Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies.The GeoGSP's were in the north of the state again to go and see a play presented by an old friend's community theatre company. The play was last night, so today was a day for catching up with an old friend and we had been all over the place - Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, Deloraine and taking a walk along the river and then we took a tour of Marakoopa Caves. Now I was heading back to Devonport for an event, and noticed I would pass a couple of caches along the way. It's been ages since I've driven along this road, but always enjoy the drive. A nice quick find at GZ.
There is no evidence of recent work within 10m of the location where the cache had been hidden. However, it was missing. So the cache has been replaced and us all ready to be found again.
Looked high and looked low but no luck for us here today. Maybe next time. Thanks
Sadly this was a dnf for us only as good as your last find. Checked all the usual spots but came up empty handed TFTH
Well that was a bit difference I have never a barrier go around the carpark as well as the road side. Gorby made the find but we enjoyed his success as we were a team effort. T4tc
A group of 11 of us from New Zealand have come over to cache in Tasmania, stayed at Hadley Orient Hotel in Hobart for 3 nights. Now staying at Launceston. This is our 6th day here. G-2 is the nominated driver and Pagenz (our tour director) and me are in our rental.
Just a random spot to pull over, so we pulled over. It's necessary to stretch the legs regularly and so I always get out when I can. Got out to help Pagenz find the cache, found it signed it, put it back. I could hear noises from people, looked up and there's big group of people either swimming in the river or talking on it's banks. It looked like some kind of tour thing. Anyway, we carried on to another random spot.

The signal here was poor, so i had to depend on my geosenses for this one! T4tc!!
a bit of a detour to get ere, but that's ok. a quick and easy find.. thanks for another in this most excellent series..!!
On a devious route to Habitat Nursery, Liffey. We needed coffees, so why not go back to Railton to "Gear"House of Grind for a great brew !
Our tour then took us over the Gog Range to this MTM, one of a number I think we still need to log. Found tucked away in a familiar place, and all good here at GZ. Thanks 2y's for another.

Did a run from Deloraine, Mole creek, Sheffield, Railton and back to Deloraine. Out to get some new and caches I missed the last time here in Tasmania. TFTC coordinates spot on.
On my way to a CITO Event at Ulverstone I made the detour to pick up a few caches along the way. This was a quick find with cache and contents in good condition.
With GeoMaggie2. Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
This cache was a bonus. Thanks for placing this cache. Travelling with Angus 88
Had a great afternoon swim here to wind up the year, then a quick cache grab before heading out. Thanks for the cache
Found on our way to the Falls... which we missed the turn off for a nice grab for my muggle friends as they were very excited to grab a geocache with me.
Nice cache. Neat and tidy. Glad we stopped. Tried to see if there were any trout around and were very pleased to spot a little platypus. He didn't hang around long enough to get a photo.
Today we targeted this series while caching with whitewebbs on a nice autumn. The scenery was great and we enjoyed the locations we visited. It was nice to revisit this area again.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks 2y'stassies for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out and about caching in the area with Tassie Trekkers and this was one we found .A great series of caches along the Mersey. A glorious day to be out caching. TFTC
After a Christmas shopping trip to Launceston we decided to travel home along country roads to try to find some caches that had been on our to do list for a bit. We found a cache near here some years ago when the old wooden bridge was in place but we were happy to have an excuse to stop here again and stretch our legs while we searched for the cache. It was a quick find with the aid of accurate coordinates and a useful hint. Thanks for the cache
Quick easy find on our drive home from cradle mountain and Kind Solomon’s Caves. Thank you.
Great enjoyed drive on the way to home from Devonport... Turn on the highland road through to Bothwell..
turn stop to grab and sign the log with good dry..

Found this one with DEZ055 on our way back from doing the GCA cache around the road.
when pulling up at GZ there was a Lady taking photos of the thick fog that was rolling down the valley. stealth was our friend and as she was taking photos we quickly signed the cache and placed it back before she noticed.

A nice and peaceful spot here, made for a quick and easy find
Today with the lifting to stage 2 of COVID19 restrictions almost felt like a free person again in a sense, and with geocaching you don’t seem to come across many people so this afternoon I headed out to mole creek area to collect some new caches around the area as well as pick up 2 FTFs along the way.
Total of 21 finds and 1 DNF for the afternoon.
Thanks for the cache.

Heading up around the Mole’s Creek/Devonport area for a few reasons but mainly to head for a CITO event tomorrow and an event on Tuesday. Today we were zigzagging around grabbing caches that have appeared since our last visit to the area. We have experienced a mixture of spring weather, leaving Hobart in full sun and no breeze and slowly the wind started to get up, went through hail, rain and cooler temperatures then the sun came out again and the temperature rose.
The wind has got up as we went through hail and rain! Missed a cache on our way here but that’s ok! We had to put our coats on here as the temperature has dropped!
Quick find and quick sign so we could get back in the car to work out our next stop!

After 3 FTF's we headed back towards Railton and stopped to grab this cache as well.
We were a bit worried when we pulled up to see a vehicle and a Sacred Heart school bus in the parking area. But there was not a muggle in sight so we have no idea where they were. Luckily they weren't swimming as there was a very large snake in the water swimming downstream.
After dealing with the cache we walked up on to the bridge where we watched the snake, which swam about another 75 metres before heading to the bank.
Then it was up the hill, one Mr Beetle used to race up in hillclimbs many years ago. Don't think the ute reached the speeds the Torano used to back in the 'good old days'.
Thanks.

We're visiting from Arizona USA, ending Week 3 of our top-o'-the-bucket-list tour of eastern and central Australia (WA will have to wait until another day). After a spectacular day at Cradle Mountain yesterday, today we are heading to Launceston, cherry-picking caches as we go.
This took us a few minutes of searching (blame our GPSr, we think it still hasn't figured out how to convert between Metric and Imperial properly ). But once we zeroed in on the search area it was quickly found. Now on to another one in this series. Thanks for the cache.

Found during a fantastic trip touring around Tasmania for the fortnight. Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies!
Out cruising the northwest area today with the Air conditioning cranked up for some relief from the heat. I remember the old bridge before the floods wiped it out. Used to be a popular swimming spot, but no one about today surprisingly. Was a quick find in the likely spot.

After searching for the Ironic Bus Stop a bit upstream, I picked this one up quickly before heading home.
Camping along the Mersey River with Jawapro and exploring some of the 4x4 tracks along the ridge we spotted Union Bridge from a make shift lookout and decided to drive down and hunt for this cache. TFTC
Found while camping a bit further down the Mersey and exploring the Gog range with VCL. Nice cache - assume it was replaced after the floods. TFTC
A group of us from SA are staying in Port Sorell for a few days and today we decided to go for a drive on a wet, grey day but that didn't stop us enjoying the great scenery and all the greeness and water, so different from home.
Took photos here and watched the water for a while before finding the cache...a great spot to visit.
Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies.

Out and about enjoying some sight seeing and finding some caches too. After a very early morning and arrival at Devonport today, we went for a local drive before our checkin time at 4pm. This was another pretty location and interesting information. Thanks for the cache.
Tassie Trip Day 14 - It was decided that some better honey beside the woolworths Yellowbox honney that we purchased at devonport was needed to be in the pantry for our Tassie escapade so off to Cudleigh for some more honey also obtained some more at Mole Creek on our little adventure today.
On our arrival we began a search for the prize and after a short search we were soon rewarded so the log was signed and the cache returned to it resting place.
Thanks 2y'stassies for showing us this interesting location.

Our first day hunting for Hidden Creatures, and we chose to searches for the new releases in the Latrobe, Spreyton and chase 10 FTF's for the MTM series.
We were in search of the Mermaid, we could see a tail in the river. But she was shy.
We were surprised to see a blank log book so will claim an {FTF} at 12.05am
Days total 10 - 10 with 2 x FTF
