Very nicely done, have a fav point. Thanks 'LOK2017', for hiding this geocache for people to find. This is find number 10117 for me. TFTC
Fantastic cache. Down in Mky for work. Early morning walk saw me collect a number of caches.
We stayed over night at the Clairview campground. Heading further north, on our to Mackay , we made a few stops to find caches and to shop. This one was easy to sign, as it was found by a group of geocachers that we teporarily joined. Thanks a lot for this cache,Murkel,on tour with Muckel1 27. September 2024 09:47
Murkel and me visited Mackay today. On our way we met 4 geocacher and found this cache together. Thanks for the cache
Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Back to the east coast for an event in Orange (non caching) and then a great family dinner catchup. Now heading north to Townsville with Aquilus1 to get the Palm Island LGA. A rush into Mackay from Nebo to get to the morning event.A couple of caches not yet published found in the park.A trip around Mackay grabbing Ad Labs and other nearby caches.Lots of green ants.Into the city to grab more caches by scooter. Finally a drive out to Mirani for another event. A great long day finished by a drive to Bowen after dinner. An excellently constructed camo. Awesome.
A really nice cache, well constructed.Last night, we stayed at a great cheap camp in Nebo, knowing we had a few events in Mackay we wanted to attend. We arrived a little later than we had planned but still in good time. It was a great event of fun activities and new caches, and I enjoyed meeting the many people of the names I've known but not had the opportunity to come across till now. Another lovely sunny day, and that iconic Queensland scenery I do love of greenery, cane and the distant hills. Mackay added the bonus of water scenery and a fun day caching in MacKay, aided by scooters for a time. The day went quickly, then it was out west, caching as we went to Mirani for a dinner event. Thanks for your cache!
What a great cache! I almost gave up, looking up an down a very solid wall. Favourite point from me!
Yes, another FP from me. Love these caches, but also wouldnt have found without some encouragement from previous logs. Left a TB, took a TFTC!0
Was pretty tricky. If I hadn't read some of the other comments I definitely would have missed this one.
Went to the exact right spot first but was warned away from it! Lots of looking later and we had the cache in hand. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on now on our way south after heading north for warmer weather. From Cooktown back to Notth East Victoria, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
Found while on our adventures across 3 states, WA, NT & Qld for several months. We quite like Mackay & we've only just arrived this arvo. We found this while out on a scooter ride along the river, so had no stamp or writing equipment to out our names on the log. Sorry. Thanks for bringing us here to this lovely location

Tftc -took us a little while - great find! no pen today so just logging the find here
Quick find with a nice couple who were also looking for caches. Sadly we forgot to ask for their username but the might log it online next. Worth those favourites. Tftc
Yep! It's worth those favourites. Sea Reason and I found it after a brief search, but only after being convinced that I'd found it in a nearby (conical, grey, well camouflaged) possibility... or rather NOT found it because I was about to declare it as muggled— very good camouflage but there was no container. Then I realised that the coords were about ten metres off, and I searched a little further afield. I've left Trackable: TB972XZ *Cache Carnival Tag*, in the hope that it'll continue its travels.
Great hide and took a chance eventually and came up with the goods. Visiting from NSW took TB to head south - TFTC
Forms with toddler and frogitt on this hot winter day. Hot for us New Zealanders anyway. Our 2nd Mackay find and veto clever. Tftc
Very cleverly crafted container. Like many before me I dismissed this initially.

Ocw the Bebes. We spotted the hide but passed it over whilst we had a look around then doubled back and had a closer look and yes, that’s it. Nice hide. Tftc

Thanks for the cache brilliant little hide, a nice spot to watch the muggles
An hour spare this afternoon. Could have been more, but taxis are so difficult to get hold of in Mackay! After trying a few nearby, unsuccessfully, I went to target this one. Went to the location on the first go but didn’t think that that was it. After returning 10 minutes later, I figured it out!

This one took us a while, but after a few hints in previous logs, the cache was soon in hand.
Found with The X-Trailers. Not sure whether to touch but danger did not put us off. TFTC
Found after fighting off ,will we or want we . Yes we did and got rewarded

Wow wow wow!!!!!! I absolutely loved this cache. It has earnt a FP from me. Thanks for recommending it RainforestCookie. I found it this morning before there were any muggles out and about. I must admit that I relied on previous logs for hints that led me to the hide.
Fabulous hide, favourite given. Coongoola & Geodog are on an adventure after attending the Townsville Mega event in Qld. We found your cache today 7 May 2022 4:15 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC LOK2017
Visiting family in Mackay and felt like grabbing a couple of caches. This was an obvious choice due to the number of favourite points and was a nice hide, I enjoyed seeing the area and finding it. TFTC
**This Cache:**
Unlike Townsville, I was struggling to find some good caches to grab in Mackay!
This one however was a very clear choice, huge number of FP's to find ratio that's for sure!
I wasn't disappointed either! A fantastic location in the middle of town, and a very impressive hide
Have another favourite from me!
Thanks

**Today:**
Day 17 of my road trip, now heading back to Canberra from the Townsville Mega Event!
I left Townsville this morning, didn't have a plan of how far I was going to go but I only made it to Mackay. This was mostly due to the rain, which meant camping was off the cards so I had to pull up shorter than expected. I also didn't get moving until about 8:30am, and wanted to pick up just a couple caches in the "Saint" series before I left, as I never had time to do it! I got soaked, but luckily the rain only started when I was halfway through the ones I had hand-picked from the bunch.
Despite the wet weather I managed to find all the caches along the route that I wanted, including some extra ones in Mackay that weren't even on my list but the rain slowed down and they looked like they could be fun, which they were!
Thanks to all the CO's! Ended my day with my final cache find a little after 8pm!

We stopped in here to grab some AL points to find this one. I managed to locate the hide. A great cache have another fav to add to your collection. Tftc LOK2017 ????
We walked along to look at the Leichhardt tree and then started looking for this cache. It had us fooled for a while and then I looked somewhere Nyssaflutterby had already suspected and I noticed something unusual and then realised how to get the cache. Clever hide.
The whole reason for our stop at this location was to visit the Leichhardt Tree and remember it’s history. Seeing as we were here we made sure to hunt for this cache as well.
We wandered around GZ for some time and I noticed a certain something that stood out. I prodded it a bit but nothing.
Wombles had better luck and soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for the smiley LOK2017
Happy to part with a FP for this cache!

Day 4 of our road trip to the Townsville mega and we have finally arrived in Mackay!
We got here later than expected so the list has been cut down, but this one survived due to the number of favourite points.
Don’t want to give anything away but very good hide, very clever ????
Definitely worth stopping for, gets a FP.

TFTC. We are making our way to Townsville for the Mega at Easter. As we make our way up we are stopping to find caches between our overnight stops. Always good to stop to stretch our legs. And find a cache as well. We were walking along this path to find a waypoint on the AdLAb Sculpture Trail. We stopped j[here to attempt the cache. Linda had spotted the hide but dismissed it. A PAF confirmed that she had the right spot. A brilliant hide and A FP from us.
Today is the 3rd day of our trip to Townsville for the MEGA Event and our group consists of TMZ59, Patrol14, Peppa and me. We were caching around Mackay this morning before heading to Townsville for the next week. Clever hide. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
Day 3 of our Tour de Ville… having overnighted in Mackay we’re heading to Townsville…
Again, TMZ59 is at the wheel of the Habanero Sport, Patrol14 is up front and I’m having to constantly apologise to Imbunda in the back about covering her shirt in my milk…
We had a list two days ago… it lasted one cache before we started to detour… with some time to spare before we needed to be on the road, a new list was made for Mackay (pronounced Mackey)…
With that many fave points this was a must do for our short stay in Mackay (pronounced McKaee)…
The area was virtually muggle free, so it allowed us to hunt unhindered… having already found some of the COs work earlier it wasn’t to hard to spot their handywork… awesome IPS cache…
Thankfully I brought lots of fave points with me…
Tftc… log signed as Tour de Ville or TDV - TIPP

As we venture north to Townsville for the Mega, with Team de Ville (Imbunda, Peppa, patrol14 and myself). Spending a few hours in Mackay. Fantastic hide. Worth a favourite point. Logged at TDV. TFTC.

Third day of our trip to Townsville for the MEGA and we (Peppa, TMZ59., Imbunda and I) are caching in Mackay before driving the final leg.
Parked nearby and made our way to this cache. Another clever hide. SL then returned as found. Enjoying the variety of these hides.
A fav point from me.

Geoturtle37, Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and I are slowly making our way towards the Townsville Mega. We left some time last month and wended our way through the north east corner of SA on our way from Victoria. I did say slowly.
We all looked here for some time and even though a couple of us had already looked at exactly the right place, GT37 checked again and made the find.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

Really cool find. One of the best yet. Too lazy to go back to the car for a pencil but here is evidence.
We are zig zagging our way north with micaparamedic, Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 and are slowly heading towards Mackay today to do the Adventure Labs there but obviously picking up anything else that turns up along the way.
We were doing the nearby adventure lab wpt and as this one was so close by we weren't going to walk off and leave it.
This one had us scratching our head for a little while and we were very glad that it was Sunday afternoon as there weren't too many muggles around to delay us any longer. with limited places to hide we were glad that we had this many eyes looking. Geoturtle37 checked a place I had just investigated and sure enough she came up with the goods and we happily added our name to the log.
We signed as the Vics to save room in the log and then returned everything as it was.
Many thanks for showing us this area and the hide, a favourite point from us.

Found by Mary and David at 10:30 on our drive from Sarina to Bowen. Doing the nearby Ad Labs and noticed this cache nearby. A very breezy morning with a lovely view. A great job with the camo, which gets a FP. Our thanks to LOK2017.
The dreary weather must’ve kept the muggles away as there were only a couple of rough sleepers at the barbecue area so they did not present a problem to our hunt. After learning a little about the history of this area from reading about the Leichhardt Tree, we approached GZ. Only one thing stood out so we gingerly opened it and we’re relieved to find it was the cache. TFTC LOK2017
This cache took us some time to work it out.. found it signed log and returned .. sneaky hide thanks for the challenge.
