Searched all over with two kids. Obvious placed but nothing there. Only thing I found was a dead seagull and a animal skull . Very disappointed with todays caches in the Hutt. Attempted 3 (all DNF's) and wanted to do 5 (but last 2 had DNF's from previous cachers). Ended up with one cache in Whitby for the day !
Out for a morning stroll to get back into caching and grab some of these caches nearby. A nice quick find looking forward to the rest of the series. Thanks for the cache
After my visits to Naenae and Wingate, I stopped off in Taita to pick up this straight-forward find - nearly a park and parched - the hot wind was funnelling straight through; the grass seemed a lot browner here than in other parts of the city at the moment.
Nice to get another one of the series ticked off - less than half left now! TFTC

I love it when I see that hint, it usually seems to narrow down the search area and that's what happened here. TFTC .
# 1521 Needing a quick cache today, this one seemed to tick the boxes. Under the cover of darkness i thought it would be easy, given the location, but there seemed to be a few people coming and going from the local houses, and alot of traffic on the nearby road, so I wanted to minimise the use of white light. After trying to spot with the light from the cellphone touch screen, i resorted to trying to find by feel, and eventually came up trumps. Signed quickly under a fragment of light, and returned to hopefully the correct hiding host. Cheers Glad NZ for this one. All good inside.
Finished work after a night shift and thought I could sneak in a cache or two on ANZAC Day while it was all quiet. One of a couple of caches close by work. Quick and easy find. Just had to clean the wet cut grass off before getting into the car. Thanks for the cache
Great to grab another of the GROET series, thanks CO fo setting them before last years WENZ event where I grabbed some at this time.
Needed some fresh air after a full on day at work followed by a meeting in a stuffy room. Lovely evening to collect a couple of caches and unwind a bit. TFTC.
Three from three so far and it was soon a full house. We had a dozen cache on the hopeful list , but the earlier closure of the Terrace tunnel had us heading for the airport earlier. Nice to have one more of the series anyway.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Find #3051. Caching day on the bike, completing 38kms around Lower Hutt, with the weather undecided if it wanted to be hot or cold, sunny or cloudy, but definitely windy from the SW.
Found quickly and signed while sheltering behind the fence. Not the nicest place in the world, with litter blowing around, hardly deserves the title of 'park'. TFTC.

Found- was our first search and didn't get it the first time. Came back after we had found some others and had more of an idea!
I, for one, am highly delighted you get through so many mints. Thanks for that! Grabbing a few last caches for this trip. TFTC # 13,237
Went for a walk at lunchtime with Saltimus and Silas.
Quick and easy find.

TFTC!!! Nice hiding spot, I didn’t know this park was here. Went for a walk with Island Bay and Saltimus.
Our first cache!!! It was borderline difficult but with the help of Trailstrailstrails we did it. Looking forward to more fun soon
Had just found the cache and was about to sign when a couple of people wandered across the grass. So I signed the log in the other side of the field but they were still near GZ and returning the cache was going to be tricky. They were studying their phone and looking about so I asked if they were Geocaching and sure enough they were trying to work out how it worked.
Great to meet you lovely people, pixiefinders, and to help you get started, cheers!

A day spent driving up and down the Hutt Valley finding one or two caches.

Was at home with Mrs Yeetrees doing some chores for the day, after having lunch, I decided that we needed to go for a ride and have a break, I asked Mrs Yeetrees if she was interested in coming for a ride and she said that she was, and she also wanted to go out and grab an ice cream as well.
Decided to check the GPSr and after having a good look I soon settled on this cache as it was going to take me towards the general direction that I needed to go to satisfy Mrs Yeetrees requirements.
The drive to GZ was quite quiet as there wasnt too much traffic around and I was quite surprise as in the end it really didnt take too long. Once we arrived near GZ, we soon spotted the reserve and I decided to drive further down the road and then turn around and park at the Burcham Street entrance.
Once I got a safe parking spot at the entrance to the Reserve, we got out of the car to make my way towards GZ, decided that I would check the GPSr and soon realised that the cache wasnt too far from where I we were. Arriving at GZ it only took me a few seconds to spot the object that was named in the cache title and it really only took a few seconds to spot something and we soon realised that it was the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks GLAD-NZ for placing another GROET cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13777). Definitely GLAD to get another GROET cache off my list of unfound caches.
Was GLAD that there were no muggles around at this time as it would be totally a no goer, now it is time to continue on my way to my next stop, oh yes Ice Cream.

Found this one on a GROET hunting trip in the Hutt/Stokes Valley area with Flowerydaze. All good with this TFTC.
On a mission with Talla64 to tick off a few more GROETs. This mission so far has taken us all over the Hutt Valley and Stokes Valley, to places we've not been before. Thanks for all the placements GLAD-NZ. All the containers and logs we've found in this series have been in good condition. Thanks for all the caches.
Out and about checking locations for Waves2Wairarapa, when I spotted this one (nearish) by. Quickly found, signed and replaced... now to head up to Kaitoke and collect the boys from a scout camp TFTC..
#5944. I needed a few more caches today to boost the August numbers. So yet another trip over to the Hutt Valley. Seems to be my go to place at the moment. These GROET caches are a real bonus as I had started to clean out most of the accessible Hutt Valley caches but now I have a new bunch to find. Pulled up in the car and wandered over to GZ. Nice quick find in first place checked. All quiet here late on a cold Friday afternoon. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here GLAD-NZ. By the time I was back in the car Aussie had a new prime minister. Wonder how many caches I will find before the next Aussie PM goes through the revolving door.
I had an opportunity to be well away from the office at lunchtime so made my way here.
Quick find where all good at GZ. Log dry and in good condition.
Thanks for another smilie and my cache of the day

#10,298. Park and a short walk on Burcham Street in Taita, Lower Hutt on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Fortunately, GZ was pretty quiet when we were there. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

(# 4631). Had the day off to take someone to the airport. After doing the drop off I went to get some caches up the valley my main objective was to get a number of the GROET series sprinkled with a few others. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
No problem here today although I expect there can be muggles close by at times. It seemed pretty obvious to me where this wee treasure would be hiding.
After a disappointing treasure hunt of a different kind this evening, I decided to head on over to grab this cache while it still qualified for a first week find. Parked up and headed over in the wet, dewy grass, conscious of the closeness to the neighbouring houses with noises of activity going on, and I'm wearing a head lamp. Found the suitable spot and with a little hunting had the cache in hand. Not the first visitor today. TFTC
I haven't done any after work caching for a while so I thought I'd check out some Hutt Valley caches while I'm over here. Being an impromptu expedition I didn't have my GPS but the ol' smartphone is plenty good enough to get me where I needed to be before cache sense did the rest. Sufficiently well located that stealth is not really required. TFTC.
Hi GLAD-NZ. I'm just catching up with a backlog of your caches that I have visited but not logged online... until now. Sorry for cutting and pasting bits of these logs.
This is more or less a re-run of yesterday's log for GROET #7. My son was swimming at Naenae Pool from 4 pm till 5.30 pm again this afternoon. It was my turn to pick him up (its always my turn!) and I arrived at the pool at about 5.15 pm on my way home from work.
I persuaded him that we should take a small detour to this spot to have a look for this cache on the way home for dinner. Once again, he was not too keen but agreed in the end so long as I let him sit in the car while I searched. I felt a bit uncomfortable searching by the light of my mobile phone so close to the nearby house. Lucky I found it quickly!
Thank you for placing these caches. It is nice for me to be able to find a few in a row without having to walk too far from the nearest road.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

A very surprising FTF at 1325 hours. I was delayed about half an hour in getting here and with the cache published several hours earlier I was wondering if I would be beaten to it.
GPS was a bit jumpy so tried a few possibilities before finding the right one.

A nice fine afternoon and I needed to be in the Hutt Valley so took a bit of extra time to find some of the new caches. Good accurate coordinates ensured an almost instant find here. Signed log, TFTC!
