Geoturtle37 and I are still making our way home from the Capital GeoBash in the ACT. We chose to miss the main roads where we could so found ourselves out this way. We didn't manage to stop for all caches as the weather wasn't great and we didn't have a lot of time to spare. Please excuse the generic logs but thank you for placing and maintaining this series. We hope to get back down soon and complete the trail.
This was a lovely grassy spot. I I'm wondering how old this beautiful gum is. It's huge. The cache was in good condition. Tftc
One of my pooches (Biggie Smalls) is particularly enjoying this walk-were calling it his degustation evening, as hes sampling the grass at every stop. TFTC!
A good hide, thanks. Log book probably needs maintenance as stuffed in and too hard to get out.
This was an easy find due to the flattened grass from the day's earlier finder.
In between swatting mozzies, this one was spotted high and dry! Lucky to have a bit of height to be able to grab this one. And, it has just dawned on me - there have been floods here recently, hence the mud and the mozzies.... face palm!

A cool grey day perfect for a walk with the dog. Parked the car near a convenient car park for fishing for cache and worked our way to the historic swing bridge. Clever hint at the bridge. TFTC
Thanks for the laugh you gave us while we tried to find it. Took us about two minutes to find it.

#6342.
We were visiting friends in the area over the long weekend and decided to incorporate some geocaching during our time in Sale. Lady Thrips had to go for some shopping, so I took the girls outdoors for some fun. We parked near the angling club and managed to get to #5 before we got a call to pick up the member that went shopping. We loved this walk and most hides were found pretty easily. Thanks for placing and maintaining these lovely caches.

Perfect day for a pedal along the river. These hides were tricky to spot and only a couple were located quickly. One needs maintenance as the lid is MIA... actually, it's bucketing down today (tomorrow) so the log may need replacing.
Man, this was hard to spot!!!
Thx for the fab bike ride along the river walk

A stretch, but managed. Cache and log are okay. Now signing GW for many of them. TFTC pullw.
It must be 12 months since I've been geocaching. Hopefully l will get a few here in sale today. Fingers crossed. Thanks for placing the cache here. 4 glad this one was not in the bush, nice camo 2 and not near pic.
Another quick find. A bonus after needing a long search for #1 when we looked on a previous visit.
Our grandchildren have all gone back home and we have completed a number of appointments and tasks we had to do so it was time to do some caching.
We contacted our good mate Rebel Acts and it was decided we should journey to Sale and tackle the caches we have not yet found there. Sadly there were 4 still offline after the recent floods, but there were still plenty to keep us occupied. A Virtual, some multis and a range of traditionals with some bike riding thrown in.
The weather was great and there was the usual banter and fun to make a day well spent.
All logs signed as RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair).
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache pullw.

Out with My good friends Ski Pair for another Gippsland caching adventure, today we concentrated our efforts in the Sale area before heading home via Mafra.
This is one of the caches found today.
Thanks pullw for the cache.

I took lovely walk along the canal to find some of the bison caches. Couldn't find #2 but found the others up to #6. I found my gps much better than my phone at getting me close! Thanks pullw for maintaining the series. Please check #2. I don't think I will use the accommodation provided near-by.
TFTC found this with Algae, nervous of going into the grass after seeing the big black snake. But what we do for a cache send the boyfriend in
We are on our way from Apollo Bay to Canberra.

Finding this cache took a bit of time as I followed each Geo trails untill eventually I saw the cache. log was wet, temp log placed into small zip lock bag placed into cache. It was at this point that I had to abandon my plans as GZ at the next cache was underwater infact the whole path in that section was submerged and their was no way to circumnavigating to the 6th cache without getting my feet saturated. So the plan is to return in much dryer weather.
1st find on our stroll up the river here.
Put a pink TDS on the wet pulp that was once a log sheet in the cache

Hi seeing it was a fantastic day I took a walk along the river with a couple of mugglers and managed to find all ten of the bison series thank you for taking us on this walk. However number 4 and 8 the log is too wet to sign needs new O ring and log.
This one was up a little bit higher so I had do get my mum to pull this one down. The logbook is very wet and there is no chance of writing on it at the moment
Nice day to be out n about. Melbourne no so close now but I can hear my bed starting to call.
Been working on this series one cache at a time filling gaps in my finds for Each Day of the Year calendar. Staying in sale Thursday night up early Friday to get this one.
Thanks pullw
Thanks pullw
With limited time this afternoon it seemed a good idea to take a walk along the riverside trail, and oooh goodie, there’s a string of caches too. My phone was getting the wanders as the sun was getting low so took a bit longer to spot number four TFTC pullw
Suscoe decided to head out to the Maffra area today and back to Sale.
Another delightful late Autumn day with some sunshine, but a cool breeze to keep us company.
What beautiful countryside and we enjoyed our travels.
Just time for a quick bike ride before calling it a day.
Thanks to pullw for this hide, a lovely area to enjoy.
The log is quite wet.

Find # 10799
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
A bit of a late start due to last night being a rather late one / early morning . We stayed local to cache around the area. Grab some puzzles and a couple of the series. Ups n downs all day. A few great, noteworthy, finds and some frustrating DNFs to add to the list.
Once again we ended up in Maffra to find a couple more up there and once again another interesting day had.
We tackled this series at night. A little tougher than day time but we managed the finds along the way. Lots of possoms and spiders out tonight too.

We have driven through Sale many times on our way to get somewhere, but this weekend had us down here for my niece's wedding, being a long weekend we took the opportunity to get out and explore the area and do some walking and caching, what a great walk this series is, thank you
Nice easy find

This one gps went out absolutely not settling down. Tried all the trees but no luck
Today is the day that I try and get caches in and around Sale, taking Travel Bugs for adventures and enjoying the sites along the way.

We're back in the Sale district for a week or two so decided to finally come for a stroll along this path. Long grass and spider webs made of titanium made for more adventure than we had expected!

Found this one pretty quickly! The log book is a bit wet, but we got it signed. Thank you!
I targeted a different shrub which my gps seemed fond of. Nothing to find. I widened the search area and found the cache.
Finally, a day of warm Spring'ish' weather, begging for us to go caching. With three geokids on scooters and two puppies in tow, this little trail fit the bill perfectly. I'm going to use this generic log for each find. All the caches were in good order and found with relative ease. We had hoped to loop back to the start via the wetlands trail but alas it was under water. So instead we continued on to the Swing Bridge and to the delight of the kids, arrived just in time to see it being opened. Thanks for placing this series, we enjoyed it very much
eaded to Sale today for a walk along the river with bubs and my dog. Reasonably easy find but difficult to collect due to high muggle activity. TFTC

Once again, TFTC mcsee&petal. Good to meet you on the trail. Might see you again next time. Jimmytherat
TFTC. We are in Rosedale for a few days. needing to do some shopping we headed to Sale. First thing was to attempt this River Walk trail . We parked at the Anglers Club and had a pleasant walk along the path, finding a cache and admiring the views along the river. Luckily must were easy to view, although one or two challenged our eyesight. Got them all in the end.
Would we get the cache before our blood supply was completely taken by the mossies.... just.
Want to visit my friend Mr Murphy in Sale, And also want a cache to fill a calendar spot.
The plan was find the cache, lunch at the shopping center, and visit Dan.
All planned jobs completed.
Also there are too many mozzies at ground zero.
Thank you for the hide mcsee&petal

It took two attempts to find this one, even it is one with the most precise coordinates. It seems we did not look precise enough at the first search, but finally we found it. TFTC
Found by Mary and David at 16:40. The last one for the day. Again, a quick find, and a hasty return to the GeoPrado before the rain arrived. Our thanks to mcsee&petal.
Was so scared I was going to be bitten by a snake but didn’t have to go in to far. TFTC
Ok not logging this as a DNF, because I ran out of time. The signal had come from the coach driver, saying it was time to go. So after a cursory look around I had to abandon the search. Time to come back with the ebike to do some more.
Thanks for the series so far mcsee&petal

Glad I didn’t have to venture too far into the long grass. Bit worried about snakes.
Between jobs thought I'd go for a walk and find some caches. This was one of them.

We decided to hike in the Sale wetland areas today, and so made a rather unusual shaped "circuit" in order to fit in the FCT trail, the River Walk Bison Trail and all the other caches in between that were out there for us to find. We must have walked a good 20 kilometres by the time we had finished. We found all the caches we searched for and the threatening rain held off for the entire hike, so all in all another great day out geocaching even though we had a couple of close encounters with two Eastern Brown Snakes! We spotted this one soon enough once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Out today with the grand children from Maffra. Cody very pleased with himself, seems to be very quick finding these hangers. Quick find, coordinates good, took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
