We have started our homeward journey from Canberra after the Mega, and after overnighting in Bathurst, and our first of two nights in Armidale, today we hunt high altitude caches. Bald Hills Road circuit is our target.
Found a nice new container and contents. But it is also a significant change in size.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 3:30 pm on 16 April 2023. TFTC, magpiecottage

This old growth has seen some recent damage probably in a storm or two but what hasn’t been damaged is tall and strong. The cache is there and our signature is on the new log and this old growth will still appreciate visits from geocachers. The scenery is delightful. Cows are shiny and so healthy looking. The few sheep we saw are growing their wool and the countryside is green and lush.
Cheers and happy caching!

We had set aside Sunday to do this trail, glorious autumn day and lovely countryside. Cut and paste logs but do not detract from our enjoyment and appreciation. Thanks magpiecottage
Hello magpiecottage we found your geocache at 12:01 p.m. on the 16 November 2020. This is #5897 for us.
Another beautiful Sunny day for collecting a few more caches before Driving home to Lismore.
Thank you for showing me lots of hidden wonders in the area

Out collecting the Chandler trail and a few extra caches today whilst on holidays from Sydney. We both agree that this trail is the most scenic we have completed so far
At one cache we stood and watched the eagles riding the wind, so awesome to see
Thankyou to the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches

Let me start by thanking the cache owner for the time and effort they have put into caching for ourselves and others to enjoy.
Most will be cut and paste logs but in no way does that mean we don't appreciate your efforts
At the end of day 2 my gps reset its self and in the process deleted all my comments so I can't really remember which was what. sorry
Also forgat to say found with Staybe and co.

Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 6. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. This was our day to get the cache trails to the North and east of Armidale, it was a long day with rain showers on and off all day. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost every cache.
Thanks for the cache magpiecottage

20,649. Found with albida33 during a meander up to and around the Tamworth and Armidale regions.
Day 6 of our trip. Enjoying the luxury of staying in a hotel room after our campsite booking got cancelled, it was a nice easy start to the day. Headed out to where we finished last night for what turned out to be another big days caching. We aimed to finish the various trails around Armidale. Next stop for the day, and we came up with a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
TFTC magpiecottage !! Lovely area to drive around.

While staying at the showgrounds we decided to take a drive out to look at the falls. Along our way home we tackled this geocaching trail. thanks
With our base established at Uralla we headed out to different surrounding localities finding caches as we went. We enjoyed exploring the area and this was one we (us and Snakepiters) targetted and found. Thanks to magpiecottage for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Day two in the area, Liz and Bruces car today, however due to the rain last night, not so much dust on the roads. A lot windier today also, seeking the warmer sun break throughs. Again lovely country side with changing landscapes and colours. A more trickier hides today, and giving out more fav points along the way.

Having a caching day around the new trails to the east of Armidale and also collecting a few other individual caches. As well as finding a variety of cache containers and hiding places we appreciated the effort that goes into planning, placing and maintaining these hides. Thanks to all the COs for showing us your wonderful countryside.
Visiting Armidale with joojoo57 for a couple of days and decided to do your Chandler Trail Caches.
Set off around 9am to complete them before it got to hot, which it really did not. Thoroughly enjoyed travelling through the countryside.
Apologies for the generic log however due to the number of caches we did, it would take me ages to do different logs. Enjoyed finding the caches in their various spots.

The day is heating up for another scorcher, an easy find here thankfully so I could get back in the car.
Hi there magpiecottage.
Today we cached the Chandler Trail., we had a really fun day driving the circuit. The caches were all well placed, and we can see that a lot of thought has gone into the placement of the caches in this series. Please excuse our boilerplate logs - we know it's not really a good excuse, but we find it difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. [:(!]
All up we found 42 caches & DNF'd 3 in this cache run. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache about 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** If we found a baloon we took it out (they perish and make the other swaps stick together.
**Left:** A small trinket if the cache was big enough.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We have set up camp with pprass overnight at Wollombi National Park. After dropping off our caravans we headed out on the Chandler Trail & the Gara Loop with a few other caches thrown in along the way.
It was good to find such a variety of caches & hides along the way.

That's it for this leg - now to go north to pick up 4 caches not in the series that we missed.
Thanks magpiecottage.

We had noticed this run of caches that has only recently be published, so we decided to take a country road tour and were pleased that we did. The countryside is very dry due to the current drought but is still very picturesque.
This Chandler Trail series of caches was very interesting as there was so much thought put into it. The cache names were well selected and sometimes were a hint in themselves to the cache location. There was also a wide variety of containers as well as camo used. If you tried to predict what the next cache would be like, you would probable be wrong. All in all it was a lot of fun today. Thanks go to magpiecottage for a very good series of caches.

Had plenty of onlookers this morning , bleating and saying morning!! Thanks magpiecottage.
After a unsuccessful attempt at Yards we were relieved to arrive at an obvious GZ with so few places to search. A quick find by the old growth of the team.... err I mean, by MrG. {FTF} at 7.39am. TFTC magpiecottage.
