Weve been amazed at the changing tides on this river, impressive. This one took a bit of hunting but got there in the end. Cache in great condition TFTC
Finally decided to get some caches close to home, braved the late winter chilly winds TFTC
Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies.
I was sure I've stopped here before, but maybe I didn't search for the cache. It was a bit drizzly today, but as I could park pretty close I stopped and had a look. Sure enough it was a nice quick find at GZ.

After a few very relaxing days in Devonport with muggle friends, I decided to drive home on a few new roads to get a couple of drive by caches. This was a surprisingly lovely park on the side of a somewhat busy road. Great parking and a lovely vista down to the Mersey River. Thought briefly about walking down to the bottom of the hill, but the track was very overgrown and my long drive south called me. There were a few decoys to be explored before making the find of a nice neat cache. Thanks 2y'stassies.
Found it yesterday, dry and in good condition signed the new log book just before the heavens opened.
A nice quick find by Nick! This weekend on our road to 500 finds we are racing to find each cache between our selves! So far I’ve won every single time!
Thanks for the find perfect condition.

There has been a significant cleanup of this area since we last visited and it is possible that the cache has been a casualty. A replacement cache has been provided and located in a different hide, although the hint remains the same.

S 41° 13.850 E 146° 22.798
Coordinates changed to:
S 41° 13.852 E 146° 22.791
Distance from original: 34.4 feet or 10.5 meters.
The replacement cache has been hidden in a slightly different location following a cleanup of the area.

Wasted far too much time on this one. Scratched around in the scrub for ages. Got coordinates spot on but no cache to be found. Just lots of scratches and bites. Don’t think we’ll return for this one.
After easily a 10 minute search in vain i quickly said (post find) "Oh THAT log!" (headslap moment) I wondered why my GPS still said i was about 5 or so metres away
SL of a dry cache log book in A1 condition at 12:08 on Tuesday 23 November 2021.

Out and about caching with whitewebbs on a lovely summers day and found your cache along the way.
Cache and contents were in good condition. No muggles about which led to a quick find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Little search for this one ..but was successful thanks 2ystassies great spot .
Last cache for the day. I'd like to say it was quick, but accessing GZ was hard. Just as well the snakes have better sense than me
We needed a find today to fill a gap on our caching calendar so headed out to try a couple in this area. With the aid of the hint and accurate coordinates mr sharnie's tribe made a quick find. Noone about here today which made our search easy. TFTC

I was prompted to be in the area to look for a couple on new caches at Port Sorell. After finding these and doing the Historic Buildings of Devonport Adventure Lab I am on my way home when I found this. Thank you for placing and maintaining the cache for for our enjoyment.
Quick beautiful view of the river had me sidetracked whilst gridge98 was on the case
Today gridge98 and I headed to the North west to visit the leven gorge and collect a few other caches along the way. A great day out, this cache was found along the way.
Apologies for the late and generic log.

Last time I came here with JL Rockstar we came up empty handed, today walked straight up to it and made a quick find, must have been blind freddie last time.
Today nettieknows and I decided to head out to the Latrobe/Devonport area to pick up some new caches within the area.
Overall 28 caches for the day.

This one has been on the to-do-list for some time. We tried once, but there was a car parked right above GZ. Today was the day, on the way to bag a few in Latrobe. TFTC 2'ystassies
Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies. Dad ended up finding and got the trackable. The cache was in good condition as per usual. Found with chickenman21 and phil1122334455. TFTC!
Tonight with KjStarr we stopped off to attempt this cache and drop off a trackable we had in our possession.
With accurate coordinates and a good hint we located the cache reasonably quickly.
You’ve just gotta have a good look and the cache will reveal itself.
We look forward to completing the rest of the MTM series TFTC

On our way back from Launceston today we called in to check on this cache. The cache is still in place, is in good condition and is waiting to be found. It takes more than a superficial look.
Searched high and low and all possible logs but no triump here today with JLROCKSTAR
A Day off and Geo Kid E's exams are over so it was decided to have a go at the caches around Devonport that had sprung up since the last time we were there - and so many there were.
So we set off at 6 am and returned at 10.15 pm pretty exhausted. The trip included 67 finds and 5 DNF's and about 8 hours driving time.

Thank you for the cache. Maggie the great GeoWestie caching with Carer. found with Angus 88. Easy find
Thanks for the hide 2y'stassies this one has been a source of frustration since January. Been here around five times since then. The very first time I searched I missed it and yet accurate coordinates meant I should have found it. Anyway I have wandered around and looked in every nook since then naturally not finding it. Today armed with more information from an experienced cachers activity log I finally put a smiley face on GZ. Lived up to my name again lol
On the road heading north for an event tomorrow and picking up any caches that we haven’t got! Not quick find at GZ as we were thinking the container would be in rather than under....eventually found it after lifting.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Good hide. I rummaged around and almost gave up. But another smiley added to the logs.
Got it after a bit of bush bashing, where it said it was. Duhhh. All in excellent condition and TFTC.

Series such as this are always a great way to learn more of the local history and geography than given in a tourist brochure.

Checked cache and Trackable Cougar Mountain Macaw Geocoin not in cache MTM - Changing Views
Should have trusted the GPS here and not gone with my gut instinct. After giving up I checked the GPS and realised I needed to be quite a few metres away.
And a big thumbs up to our fire fighters at the moment!!!!
Thanks 2y'stassies for the smiley.
