Logs

20-Feb-20
It is quite clear from the signage now on the fences in this area that geocaching would not be allowed behind said fences.

(It is also apparent that the cache is probably no longer in place from reports to me directly and the recent DNF logs.)

Listing will also be locked to prevent temptation by cachers to cross the fence to the area of ground zero.

11-Dec-19
Clever (unexpected) hide. Needed the spoiler pics for this one. What a beautiful gathering place for native birds. Trekked a few metres into soft black mud that was swallowing up my shoes like quicksand-- was about to give up before another log pointed me towards the correct limestone path.

01-Dec-19

27-Aug-19
Took a fair while it wasn't placed as expected. Interesting area with the figs and the remnants of palms. Makes you wonder a little about this spots history. A fave for the locale. TFTC ziltoid101.

26-Aug-19
Returned this morning having noted a subsequent find to our DNF yesterday. Quick success after some PAF assistance; thanks for bringing us back here, two days running.

25-Aug-19
Well Ziltoid 101 I was looking forward to this one as it brought back memories of my high school days at the now-defunct Swanbourne SHS. Alas, all those previous finders and your maintenance still left us with a dreaded Blue Dot. Thanks for setting it up anyway; far too good for us after an extremely long search. Off we go now for a darn good sulk.

25-Aug-19
Sorry to say this one beat us too

25-Aug-19
Took a while, Geohub just about given up. Group of young boys here shattering the serenity but happy with the find. TFTC.

13-Aug-19
Replaced - it’s now about a metre lower than it was.

16-Jun-19
Searched and had no luck of finding it. A friend who had already found it a while back came and wasn't in the original spot.

16-Jun-19
Went back here to check on the cache and it was gone and I remember clearly exactly where it was

07-Mar-19
Find 3 of 10, with two DNFs on a sticky/wet bike ride around Claremont.

Have been around this lake many times but never knew about this bit. Quick find at GZ, took longer to get the gate open!

24-Feb-19
Thankyou. Love this spot. Feels like a bush adventure for the little ones.

17-Feb-19
Well i can say I enjoyed finding this cache, though it took me longer than it normally would.
Arriving at GZ i followed the geo-trails closer to the lake where I just couldn't find the cache. I thought I was looking for the wrong thing, after a bit I ventured back up and spotted it almost straight away!!!
Anyway I enjoyed the hunt and love the big fig tree I found on the way....It made me think how challenging an offset multi would have been if the final was in that tree.
Thanks a bunch for bringing me here.

05-Feb-19
Quick find while out with my mate walking the dogs. Left my mate and the dogs on the other side of the fence for this one.tftc

20-Jan-19
Just out picking up a few caches in this area, somewhere I’ve not really explored before. This was one on my target list, mainly because of the intriguing location on the map. I wasn’t disappointed! Somewhere I’d never have found otherwise and a location I absolutely loved - an immediate fave point for that alone! After reaching the trail entrance it felt like I was treading into the unknown on the way out to the cache (although I realised afterwards there’d actually been a visitor to his cache this morning, lol). Once at GZ I took a few photos then focussed in on the search. Coords had me in the wrong place initially but some hints in previous logs set me straight and the find was made after a few minutes. All in good shape, no problems. After replacing everything I settled down to take in the view, the birdlife and the solitude Smile Thanks for bringing me here - did I mention it was a fave? Smile TFTC

20-Jan-19
Out for a walk around Lake Claremont early this morning. This was my first find of the walk.
I walked through quite a lot of spiderwebs on the way to the cache, so I was pretty certain I wouldn't be interrupted by any passerbys and could take my time searching. I checked out a few possibilities before spotting the cache.
I enjoyed the walk and the secret path. TFTC

18-Jan-19
First geocache found!

16-Jan-19
I really should pay attention to the cache description. Yes there is a limestone path. No I didn't take it, why would i when I can trudge through 80m of ankle deep black mud. Turn right when you get through the gate, peeps!! The cache took a wee while to locate as I was focussing on the wrong side of the path. Great spot. Fave point. TFTC Smile

21-Dec-18
Found it! Didn’t open it though as only had sandals on and the undergrowth beneath it put me off! Good location though.

21-Dec-18
Found it but could not reach to fill in log book.

27-Nov-18
Finally catching up on some logging from caches I found with B12 some time ago.

07-Oct-18
Quick Sunday caching in this beautiful weather.
Awesome spot, spotted the container straight away.
TFTH

24-Sep-18
A nice day to go for a bike ride and find a few geocaches nearby!

A cool hide here although I don't think the geocache is hidden at chest height.

TFTC!

Great spot we didn’t even know was here. Lots of birdlife and frogs. TFTC

08-Sep-18
Could not find it then took a seat and looked up when Guiness12 said found it. And there it was. Probably more like head height. Great spot for a cache. Lovely bird life around

04-Sep-18
A quick find here after enjoying a nice stroll down to the cache along the path. Thanks for a nice spot in Claremont

02-Sep-18
Enjoyed the walk amongst the majestic Moreton Bay Fig trees. All types of different Water Fowl. But if that is chest height you must have an amazing ' over the shoulder boulder holder' TFTC

27-Aug-18
Loved it. The walk around the lake, the entry amongst the giant figs, the birds dancing and singing about the island and the final GZ. It took me 10mins to find the cache as I was expecting it to be more hidden. A definite fav. TFTC

27-Aug-18
Headed out for a morning of caching to clean up a few new caches in the area.
Great hiding spot. Been around the lake a few times but never knew this place was here. Fav point awarded. TFTC

Nice secluded spot in the middle of the lake. A favourite. Found the cache but not at the height suggested in the hint.

18-Aug-18

13-Aug-18
Found with Mrs richlink while Mr richlink was at an appointment. Thanks for the cache ziltoid101 giving a Fave point for the magic secret location.

13-Aug-18
It is 1.3km from my office desk to GZ. I was sitting at it when this cache was published but couldn't be bothered getting back in to lycra to ride to GZ when I knew I'd be coming back past later in the afternoon. It was a tough one for me to access; especially trying to return the base of the container to its lid. Eventually it was returned as found. Thanks for the cache.

13-Aug-18
While geohubby was attending a nearby appointment, I headed out with iluvtrekkinbg to grab some caches. This was a lovely surprise location and at gz we met two lovely ladies who were bird watching while have their thermos of tea. They were intrigued by what we were up to and after explaining the game they were happy to become guardians of the cache. Try looking head high. Thanks ziltoid101

11-Aug-18
With no 1 daughter and Freya at baby Expo nearby and couldn't go past this one without a look. 14 months is not too young to get her started on her caching career. Followed directions and arrived at gz. Looked at suggested level without luck. Finally spotted it at suggested level if you are 8.ft tall. Don't quite qualify but did reach it without trouble. all
well with cache. Tftc, ziltoid101. Magic location.

09-Aug-18
