Found the cache on our last caching day for these holidays. Also for our goal for 300 finds. Found full of green ants and they were not happy! TFTC, signed and replaced.

BlacknWhite suggested we do this power trail. We were going to try on push bikes, but my daughter and her partner laughed and said to take the E bike to lessen the chance of a heart attack. Heathcote Rd is far to dangerous for bike riders so I had to put up with the leg cramps from just walking to caches after driving along the trail. 18th findHad a great day.TFTC LMcasanova

Reperio 09:46I was headed to Sydney this evening for a 2 day course, and so it gave me a great opportunity to find a few caches along the way. I took in the little detour to do this series, and for the most part of it, all the caches were found, although most had wither wet logs, or needed maintenance in some way. With the series being situated along a busy road with not a lot of room to park in most places, the process was a lot slower than expected. All in all though, a good day was had.Gratias LMcasanovaAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

Find # 8620
This search took a fair bit of a search here as the cache was buried ander months worth of bark and leaf litter. We had to dig around with a stick to locate the cache. When we opened the cache an unhappy centerpede vacated the cache in a hurry.

A quick find, thanks.

21-Aug-22
Stumbled over this one.
I am wondering how Shire people are proud of an area so covered in people garbage?

18-Jun-22
A few moments at sun set to grab more of these caches. TFTC

27-Dec-21
Up from the Can visiting family. The geobro, goldfinger777, had a 'leave pass' for a few hours so off we went for a holiday geomission! Big Grin

Found after a few moments of chicken scratching in the leaf litter to uncover the hide.

Thanks for the hide, LMcasanova Smile

Dan decided to cycle Heathcote Road to do these caches. He thought that it would be a bit easier than trying to park on this narrow and very busy road. Thanks for the hint to make this a bit quicker. TFTC LMcasanova

Hi all. Ive seen a few logs stating that the log is wet. I have checked on cache once before and noticed that the inner container that held the log dry was stolen. I will however try and make time to replace cache with a new one. Thanks to everyone for the update on cache condition. LMcasanova.

19-Jun-20
Found on a perfect Winter day for a drive down to the Gong and surrounds. Wink
Met up with fitzy65 and minniek for a fun day out and a big caching adventure.
A few good safe hides and not many muggles around.
Cache condition is poor, log was soggy so it has been replaced.
Needs CO attention.
Thanks for the cache LMcasanova,
***Roostaman***

19-Jun-20
Headed out for a days caching with fitzy_1965 and Roostaman.

Quick find here today once we got through all the underbrush....parking was a bit precarious though.

The log was moosh so we have added a new bit of paper.

20,890. Found during a caching loop from Moss Vale, Wollongong and up to the Sutherland Shire with minniek and our caching Mate from Wagga - Roostaman !!

I mentioned to Roostaman - who was in Moss Vale for a few days caching - that we were heading down Wollongong way for a few specific caches, and we decided to team up again for what turned out to be a pretty epic day. Heading up the highway now and we started the SSFTFH Power Trail. The traffic was picking up now and parking was 'fun' ! Bush-bashed to GZ for the find. Added some new log paper.

TFTC LMcasanova !!

Apologies for the late log a tad busy with the fires, made this find on a quick trip out before starting work. Quick find but didn’t have a zippy bag with me to put the log into. TNLNSL TFTC

Checked in on this one today, all is good. Due to not having my geocaching bag with me I could not replace the log nor put it in a ziplock bag. If anyone that finds this one next can place the log in a ziplock bag for me that would be muchly appreciated lots. Injoy searching. Smile should not be too hard to find now.

Grabbed while overnight in Campbelltown after a Xmas party. After a few DNFs in and around Campbelltown, I decided to try my luck on this trail. It was getting quite warm and I knew I would not have time to complete it. I enjoyed the variety of caches and the bushland, but sadly this road is one long tip.
No luck here.
Thanks anyway LMcasanova

Well after a day at a conference today was my free day to grab a few caches around the Sydney area. My first target was the Sunderland ftf trail and after that the plan was to go through the suburbs grabbing a few caches on the way back to the hotel. Ended up with 73 for the day plus a few dnfs, which is hard work on your own.

Tftc and making my day so enjoyable.

The caches on the Sunderland ftf trail were brilliant. So much work into making some of them.

Out this afternoon with SmudgeyCat finding the rest of the caches in the Sutherland Shire FTF Hounds Power Trail that I hadn't already previously found. Was searching for these as part of the clue hunt to solve the Mystery at the Museum puzzle.
Most of the caches were easy to find, though the 'hanging' ones were generally a lot more difficult. Due to the recent bushfires, there is some dead-wood undergrowth and black soot still on the stems and trunks. So a word of warning - don't wear good clothes, as they will get covered in black soot, and possibly scratched. Also drive, park, and walk with care along the road, as in some places there are big trucks rambling past just a few feet away. You'll probably need a good five hours to do the entire series, and four eyes are definitely better than two for some of the finds.
For this cache - read the hint, and then it was a quick find, even without the hard place. Found with SmudgeyCat M. TFTC Big Grin

I decided to take myself on a little drive along this road studded with caches - I could not belive how busy it was, I had to be very careful pulling off the road and back into traffic. Great set of hides, TFTC!!

Found at 10:41:50 AM: GAFF1 in the company of Alansee.
Great co-ords which took me straight to the cache [^]
Thanks LMcasanova

Did these in the company of pprass. The day started off iffy and steadily went downhill weather wise. We managed 16 of the series before giving it away. The cars and trucks didn'nt help either.

18-May-19
This was the last day of our current geocaching holiday in Australia, and so we couldn't resist the opportunity to make the most of the last few hours we had before heading off to the airport to fly back home to search for the first 26 caches in this series. It was a crazy road to cache on with the traffic being so busy and fast, and so with the close spacing of the caches it really felt like playing dodgems as well as geocaching! This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

Hit up this powertrail today.
Good hides, and good fun.

#6117 (1 of 4 today)

I need a find today for my Calendar Finds goal. Just the one, of course. But in the spirit of overdoing it, I decided to try for a few more than that.
My problem was today was shopping day, so I couldn’t get anywhere much before 4pm. So where to go?

Decided on the SSFTFH Powertrail, despite the long drive to get there. That way I can stop when it starts getting dark. Now the only problem is where to park!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Found a spot to park - on the opposite side of the road. Waited for a big break in the traffic and sauntered over towards GZ.

Despite an iPhone that couldn’t decide on a spot at any of today’s caches, it was a relatively quick find.
Completed signing duties and replaced, then onwards to the next cache - along the side of the road...

Tackled the 'Sutherland Shire FTF Hounds' powertrail today.

Pros:
Variety (users and containers)
Coordinates (pretty accurate)
Great to see the regeneration here after the fires!

Cons:
Dangerous road (100km/h, high traffic area, limited shoulder space)
Pollution (rubbish and car parts)

We were stopped by the Australian Federal Police, but after explaining what Geocaching is, they let us go on to continue the rest of the trail.

Thanks!

Trip away with woolwood9 and slowly heading to the Clear Waters MEGA.
Stamped logs as TM/WW NZ.
Another nice find for us today, thanks for putting this cache out.

*Really felt unsafe in places on this trail - the traffic was crazy!!*

Browsed this power-trail and impressively, it has tripled in size since my last visit about a year ago! So brought my cross-bike down to whittle a few more away.
Due to muggle activities (#15) and placements on different sides of Heathcote road, I eventually visited in the order: 13, 14, 16, 22 to 31, then 21 back down to 17 and 15.
Thanks to all the CO's who have contributed to this collaborative power-trail.
Clearly, the geocaching community is alive and active in the Sutherland Shire.

With 30 in the FTF series, it was time to give this trail a crack. I had Team MavEtJu with me to lend another pair of eyes and hands and we made it from 30 to 1 in 3hr 15min. There were a few uncomfortably-close-to-speeding-traffic moments which does detract from the journey but it’s not really a park and grab scenario either.

Thanks LMcasanova for being a FTF hound and participating in the series.

#2393 on my way home after work stopped here and found and signed both #23 & #24 this was the second followed the GPSr to GZ and spotted the hide as I approached. Soon had the cache in had but the Aries peg fell out, I found it on the ground and replaced then grabbed the log

With log in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache LMcasanova

Found Smile -- 1:33 pm -- Thanks for the hunt and Thanks for bringing us here to this location *LMcasanova*.

**Cache Condition:** Good.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:** None seen in this cache today.

**The Cache**
Didn't take too long to find. SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole. I managed to miss a few caches so had to return to get them which messed up my sequence. I noticed how pongy it is along this road today, I thought there must be a tip nearby.

**The Day**
Woke up this morning bright and early and wondered what to do today - ah yes, I'll go geocaching, and why not visit *Seemyshells* hotel and drop off some trackables and run the **Sutherland Shire FTF Hound(s) Track**, so I bounced out of bed and looked at the sky, very foggy and overcast looking, but I heard the sun was going to shine, and shine it did.
Gorgeous day and quite warm while on the trail. Had four left to find, and desperately wanted to knock them off, but I know there will be more caches coming out and after missing this find I figured the remainder didn't matter - next time will do. Had to cut the day short anyway and urgently get home. OCW *DustyJapserJet*. Had a fantastic day !!! but when don't I when I'm out caching.

27 = 22 Smile 1 Sad 4 [8)] not attempted.

29-Aug-18
Last for the series today, this cache rocks.

22-Aug-18
After successfully completing some Woronora River caches in the canoe we came this way to pick up the as yet unfound caches in this series. We worked so that the caches were always on the left hand side of the road, so partway through the list we did a U turn to find the rest.
There was no difficulty in finding the containers, especially as fire had cleared the vegetation around most of them.
It was good to see the regeneration of the trees and other greenery starting to happen.
Thanks go to LMcasanova for this cache placement.

19-Aug-18
Picked a few of these on the way home today. My cache Achilles heel is the ones that are "hanging." Didn't find any of those. TFTC

17-Aug-18
On the way to Ulladulla for the weekend provided an opportunity to grab the last four of the FTF Hounds trail. All caches were quickly found, however, I wish I hadn't worn light coloured jeans. TFTC.

15-Aug-18
Having been away for 5 weeks it was time to catch up on this power trail.

Nice to see the trees growing back (only if it is just to hide the amount of rubbish dumped here).

On my way for a walk in the RNP, i couldn't resist detouring to find the next bunch of this series.

Thanks for the cache.

The area looks black and terrible but slowly the rubbish is returning!!!!

This had me going in circles as I took the hint too literally!?!

My final FTF Hound for the arvo, and it took me awhile too. With so much blackened earth, my hands and the geodogs paws were black too. Finally the hint made sense when I spotted the obvious. TFTC

In our final week of school holidays we headed out fora days caching with the Rats.
Dad said we'll take the bikes and do a bit of bike riding... well it turned out to be a great day as we rode around the streets on a beautiful sunny day. The "many" series was alot of fun.

We finished our day with a few finds in the FTF hound series.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the fun day.
