Log full, needs replacement. Didn't have the right type on me at the time. Great hide! AussieGal88
Found after a moment of quiet reflection at the memorial itself. Very discreet, and the perfect colour for the context! TFTC
This a new account but I found this cache with my mum (EmsDan1315) and my brother (maggies123) on 10-6-2024. TFTC.
Continuing our tour of the Barossa vineyards by bike and casing on the way. Lovely little memorial garden. Thanks for bringing us here. Good order but log full.
#13986 7:50Day 4 of our Adelaide trip, staying overnight in Barossa Valley. Of course some wine tasting was on the menu, but this early of day, I first did a few of the caches in and around the town of Tanunda.TFTC Mattycat

Found with the Nelson crew. Staying in the Barossa for next few days so off to find caches
Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie are caching our way around the Barossa signing our logs as SPBINZ or some variation on that. This was our first for the morning. TFTC SpotemGotem#16412
We are staying i Tanunda for a couple of nights to complete the Barossa trail and others in the region. I enjoyed wandering round these lovely gardens. Someone had placed a cute wee bear dressed in uniform at the memorial. Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie). TFTC Mattycat and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 21,966**tepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! That's a bit of a first for me, remembering a sea cat, how cool. After a great day yesterday putting (almost) all of the bunches of grapes in the "Barossa" series back how they were we're planning a much more varied day today and this was our first cache. Thanks so much for bringing us here to remember all the Aussies (and their fellow Antipodeans from New Zealand) and the animals who served their country to our benefit.
Found with SPINBNZ Team Nice easy find thanks for placing this cache Mattycat in memory of Able Seacat Simont

Out for a weekend of caching with Mrs Mellison and team Paulf76. We love the Barossa and had a great night last night. This is find number 10 for the weekend. TFTC
I already logged it as DNF but on the way back to the car Dustieann discovered new coordinates in the description. So we went back and finally spotted the small container after all
Thanks for the cache & greetings from Switzerland

Able Seacat Simon is back on deck. A slight adjustment in the garden to avoid the pruning!
I’ve got my quota for the day, but whilst making a pit stop at the Tanunda Bakery, I notice this offering. Not only does it have the magic 10+ FPs for this months challenge, but it also features a cat story. I’m in.
Once I’d gotten over the disappointment of discovering that there is no statue of Simon in the park, it was down to the business of finding the cache. When I got to GZ I discovered what looks like some recent calamity involving the host tree, but miraculously the cache had been spared. I’ve sent a note to the CO to see if he wants to reposition the cache a little. A great little park that you barely notice as you drive past, and an inspirational cat story I’m adding another FP even though it’s already reached 10. I think Simon would have wanted that.
Thanks Mattycat.

Found with Shonky and Uni on a biking day in the Barossa. Some were easy, some hard, and some just no luck for us today. It was hot, dry and we obviously left our geo mojo's home today.
Thanks for the cache
Cheers and Happy Hinting

Uni, Shonky and SXC headed out to the Barossa to complete the bike trail series, and any other cache in the area which we came across.
Uni, Shonky and SXC headed out to the Barossa to complete the bike trail series, and any other cache in the area which we came across.
Set out on a bicycle ride with Uni and Medusa, and Southern Cross Caching.
Uni cheated because he had 2 wheels like us.
The day was hot, the caches mostly difficult and there were a lot of places where we just gave up because we were worried about snakes or dehydration.
Note to self, don't go bicycle caching on hilly terrain when the weather is above 22 degrees...
This one was easy if you know which tree to start with....

Quick find with help from the hint and a log entry or two. Nice peaceful place to stop and rest for a while. TFTC.
Drop of Stacey to work at day at the green. We thought we go caching while we waiting until 10. Found with superman_22, giselle_13. Tcth
Visiting sister at Tanunda with another sister. Had a little spare time and took the opportunity of finding a couple of caches. Beautiful park. 7 pines counting the dead one!!!! TFTC
Nice quick find with the hint. Peaceful place to sit as well. Thanks for the cache
Found it Stamped as The Brown Family aka “the coloured mint tin by the sea people”

#19795. Day 7 of our holiday in SA and today Robmc, the geo-doggies and I rode the Bike Trail between Nuriootpa and Angaston and return and then rode around town collecting a few solved puzzles in the afternoon. A long and rather frustrating day seeking elusive caches that did not want to be fouind. Managed to only find 17 with 2 DNF's.
A lovely little park to stroll through to start the caching day. Magnificent old gums and a few daffodils flowering. After finding and signing the log we went to have a look at the memorials before leaving. An interesting note abut Able Seaman Simon.
Thanks Mattycat

The first day in the Barossa with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
Dragged out the deadly treadlies and rode the rail trail Nuriootpa to Angaston, and then after lunch looked at a few puzzles around Nuriootpa.
Overcast but no rain, so a nice day for caching.
First cache for the day, always nice to start with a quick find in a lovely park.
Thanks, Robmc.

Easily found after a recount! Needs a new log as we had trouble finding a little corner to scribble on. TFTC
Nice one. Found once I counted all the trees. They are all important- even the dead one TFTC!
We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
We stopped here for lunch. I gabbed a cache here about 5 years ago and this was another easy one thanks to the hind.
This was find number 11 for the day.

Thanks Mattycat for bringing me to this beautiful garden of remembrance. The cache was appropriate.
To remember is always good in these towns. Second day in SA and out on trusty treadles aka my mtb to explore the trails and surroundings. Had no intention of doing so many but these quality caches piqued the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. Happy and relieved to record no DNF’s and on average most were located ‘relatively’ quickly. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game!
I was in town to have the car serviced and had more than an hour or two to fill, so geocaching came to mind. I have geocached Tanunda before but it seems that they have all been archived, so I ha a clean sheet ahead.
I recall a cache in this park previously, interestingly a very similar cache and location type. The current cache was an easy find when I noted the the hint and park honoured those who served “both dead and alive”.
Thanks for this cache Matty cat

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Staying in Tanunda and B was busy so G decided to head out and find a cache or two. Was heading back to the accommodation and saw this was on the way and had to stop to make the find. As I was wandering to GZ I recalled attempting this one a looonnnnggg time ago and failing miserably. This time, with a lot more experience, the cache was located quite quickly, log signed and replaced. Nice little garden.
