Waited for some ppl to leave the place. They left, I started my search when I spotted a lost mobile phone. Immediately I started looking for the owner, he/she could be around. Nothing. I called the last caller and explained. The person was the brother’s owner in Perth. The guy was in holidays here. The brother gave me an address, so I could drop the phone. I was about to leave when his phone rings. I answered, it was his friend trying to locate the phone. She was about 50m from me!! End of the history, I didn’t come back for the cache, it was getting late... Next time instead of a phone, I’ll find the cache !
Thanks contactpete for the cache Smile

Great little cache

30-Jun-19
After working up a sweat on a lovely bushwalk nearby we felt like getting some coastal breeze. Stopped in at the local cafe nearby and got some extremely over priced fruit juices before heading down to the beach .
This is a favourite little beach of ours so was good to see a cache here.
Was a quick find but soon realised I had no pen so had to run up the stairs again back to the car so complete the signing.

So sightings of the Jenny Dixon ghost this time either.

Thanks for the cache!

It's been a little while since we did much down this way, so we decided on an old-fashioned cache drive today, despite a miserable forecast and a miserable start to the day. We left home in light rain, drove home in pouring rain, but only had the umbrellas up for one cache, and it was a GCA one! A great day stretching down to Forresters Beach, with a dozen trads and a handful of trigs/virtuals, without a true DNF in sight.....
We emerged from the steps onto a lovely (windswept/cold) beach to find half a dozen muggles in the form of fisherman. They didn't pay much attention to us, and Samuel ducked in and emerged with the cache in a few seconds anyway. Nice spot.... TFTC!

Parked at the parking lot and then went down the stairs. Just in front of us was a muggle family with kids. They stopped just where the stairs reached the beach and at first appeared to make camp there, which looked a bit troublesome for us. However, they probably felt the vibes from us urging them to move on, which they finally did so we could explore the area a bit more thoroughly. Cache was then soon in hand, and after having signed an replaced, it was just to ascend all the stairs again.

This was our 2nd find in Canton Bay. There were a few muggles around but fortunately they payed no attention. It really is a beautiful place to watch the waves and the cargo ship either mooring or going out northbound.
Thank you for showing us this beautiful place!

Went for a walk to Jenny Dicksons Beach this arvo, after living close by for the past year I thought it was time to pay it a visit. Nice hide but almost got muggled!

After spending a good part of the afternoon at Shelly Beach a bit south from here, I persuaded the others to come up to Norah Head to have a look at the lighthouse. Obviously, there was also a cache in it for me, so everybody was happy.

We parked next to the beautiful park up on the ridge. What a lovely spot to have a picnic or just to chill. Then we made our way to the stairs to descend to the beach. We had to wait a bit because there were two young Lycra-clad lasses who were getting fit for something, or just trying to impress each other. They were racing up the stairs from the beach, and then heading down to repeat the exercise. My only real question -- apart from why they were doing this -- is why they were fully made-up and were wearing jewelry? Each to their own, but I know I wouldn't have put on blush, lipstick and mascara if I were planning on racing up and down stairs and getting sweaty. But having said that, I've seen people on long hikes in the mountains, made up and wearing dangly earrings, too.

Anyhow, once we had access to the stairs, we descended and immediately decided that we would rather come to this beach in future instead of going to such a busy beach like Shelly. One discovers great places through caching, and this is a lovely spot that's more to our liking for a day out.

I had a quick scan around for likely spots to hide a cache. Then I honed in on a starting point, and almost immediately had the cache in hand. Great relief that this wasn't going to be a long, drawn-out search with the others getting antsy about wanting to move on again.

Log signed, everything put back as found. Then it was time to head up the stairs again and finally make our way to the lighthouse on the headland.

T-Tech and I are holidaying at The Entrance for a week over Christmas with our extended family, and today we have the whole day to go geocaching! Wahoo!

It's been more than 20 years since we were last at Norah Head, and we have some fond memories of family holidays at the caravan park when our kids were little Big Grin Today we stopped to get this cache on our way to see the lighthouse. It's a lovely spot and I wished we'd had time to linger, but we headed straight down to GZ. A couple of folk were nearby but they weren't interested in us, so T-Tech made a quick find. TFTC, contactpete.

After a stressful week I knew the best cure, get out and find a cache or 7 of course. This was my closest to home unfound cache as I am not one of those people who think running up stairs is fun but they were not as bad as I thought they were going to be. Not many muggles around on this early morning, may be harder to retrieve in summer though. cache found quickly thanks to good co ords. Thanks for the cache contactpete tnln replaced as found sl

Today is one of the dates I have to fill in if I'm ever going to complete my find calendar grid ... so it was off to Toukley this morning to grab this cache that I'd been leaving for such an occasion.

Arrived at the beach and wow, what a fantastic place this is ... I just loved the serenity. Indeed, it was so serene and calm and warm down here that it was easy to forget that there was a strong south westerly up top. The only downside was the 132 steps back up to the top ... but with a smiley on my belt and a smile still on my face, who's counting! Thanks for placing this cache here contactpete, and for introducing me to this beach.

Went down at 9:30pm with a torch. Had some muggles come down about 5 min after. Suspended the search as they were quite suspisous of me haha, will be back soon to try again.

I was thrilled to see another new cache this side of the bridge. Thanks for another good cache so close to home. To those trying to find it, I will tell you it's in the obvious place. No need to go bushbashing or scaling rockfaces to find this one. It was pretty easy to find at night but I know there is a lot of muggles on the beach during daytime.

10-Aug-18
Nice hide..especially at midnight..found after a not to protracted search. Thanks contactpete.

10-Aug-18
Here is a tip for putting the geocache back together. (because I found it a bit difficult)
1. Roll the log up
2. Tighten the log roll by turning the log at the ends
3. Put the top on the log back on first
4. Screw the bottom of the log back into the top part
5. Replace log exactly where you found it

06-Aug-18
I have driven past here so many times and did not even realise it was a separate beach. Today we parked nearby and I took the stairs, for quite a while, until I reached the area around GZ. A bit of a peek in the right places soon showed me the cache, hidden nicely. The walk back was not as pleasant though, I am not in the good physical condition I thought I was. Thanks contactpete for another good hide in a top place, as usual.

**FTF** Saw this one published earlier but we had plans for a family lunch.

Amazingly after lunch this was still up for grabs so we decided to head south and made the find at 4:22pm. How an FTF cache lasts that long in a heavily populated area I don’t know!

A quick find and a fun stroll on the beach. Watch a jogger doing stair runs - she’s mad!
