DNF. Sent msg to CO most trees gone. Looks like caches in this series are very vulnerable.

We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Today I was grabbing some of this series, as I meandered my way to Macksville. It was good to get of the beaten track and enjoy the back roads and loved the variety of hides.
Stopped off here where the container was found after a short search, once at GZ.
Thanks coongoola for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Found with nissan65 on a day trip caching . Thankyou for your contribution to geo caching
Travelling south and figured I'd check out some of the more unloved caches amongst the trails near Kempsey. To the cache owner I apologise for a generic log as I usually like to leave a more detailed log but given the density of caches here And time restrictions on this trip I would otherwise fall weeks behind on logging.
My thanks to coongoola for placing these caches as I wouldn't otherwise have ever explored this patch of greenery. I really enjoyed this early morning fix of bushland.

A great trail to cache. I'll complete more on Sunday as I ran out of daylight today.
Thanks again

The last week or so has been a quieter time where we have enjoyed the beach, walking and fishing but today we headed out to some of the trails out from Scotts Head where we are staying. In particular the Buffalo Trail, Tamban Trail and Fruit & Nut Trail.
It was a lovely day to be out and about, with good sized caches on the Buffalo and Tamban in general and the majority of caches being in reasonable condition despite the recent very wet weather.
The Fruit hides were at times challenging, and the Nuts often quite evil. Added to this the Fruit & Nut track had a number of mud holes, but nothing that wasn't easily passable. We were fortunate to find all of these. Quite an achievement.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache coongoola.

Found with my Dad and brother on our big caching day around Tamban.... 73 finds!

Continuing on from the Tamban Trail, another trail we've gazed at from the highway in the past. They started out taking a bit to find, but we soon had our eyes 'in' and got through the 23 in just under 2 hours, with a pair of DNFs for another time.
Another one for Dad! TFTC!

Found today while going for our most caches in 1 day, ended up doing the Tamban trail, then continued on through the fruit and nut trail. Had an amazing time doing these series.

We had managed to give ourselves a little time to get some caches in before we head home again so as this series is going our way, it is these that we chose to do.
Thank you very much for the time and effort that has gone into placing these caches and also maintaining them.

Found while out and about during our Hat Hat stay, thank you for the cache! : )
Was looking for a weekend getaway and came across this series so decided to stay at South West Rocks for the weekend. 1st one on a miserable rainy day. TFTC
Another great PT. We met no other traffic on this road. The road is a bit narrow, but in good condition. We drove up nearly to #18 where there was a very soft, muddy looking puddle. We probably could have driven through it, but it looked sketchy. Anyway, it was convenient to have a small break from drive-bys and stretch the legs. Probably a kilometre each way to finish the series. This road seems suitable for cycling as it was fairly flat.
Whilst driving along, we saw a red-tailed black-cockatoo and a goanna. A well planned and maintained series. Thank you very much, coongoola

Decided on a maintenance run through this lovely forest as previous cachers had commented about damp logs. All caches have been checked and logs replaced with RITR where needed. They're all set to go and some of the camos hae been replaced with new ones. . Have fun !!
damn puddles, this one nearly stopped me from continuing but decided to chance it, even in the work car, I am too caffeine deprived to go back to the next turn off instead. this one's log fell onto the ground as soon as I had the lid off, no need for tweezers here!
I've had a great day in the Tamban state forest searching for all these caches, well done on an interesting power trail and thank you so much for maintaining them so well coongoola.
now i'm off too....you guessed it the service centre at Nambucca for a COFFEE!

Hooray!! Finish the fruit and nut Trail and manage to get all of them. Many thanks for the series.
Found while on a geocaching holiday with tmann421.
Enjoyed the trip around and all the great hides.
Stamped TM/WW NZ, or if in pen our full names
My challenge throughout this series was to find a nut before tmann421. Even when I got a 10 second head start I failed. Luckily the fruit was easier to find

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. we are here for the week doing weeding at Southwest Rocks. Great to find these local caches. A favourite from us for going to the trouble of putting this series of caches in
What a glorious sunny day for some Caching, so we thought we would travel down and make a start on these series.
We are doing this series backwards and drove through some nice puddles to get to our first cache for the day.
A quick find was had at GZ. Many thanks for bringing us here. TNLNSL TFTC

Out on a caching run with goingplaces2 as we headed south. We wanted to find some fruit and nuts to add to the caching diet. About half were in good order. Some were quite hard to find. Thank for the caching run.
We started this series from the northern end and straight away encountered some difficult road conditions, especially as we were towing a caravan. But we, as well as ilook4geo, coped OK.
This looked like it was going to be a fun run of caches and it probably was when it was first planted, but about half of the caches are now in urgent need of maintenance for one reason or another.
The fruit ones were usually more quickly found than the nut ones, which sometimes tended to hide themselves quite well.
Thanks got to coongoola for the idea, the preparation and the placements.

Had a lovely overcast day to do the Fruit and Nut trail. Loved the items used as cache holders - though some were a little harder to find than others. Thanks coongoola for the time, preparation, placement and maintanence of the series - it is greatly appreciated.
Day two in the area whilst visiting from the Gold Coast with RoddyC and hatzofff.
Another most enjoyable trail by coongoola, we kept guessing what the next camo would be and appreciated all the effort that has gone into putting this series together. Another favorite point from me for this one.

We have been waiting a long time for the stars to align to do this cache and today was the day
We made a day out of it by also heading over to SWR's to have lunch at the tavern and then finish off the 2 puzzle caches by bobbiesgirl.
Being he first cache for the series, we were not sure what to look for, but after a few moments of focusing and refocusing a container suddenly appeared out of nowhere! Well Hayley spotted it actually.
Thanks coongoola.

Log sheet is saturated and difficult to write on - odd as it is in one of those viles?
Found with Tatt2squared and Viper_101... I just got a premium membership, so time to log all my finds that I have signed with Tatt2squared as Key_Tat. Fav point for the series..TFTC

Found in the company of Key_Tat and Viper_101... An enjoyable day out in the Aussie bush.. great trail and construction of the caches... (however some of the 'red' ones are being eaten by some bush critters)... We always enjoy a Coongoola trail. Thanks for placing and getting us out and about. TFTC
Today we headed north to meet up with Liz and Bruce to complete the Fruit & Nut trail. The weather when we left home was an overcast day but by the time we found the last piece of fruit , the much needed rain that we had been waiting for was comming down in buckets. We had planned to stop by the track for morning coffee but it was not to be & we returned to a very dry Port Macquarie.
The CO's had came along on a maintenance run also, luckily they did as one of the trees that a nut was attached to had taken a fall in the forest. A replacement was soon completed.
I have given number 1 a FP & selected a nano in a tree for the other.
Thanks for placing this cache coongoola

Fruit and nuts, two things we love to eat so we were attracted to this series straight away. Loved the novelty hides and most were found after a short search. We did have Bill and DiMorgan helping with the search as well. Fav point alloc. Thankyou coongoola for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Got off the Tamban Trail and started on the Fruit & Nut series.
Some interesting hides and the pattern was soon established.
All but 1 were located with some requiring a bit more searching than others as the GPS didn't want to cooperate at times.
Thanks for setting up and maintaining the series for our enjoyment.

At our house Wed. is shopping day so we started to write our list. Meat, Veg, Milk, breakfast food, snacks, Umm! we can't have chocolate how about some nuts, Nearly forgot we need some fruit as well.
At this point a light goes off in our heads FRUIT & NUTS Why don't we go do the Fruit and Nut trail. A hasty call was made to a caching buddy and we found our selves ready to go by late morning.
We really enjoyed doing this trail as it ticked our personal boxes. Thank you so much Coongoola for all the time, effort and expense you have gone to for us and others to enjoy. After the first few we tried guessing what would be our next find. I think we ended with the trail up about 8-0. Logs were signed BG & OG to conserve space. Apology for the mostly cut and paste logs but we really do have to go and do the shopping.
Fav on way for the trail thank you once again.

Have had this trail on the radar for quite some time now and decided to save it for the December souvenir. Ozglory and I teamed up to make a day of it. So far, so good, thoroughly enjoying the trail. The copy and paste nature of the logs in no way reflect our appreciation and enjoyment of the journey. So, we have arrived at the end of the trail, so glad we didn't try and do this in the Commodore, would have been a bit dicey at this end of the trail. Loved all the camos, thoroughly enjoyed the day, now home for a nice lunch. Many thanks coongoola for the time and effort put into this trail FP awarded for the trail. Log signed as BG & OG to save space.
Found it. We have thoroughly enjoyed your fruit and nut trail. And I said I was going to do a generic log ( that didn’t happen ), each cache was the same but different and each deserves its own log. Thanks coongoola for the enjoyment of finding all these caches. Favourite point awarded for the effort put into this trail. Looking forward to the next one.
#15030. Day 5 of a short holiday and today Robmc and I are caching around the SW Rocks area. Early on we rolled over 2 big milestones - Rob - 24 000 and me 15 000. We finished off the Tamban Series and completed the BH Fruit & Nut Trail, gathering a few others along the way for a total of 45 for the day. It was a lovely day out in the bush.
Oh dear we did find this series hard work. It took us almost 2 hours to find 21 caches. Future finders take note - pointy-nosed tweezers are an absolute must!!! We did not have any, only ordinary tweezers and they were not always successful. We loved the fruit but were not keen on the nuts.
Lucky last of the series and signing off on it at 3.03pm. Removed sodden log and replaced with a Rite-in-the-Rain log sheet.
Thanks coongoola

Day five of out quick trip north. BettyBoo3747 and I spent today around South West Rocks. We finished off the Tamban Trail and the Fruit an Nut trail caches, then came back into town and walked the back beach..
After a very wet night and morning, it turned into a very nice day.
One a day keeps the cachers at bay!
Thanks for this very entertaining series.

Been meaning to do this trail for a while, but have had heaps on and no time to do it.
Decided to tackle this trail on the way back from having lunch at South West Rocks with my wife Anissa288.
Found on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Looking forward to completing this trail to get some numbers up as i have been quit on the caching front over recent months.
Located cache without too much trouble and soon had log signed and back in the container. Signed micros as N & A.
Both Anissa288 and myself loved the trail and the concept.
Thankyou for creating and maintaining this trail.

Thanks heaps for the trail - we loved the containers - I’d say someone hasn’t closed them properly as nearly all fruit logs are damp or soaked - Nudge74 and I enjoyed your trail - thanks for creating it!
found today as part of a big caching day out to try and complete the tamban trail and the BH fruit and nut trail. thanks for all the work put into these caches, as it makes for an enjoyable day. log was mush and unsignable. thanks for an awesome series, took about 1.5 hours to complete in the end with each cache as excellent as the last. sadly all the fruit logs and one nut log are soaked and need to be replaced, so i could only sign the nut logs towards the end. thanks anyway for the series coongoola
Found it and All Good to our Fun For the Day to catch the Caches and All Cutes lol
Time to tackle this nutty trail to see how fruitful it might be
After splashing though a few muddy puddles,
I reached the start of the trail,
if you count backwards of course [:o)]
I hopped out of the geomobile and spied this one in a few seconds.
All good with this one

After an all night drive from Newcastle to Tamworth to South West Rocks, I arrived here just on dawn to complete the Mangrove Madness series, and then headed off to complete the Fruit & Nut Trail. I started off this series in reverse order, and as I was speaking with my sister for her birthday, I had realised that I had taken almost 2 hours to find 5 caches. I soon got a wriggle on, and found the remaining caches in good order except #9 and #7 which have soaked logs, and can't be removed without them falling apart any further. i loved the concept of this trail...and enjoyed finding each off the novelty containers...even though some of those gumnuts were hard to spot.

On being close to the area today and seeing this series was unfound we changed our caching targets and headed over. A mob of goats was spotted close to the start of the trail and there was still some water on parts of the trail.
Part of the series was harder to spot than others but once we got onto into the theme we sped up the hunting.
A few of the logs were a bit wet but writable. Definitely needed a tool to get a number of the logs out.
Blank logs all around and we added our name. **FTF**. TFTC
