Logs
Was just sitting on the ground but we placed it back where we believe it was intended,
Zozetta and I have looked for this before, but must not have logged a DNF. It must have been two years ago now. Today we finally returned and found the cache within five minutes. Glad to finally make this a smiley, but I hope that there arent too many more of these cannon caches around! Thanks for the cache 63ROOS!
Great to finally get this one! I reckon it is nigh on 2 years this has been a DNF for us! A relatively quick find this time TFTC!
That was really fun to find, definitely wouldnt find that if we werent looking for it.
We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasnt to be. Based on other peoples logs this one should have been a simple find but no luck for me tonight. Thanks anyway 63ROOS
#20784 - 12:04:48 PM; In Tasmania for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends. Arrived in Hobart last night and today was free for some sightseeing and an opportunity to collect a couple of outstanding LGAs. Managed eleven from twelve today and added Sorell and Glenorchy to the LGA found list. Kingborough is on the agenda for tomorrow, then its only the islands to go to complete the set. First stop in Sorell and a nice quick find and sign, despite my aversion to artillery pieces. Seems the magnets are a bit weak, so the cache isn't as well hidden as it might otherwise have been. TFTC 63ROOS
A little bit of time to kill before needing to head to the airport. A surprisingly quick find here.
This one took me quite some time to locate and then had a head slap moment when I suddenly found it. My heart still sinks when I arrive at a gun TFTC
TFTC. Cache and contents in excellent condition. A very quick find today. Thanks to accurate coordinates and a handy hint.
Keeping my stats in order.I have run out of time to do full logs.FLTF.Thanks 63ROOS TFTC.
This one eluded us before but after a good search today we had the cache I'm hand rather quickly thanks to Scoots good eye!
Today I met up with VK7HCH and Mrs HCH for lots of caching around Sorell.
We did some multis, a few traditionals and lots of solved puzzles.
We even found and retrieved a few caches that required extra equipment to get and replace.
And now that I look on GSAK, I find that one is not by this cache owner.
So thanks to 63ROOS for placing all these 23 that we found today.

After virtually lying on the ground to try and find it. had to rely on my hands to search
Quick grab by Morgo, first place he put his hand. Was expecting a long slog to find this one! TFTC
Been on Flinders Island for the weekend and flew in an hour ago. Stopped here to find a new LGA.
I gloved it early.
63ROOS, I found 1914 war's boom!!! today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

I was in the area after other caches but my initial thought was, "Oh no, a nano on a cannon" but the getting of this cache was prevented by a muggle working nearby. Later when driving past I saw he coast was clear so made the search for a quick find.
Find 9 of 43 during a day first spent amongst the fir trees, then on a lunchtime walk around Sorrell, the TTSS run from Kellevie to Rheban and then an evening walk around Swansea.
These are hit and miss for us (no pun intended). Today was a miss, took a couple of laps to find it and it should have been easy.
TFTC 63ROOS!

Heading from Hobart to Bicheno today. Stopped off at Sorrell to add a new LGA to the map. Looked at the item at GZ and thought this might take a while. Fortunately, second place I looked proved to be the right spot. Cache in good condition and now has our squiggle in it. Thanks for placing this cache!
Finally
After several visits here with rain, muggles, extensive searches, and no luck. Today I found the cache with a nice new blank logbook. Not sure if this was just replaced again, but either way thank you. Great to meet you at the event too. Thanks 63ROOS

Quiet afternoon so was able to have a good look. Didn’t find it but there’s so many places it could be hiding on this a object. Will try another time. Thanks.
Geodaughter was playing footy nearby this morning so thought we would collect some caches around here. Went and had a quick look for this one but too many muggles around to have a proper search. We will be back soon for another look when it's a bit quieter.
Nice to find this one, systematic search as so many hiding spots possible, Thanks for the history 63ROOS TFTC
Batting 2/2 DNFs so far… hopefully I’ll be more successful with the multis I solved!
Found today with AudzOVO.
We finally found this cache. We had looked for it several times before but found it this time. We found it on the last place we looked. Mirrors on a stick and torches helped a bit.
It's been *years* and _years_.

Thanks for the cache, 63ROOS !
Thanks for the cache, 63ROOS !
We had 20 minutes to wait for dinner so off to a nearby cache. Circled about and spotted by torchlight soon enough.. A good use of half our time!
Trip log: Day 3 of 5 with GreyHams on our Tasmanian Caching Trip. A trip planned with counties, and caches of quality as we pass. If your cache made our list it had a quality we sort... thank you for your cache!
We stayed just north of Hobart arriving in the night and awoke to a chilly but lovely sunny day. Mt Wellington was impressive and the white fluffy cloud covering it hid the snow it was covered in for most of the day.
A day of local counties had us in many directions, missing caches and closed roads due to the overnight snow had us changing plans at times but it all worked out well.
Hobart was an interesting and super enjoyable place that had a nice feel about it, I did enjoy Hobart... It's just a lovely area with the hills and water and so much historic buildings and homes.
A great DT cache had GreyHams out in the water, super cold water that ended up a swim. Huge appreciation and respect for that, it was freezing fully clothed and dry!
Down past Port Arthur for a very old virtual late in the afternoon had us driving through yet more interesting scenery. It was later by the time our search for accomadation was complete but Sorrel delivered with rooms and dinner.
An enjoyable day in and around Hobart, the waterways, mountains and valleys... Tasmania continues to impress as we cache our way around.

Aquilus1 and I have been on a mission.....a mission to collect Australian states/counties. The target this time was Tasmania, with neither of us having found a cache yet in Tassie. So a loop was planned, starting/finishing in Lonny (even the plane pilot called it this!! Love that!). I was driving so my logs are a little more generic than Aquilus1's, my apologies.
Day #1 Leave Canberra at sparrows, transiting through Melbourne and collecting our car....first things first was to get the oldies along the cataract gorge, which was great as Aquilus1 had never been to Tassie before and its a great place to start. Onwards up the Tamar and then zigzagging across through Devonport, Burnie and eventually ending at Stanley.
Day #2 had us go back to Devonport for a FTF......yay! Then onto Hobart, via Queenstown! Long day through blizzards, hydro power and SO MUCH NOTHING! Beautiful nothing of course
Day #3 around Tassie.....into Huon valley, freezing to death in the water in Clarence, passed Port Arthur to see some caves and ending up in Sorrell
Day #4 was power trailing large letterboxes until we had to head back north to Lonny, via Buckland, Oatlands, Fingal and Scottsdale..... dodging wildlife after dark.....so scary!
Day #5 was a quick duck over to Flinders and back..... car rental place thought we were nuts! Then back to Canberra, safe and snug under my blanket for the -5 night.....now THATS cold!

Thanks a lovely spot to stop. Over from Geraldton WA so my husband can play in an 8ball comp in Hobart.
With a developing thirst i decided to go grab an Iced Coffee, but first i thought i'd just pull up here and have a poke for this one. Walked over to the big-banger and found the booty in the 2nd place i looked... i literally placed my hand straight on it [^] in under a minute. Sweet As Bro!

TFTC after grabbing a few caches in Richmond now it was time to check out Sorell. Camping at the town camp ground. Bigger town than we thought. Loving Tassie
Touring Tassie in our motorhome and finding some caches along the way. We set up in the RV stop and went for a wander around town. Being market day it was busy near GZ but nobody seemed to take any notice of us as we grabbed the cache and signed the log. TFTC
Suscoe was out enjoying their last full day in Hobart.
It was a lovely day with lots of sunshine and a cool breeze.
We wandered around the city and out to the east as far as Sorell.
A pretty good day for caching and we had a great time.
Thanks to 63ROOS for this hide, all quiet for us here and so a quick search and soon the cache was found.
All good here today.

Great our enjoyed journey along around the Hobart and few countries.Found your cache today. 63ROOS, thank you so much for placing it.
Thank you for the cache. Maggie the great GeoWestie caching with Carer. i know the place from the ground up now
Hi 63Roos this little cache has been a while in the finding. Just feels very mugglish most times of the day so like a few of your other caches in the area including Ring Ring I had planned to come and find it at night. However despite the logic I floundered around looking low and couldn't come up with the goods on two previous attempts. Today I just decided to wander along around 2pm and thankfully it was very quiet and a quick find was made that seemed unusual as it was away from the hint. No sooner had I logged and the CO messaged me as she had been looking to do maintenance on the cache and it hadnt been in the place she put it. So all should be good to go in the correct spot with this little cache that has a very strong magnet, just dont do it on a Sunday morning unless you love the challenge ha ha.
A quick find when we got to GZ
This one certainly has seen some action.
Thanks for sharing this interesting spot

Out for a quick cache run with FWBs, so this was the first of 20. Taking us through Richmond, Sorell and Midway Point before heading home. My favourite cache hide. Some sigh when they see these, but I smile. The hunt is always fun playing with the old toys. Sometimes I wish I could hook it up and tow it away.

While out about with Whitewebbs we headed to Forcett and down to Sommers Bay and surrounds to find some caches and this was one of them.
Luckly it was a fairly quick find, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
