Today Zozetta and I headed back out towards Tunnack, aiming to find the rest of the devil series and any other caches we could get along the way. We went up through Richmond and Colebrook this time, up to Tunnack, and then through Rhyndaston and back to Colebrook. We ended up finding forty six caches and had one DNF making it a great days caching. A big thank you to Budgietas and all the other COs whose caches we found today.I wasnt sure whether the container was the cache or not until I opened it, which the symbol on the lid put me off from doing. Another one ticked off the list though. Thanks for the cache Budgietas!
Today we headed out to try and complete as best we could the Devil series as well as collect other trads nearby. The day weather wise was similar to yesterday, grey, cold and plenty of mizzle. By late afternoon the skies did clear a bit which made it more pleasant. I still ended up filthy again, covered in mud, glorious!!We did have quite a lot of dnf but you get that when caches havent been found in general for over a year, Im sure we probably just missed some too. Happy with the day out my cut off time was 4.30pm so we could avoid hoppy carnage and we finished at 4.37pm so that was good.Nice picnic again at Tunnack oval. Thanks to all the CO and especially to Budgietas for all the caches and ongoing maintenance it is greatly appreciated.Nice to get No1 ticked off. TFTC
A quick find here but the vehicle that went past while I was dealing with this one probably wondered what I was up to. A different sort of container to what we had found so far in this series. Thanks.
Stopped the car on the side of the road only to open the door to a rather smelly wombat. At least I found the cache.
After looking for some of the apple pieces we have solved, it was then off to find some of the Devil pieces. Just have to grab a few other caches along the way.

After spending a couple of nights in Richmond, today we are excited to be travelling north again, tackling half of The Devil caches along the way before staying the night in Oatlands. We had enjoyed spending our time in covid lockdown in 2021 solving this interesting mix of puzzles in the Devil geoart in preparation for this Tasmania trip that had to be postponed several times.
Devil number 1, but we are about half way through our list of Devil caches for today. Enjoying the variety of scenery from farmland to forest. TFTC

We continued today our tour in Tasmania, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Mystery-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to Budgietas for the generation of this nice cache The Devil 1 (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
This is our comment to the whole series of the 86 Devil caches. First of all we want to thank Budgietas for this beautiful GeoArt which we could search and find during our stay. Second we want to thank for the beautiful landscape we could enjoy on our tour from cache to cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Solved these puzzles a while ago with the anticipation of heading to the apple isle for Easter. Had a day set aside for this series and hoped to get as many as possible. Found this cache safe and sound and log was signed. Sorry for the generic log but will add bits if required for following cachers.
Thanks Budgietas for the series. Really enjoyed cruising around these roads hunting for these caches. It did not disappointment.

Out and about with RoadieM today, hoping to finish off this series that we started in Januray. Wandered around the backroads from The Devil 82 to get to what is the first of The Devil series. It wasn't as far as we initially thought it would be. It wasn't great parking here so did a quick park and grab. The sheep were watching over until it got too much and she took her twins to higher ground. TFTC Budgietas.
In our rural backroad travels tassietan and I are enjoying the inquisitiveness of the local animals. Another paddock of watchful sheep (hoping for a feed no doubt, not really interested in what we're doing).
Another easy tree find, thanks Budgietas.

Sitting around the camp fire logging my finds for the day. Doing the Devil series slowing. I have solved them all but will take my time logging, to many other thing to do.
This was an easy find and cache and content all good. TFTC.

Today we decided to tackle this series after solving this series a while ago, we thought the weather would be kind to us and it was! We enjoyed the journey around the back roads chasing this devil on roads that we have not been on before, some were easier to find than others. We appreciate the time gone into placing these caches in this devil series. All up we took 9 hours to complete this devil series.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Thanks Budgietas for a great series & the work involved in keeping such a great geoart alive.

Today's Aim was to get a start on the Devil. In the end 47 were found and 4 were DNF. Looks like i will have another day of caching left to get the remainder.
We really enjoyed solving these puzzles, they were a great variety of easy and difficult.
Yesterday we spent the day finding apples and today we thought we would hunt for devils.
We had a more successful day with 35 finds and only 1 DNF.
We will be back in the next few days to find some more.

We're back for another round with the Devil. Our first devilish cache was quickly found. This was good because the weather is not nice.
Number 1 in the devil series but my last in the series for today. Quick find was made even though parking was a bit tricky. Thanks for the series. I only got around to a few today but will be back to complete or do another section of the devil series. Thanks for all of them
Suscoe headed out this morning to hopefully complete the Devil geoart trail. We were pleased to say that we did achieve this.
It was acloudy morning with some drizzle as we left Cambridge, by the time we got to Richmond the drizzle had departed.
The rest of the morning was cloudy and fine.
Thanks to Budgietas for this cache and puzzle, a favourite from us for the first cache in this terrific series.

Getting a few Devil caches today - number 1 but not the start of my journey . Found it in the middle of my trip today TFTC and the series
Barely two weeks ago, I had no idea I would be joining J+J on a trip to Tassie but here we are, number five of an impromptu six days away and easily ticking off this trail. By the time I returned home, had kick started 2020 with 355 interstate smileys (about a third of my average yearly total) thanks to four geoarts and numerous finds along the way. Giving our muggle host a break from driving duties, hired our own car and booked accommodation half between the Apple and Devil arts, making the best use of time for our last two full days. Mostly good co-ordinates with lots of “micro hangers” made for a successful but at times frustrating country drive. Apologies for the generic log unless additional comments required.
Day 5in Tassie with Mismaz. Came here with the solved Tassie devil series. We startedearly in the morning and collected cashes as we went. A great day out. TFTC
We solved all the mystery few weeks ago. Some of them were easy, some tricky !
During our holiday trip in Tasmania. We camped close to the devil and woke up early with one target: do the full devil. And we did it !
86 caches found / 0 DNF / 1 maintenance / 105km / 7h30.
We saw few roos, birds, echidnas, no devil ! The coordinate were really accurate. Quick found at each GZ.
Thanks for all the cache and this nice GeoArt. +1FP for the series.

Out and about with Lil Rafa for a weekend at Orford. After attending the event on Saturday morning, we then spent a day and a half looking for TTSS caches. Today we decided to return to the Devil series and see if we could finish the series. TNBPLN. Log dry.
Thanks for the cache Budgietas. Out and about with RLD4963 for a weekend around Orford. After searching for some tiger snakes, it was decided that it was time to return and look for a few more in the devil series. Nice quick find, cheers.
Late log, sorry. Booked up to travel to Tassie for three days of caching, with equal amounts of food and drink. Unfortunately due to Gunks having some back trouble after today and changing his accommodation from the AirBnb to Royal Hobart Hospital we could only manage one day. Made for an interesting trip away. Anyway found this cache before the dramas. Thanks for bringing us to the area. TFTC
In Tasmania with Trailstevo for a long weekend and a few cache. Having solved the devil puzzles, the finds were on our radar for the day.. like with most of our long weekends away, one day is normally powertrails or geoart, that was the devil this time. Had a pleasant drive around, got most of them and a few others but a trapped nerve in my back got the better of me eventually. We then flew down to Port Arthur for a quick look and then back to Hobart for the night. No doubt we will find a few cache in town later too. Thanks for the fun.
Our first Devil Cache, and what better than to start off with number 1 of the series. Easy find, TFTC!

After a couple of nights on Bruny Island, I headed up toward the Midlands today to tackle the Tasmanian Devil series and some other caches. I managed to also grab a few traditionals, multis and puzzle caches along the way on what turned out to be a long day!
It was beautiful weather to be out and about, although the increasing wind and clouds looks like rain might be threatening.
After completing (most of) the ‘Tasmania The Apple Isle’ series in January last year, I was keen to return and do the next piece of locally-themed geoart. The puzzles were solved at home back in Adelaide in preparation for the trip, and today I made my way around the various backroads. Most of the finds were fairly straightforward, although some of the ‘hangers’ were a challenge. The caches and contents were all in reasonable condition.
Thanks Budgietas for the puzzle and the cache.

Really enjoy this series more solving than finding them, only had an issue with 4 where we messaged the CO and we got permission to replace 2. All the rest were great hides with the hints.
All caches were signed as JLG98
Today JL Rockstar and myself headed south to complete the devil series. We decided that wasn’t enough and a new mission was for JL to hit 500 finds so we continued onto the gooses series at Sorell and then went in to complete the sugar loaf series! A total of 132 finds for the day.
Thanks for all the caches placed.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

got up reasonably early this morning to head down to do the devil puzzle series with gridge98 to try get myself to 500 finds.
Was a great day for a drive and to cache, there wasn’t much stopping us except pesky muggles and one snake on trail. Managed to finish the devil and 2 other trails to get to the 500 caches.
Thanks budgietas for the wonderful caches and other owners of caches we grabbed today.

Tassie Trip Day 84 - Today we returned to The Devil to complete it and we managed to miss one of them but we did complete what we set out to do that was find another 26 Devil caches with an additonal 2 traditional caches in the area.
For today was a geat day and lovely day to complete the devil we managed to find the remaining cache however realised we have missed on so once the logs are all complete and if we go toward the area again we will pick up the one remaining cache.
Thanks for this great series Budgietas it was fun solving all the puzzles and collecting all the smilies while leaving our mark on the logs of those that we found.

We chose a ‘section’ of the devil to explore this morning and our aim was to find 17 caches, which we did. We searched for the caches at what was, for us, a leisurely and pleasant pace. This gave us time to take in the country side and we were quite surprised at how many farming properties and homes, both old and new, are in this district. You know you are in rural areas when nearly every car that passes you the driver gives you a wave, as did several children walking down the roads, obviously enjoying school holidays.
A good day caching, so thanks very much for that Budgie.

Today, we planned an assault on as many of The Devils as we could. We left home at 5am and located our first cache at 7.35am.
We enjoyed the experiencing the caches and we loved the area only having travelled a small part of it before. Some of the views across the fields and valleys were spectacular. Thank you for bringing us out here.
The area is a difficult one with variable satellite coverage so GPS did bounce a bit but most of the time we could home in on an area that was not too far from GZ.
We have a large 4WD which is difficult to park on narrow roads, Road safety in this sport is essential for us all to consider, CO was conscious of this and ensured that that most caches were located nearby good parking bays.
Quick find and Co-ords good cache in good order

Hello Budgietas thank you for the cache.
On Sunday EeePees and I went and found somemore of your caches.
Once again I left the navigation to EeePees, luckily as my GPS was playing up for the first half of the day. Managed to get a puncher while trying to get off the road for a safe parking spot.
First off I would like to thank my mate EeePees for his help and support.
Secondly I would like to thank you for all of the effort you have put into the series of caches

Set off bright and early this morning with AlbyDangles aiming to finish off the Devil GeoArt series (after finding half last weekend).
It was great weather today (after yesterday's shocker) and we enjoyed our jaunt around the countryside, and luckily managed to find the remaining half (43 caches) although some were a little tricky to eventually spot!
En route we saw a large Wedge-tailed Eagle take flight from the roadside which was pretty spectacular, caught up with team Tas32, and then they caught up to us a little later just as we finished changing a punctured tyre.
All in all, a great day out, as always, thanks Alby.
Thanks Budgietas for the series, the adventure, and for bringing us to some roads never travelled before.
Cheers, EPs

After the day of the event launching this great series where myself and Goose of Gooseandegg managed to bag 19 finds with most of the solving being done on the fly as we drove round, with coverage being so poor we knew we would have to come back for multiply trips to find the rest.
It took a bit of work over the next week or so to solve the rest of the puzzles, the bigger problem was finding the time to go and find them all, I watched with interest as other cachers went out and cleaned up the remaining FTF chances in all kinds of nasty weather and I was glad I didn't have time at the moment.
The idea of doing them all in a day was a big ask but myself and Goose planned a route and set off this morning to see how far we got with our plans, with a couple of pit stops along the way delaying us a bit we didn't find our first Devil till 11:12, we had some quick finds and some painful ones too, along the way collecting a few GCA history caches and a heap of moveable's we found the last Devil at 6:22, so if you are organized and start early you 'could' find the whole series in a day.
We managed 67 finds and no DNF's (one was a close thing) and it was dark when we found the last one, we had all weathers sun, wind, rain and even snow for a few caches at the end of the day but the weather was better than the BOM said it would be so that was a bonus.
Oh if anyone finds a pair of black Jonathan Paul Fitover sunglasses they are mine, it's only the 3rd pair I've lost while caching
Big thanks to Tas32 who has founf my sunnies!!!!
Thanks again to Budgie and his support crew for placing this series I had great fun finding them all.
I have attached a number of images, none of which will help anyone find the caches but bits of my day so wanted to share.
Oh I'm sure I put the 19th on most of my logs for some reason

The best caches I have found so far by type are:-

After attending the teaser event a few weeks, we all had a chance to go and hunt a few devil cache that afternoon with a couple of 'giveaway' answers. As stainless steel rat drove us around like he owned the road I was frantically searching for signal to solve a few extra puzzles as we drove. We ended up finding 19 that day, including a nice number of FTFs, leaving us 67 to solve and find at some other time.
The remaining puzzles were solved easily enough and I soon had a nice database loaded up and ready to go. Finding a day available was the next challenge with weekends filling up fast and a lot of travel on the go. Finally a date was set that worked for both SSR and me to try and find the rest or the series and complete the geo-art.
The journey started out later than planned due to a couple of other caching related matters (and the obligatory coffee stop) and we finally found our first devil of the day, number 79, at 11.12am. We had planned a fairly methodical route, well as best we could with some backtracking required due to dead end roads and indeed a whole necessary second loop, finding our last one in the dark, number 26, using the car headlights and a torch at 6.22pm.
We managed to find all 67 devil caches we were looking for, along with three GCA history caches, and 'sorted out' a handful of movables as well that came along for the ride. There were a couple of tough ones and twice we thought we were in real trouble of a DNF but the idea of coming back here just for one or two spurred us on and we ended up with a 100% strike rate.
The weather Gods toyed with us a little throughout the day. The forecast was not great but fortunately it was drier than predicted but it was very windy all day. We copped the odd bit if drizzle but nothing to worry about until late in the day when the drizzle turned to rain which then turned to sleet and then to pure snow. We had it all today, but that's Tasmania for you!
Sincere thanks to Budgietas and crew (aka family) for another adventure filled geocache series. It was a tough but rewarding day and I look forward to your next piece of geo-art.

Our current focus is to catch up on the caches that were published in Tasmania while we were away. On this occasion, there are many more caches than normal mainly because The Devil series. Planning, publishing and implementing such as series is a mammoth effort and we congratulate BudgieTas for his achievements.
We found all of the puzzles quite straightforward to solve, albeit repetitive at times.
Today we allocated to trying to find as many in the Devil series as possible. We were threatened with rain, winds and cold weather. Thankfully there was very little rain but the winds were very intense and bitterly cold unless in a sheltered spot. After leaving home at 5:30am we found our first cache at 8:10am. During the day we managed to find 85 of the 86 in the series and were heading for home a little before 5pm.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. the cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks BudgieTas for the cache and the series.

Time to head off for a week of "whatever I feel like doing" in Southern Tassie. Decided my first goal was the newly published Tassie Devil Geoart and wanted to get it knocked over in a day. Well I did manage to do so, finished just before the sun went down. Not bad for a solo effort driving a SUV with 20: slimline wheels on it (who does that? like seriously?)
Time to dance with the devil. Had no issues with the finds today, some were a little trickier than others but all in all, didnt take too long to find each of the caches. I now have a fear of the hint "hanger" as these were the hardest ones to find in the series. Did alot of tree searches, rock searches, a nice big rock climb and even a tree climb. Over all had a great day challenging myself to get the entire series done in a single day, mission accomplished
Thanks for the cache hide Budgietas was a nice day out and around the hills

We were at the event yesterday when all these "devil" puzzles were published and we managed to find 6 on the day. We weren't really prepared for the fun to follow. With limited internet connection we decided to head home and work on solving all the puzzles. This morning we still had 2 puzzles to solve and didn't really want to venture back out until all were solved. We had other plans today but when one activity was cancelled we then looked at the 2 remaining puzzles and after communicating to the CO, the 2 remaining puzzles were changed and we finally had solved them all. The weather was looking better than when we first got up so we looked at each other and decided to plan a route to find the remaining 80 caches. Being slow off the mark we were beaten to a set of ftfs on our marked route so we decided to head to another area and pass many solved puzzles. We saw whitewebbs in the bushes at one stage and beeped at them as we cruised by. I have to mention that we left in sunshine, but travelled through rain, snow, hail, rain, hail and snow again but also at some parts of the day we had beautiful sunshine. We travelled down some lovely roads, many surrounded with water, snow, hail and mud. Even getting to some caches on foot, we experienced water, mud, snow and hail. Oh the adventure...........oh, we also do shudder at the hint: hanger??!!!
Quite a drive to get this one but we were enjoying it all. This puzzle was quickly solved with 2 people working on it.
Thanks for the cache Budgietas, such a great area with great coords and very well planned.

After finding 15 in the Devil series yesterday, we sat down last night and solved 42 more. Today we headed off at 8.15 am on a cold, wet and snowy morning to find them. We were successful and found 44 (a couple by chance). It rained rather heavy on the way to the starting point and we thought we might have a wet caching day, but as we continued on, the weather improved. We weren't the only mad ones out and about as we saw membsec and DnA! on our travels. We had a great day and enjoyed our tour around the area. Thanks Budgie for a Devil of a series. Giving a favourite here for the whole series. TFTC
After today's event at Colebrook we sat and solved a handful of puzzles before setting out to find a few caches. This was number 1 FTF for today. Thanks Budgie for the puzzle and the cache.
