Quick find here with Deni F and Shaneo58 while visiting the area from Maitland. Signed log as DSB. TFTC
Find#2747Have been planning a trip up to Kempsey to have a look at the slim dusty series with some Hunter geocachers. We got all the slim dusty series and then came to complete this series after completing the fruit and nut series too. A pretty quick find at GZ with good coordinates and a good hint. Out caching today with Banj5150 & Shaneo58. Cache in good condition replaced the zip lock bag. A favourite for the series from me. Only one DNFSigned as DSBTFTC coongoola
Found with deni_f and Banj5150 today and signed as BSD. Log sheet damp, but signable.. Rebated log book. TFTC coongoola and the series.
TFTC Again a wet log, result of all the rain we've had. A lot of caches in one day so apologies for the generic logs. Out caching w bobbiesgirl who has already done this trail however was nice enough to come with me so I could get a few smilies on my map.
Bit moist and mouldy. What a magnificent tree that must have been once. Tftc.
Spending a couple of days in the area, decided to do this series to get some in a row TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it
Thanks for the adventure along this trail, placing and maintaining these cahces for everyone to enjoy, tftc
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Today I was grabbing some of this series, as I meandered my way to Macksville. It was good to get of the beaten track and enjoy the back roads and grab some nice hides.
Stopped off here where the container was found after a short search, once at GZ. Unfortunately, the log was wet.
Thanks coongoola for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Found with cullum68 on a day of caching log log too wet to sign have photo if required thanks for the cache
Just doing some of this trail with goingplaces2 and enjoyed finding this cache. No problem in doing that. The log was signed. all was replaced. Job done! TFTC.
Went for a drive with ilook4geo and found a few more caches on this trail. Was able to sign each log and then put everything back into place. All OK with this cache. Thanks for the cache placement go to coongoola.
The last week or so has been a quieter time where we have enjoyed the beach, walking and fishing but today we headed out to some of the trails out from Scotts Head where we are staying. In particular the Buffalo Trail, Tamban Trail and Fruit & Nut Trail.
It was a lovely day to be out and about, with good sized caches on the Buffalo and Tamban in general and the majority of caches being in reasonable condition despite the recent very wet weather.
The Fruit hides were at times challenging, and the Nuts often quite evil. Added to this the Fruit & Nut track had a number of mud holes, but nothing that wasn't easily passable. We were fortunate to find all of these. Quite an achievement.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache coongoola.

OCW aubeasty and Brewmaker on a beautiful day for caching. Phew, we did it! Last one had water in it and log was wet but still signable. Thanks coongoola for an enjoyable day out, we found lots of good stuff, my favourite being the massive massive stumps. Only one miss, a few soggy, but the majority in great nick.
Woohoo, last one in the trail

We were out to break some of our records today after being stuck at home for over two months, so Tamban it was. We have often driven past it up the highway, and longed to get in there and find some, today we tried them all in just over 3 hours, and enjoyed ourselves - thanks for all the work you've put in to making this great trail.
Last one of the trail, we had a few stragglers to pick up on the way to the Fruit and Nuts, so spun back from here.... TFTC!

We don't normally do cut & paste with generic logs for a day's worth of caches. However, we will for this longer series.
This series, with the Fruit & Nut series took 5 hours to complete. We covered 20km starting from #40. We had only two cars drive past us whilst on the unsealed sections during this time. We made 63 finds. We found the road to be in good condition. Of course there has been little rain in the last fortnight. There were about 5 short sections, mainly between #20 and #1, where the road got a little bumpy - you just need to drive a little slower. A large puddle near #11 looked worse than it was. It ended up being shallow and was quite firm. All the caches were found fairly quickly due to accurate coords and good hints. Thank you coongoola. The caches are also well maintained! Thanks again. Some caches were quite interesting. We'll comment on these in individual logs. We have thoroughly enjoyed doing these PTs. A FP at the first and last for this fine series.

Thanks for a fun, well maintained trail Coongoola. Have enjoyed my day in the Tamban Forest

This trail was my inspiration to come to South West Rocks, on a few days off. My poor i30 went well in the ‘preferred’ 4wd dirt road. I really enjoyed the variety of caches, and i really enjoyed the micros, with no hint. (I see that some don’t) but I like the challenge.
I am developing an eye for the CO’s hide style, and I like it. The trail was started from 1-11 then 40-12 due to a muddy LAKE that I didn’t dare take my i30 through. (I wish I had a nice 4x4)
Cheers

Thank you very much coongoola for this lovely series! We had a great day with your creative Containers. We were on the road with a campervan without problems. Thanks for placing and maintaining those caches! Best Regards from Switzerland
A big day of caching while being based at Stuarts Point and what a pleasure it was to search and find the caches on this well maintained series. The different hides had us searching with interest at each gz. The scenery always lovely, the dirt road seldom used by other travellers. Thankyou coongoola for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Sitting by the river in Kempsey I had decided to hit the Tamban and Fruit &Nut trails.
Arrived at this one at about 1pm and given that others had only taken a few hours to complete the series I was hopeful of getting to the end of both trails before dark.
If they are all this easy it will be no problem.
Dropped off some trackables to continue their journey.

#15000. Day 5 of a short holiday and today Robmc and I are caching around the SW Rocks area. Early on we rolled over 2 big milestones - Rob - 24 000 and me 15 000. We finished off the Tamban Series and completed the BH Fruit & Nut Trail, gathering a few others along the way for a total of 45 for the day. It was a lovely day out in the bush.
This is find # 15000. Quite amazing. Never thought I would ever find this many. Here we are at noon back to finish off the last 10 of these. A good sized container once more so I dropped in a Shoe TB to continue its journey from here. Didn't see the TB that is supposed to be in here though.
Thanks coongoola

Day five of out quick trip north. BettyBoo3747 and I spent today around South West Rocks. We finished off the Tamban Trail and the Fruit an Nut trail caches, then came back into town and walked the back beach..
After a very wet night and morning, it turned into a very nice day.
Back on the trail today to hopefully finish off this series.
Starting on the sealed road with a regular in a surprising hide!
Thanks, Robmc.

Well this has been a day, and a personal best for both of us for caches in one day (usually only manage 20 or so).
Absolutely great fun, thanks for taking the time effort and money to lay the trail
We missed #34 just couldn't see it. But we're hungry and tired so mebbe we'll get that tomorrow morning.
Oh, and my Soft-Roader now looks like a proper Off-Roader, and to think I put it through the car wash before leaving home turf... Oh well it's all good for the sake of caching

Well that's it for the series (so far?) We enjoyed a lovely drive through the forest in perfect conditions - got a bit muddy, took a while to find the first 10, but then when we got into the mind of coongoola we were off and flying - took 3 hours to complete with a 20 minute break for lunch. We scored a few FTF's and met another cacher and we still feel like doing a bit more caching so off we go to Macksville!
Thanks coongoola for a lovely series which was well thought out with a mixture of hides and containers. An FP for the series.
