Very late log, found this back in early 2019 with the usual suspects. Looking at the map planning a little day trip around some jobs for the day and noticed this one as unfound.

Headed SOR today to collect a few smileys, the log was a bit brittle so I only unrolled it slightly to sign tftc

This was an opportunistic find for us today. We parked right next to it whilst preparing to do the nearby Pig series so dashed in to pick it up before we set off in search of Pigs.
Thanks for the cache LAXA

With some spare time this afternoon after work I phoned up Cravo to see if he was available to nab a few caches, grabbed a few before darkness descended upon us and ended the caching run.

Thanks for the hide.

Teamed up with old friend urch to do some puzzle cache finding - it is all fine and well solving puzzles as they pop up, but without actually coming and finding them, they don't get converted to smileys on the map. Even worse, they sometimes get archived and will never earn you a smiley, as has happened to me on more than one occasion. So that was our plan, nothing but puzzle caches today. This puzzle was put in the too hard basket and later retrieved several times before I sent out a lifeline to the CO for a nudge. I really need to stop overthinking things, and to read things more carefully, making the whole process way more difficult than it needs to be. Fortunately finding the cache once at gz was a lot easier. All up we came away with 24 smileys today and just the one blue frowny face, so pretty good all in all. Log signed, and cache replaced as found, then off to the next one. Thanks for setting up this puzzle and placing this cache for the rest of us to come find LAXA

After spending ages solving many of the rapidly mushrooming puzzles popping up all around Perth it was time to get out and start finding some of them and the session today made a small dent in the solved pile.
This one had me going around in circles for a while. After finding the right source my childhood background helped to crack the coords and then it was a quick find at GZ.
Many thanks for the puzzle and the cache LAXA.

On our way into Perth to attend a medical appointment tomorrow. Had worked on some puzzles knowing this visit was in the offing and happy to have found all on our list. A tricky puzzle that had me scratching my head for some time. Thanks LAXA

We looked at this puzzle on the day it was published. We were overseas on holidays and sat and studied it in a bar in Sandakan (with wine of course), then in the KL airport (with wine of course), on the beach in Bali (Bintang this time) and the penny finally dropped with the help of our trusty computer once we were home (with wine of course).
A great puzzle that we thoroughly enjoyed - hic .
A fave for the puzzle and what it taught us.

TFTC LAXA this is find # 4929 for us.

Worked on this one almost everyday since it was published, even took the printouts to Bali with us. Worked on them on the plane, in the hotel, on the beach. Still working on them at home & in the pub. Then finally had a little hint & enjoyed finishing the puzzle together & claiming our smiley. A favourite for the puzzle, which we really did enjoy. ...eventually. TFTC LAXA

Out on a caching run with redlipsandunicorns. The hubby solved this puzzle whilst we were in bali so today we definitely had to pick this one up. A quick find at GZ and a fav point for a puzzle the drove the hubby crazy trying to solve TFTC LAXA

Thanks to the geo dad ooh yeh for solving this puzzle whilst he was on holiday in Bali. Nice quick find on this camo! Quite a few muggles around so stealth will be required in busy times. TFTC

Spent a fair bit of time on this one when it first came out trying various things only to find out later that I was barking up the wrong tree. Started again from scratch and discovered something that I had missed earlier. With the printouts still scattered about my desk I started to follow the instructions and some letters began to appear. It wasn't long before I had some workable coordinates.

The checker wasn't required so I deliberately left it alone to give others the impression it wasn't solved so I could save it for the 1st of the month to keep my streak going. A stretch I know, and turns out a forlorn hope thanks to those pesky cachers from up yonder Wink

Off work a bit early today so decided to come and make the grab, needed the checker in the end for the hint on the cache hide which made for quick find once at GZ.

Awarding a favourite.

LAXA I found your cache at 4:19pm, this was the 2nd of 2 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 4811. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

[^][^]Big Grin ... Whoo Hoo, *FTF* at 12:00am ... Big Grin[^][^]

This puzzle has been sitting on our kitchen bench since when it was first published last Wednesday. Janine was giving it a good going over, all the time trying to get me to utilise more brain power than I was willing to give at the time. Hello?, it's a D4 LAXA puzzle .. as if I am going to solve it Razz

Today I was by myself after Janine went to work and I dropped the kids at school, so i had a quick look again at the printout. An idea suddenly, (and unusually) popped into my head and I thought it might just be worth a go! ... hmmm, could it be?
After the first couple of letters appeared, I rejoiced [^]. But was it really that easy [?] .. a few more letters appeared before my eyes, and yep, it was really THAT easy!
Stoked that I was able to crack this clever puzzle, I packed up my gear and headed off for the hour plus drive to sign the logbook Surprised

Parking close to GZ, I was a little worried by a couple of cars parked there, but I needed not worry as they were workers cars working nearby. I made my way to GZ to find the nicely camo'd container hidden away from prying eyes, where I added my name to the top of the blank log sheet Big Grin

Thanks for the very cool puzzle and cache LAXA .. quite baffled on how you managed to make it work. A fave point for sure .. Well Done Smile
