Hi there geocaching_mackay, we found your cache Mackopoly - Water works today. Its day 8of our geocaching trip to Mackay. Today we thought we would attack some of the more local geocaches, maybe even venturing into the CBD. This was a nice quick park and grab here today Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
The Mega has been and gone and we had so much fun meeting with friends. Now we've turned south towards home but we're still finding caches and great camps along the way.

Tft$ Taking the scenic route home from Mackay on a Sunday afternoon. Quick find once we searched the right structure. Took some effort to extract the magnet from it hiding spot though. Thanks for another smiley.
An early start to the day before it gets too hot.
Arrived at GZ but took a while to find. Looked elsewhere for too long.
Read some previous logs and soon realised I was off by maybe 2 metres.
Started poking around and soon had cache in hand.
Added my name, collected another smile and returned as found

Found quite quickly but took longer to extract.
Another day in Mackay so out we went caching once again with Temingi.
We focussed on a range of puzzles we had pre-solved generally heading out west. It was a great day with a slight breeze with plenty of laughs and fun along the way. We made good use of a reasonable recently acquired TOTT and encountered a variety of hides. Even a couple of regulars which seem to be rare in the area.
Thank you to all the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches.

This one needed a good search for. fav point. Our thanks to OzGeoker for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

We picked a couple of regions to cache today, we found a variety of caches some of the best we have seen so far.

Our first full day in Mackay. This is our first time here geocaching so it was great to be able to grab any cache as we passed them. Came accross several great hides and have given out many fav points. Wel done Mackay for great cache hides.

Nope too hard for me today! Feeling pretty conspicuous in my bright pink running gear so not hanging around. Another day maybe.
After being unexpectedly stuck in town for two weeks today is our last day, woohoo (nothing against Mackay but when your plans are two weeks behind it will be good to finally continue from A to B)
Decided to grab a few caches instead of having a Nanna Nap this was one of them

On a roll today. Got him!! Had to pretend I was working there, which is a lot easier with my work vehicle, to avoid the suspicion of the passing muggles. Had no joy initially, but thought I'd check elsewhere before logging the DNF, and look and behold, there he was hiding in plain sight. SL. TFTC.
Thought come back and have another look clever Bugga just when you think you have looked everywhere great find
While stuck in Mackay with work I ventured out to grab this one, I grabbed my deadly treadly and set out from the city, when I arrived I was all alone and set about searching it wasn't long after I found what I had come for! Thanks Three Rs for the new hides around Mackay. They keep me busy when I am away from home.
Back on the Mackopoly board today again.

Seems I did have painted on eyes last visit but that how it rolls. Pretty sure this one will be gone soon due to placement, might be an idea to come by and more it maybe

Was just about to give up on this when I'd given it one more look and it was found. TFTC

We saw evidence of other searches.
We found nothing.
However looking very suspicious hanging around here we left empty handed. This not a place to be looking suspicious with far too many cars passing. We did look in a lot of obvious but nothing was surfacing but the constant drip of the water leak. Best we are gone. places
