Walked down the drain track before scrambling back up the bank to GZ, otherwise a quick find here, TFTC
Beaut evening and afternoon., All the rope swings where in use. The carpark was packed.
**20,069**Still picking the grass seed out of my shorts after walking through the long grass to the cache. Nice big cache container, a bit light on anything else! TFTC
Got to gz after a bit of a yomp through the underbrush. Spotted an easier way in once I got to GZ. Such a shame that such a large cache container was so empty. TFTC
On a raid over the hill today.
Heading for the Wairau bar. This was my first find for the day.

Found just as the sun was setting close to our accommodation! I'm so impressed it hasn't washed away!
Found the cache container opened on the ground with the log beside it ,Put back in tree .
Came out today to explore this area while Coco our cat looked after motorhome. Wow this is a great cache container and can now understand why it doesn't disappear in floods. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache GH6710.
Got it yesterday but forgot to log it. had glow in the dark smurf in it really cool and easy geocache
I had to circle around once and back to where I started in order to find the cx. Nice size for this location. TFTC.
Nice little hide, snug & dry, minding it's own business. Watch out for lots of baby hornet-looking insects crawling around. Back at the Bar in my 4WD, looking for hides down gnarly roads I don't have time to walk down/wasn't brave enough to drive down in my 2WD! TFTC:)
We parked at the car park and set off along the track beside the river, until it ended, after which we followed a slight track through the very overgrown area. The cache was quickly found when we reached it, but we took the easier route along the grass beside road for our return. TFTC
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to visit!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*Another good cache located, short search in the long grass - now onto the next one!*
Last day of our 3 week geocaching trip in the South Island.

In Marlborough for the weekend finding a few caches. After finding a few caches up the Pukaka Track, I had time to wander around and find a few more before heading for home. Nice one! Parked my car and wandered along to GZ. Cache spotted when I got to the right angle. TFTC, Biggles.
Found it! Took me a while, especially when I had to go back to grab a pen.. whoops! But eventually spotted it. Great hiding place! TFTC!!
Still stuck in Blenheim so trying to make the most of it. Hired a bike so that I could go a bit further out of town and collect some more smileys. Started with the cycle track up to Spring Creek. Nice sized cache here. All fine. Thanks
Easy find on a wintery day. Gps not working too well to start with but once settled it was fairly obvious where we needed to be, tftc
Z11 for the first find of the day. The kids thought this was a particularly cool geocache.

Roaming around the South Island doing TMGT caches and any others that are nearby as well as attending a few meetings here and there. When we arrived a young couple were just returning to their vehicle after swimming in the river and on our way to GZ there was anther person out there. Must be a popular spot. Mr S went for this one because Mrs S's knees are not up to scrambling through undergrowth. He soon found it and returned by a different route.
Thanks for another smilie around Blenheim GH6710. That's all for today.

Stopped off to look for this one on my way back from the TMGT cache. No worries finding it. TFTC
Today's mission was coming down to the Wairau Bar area to collect the Geotour cache and others along the way. Out with the family PDH_NZ who live down here but have never travelled down the road. Nice spot here. Have looked at this spot on a few visits, but with flooding etc, had to abandon any idea. Today it was perfect conditions to make our way in and eventually find the cache. SL. TFTC.
Out on a mission with NanaAuckland aka Darby&Joan to locate the geotour cache and others in the area. Embarrassingly, we have never travelled down this road in all the years we have lived here. But have now spotted a nice place to launch the boat. SL. TFTC.
Find #36 for MnAJ - wild fennel is Mum's nemesis, so the kids had to find this one without me. Easy find when they were in the right location. Dropped a wee 3D geocaching logo keyring that Dad printed. Tftc.
Found on a short walk from Damfam Vineyard where we are spending New Years Eve. Forgot to put a pen in our pocket so took pic instead to prove we found it. TFTC and Happy New Year
After checking the movement of rain clouds, we packed up and decided to head north for a few days' adventure! I had all active geocaches I have not found yet in the South Island loaded on the GPS, but not particular plan as we only decided that morning. We ended up finding quite a few cool caches and had heaps of fun! I certainly made this much harder for myslef than I needed to!! TFTC!!
A nice spot to park under a tree and go for a walk. Looks like a bit of rain of recent with all the mud but the cache is just fine. Cheers
A nice quick find today with Ms_KR. It looks like the water has been high not too long ago. Cheers.
Christmas holiday road trip to Auckland. Day two, puddle around Blenheim/Picton till ferry time, then cruise to the camp ground when we get to Wellington.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Seen, but couldn't reach it, so a good job that Karma Reprint was here on the other side of GZ. Lovely smell of dill all around. A few people here for picnics but nobody exploring further, apart from us. Bonus was finding a 4 leaf clover so off to Picton with a happy face .
A quick find today while in the general area doing trapline work and an Earthcache at Grovetown Lagoon.
I quickly walked the track on the other side of the bridge looking for an old archived cache. That seems to be gone, but no worry, I can tag this one.

There are no trackables in this cache. Could the CO please mark it as missing. (Stopped by to collect it to take to Australia in a few days. I guess that is not going to happen).
This was the final find for me and spacenarwhale today; five looked for and 5 found!
We walked along the riverside for this one and surprised a couple of whitebaiters on their lunch break. Once we arrived at GZ we spotted the cache quickly and managed to get it open without too much trouble. We had passed our car and restocked our pockets with swag, so dropped some items here. (EDIT--I've just seen on the cache page there should be a trackable here. We did not see it.)
Thank you for the cache, it's always nice to find an ammo can!

Walked straight into a cobweb on the way to this one. Once I got that off my face we continued on and soon found the cache. No TB in there, looks like it was removed back in July and not logged. Logbook signed and we headed back to the car. tftc
Out and about collecting caches for the latest challenge "Mystery at the Museum"....
I have investigated the scene and am now finding the stolen gems.
Parked up in the mucky pot holed carpark.... pleased to be the only one here. Wandered to GZ and made a QEF. Grabbed TB out.

Called here on a leisurely but slightly indirect drive from Picton to Kaikoura this afternoon. A quick find here and my favourite container type. Signed log, TFTC.
A bit of roadworks nearby, so tried on way back down the road and had to push geocycle-r down the riverside track.
Today's journey will take us from Picton to Christchurch our home town. We crossed Cook Strait using the Inter Islander last Saturday and back again last night. Today is day ten, our last day of a very enjoyable campervan holiday. We are
shopping for just a few geocaches on the way back. I cose this one for prking and size. I dropped 2 trackables off. is Easter JDScout and I are off on an East Cape adventure. We are driving in our campervan from Christchurch. This has been something we always wanted to do. I am combining this trip with geocaching.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au
If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.
Thanks for hiding this geocache.

I had a bit of time to spare before the airshow at Omaka later this afternoon so I spent it at Spring Creek. After finding a couple of caches further up (or was it down?) the river I returned to the car park and quickly found this nice sized cache. TFTC GH6710.
There was a couple having lunch on the riverbank near the carpark but far enough not to be a worry to us. Quick find with Nanzie, thanks GH6710

A lovely walk beside the river I haven't been down here before a nice easy find Thanks for this cache GH6710
It's cool in the shade here but very hot in the sun today. Goid to see a decent sized cache and well tethered. Thanks for the placement GH670
Wow..there is no missing that log book...guess irs there for the duration ...nice area ..thanks for the nice placement
Called in this morning to rotate my GC/TB haul. Added around 15 and grabbed the same number. CO has a list of these additives in his work inbox to make it easy
Pretty quick find early this evening with eltee291 and crman1. Nice big cache in a beautiful area! Signed the log and replaced as found. Dropped off 9 travel bugs to move along. Visiting from Victoria, BC, Canada. Thanks for the cache, GH6710! A favorite!
Found today with hingis20, crman1, and coastalmartinis. Great hiding spot in a beautiful location. Have come frome Victoria, BC, Canada to visit with my daughter and her family in Blenheim and, of course take in some of the great geocaching here. Really great to be enjoying summer in January. TFTC. Dropped off a bunch of TBs
Found it, lots of people around so had to be a bit stealth. Placed traceable found in Shannon last week. Hope it travels well
It's great that this area is in line for a makeover, looks like an awesome place for swimming. TFTC .
Mrs Sobad's target for the day was 29 caches - or more. No pressure. Luckily for her, Sidewaze was also keen on a full caching day and so a trip over the hill was planned. Most of the caches looked for were previously unfound by us both but a few were just for Mrs S. After a few DNF's this became cache 29 - and it was nice to find a regular of this type to mark the total.
Thanks..
Thanks..
Out in the area doing some spring evening caching when Kiwimykl stopped here for me to pick up this one. Kiwimykl retrieved the TBs to take them further on their journey. He mentioned the camo had deteriorated somewhat since when he found it.

#6154. I have several work meetings in Blenheim so have come over from Wellington for a few days for a combination of work and leave. Picked up a rental car and headed to the hotel to drop off my gear. There was Just enough time to grab a few caches today. So travelled up to Spring Creek to pick up several in this area. Wandered over to the river and then looked around for a minute or so and soon spied the cache. Good to see a decent size cache. I have a few bigger trackables picked up at the Wellington mega and its nice to have a suitable place to start them on a road trip around the South Island. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here GH6710.
