Still there. Good find. Lots of muggles to look out for including ones I know

I searched around the big tree, the not-so-big tree, and even a couple of others all to no avail.

A quick detour and Mr B grabbed it

Today 3 of the Team SEAC crew headed down as the Waihi Walking Wanderers...a smaller crew than usual being Easter Weekend but that didn't stop our enthusiasm or plan for the day. Another great day out for sure!! Best of all not a single DNF!!Nice quick find here but beware of the deadly nightshade thats growing here. Thanks for the cache - always enjoy a find after a DNF.

The call went up as another caching raid had been planned (in minute detail I have to say) by Keylev. As it was Easter weekend we didn't have the full Team SEAC compliment but 3 of us headed down to Waihi to execute "THE PLAN". Wanted to come back and grab the last one of this series as it was too far for the kiddies on the day to make the detour off the track. It’s a bit drizzly now and we got a little wet in the grass retrieving this one. TFTC

Didnt want to leave any gaps on our map and still hoping for our most finds in one day so no excuse for us not to make this detour. Cache found even though the grass was nice and wet.

Wow, I'm surprised to see most of the recent people who cached around the walkway have skipped this detour cache! Not sure about the rest, but I was more than happy to endure a 500m return walk for an extra smiley Spot on coordinates resulted in a very quick find and oooh, a different container from the usual! TFTC nodo!

Last day of the long weekend and it's ANZAC Day! To pay respect, I didn't find any caches until after 1:00pm but once the clock struck 1 it was GO, GO GO!!! Had an awesome afternoon walking all over Waihi with the highlight being the pit rim walkway around the Martha mine. All in all, I found a total of 28 caches including 19 trads, 5 AL's, 2 Virtuals, 1 Earth cache and 1 Mystery... Thanks very much to all CO's for their hides

Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. The weather was mostly dry today, another bonus. We cruised from Waihi Beach to Te Aroha, and got here just as the heavens opened. Another great day!

Quick side trip then back on the trail.

On the way back home and after not walking around the mount earlier I was up for a walk so the Waihi mine rim was a handy replacement and with plenty of variety.
A road trip with my daughter today. She wanted to go to Tauranga, and I was on leave for the most part of this week so this was a mutually enjoyed visit to the BOP for the first time in a few years. We left at just after 6 to beat the traffic and after a long hold-up at Maccas we were soon on our way. A stop off in Paeroa on the way to the Mount (which was unexpectedly, and frustratingly, closed) and then a few TMGTs and the Waihi mine loop walk and all was good. Back in good time and late enough to avoid the traffic snarl ups.

School holidays and travelling north to Auckland. Had time to bike round the Pit rim walkway. Amazing to see the size of this hole and to think that one day it will be filled to make a lake. Most of the finds were straight forward although we did have 4 DNFs. Not the biggest tree around but found it all the same. Thanks

This was the last cache of the 5 we had planned for the day. Now it's time for a spot of lunch in Waihi - a most pleasant day's outing - and found 2 trackables along the way too!

Out and about biking from Waihi to Paeroa and back. Great ride. Finished early, so had time to do a quick spot of caching on the way home. Easy find. Cache is all good. TFTC

Headed over this way to clear a few non-smilies off the map with Cats&Dragons. The plan was to start in Waihi and head South along the coast and see how far we can get before our other halves call and tell us to head home. To make the most of this a 4am start was on the cards to cram as much caching in as possible.

First stop for the day was the new caches along the Pit Rim Walkway. Found this one in the first place I looked so was back at the car before the dust settled.

Found it with Katbowersnz. Just before lockdown happened. Who knew eh! Lost the pen early in the piece. She has the photographic evidence

We took the detour to collect a couple of caches that had been placed, now we have an almost circle again around the Pit

The phone bounced around a bit, and my sandals filled with seeds, its that time of year! with a bit of trial and error, found an obvious tree (I guess it has a trunk) and there was the trusty eclipse. Thanks for the hide nodo, happy to earn a smiley today with rebel98

Away in the camper for a few days with the intention of doing the Martha Mine trail. We took the bikes to make the trip easier. Mr S again got there way before Mrs S who was taking it easy riding down the hill. She most definitely does not want to end up on the road. Mr S had to wait for her anyway because she has the pen in her pocket. Lol.

We were in Waihi for a day in the long weekend and started with the pit rim walk. Here today with stik-a-crane, darthcacher1, purply, eir-ot, unclesamnz. Logs were signed SEAC Labour Weekend to save space on the logs (SEAC is a group of cachers from south and east Auckland who often cache together). A nice quick find here.

Down for the day caching the area with a group, consisting of UncleSamNZ, HeMaLuDy, EIR-0T, Darthcacher1, and Purply.

Given we were a group we logged in as SEAC Labour, or SEAC Labour day to save logbook space.

Find number 5869. I had called at GZ twice before but on parking the curtains in the house across the road starting twitching so I waited awhile then left. Today i parked down the road and walked to GZ. No sign of any action across the road so was able to grab and sign. Nice to finally tick it off. Thank you for the placement.

Day 23 in Newzealand. Today we drove from Omokoroa to Whitianga. We visited Hobbiton, the Tunnel in Karangahake, the Mine in Waihi and made a kayak Tour to Donut Island.
A very beautiful Country with lovely places. We were able to find nice Caches and See Lots of beautiful places.
