I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi Lagerwaards

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

The Central North Island, Day 3: Tauranga - Taupo

A slight rainy and overcast day today as we move southwards from the Bay of Plenty to Lake Taupo via Te Puke and Rotorua. The rain didn’t hinder the search much throughout the day. In fact, it was pleasant for most part and kept the muggles at bay. Had plenty of fun searching out some quality caches along the way, and enjoyed the views and had a little cruise at the end of the day too.

The following is the specific log for each cache:
Nice artwork here with ample parking too. Skulked around the GZ for a bit looking at old logs and trying to figure out where it was. Spotted a stray jandal and a trash or two before getting the cache. TFTC!

Thanks Lagerwaard another quick find while out on the bikes

09-Oct-18
Tftc. This was our 3rd find of the day. Kids spotted the skate park and off they went, leaving me and yodabeach to find this one. Definitely lower than the hint suggested. In fact we almost gave up. But a last rummage turned up the goods! Lots of rubbish around at gz.

09-Oct-18
Took a bit of fossicking around but got there in the end. Tb out. Kids were offered free sausages!! Tftc

26-Sep-18
Very windy with a chance of showers - which meant we had the place to ourselves for a good look around. Soon spotted a likely suspect and so it was found. If it was not supposed to be at ground level it must have fallen. However, the cache is all good. In TB. TFTC

This was my last cache to pick up in Te Puke and it was proving to be a little bit tricky for us. We were reluctant to put our hands to far into the garden but in the end we wouldn't have to. I figured if we stared pensively into the garden long enough someone would take pity on us and give us a hand as previous logs suggested. It didn't take too long for the CO to turn up and bingo, the cache appeared. Coords were good, the hint was prefect, we're just useless. Nice to meet you Lagerwaards, TFTC. Great series Smile

Chasing Mythical Creatures points this afternoon. I need some quick finds, as time and weather are not on side...

I was hoping to rack up most of my required points with this new series of caches in Te Puke... I passed a woman sheltering in the bus stop and continued onto ground zone. Several groups of people also wandered down the path, so I took my time to survey the area while waiting for them to pass by. I spotted the cache after one lap. As I was retrieving the cache, the woman from the bus stop arrived and told me all about the hidden container and the people that have been looking for it... The secret is out! TFTC.

Tonight was only planned earlier in the week when the weather looked to be fantastic for a little detour to the BOP.
So in the company of kiwis69, HKCB & 11HPG11 we set off from home at approx 6pm and made it back home at 4am with only rain for about the first hours of the nights adventure.
There were quite a number of different caches collected in the progression acrodd the countryside as we were all working to collect some more caches all of course for the "Hidden creatures" challenge for the month.
Some of us had made great inroads to this and with only a few days to go I need all that I can as always a late starter.

Thanks to all the CO's for their caches and maintaining their caches

13-Jul-18
A few of us managed to get a leave pass for tonight, as the numbers for the Hidden Creatures souvenirs. So after a quick call around Kiwis69, 11HPG11, Cats&Dragons and myself decided another night assault in and around Tauranga was a good idea. The general plan was to start at the Southern end and work our way North, and hopefully be home in time to get at least a few hours sleep.

With the rain easing a few hours into the trip the night turned out to be rather successful with all caches attempted being found, for a grand total of 22 to add to the creatures tally. A big thanks to the CO for the hides.

First on the cards was to locate the new caches around Te Puke. Most were fairly quickly finds with the odd one or two that took a bit longer to find.

13-Jul-18
Out and about on a Friday night mission to collect some more caches and work our way closer to some more hidden creatures. Tonight our group consisted of Cats&Dragons, HKCB and kiwis69. Signed logs as HOAC or with our names where space permitted.

A familiar park now, thanks to geocaching. A busy place tonight but luckily no one was around this side and we soon had the cache in hand.

13-Jul-18
Out on a nocturnal mission with 11hpg11, cats&dragons & HKCB to grab some caches towards the “hidden creatures’ challenge ... unlike our northern hemisphere counterparts, we’re contending with winter and long dark nights but, heh, that just adds to the challenge! We started early evening in fairly heavy rain, wondering about our sanity, but thankfully the weather improved and we had a lot of fun dashing about the BOP on a star-light night. A few logs were signed with the team name ‘HOAC’ to save space.

No-one around when we were here, which made it easy to search. We all had different ideas about what the hint meant, and HKCB was the one that came up trumps. Thankfully no need to get into the undergrowth, and get any wetter, log signed & replaced, TFTC

12-Jul-18
In Te Puke for the afternoon to clean up the new caches. We found NZflossy here as well. Well, actually she had the cache in hand as we arrived at GZ. Have been here before. Interesting artwork around and now that schools out, lots of kids in the playground, doing what kids do.

Thanks Lagerwaards. One more smilie.

12-Jul-18
On a road trip to Te Puke to pick up this new series. Love the exhibitions around this area and the art gallery close by. Had to hunt a bit for the cache but still in a easy spot and don't need to go into garden TFTC

09-Jul-18
I can resist anything except temptation. So, parked up and wandered over. Only a quick survey was possible as a muggle was having a pie next to GZ. Went to hunt dinosaurs on the other side of the supermarket and returned as the pieman left, allowing me to make a quick find. I do wonder how long this cache will last in this very public place, though. TFTC.

08-Jul-18
This was too exposed so I placed it back in the same place but slightly lower and out of sight.

07-Jul-18
With a full belly hunting resumed. A bit of clean up in the bushes and we soon found it. thanks for the hide

#706 - Came for a trip to Te Puke to pick up all the caches. Had a lunch break at The Daily cafe across the road- that was yummy, and then back into finding another one in your series, this one was a bit trickier to find.. but we got there in the end. TFTC

06-Jul-18
Got to GZ only to find what looked like a homeless man sitting in the way so started to pick up the odd bit of rubbish.Wandered around the other end to run into Faye Of Fap and Gap.To gether we poked & probed until I finally came up trumps.Signed it together, replaced & on our way to your next one. Thanks Lagerwaards, all good.

06-Jul-18
This was far to easy as it was sitting on top of the garden..signed the log and replaced with better cover...thanks Largerwaards nice tidy placement

05-Jul-18
We knew this had already been found, but we were here anyway. The "nightlife" of Te Puke was "pumping" and the area was very busy - not sure about some of the inhabitants though. A group was quite close to gz, but they prefered their own company and soon moved off as we pretended to be busy on our phones (well we were!). The cache was soon found and signed. I hope this stays safe here and it's certainly a busy spot. Thanks for the cache placement Lagerwaards, keep them coming.
