBD, grabbing caches on both sides of the freeway as we went. Lots of pre solved puzzles, along with a number of traditionals, were found during the day. Unfortunately we had a few DNF's as well. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches...and the fun we had over the weekend. Logs were signed CIA (Canberra Invasion Albury)...
Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73 and CIA23 cachers on a quick Albury invasion! Thanks yamutha!
Day 2 of our Albury Trip. For the last few weeks a group of us sat together and solved lots of puzzles for this weekend. Today, SmittenGranny, barb2e, Kittykatch, albida33, FurfacesLL, Joolay, Sol de Lune, LuckyL1On, MinnieK, Fitzy_65, Tankengine, DTY73, Aykayem and me went around Albury and found puzzles, multies, trads, ALs and a virtual etc. To save log space we are signing as CIA (aka Canberra invasion of Albury). The puzzles were all quite interesting, the hides sometimes hard. Sorry for the generic logs. Caching in the group makes logging hard. TFTC
Thought we would spend our Sunday picking up some unloved yamutha caches that have been on the solved pile for way too long...
I couldn't get this puzzle to work for me no matter how hard I tried, Mrs poolpool looked over my shoulder and it worked for her, go figure...
A lovely walk to GZ, lucky we did not see the same wriggly stick Mrs poolpool seen on her last visit to this area searching for another yamutha cache, TFTC yamutha

A 2 day trip with ZQX to Albury and Wagga Wagga, focusing on some higher D/T caches. After an approx 10km wander up, over and around NailCan Hill, we called in at the motel for a snooze before heading out again once the temperature had cooled down a bit. Cache easily found after a pleasant wander along the trail. A post find solve for me. TFTC.

This frustrating puzzle has been sitting in my solved pile for a little while. I managed to breeze through the first step, but it was the following I struggled with. I tried many things, but in the end it was one of the geokids that had a breakthrough..
In the vicinity today so continued on to make the find.
Log signed and returned as found.. thanks yamutha, another off the list

Headed to Albury with Roostaman, to pick up a few puzzles caches that were solved previously.
Another tricky puzzle by the CO, and worthy of a favourite point.
Cache found after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, yamutha, for us and others to find.

12 Nov 2019 & 14 Nov 2019 Caching Trips
With these two days free, I decided on getting back into caching after a recent dry spell (apart from the event I attended on the 9 Nov). On the 12th, I headed for Cowra to start the caches out that way. I visited many monuments which some included: the World Peace Bell, Koorawatha Falls, Wynnefield Memorial and the one of the old Railway Bridges. Most caches were quick finds but a couple ended up with DNF’s or NA’s which was upsetting but hay… you can’t find all caches because you need things to do next time you’re in the area. There were many different types of hides and locations which made it a very enjoyable day out. On the 14th I headed down over the border into Victoria to hit the ‘S’ series trail which has been on the to-find-list for who knows how long now. I headed straight for the far end of the trail to start so I would finish at the closer side to the other caches on the list to find. This ended up being a solved Mystery cache finding day with a couple of Trads along the way. Also while I was in the area I couldn’t say no to visiting, the ‘Ettamogah Pub’ and ‘The Henty Man’. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the rest of the caching community. TFTC’s

Due to time restraints I had to not attempt this one. Maybe when I am next in the area I'll attempt it.

We have looked at this one many times and had an idea of what we needed but could never quite make it work.
Today by what I imagine is a HIGHLY unusual method that took a lot of time, effort and patience managed to get a set of coordinates. Although skeptical that the location wasn’t quite right we set out and located it! I must say the local muggles despite their unusual appearance were quite friendly. I’m quite sure the secret location will be quite safe with them!
Yippee another yamutha puzzle solved!

I couldn't participate in the latest souvenir challenge (streak week) as I have been too greedy and have chased most of the local caches so to find seven that I could do easily was not possible. Still didn't stop me trying to resolve a few that have been hanging around and get some solved. And this at least proved to be the case with this one.
I have been looking for this secret message for a while, and have tried a number of ways. However on Friday evening I tried looking at it again in a different way and something started to appear. A bit more adjustment and things seemed to be even clearer - not certain if it was the alcohol enhancement or my stigmatism but things suddenly became clear. A bit of necessary calculation and a valid looking GZ appeared. Just needed to work out the best way to access.
So on Father's Day I had to take middle geoson to the "Return and Earn" (when there is financial incentive he is always keen) and the geohound needed a walk. After these tasks headed to an underappreciated piece of Albury and started the short walk to the GZ - had realised that this would accessible on that trail. A nice walk and the coordinates looked pretty good (GPS was about 7 metres but pretty happy with that) and cache was found in the second place I looked. Log signed and confirmed as a 3TF with over a year of unlove to boot - not certain if this one is too difficult or that short walk is just a little far for some.
Anyway I enjoyed the walk and another clever yamutha puzzle off the list - still in double figures but slowly getting there. TFTC yamutha

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. I had solved this puzzle when it came out, but I wanted company as I headed to GZ, and this is the first chance I have had to get there with PapaGrouch. It was quite chilly as we made out way to the hide, especially as we are just back from Queensland. TFTC
**FTF** gone at 9:21am. Woo hoo!!
Hubby set about solving this one while the rest of us finished dinner. It was handed over to me to see what I could see and after an hour of failing to unravel it I resorted to the tv. Bedtime and it was getting the better of me as I knew what needed to be done just couldn't get the info I needed... soo I had another looked. Not sure if it was the tired eyes but I managed to extract what I needed and msgd the CO as the placement looked a bit suss. Closer inspection seemed likely as the CO gave me the green light!
Dropped the kids at school and enjoyed the morning stroll in a great area I haven't fully explored before. This is the reason I geocache - had the place to myself!
Thanks for another great & timely puzzle Yamutha - I needed a find today.
