I parked nearby and took a walk to nab this cache.I searched and I searched and I searched. I was coming up empty. I read a few logs and searched again, spotting a few locations that might have held a cleverly hidden cache. After a good 30mins or more I decided to give up. Just as I was about to walk away I re read the description and noticed the cache comments. I had been looking for a different type of container, so just in case I had looked with cache blindness, I took another look, and rechecked the ground around GZ.Still nothing. This one got the better of me today!
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #30 - a 30,000 step walk through Coburg, Broadmeadows and Brunswick. I had just completed a cache way down on Merri Creek and getting here by public transport was no easy task. A bus back to the railway, one stop up the line and another bus to Davis Street south of the cache, which made it well over an hour between finds. Now I am here, I have seven caches to walk though of which this was the first. Thanks from D B-A
Completing some caches around the Camberwell area today and decided to give this series a go. Located this one after a short search. Great camo and a nice view of the other side of the lake. TFTC
Having completed today's kitty litter run , I mosied on over here to see if I could close out this Goose Lake series. After finally finding the appropriate way in, I soon spotted the nicely camoed stash at 13:45.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Alsume.

Tftc Alsume. In town to see the start of this year's MICF, with Sammy J at the Forum being our first event. Slept over at my sons place at Glenroy and spotted a group of 5 caches within easy walking distance. 3 of 5 found in the 5 1/2 kms of the circuit.
This was a quick find.
This was a quick find.
Out with the geokids and the geodogs for a bit of an adventure. The weather was much cooler than the last week, just perfect for caching. On our way here we passed a police car on the path. They stopped and asked if we had seen anyone riding dirtbikes in the area. We hadn't so we went one direction and the police went the other direction. We walked around this lake and tried to work out what the concrete structure is for. There were a group of teenage boys trying to catch yabbies in the lake. Once we honed in on GZ the find was made quickly. Thanks Alsume for the adventure and fun.
Checked today and cache still intact but had fallen from position. Replaced where it should be.
All in good Nick considering damp conditions. And on the other side ... Is the first stage of vaccine manufacturing before continuing at Parkville. TFTC
TFTC - found it upside down, replaced it on the same spot the correct way upwards.
Amazingly, walked straight up to it. Noise is growing as day gets longer. That road sure is busy. T4TC
Found it! Scary to head through the tall grass on this hot day but retrieve it to sign the log. TFTC
YAPIDKA! Amazing discovery in the busy burbs! Out on a mission and on the bike, so finding this cluster of caches seemed a good idea. Plenty of citizens enjoying the park and the bird life. TFTC and the fun disguises!
Found on a nice sunny day. Many people of many nationalities were having barbecues in a great display of multiculturalism. The cache was a decent walk and soon found. TFTC.
Have flown down to Melbourne from Sydney for a 2 week training course at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Air Traffic Control Centre, but my main interest will be in collecting as many Victorian (VK3 in HAM radio terms) caches as possible during my free time away from the workplace. My primary caching target areas will be the Woodlands Historic Park (with it’s 100 plus caches), the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, the Outer Circle Railway Trail, the Donaldson’s Creek Trail, the Ruffey Creek Trail, Eltham (Diamond Valley Railway), and the suburbs surrounding my Essendon apartment. This was the 9th of 10 finds for the day, and the 241st of 242 finds for the trip.
Headed out after work for my last caching afternoon of the Melbourne trip, as I will be flying back to Sydney straight after the training course finishes tomorrow afternoon, for some final cache finds. Visited the suburbs of Brunswick, Coburg, Hadfield, and Oak Park throughout the afternoon.
Next stop was for this one, parking the car on John Street, then heading off into the reserve and over to GZ. Quickly spotted the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. I had planned on doing some more of the caches in this reserve, but time has caught up with me and I have to call it quits and head back toward Essendon. TFTC Alsume.

Testing the brakes on the mountain bike gave me the excuse for a short round trip and a short stop for a cheeky cache by head-lamp.
Thanks, Alsume.

Out and about with echidna44 for another enjoy day of caching with a new challenge in mind. Its to catch a jewel thief. Having done some prep on what we needed it we are now on their track. Parked and decided to take a walk around the lake. Echinda44 took took the high road and I took the low one. Made no difference. Nicely made camo here. Thanks for the cache Alsume
Out with xambo4u, we were chasing shadows, fingerprints and footprints with extras along the way. A pleasant walk to a well hidden cache with a difference. Thanks Alsume
This is a beaut camo. Loved it. Not much muggle activity out here today.. except for one on this cold wintery day. Thanks very much for the cache.
Found @10:45 after walking over from where I left things at Goose Lake a few weeks ago. Great camo! If not for the road it would be a very peaceful spot, although I’m glad I didn’t come in summer! TFTC!

A quick and simple but but a very well done geocache disguise here at this location today.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for the three geocaches along here, a nice stroll and some excersize this early afternoon.

After a visit to a different type of duck (The Quacks) I called in here on the way back as to help fill a date on my calendar.
Surprised to see a few muggles out and about on a cold morning.
It is a lot nicer along here compared to a few years ago but I parked close by and didn’t get to see much of the path.
I have done the side of the ring road a year or so ago and it was nice to be back around Goose Lake again.
Saw something in the light and soon added my name to the log.
Thanks Alsume TFTC.

We have visited this spot a few times before (pre-cache) so we were quite familiar with it. A short walk with the geodog and we saw the hide easily. Nice spot except for the rubbish around. thanks,

On my way home and a streak to maintain, that's 3 in a row now
A nice short walk after parking in a nearby street, a quick find and just in time as the skies are starting to blacken up as I make my return trip.
**Thanks for placing this cache Alsume**

After a brief search of the area I spotted this cache from the other side. Then I had to relocate it when I got to the correct side. TFTC.
A nicely hidden container, but quickly spotted and deed done while watching a suspicious character out here.

I haven't had much time for caching this year so I made the most of a spare hour and jumped on the bike to head out to the new caches around Goose lake. I had found the previous caches around here a few years ago now and hadn't been back since so I was interested to see how the area had changed.
After picking my way down to gz through the dry grass I spotted a glint in the sun while circling the tree and was able to make the find. Thanks for the cache Alsume.

This bike path needs a CITO big time. You could furnish a home using the rubbish dumped along here. Great for caching though. Goose lake is a lovely spot.

Finally made it to “the other side”. Yes, the grass is actually greener over here.
Cheers Alsume

You should have placed it on top of the concrete thingie, a nice large one with a cow nearby, (just thinking of challenges I need to fill , more livestock and more large caches is what I need ! )
After a bit of walking around the lake, feeding the resident birdlife I did locate this hide, not a muggle in sight Thanks,Alsume, for adding to your caches
**** FTF ****. Mr80 was not long home from his morning walk when he saw these three new caches. He decided to take a look see. After finding Freeway View he headed for this one where with spot co-rods he quickly found the cache and signed on the blank log. Our 100 FTF. Thanks Alsume for this one.
