Yay

Tool and info found easily and then the final found and extracted similarly easily! Good to see people living to a ripe old age here, as long as you dont look too hard at the pioneer plaque out front. TFTC

We were passing through again and being the last finder of the waypoint thought we'd stop here for lunch and check it out. Today we spotted the attachment mentioned in a recent log and reattached the part we found on the ground. And checked out GZ. You can take the maintenance spanner off as the cache is now working as its meant to.

12-Jun-24
Found at 11:40 AM GAFF4.Rolled into town and headed straight for the dead centre. We were armed with intel from a previous finder after reading the logs that mentioned there was a problem with WPT1. Came armed with a suitable TOTT, but it was probably not needed and the container could have been removed with some local TOTT. Not sure if the cache is still set up as originally intended and will need to be checked out. Thanks to Zane and Bianca

12-Jun-24
WPt1 is missing and the cache may not be set up as originally intended.

01-Jun-24
No luck here. Found the attachment point for the field puzzle, but no container.

01-Jun-24
We weren't able to find WP1 other than a likely looking attachment on a tree. We looked around on our way back to the car and spotted the cache. Once a TOTT was in hand, it was a quick retrieval.

01-Jun-24
Reading a previous log we looked around on the way back and found it. CO might like to check for the container at the listed coordinates. TFTC

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 20 - Norseman to Esperance via salmon Gums and Grass Patch. For what seemed like a short day driving, it seemed to take a long time. I did not even do all the side trips I had in my provisional plan. The highlight of the day was the brick works behind Salmon gums. I saw a few enjoyable locations as I went and was happy to reach my destination in the mid afternoon, allowing a bit of time to visit some shops and spend an hour or so at the local bar overlooking the dark bay.I will admit to having no idea what was required to solve this one. I was hoping something would make sense on site, but it did not. As I was scouting around, I found the cache. I had to go and get an attractive tool, but after that the log was signed and I was on my way. Nice little own and I had morning tea here. Thanks for the cache Zane and Bianca46759.7 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2007 March Signal A#89**Albida**

What a fun cache.. sneaky but not too tricky and the perfect mugglefree location. It took a bit of searching for the first part but eventually what we were looking for was discovered laying out in the open on the ground. We were fairly sure it wasn't meant to be that random. The nearest thing had the ideal hide so that's where we replaced it. We eventually spotted the cache but were bamboozled on how to get it. There was no talent involved in working that out.. I did it by accident when I started to use the right thing in the wrong way. Very clever! Thanks Zane and Bianca, another enjoyable cache. FP.

Norseman To Esperance
We had a nights camping at Salmon Gums picking up 2 caches.
This was a very sneaky hide that deserves a FP

Back on the road we have arrived into Esperance, set up camp.
After lunch we toured the coastline doing some caches & an AL.
This was a good way to visit the area.
Thankyou to the CO's for placing these caches.

30-Mar-23
Out with AVRENO to complete a few more around the Esperance area. All in good order.
Couldn't solve the clues, but still found the sneaky cache. Thanks guys.

This small little place in the middle of nowhere has 3 of our FAV caches on our BIG Geocaching Lap of OZ !!!
Always love a cemetery cache, and this was a rippa, eventually extracted the little blighta, with our own TOTT, before realising all the tools were there for us, great field puzzle, TFTC Zane and Bianca, FP awarded !!!

A trip to Perth checking out some of the awesome places along the way in ACT, NSW, Qld and NT. Grabbing some old caches and missing LGAs. TFTC.
Love it. An excellent field puzzle. All the answers there. Just figure it out.

06-Oct-22
Well this took a bit of work and a couple of trips back to the vehicle. The final was upside down.. or was it right way up? and the tool was not sufficient to extract it. Never mind we got there in the end with the resources in the shonky Pahero. Thanks for the cool puzzle shonky fav point added. Next finder should have an easier time.

We jus found the wp whn th heavens opened up. We made a mad ah to the shelter to figure out GZ there out of the rain.

Adelaide to Perth Roadtrip.
Day Four: Madura to Grass Patch.
Weather: showers!!

Pushing my luck with the daylight here, but managed to complete the steps in time. An interesting change from todays other caches.

Thanks again Zane and Bianca.

I looked at this puzzle while trapped in Norseman waiting for our car to be fixed. It had me perplexed, so I decided to visit GZ to see what I could find. Once there all became clear and the cache was found and signed very quickly. This is an excellent field puzzle cache.

Great little offset here have a Fav point.
The host for the final is missing the cover plate if it were to be there ? Nothing wrong with the actual cache that is still hidden and dry.

Trip down to the coastal towns of Bremer bay and Esperance. Great to get out and explore. Had to chase a few extra KM by heading up towards Norseman to help add to the cache find count also.

Thanks to the local COs for some interesting caches and some even better locations. TFTH

Out ‘n about with m4yb getting a few caches.
After a very peaceful nights sleep, I was even asked if I heard the train last night, to which I replied “Nah”! We met the father of the CO who confirmed that the tool and co-ords were still in place, so we drove out and was amazed at how we missed them yesterday, such is caching. A very well designed and executed cache deserving of a FP.
Thanks for the hide and Zane and Bianca.

Returned today and were happy to find the tool, cords and presto, the cache. Thanks for this cache and a FP for bringing us here!

Saw the biggest spiders web ever close to WP1. A gigantic spider in residence to. I am not surprised, the spiders must get plenty to eat with the multitude of flies around here. Go Spiders! TFTC Zane and Bianca

pug002 found it on our trip to Esperance, got an early 6am start from Esperance apart from the flies it was pleasant. TFTC Zane and Bianca Smile Loved this and give you a fav

Found the clue but not clever enough to locate the proper geocache. Thought we had the coordinates correct but kept directing us into a paddock. Only new to this so hopefully we will work out the next one!

After rolling out the swag last night in the rain at Thomas River in the Cape Arid NP, I headed on to Esperance quite early, hoping to get up to Norseman and on the Hyden Road by tonight. But as is so often the case, with me at least, I got sidetracked and didnt even make it as far as Norseman! No surprise really, given that I wasn’t even planning to come down this way on this trip.

The weather has been woeful for the last day or so. It bucketed down last night and has rained on and off for most of the day. Great for the farmers, but not quite so great when you are camping. Looks like more rain as I set up camp tonight.

This was a clever little field puzzle.

Thanks Zane and Bianca for the puzzle and the cache.

Fav point great hide

Had a trip out to The historic ghost town of Gwalia planned for some time now and with the wife keen to check out some of the ghost towns and various ruins throughout the goldfields it was sure to be a great trip.

We travelled to Kalgoorlie and then upto Gwalia where we stayed at Hoover House, which is the old mine managers house for the sons of gwalia mine and offered great views of the pit.

We took a day trip out to Laverton and Leinster with a small detour to grab a few caches along the great central road. After our detours from Leonora we dropped back into Kal and down to Esperance for the last night of our trip.

A great trip away and thanks for all the caches along the journey. Thank you to the COs for their caches.

23-Feb-19
And our second “alternative “ cache in the region has been found. These were good finds, and slightly different to the norm. The second stage nearly stymied us but all good in the end. Thanks for a great cache

23-Feb-19
Great little puzzle cache and well hidden in plain view. Took a bit of time to extract the bison tube as it had dropped down into the hole in the bottom of its container. Clever hide and gave us something to do while being held up at Salmon Gums by fire on the ride to Norseman. Thanks.

15-Feb-19
Wow! It was another very hot day today, so we went along with ilook4geo to look for some hot caches to match. Our base camp was at Norseman and we headed south at a fairly early hour, to pick up at least some of the caches while it was still a bit cooler. We found all the caches that we looked for and signed each log before putting everything back into place.
We found the waypoint for this one, but did not recognise the tool. Arrived at the cache site, understood what needed to be done and decided to be inventive and use a caching tool found at hand. That worked well amd the log was soon signed.
Thank you Zane and Bianca for placing the various caches that we found around this district today.

15-Feb-19
Today was too hot to put many caches on the hunting list, but we did pick up some with goingplaces2. Each log was signed, each cache was replaced as found. Thanks Zane and Bianca for all these caches.

Travelling from Esperance to Kalgoorlie and towards real summer at the same time Cool. Temperatures were rising constantly and reaching 39°C when arriving at my destination Razz! Definitely not that chilly as it has been down at the coast.... There have been lots of chances along my way to stretch my legs and find a box en passant [:o)]. Here I found both stages very fast and after signing the log I put back the box including one more favo for this really nice cache!

We agree with all the previous finders that there is such a lot of
History here. We did not have this one on our list today as we
intended to go on further to Esperance. Time was not in our
favour. Our GPS had us wandering around a bit for WP 1 but
after laying it on the ground to let it settle we went to look and
the cheeky little tube just about hit us in the face. Headed off
to WP 2 and after doing a few of your other caches, we knew it
would be different and difficult to find. Mr LS made the find
and was really intrigued. A fave point from us....

Thanks for your ingenuity Zane and Bianca

Found by Mary & David at 0930. A FP here even before we start exploring. M loves cemeteries for their graveyard architecture, carved symbolism, and social history. Only one grave with the old symbols of an urn draped in lace, and flowers signifying a perfect life. Take time to read the story of the little boy lost on the front wall. Our youngest grandchild is the same age. Look at the pioneers wall - people from all over Australia and the world came here to live and die. Our thanks to Zane and Bianca.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 now we are making our way west for a visit with family.

Heading towards Esperance, today we moved from near Fraser Range to just past Norseman.

Loved the time and effort put into all your caches. thanks for helping us explore your region.

Fave point for sure here. loved it.

A fav point for the cache container !!!!

Third day of our 'loop' trip following the wildflowers and grabbing some caches along the way.
Had intended to stay in Esperance a few days but the weather was foul and hail forecast and much the same for the next few days so decided to head for Kalgoorlie. Still freezing but I headed off to the listed co-ords while geo-hubby made us a warming cup of tea. Spotted the required items and headed to gz. Well constructed container which sits perfectly in its surrounds. Another outstanding job Zane and Bianca - we are fans!

Another one that we were able to access today via a bitumen road.
A nice simple field puzzle that was quickly worked out.
A great shelter too where we could get out of the worst of the weather.
We were very impressed with this cemetery too, it was well kept and had a real mixture of old and new graves. It was just the sort of place we would have liked to explore further but not on a day like today.
Thanks, and a favourite point from us for a well thought out and presented experience.
