We found it after a few minutes looking. It was on the ground and a bit wet. Have put it back where we think it was meant to be, as per the hint.
Quick trip ip to the Nelson area, with a wee bit of caching in between, many thanks for the caches . - Bitsprayer
Found with a muggle with my name from France. Picked up a lovely hitchhiker - heading the wrong way to Christchurch. Took her out to Kohatu Junction. Caching with Piwaka54

I found this on the flip flop after finding some caches on the other side of the river. It was in a funny spot, so after I stopped laughing, I returned it to a better location which is more secure and barely a few mm away from where I found it. TFTC.
Located with Ricardinho
He had to work a little for this one, I documented the fund
Today we thought we would head over to Motueka to visit the market & then up the Motueka Valley to Ngatimoti for some geo adventures. My grandparents lived just across the Peninsula Bridge so I love this area The we drove through to Upper Moutere via Risedale Road & stopped at the Upper Moutere pub to refuel The Polenta chippies are yummy!!!!!

A quick find here, but there was a bit of traffic around so I waited for that to clear. Nice story about Cyclone Gita. TFTC Sidewaze.
#20083. We came over the bridge and wondered if there was good parking on the other side of the road after we turned right. Turned out there was good parking and we made a quick find. Good that the container survived the power of nature. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we made our way from Takaka to St Arnaud on yet another lovely spring day.
Good that the cache container has been re-used. Good parking at GZ and it didn't take long to located the cache. TFTC.

It certainly did cause some trouble. Devastating for some, inconvenient for others. Today it's allowed me to find the same cache twice! TFTC again
Lots of traffic on this road this evening - all the Christchurch peeps on their way to Mot and Kaiteriteri for their summer holidays. Still it was no problem finding this in a gap in the traffic. TFTC.
Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

Wedged in tight! That won't be going anywhere on its own and nice to finally have gotten this one. Each time I've passed by I've been going to quick to make the stop but this time I was prepared. Thanks Sidewaze, your cache is in good condition.

Finally found it! Today I found it at first sight, very easy. Last time it was dark so I easily overlooked this cache. Amazing story of this cache! I was walking across this bridge to blueberries orchard every day in summer. So I am glad I have found this cache. Thank you for enabling it. Nice memories for me. Greetings from the Czech Republic!

DNF. Last time the cache was gone, so I tried to find it now. But I was unsuccessful, searching for 10 minutes. I am afraid it is gone again or it is a sneaky hide. Amazing story of this cache! I was going across this bridge every day in the summer. So I really wanted to find this cache.
A nice quick find thanks.
Found on a lovely days drive to Motueka, with Ms_KR, the start of our holiday. A lovely day, with only a few showers along the way.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

After (mostly) success so far this was a DNF for me. Parked at the end of the barrier and headed up and down a number of times checking likely places. With no hint I wasn't sure where to focus on and so came away empty handed. Probably just me.
Paddle chick and I had been to the Cache Creation Event then headed to Riwaka Resurgence so pc could fix up her cache and get a few caches on the way home .A nice easy find Thanks for this cache Sidewaze
The power of autorouting worked well here. We were heading from Brooklyn for he next closest cache when we spotted another cache was on the route. So the closest was no the closest really and this cache was. SoBad stayed in the car while Mrs S crossed over for the cache. Well, we were advised to keep the littlies in the car!!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Wandered up the road and across the bridge to this one... had to be careful with the traffic here - coming from 3 different directions.
Tucked away nicely - tftc sidewaze

After 2 expected DNF's around the Lower Moutere region, we headed out to this one knowing it had been found recently. Took a short while to spot, then took refuge in the car to sign log and keep it dry. This gets rid of the last green box in this area and we are now all smiles. tftc
Taking the long way home from Motueka to collect this cache.
Surprised to discover that I was second to find today.
I was also surprised how much traffic used the bridge while I loitered at the car.
I came down this road a few weeks after Gita. All the media had concentrated on Riwaka, the Takaka Hill and Marahau. This area along the Motueka River was just as badly affected. It was jaw dropping devastation. Not much except the nearby slip is left to remind us.

A quick run across the bridge to Gz spotted two guys fishing in the fast flowing river. Another signed off and away we went Cheers
I nearly gave up on this one as the coords were off but I spotted it just as I was about to give up. 2 for 3 so far today
I resorted to standing behind the shiney new guardrail as Stretch0 braved the very busy Labour weekend Monday afternoon traffic - thankfully cache was quickly found - signed and returned - thanks for the cache
Cache not where we anticipated it would be but was a quick find . Just everyone needs to take lots of care in this area as it can be very busy at times!! TFTC
Rain, so why not burn some diesel instead of calories.
Yip, was some storm.
Thanks for the cache

Oops, my apologies, I thought I had updated the coordinates but paddle chick's log alerted me to the fact that I hadn't. Hopefully people will find searching for this one a little easier now.

Gita certainly did some damage to the area. GPS wanted me search in amongst the damage which didnt seem logical but had a look there before reading other logs and trying a more logical location, it still took a few minutes to spot, it always helps when you look fromt he right direction. Thanks Sidewaze

It must have been terrifying when mother nature let loose in this area, such a lot of damage in such a short time. We have had a couple of trips over the Takaka and Marahau hills in recent times and it is just heart breaking to see what the local people have had to deal with.
I pulled up at GZ today and to my delight the cache was in the first place I looked. There was no traffic go past while I signed the log and returned it to it's snug wee holding place. Then I wandered across the road to have a look, hard to imagine the force behind the damage.
As I was heading back to the car a Downers vehicle pulled up - had I been five minutes later I would not have been able to find the cache as it would have been compromised = lucky.
Thanks for placing this cache and giving me the motivation to come and have a look around the area.

Woohoo, joint FTF, saw it published this morning and new we were going out that way but had to pick SJT_NZ up at airport. Headed out after a meeting in Mot with contractors lunch in hand. 20 minutes of searching and no luck, TD indicated it should be easier, Isis arrived and another 10 mins of searching then further assistance arrived. Isis made contact with CO disturbing her well earned break away and with some further clarification the cache was discovered. A team effort for a grand FTF. Thanks to the CO for her patience through our ordeal.
A fourway FTF. with SJT_NZ, Isis58. and Tregearp , we eventually got it sorted ??? always good to meet fellow cachers in the field. TFTC.
After finding a couple of caches on Rabbit Island I decided to drive on out to here. The published coordinates did have me next to a couple of hint objects but not next to the cache. I checked my phone and found a useful log with some alternative coordinates and that's where I found the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Well actually it was a four-way FTF with Tregearp, Isis58 and Wellwishers.
Tregearp and I arrived first and had been searching for about 20 minutes before Isis58 arrived and then about 10 minutes after that Wellwishers. It was one of those counter intuitive things that with all of us there we were less obvious than it was just two of us.
It was very clear that there had been some recent (and ongoing) significant work around the GZ. Isis58 contacted the CO. From the ensuing cross-Tasman interaction things were resolved which resulted in a four-way FTF.
Thanks Tregearp, Isis58 and Wellwishers for the joint effort at the GZ, and to Sidewaze for taking time out during your valuable Gold Coast caching to resolve our predicament.

We were still making plans for a day out further field when we got an unexpected visitor this morning. By the time he left we had to rethink our plan since a large chunk of the day had already gone. It didn't take too long to come up with a loop encompassing two new caches, one we have bypassed many times for various reasons and a previously "couldn't even stop and look" cache due to road works with a stop/go operator within 3m of GZ.
We arrived here, safely parked, ignored my gut feeling where the cache would be and followed the GPS as it counted down to another hint object. It didn't take long to see how impractical that area was for a placement so I ignored the GPS and returned to my first instinctive idea of the correct spot, had a brief look and extracted the log to sign.
As I had saved this cache offline on my phone before we left home I didn't have the advantage of Isis58 updated coords but geocachers instinct saved the day.
Thank you Sidewaze.

We hoped for a beautiful day caching but the weather looked like it could go either way. Then an unexpected visitor and the morning was gone. The weather had settled and we made a plan. It became a pleasant afternoon on the road with four finds including a FTF. Following the river via the West Bank from the Kohatu end we encountered many places where Mother Nature put her stamp on the surroundings during the latest major weather event. As we crossed the Alexander Bluff Bridge the hint item loomed large and we parked safely underneath. The GPS got us somewhere else that neither had a hint item in one piece nor the indicated D/T rating. So after some solid searching it was back to the car. We then inspected what we earlier perceived as GZ proper and there it was. Thank you Sidewaze
