Enjoying time in the great outdoors with OutRangerous and grabbing some caches along the way. Signed as ORC. TFTC
Strolling around the banksia trail. This one had us looking on the wrong side but all good
We found this one on our leisurely stroll in this beautiful nature reserve. As it was so windy today, the birdlife was not as prolific as we might have hoped. I think the birds are sheltering from the wind! Beautiful Trals here.

Just what I needed for the afternoon a stroll amongst nature. The gaiters went on so did the mozzie spray.
A variety of caches by a variety of CO some easier than others but all eventually found. a pleasant caching experience thanks to all the CO for this series
This cache Almost had me beat...the extra long sleeve jacket ended up going on as the mozzie spray wasn't enough.

A wedding had us staying in Barwon Heads this weekend. We had some spare time this morning so though we'd take the opportunity to grab a couple of caches. This was part of the loop we chose.
A really enjoyable morning was had.
Many thanks to Chan 5456 for placing and maintaining this cache.

So enjoying this walk, so much for the little to see and here. And nicely shaded for us all. Thanks for placing this cache here
Nice day for a walk with the geowife and the 4 geokids. Not to hot and not to cold. TFTC
Got a bit confident on the approach on where the cache would be - should have known better! It wasn't where we thought it would be, but the prize was quickly spotted, log signed (slightly damp and dishevelled but still able to make our mark) and everything replaced as found. Still 0 for 0 in spotting wiggly sticks, so pretty happy with that!
Out grabbing a few today and tried for these caches, Like the info says the mozzies are plentiful and very large, a couple of them could carry you off...

Visiting from Canberra and found this cache on a caching tour of Ocean Grove with our dear friends suss vulture. Unfortunately found this cache out in the open but we made sure to cover it when we left.......hopefully we've put it in the right spot! TFTC!
Nice quick find for us today!

Aha! Not where I expected it to be and much bigger than a micro. Effectively a small. Cache in good Nick though. Damn mozzies!!!!!
GPS was moving around a bit, but after poking around in a few places we found it!
After a thorough search we almost gave up! Closer and smaller than we expected!! Be careful of the spider webs!!
Found it in the end. Nice place to stop and look around.
Log slightly damp.
Thanks

Got it. Lucky the mozzies are still sleeping. Hoping the snakes don't come out. Tftc.

The point of the day was to make it to The Sims family bbq event in the evening.
To fill in the rest of the day we decided to head to Ocean Grove and just do what we wanted.
We found a cache at the Ocean Grove Nature's Reserve but didnt plan to do the whole lot as I didnt think Id be able to do the lot.
Well, we ended up doing the whole thing and I loved it. Fortunately I read that the mozzies were fierce here so we coated ourselves in bug spray but eventually that sweats off so we still got a few hardy little buggers trying for a meal.
I haven't spent too much time in this area but will definitely be pushing to come back as we barely scratched the surface.
Later in the day, we got to the Ocean Grove coastline and saw the ocean and got blown about by the wind.
By the end of the day, I was sunburnt and windburnt. Still happy as a pig in mud. A nice area.
Later in the day we cached around Ceres and Deakin Uni.
All in all a good day.
Thanks to the hiders.

We decides to head down to Ocean Grove then make our way around Geelong and finish off catching up with fellow cachers at the evenings event in Ceres
We were only going to get 1 in this area but the terrain looked ok so we headed around the park and managed to find them all here.
The only things we had trouble with was the mozzies in a couple of areas and the 2 large trees that were down on the West Track. But these just made for an interesting walk.

I made this one much harder than what I need to be it’s there, I just need to look
Been out all day hitting the "non-essential" retail now that we have hit our 80% double vax rates. Everyone else was exhausted from their busy day so it was just the geo-kid and I who decided to head out on a whirlwind trip around this lovely park. Lots of clambering over fallen branches and dodging puddles to get to this one. This was find number 4 for the geo-kid this evening. My tally is 2 . Thanks Chan 5456 for the cache placement and for bringing us here tonight. We were jogging now in-between caches as the sun had almost set and we were running out of light.

A great day out for an afternoon walk and a hour and half from home. The day was cool but not wet or windy, so this was a great afternoon to be had amongst the trees and geocaches.
No mozzies in this weather and a simple find at this location today.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today. We have been eyeing this location off for some time, but with the wet weather and risk of mud underfoot we didn't plan the day until recently when we knew the ground would be dry and not too wet in the grasses,

I've been meaning to come back to the reserve since I found the first group of caches in here and enjoyed the walking tracks. Today I had a bit of spare time and decided to head back in. I made this one much harder than it ended up being and was almost ready to give up and head on when I took one more extended search and finally found the hide. Thanks for the cache Chan 5456.
We decided to take the afternoon off after having an appointment in Geelong and having worked very hard this week. We needed to shop on the way home, and we needed to get our steps up, so we decided the Ocean Grove Nature Reserve would be a great place to do that. The afternoon was a lovely pleasant temperature, and the likelihood of snakes being active was lowish. The mozzies, on the other hand, were out in attack squadrons. Mr Dromaniax remembers coming here as a kid and enjoying many enjoyable picnics with his family. This took us around 10 minutes as it was well hidden and was in excellent condition. It was also a lovely place to sit and we saw the only other person the whole time wee were at the reserve. Thank you for this cache Chan 5456
Spotted a wallaby very near here! I didn't think we would see any today since we were there in the middle of the day. The rest of the family were busy seeing if they could spot any others while I found the cache!

Came to the ocean grove reserve during exercise hour whilst in lockdown! Needed a break from homeschooling monsters this was the third cache we found. Thanks for giving us a reason to visit here!
Doing the banksia loop trail today before the weather turns. Saw no one and no wildlife (except for a couple of small lizards). Clever little hide here. No need for bush bashing. TFTC
Beautiful morning for a walk today. Plenty of bird life and the odd wallaby to enjoy. Cache found in good condition.

Again another day that does not seem to know if it would like to rain or be sunny. We had already made the decision to do the walks at Ocean Grove Nature Reserve. Most of the walk was fine just very windy, then towards the end the rain happened. The only cache that needs any attention is OGNR 10, Banksia Trail - Black Stump as the log is quite wet, all the other caches are in good condition.
We saw workers but they were away from where we were wandering, there were the sounds of animals that scurried away from us into the bush and there was a good variety of birds. The paths are in good condition which made for easy walking.
