Right we are off cache hunting. Its been a few weekends so we are all ready. We are hoping to gather as many here in the park as we can today. We made quick work of some lunch and headed off. Master 9 spotting the correct location for this one pretty swiftly Mr KBclan shimmied down to sign the log and replace it. Off to a good start. TFTC
Second cach tonight. Quick find no issues. Police chopper was flying around here to night. Thanks G-2
that hint with the concrete post was a bit strange, but then we found some fence wire which led is to the concrete post and then it was fairly easy TFTC
We are happy to find another cache here, after being greeted by a happy furry friend in the dog park. Alles Gute! Tftc
Second find of the day! Not to many muggles about for this one, so after a wee hunt we had this one. TFTC
**#19,554**YESSSS, a find is always more sweeter after a DNF, the days tally now sits at 5 find and 4 DNF's...Did require a bit of hunting around for the hint items, soon found it a little further down hill.
After a DNF at pare walk #3 it was time to head off and find this one. Upon arriving at GZ we started looking for an obvious place and I expanded the search and spotted the cache out in the open and also just kind of dripped down with the lid off.Despite the cache being open, it was still in good condition, Reveurs signed it for us and I put it back together correctly and replaced it a little more discretely. Tftc #1624
Again no luck for me here....spent another good amount of time here and located a couple of the hinted items, but nothing to be spotted.....
Despite the rain, I wanted to get a few caches this weekend. I headed to Paremoremo to pick up Sid, and we decided to go for a walk around Sanders Reserve and see what we could find!
We ended up with 5 DNFs (aka reasons to come back) and 8 finds, with 6 not attempted. Definitely an excuse to come back!
This was our last one for the day, and was a quick find… accompanied with “Careful… don’t fall down the bank!!! Be careful!!!”

Out with Team Gold today collecting a few caches in the Albany area. Another quick find with the hint. TFTC
Team G0LD was on another geocaching trip to Auckland. A group of 4 hiders sharing their passion and knowledge of cache making was the main event today.
We left Whangarei at a reasonable hour (7am) this morning to spend the morning walking around Sanders Reserve at Paremoremo. We were very fortunate the weather played ball.
It took a bit of clambering around before I spotted the hint item. DaffyNZ then retrieved the cache from his higher vantage position. I'm surprised the other two caches here disappeared. Thanks for the cache

Team G0LD on a mission again today, with the 4 hiders event in the afternoon the main target. A walk around Sanders Reserve at Paremoremo was also planned if the weather held up, and it did, thank goodness.
Continuing on our walk this morning and a nice quick find here with the good hint, TFTC

I'm having a ball today, the e-bike is getting me everywhere and I'm enjoying not having to overwork my arthritic knee. There's a time and place for that. Concrete post was soon spotted and the cache soon after that. Nice one G.
Gps is playing up today but thankfully Tas had found this one previous so pointed me in right direction. Quick read of the hint & it was located.
Wandered on up to GZ and knew roughly where this one would be but it actually took a couple of minutes to find this one as I didn't venture far enough into the bush! It wasn't until I took a couple steps back when I noticed the concrete post the hint was referring too. Made my way down past the tree and signed myself in. I could only see this pill bottle today, so hopefully this was the correct cache as others have noticed two hides here?! TFTC G-2!
Had recently been given a training schedule for a sport that I do called "Adventure Racing" as we have national qualifiers coming up next month. Part of the requirements were to go on a 15km bike ride... I had other ideas though as I wanted to go on a big bike ride from Northcote to Paremoremo and collect a few caches up this way including GC5P2YZ as it would fill in a D/T rating All in all, I ended up enduring a 46km bike ride which is by far the longest I've done in recent times... Pretty good I say considering I developed a bit of a light fever halfway through the ride! Thanks to the CO's for their hides

having not had any luck looking for this cache a few months ago we stumbled upon not one but two caches hidden at this location. TFTC
Found the bison last signed by Friwinz in 2020 AND the camo one last signed by Jomapper87 and avoyager on 30 Dec 2021. Both caches were close together and we're a very quick find.
Signed both logs, one as HP family, the other our normal logging names.

Doggy walkers are early birds too & here i came across a dog owner & dog near GZ. They werent moving on anytime soon, so i stood and watched the sunrise through the trees.
After an age, dog & owner walked off. I darted to GZ to make a quick find. TFTC

11 and 9 year old found this one. Also not sure if this is the latest but signed none the less. Thank you.
Nice find for mr 4 who didn’t manage to find the last one! Thanks for a great cache
A day out in the Suppa City with KGD and ABCDF4 to tidy a

Find number 7021. On a mission with ABCDF4 and eyespyben to grab a few caches in this area. I really enjoyed the walk around this park. Lots of people and dogs in one area while it was quiet in the other half. Thank you for bringing me here.
Decided to have a day cacheing day just out of Auckland
With EyespyBen and KGD
Never been out to Sanders Reserve
Lovely walk,nice easy find

HA, neither me nor two previous finders could find this cache for love nor money. After nearly giving up I found a trade mark G-2 cache but I don't think its the most recent one [?] [?] [?]The last signature on it was alunb's signature signed in 2017 [?] But the cache is in pristine order and I replaced it as per description in hint instead of where it had fallen down the bank.
Second stop but the boys started complaining we were stopping too often so we spaced them after that and left some caches for another visit. Quickly spotted the item from the clue and then the cache. TFTC
Got a funny look going down the bank a bit by the dog walker passing the spot. TFTC
Almost a dnf on my first pass by here but wasn't going to let this defeat me so tried again after lunch. Success came quickly. Sometimes this just happens. Tftc
I found the hint item quickly, but took a few minutes to finally find the cache. TFTC.
As we arrived at gz we were wondering where the hint item could be but we quickly spotted it and then it wasn’t long until the cache was in our hands.
Caught back up with mrs capperz here and soon spotted the host item. I soon made a bee-line for the cache and the log was fished out and signed as per. All good and released again to be found another day, cache and release.
Well it seems we truly are in G-2 land, 2nd weekend day caching and a second double figure haul day, a modest 11 for today to add to yesterdays 10 in Long Bay and an increase in this CO's caches nudging a few South Island cache hiders down 'the list'. A good day to be out today, just a little bit of squally rain then clear and sunny for the rest of the day. Was a bit squishy underfoot in places, but nothing my sneakers didn't cope with.
Looks like I'm just a week behind South Island Kiwimykl and NZDi for the second day in a row and a great place out here at Sanders Reserve. I had slight hopes of clearing the lot but a DNF and patience losing wife had me dialling back the targets and pledging to return for the rest another time.

Found with NZDi. We are up from the South Island for the week with our extended family for a holiday and took a break this afternoon for a bit of caching. Having scoped out the area as a target rich environment a couple of weeks ago when planning for the trip, we came to see what we could find given the 90 minutes we had before dinner.
Having spent most of the last week with our extended family, we took a couple of hours out to do some caching. We were thinking of doing the 101 Dalmations series, but soon tired of that and decided to come back here where we enjoyed geocaching yesterday.
As we approached GZ we saw a lady walking her dog coming in the opposite direction so decided to wait for her to pass before commencing the search. As she got closer she said 'You're geocaching, aren't you?' It turned out she was a part time cacher who had been out caching with her daughter only yesterday. She said she had found most of the caches around here, so we asked for a steer on this one. She couldn't recall it. After she had gone we made a relatively quick find after noticing the tell-tale sign.
Shortly after this find we made another find... a set of car keys on the track.

For some reason with the detailed hint I still struggled to find this one. The hint item was easily found, it was the cache container that took a lot more effort.
Thankfully it wanted to be found, and I was able to retrieve the log from its hiding place.
Thanks for the hide G-2's Bodyguard

Was pleased when we found this one quickly, per the helpful hint, as I'd searched for one of it's previous incarnations a couple of times, with no luck. Tftc
Out and about with Team Welsh, had a lovely walk, talk and collecting of caches. Beautiful area and great views. T4tc

Didn't have much luck finding stuff today. This was a rare exception.

I wanted to get out for a walk and grab a few caches on this public holiday and picked this relatively close park. I managed to find eight of the ten caches I attempted which is not bad in under two hours.
I had to delay a little here with a family making their way past GZ. Once at GZ though the hide was quickly spotted and the easy find made.

This hide was places in between my visits at Sanders Reserve but still new for me. Nice and easy with the hint. TFTC
It was time to head back out to Sanders Reserve to find all the new caches that had appeared this week. I left early to find a few more on the way and to complete the walk before it became too hot.
I took my pack off to reach down and retrieve this cache. Initially, I didn't spot anything but soon spied something of interest which led me to the concealed cache. Had to wait out for some muggles walking their dog to pass by before emerging from the bushes.

AlunB graciously clambered down the bank for me (even though he had found this cache previously). Although he couldn't find it a first and I had to point out where it was, as sitting at top I could just see it poking out from cover. TFTC
Had to dodge a couple of dog walkers, a ride a little on the footpath, but no real problems.

Mum (SethRaven) is up staying with us for the night and what better way to spend time together than to find more geocaches . . . . . I dove right in and quickly had this one in my hands . . . . TFTC
Up this way staying with my son 2FLYTim. Decided we would head here first to grab a few and check out the bike trails before the daughter in law had to go to work. Tim had this one found very quickly and we moved on to find another. TFTC
Quick search before Run Auckland 5km. Nowhere to be seen Perhaps it has rolled down the hill?
We had set of insect bombs in the house, so had to evacuate the house for a few hours. It was a lovely sunny Winters day so headed to Sanders Reserve with Merlot to find this replacement cache. There were a lot of muggles enjoying the park today, but we ducked off into the bush to find this one. Merlot took the high road and MrsJag took the low road and soon spied this bison.
As we were already in Riverhead and the weather was so nice Mrs Jag and I decided to make the trip to Sanders Reserve and find this replacement cache. Lots of people in the park today which was good to see and we had no problems finding the cache
I decided to take advantage of this overcast day and spend some time walking; collecting caches as I went. This was my first stop of the day and only stop in Sanders Reserve as this is my only unfound hide in this park. I parked up in the car park and made the short walk along the tracks to GZ. I ducked in and down and soon came up with the goods. I remember finding the previous hide around about near here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Out for a bike ride so stopping to grab a few that we missed on our last visit. Thanks!
Had been meaning to come out here for ages and today was the day. Lovely views across the harbour and very peaceful until the siren went off from the prison!! Nice quick find and time to go home. TFTC
Had a free moment this morning so popped out here for a nice walk in the sun and another quick find at the GZ. Found the previous one here also so was nice to smilie up the Reserve again. TFTC
Have found the previous caches here, but headed out today after work to knock over another dot day. Quickly spotted a subtle tell tail sign of the cache, nice hide, cheers
Well in the area we noticed this fairly new one and decided since we were here we would get this one as well.
Back to Sanders Reserve today to find this new cache. Always a lovely place for a wander while enjoying the views. Once at GZ we soon saw where the cache was likely to be, and one of us descended to retrieve the cache and sign the log. Thanks !
Saw this lonely cache was still waiting to be found !
So I picked up ric as he had a free morning too and came out here managing to avoid the showers....
But Kiwiscot had beaten us to the FTF.
Happy enough to be second!
Thanks Glyn!

Swung by here before heading on up to Wainui for 9 holes of golf. Sunny when I arrived but the rain started while I was searching for the cache. Took several looks around the hint location before the hide was found. Daily cache sorted plus a (FTF) as well. Hopefully the rain moves on soon. TFTC
Visited today with my Nanny.
Great playground there, but she is very strict and I wasn't allowed to play. Tftc
