Weve come to Stanthorpe for 2 nights in our van to hopefully finish getting enough caches to earn the current souvenirs. We had a great day today finding a variety of hides but I must admit Ill be happy not to see another granite boulder for a while!!!Thanks Granite Belt Cachers for the placement and maintenance of these caches.
We parked off the road and did a quick walk to G.Z. Cleaned the water out of the cache and signed the log the best we could.
Hi, sorry to say we had no replacement logs with us today. Could the next geo replace the wet log.
Stamped butt a little smudged, as everything in cache is soaking wet so a new logbook and some better waterproofing maybe needed
Out at Stanthorpe for our anniversary weekend. Temed up with ILTW and Legend for a few caches. TFTH
Enjoying a weekend in Stanthorpe and out looking for a few caches while we are here. Found some new geocaching friends, snigglepopsQuick find but the log was very wet.
A little cache time before work this morning. Found this one easily enough.TNLNSL.TFTC ...
Fumbling around in the snow, I found a few of these
Found without falling over, which is pretty amazing, considering where most of these caches are hidden. Thanks for the hidg Granite Belt Cachers

Given my history of finds among rocks, this was an easy find today. Added my name in the log and replaced. TFTC, GBC.
We are on our way back home. We went to QOGM 2022 in Charleville first, then decided to go on a camping trip in NSW for a change and visited also Canberra.
Now we stay a couple of days in Stanthorpe.

This one was a quick find once the GPS steered me away from those rocks and over to those rocks. Thanks for the cache
After a very early start to the day yes 4 am on the second coldest day in the year. Willis007 and I left Brisbane and headed to Stanthorpe and Girraween for a walk and catchup with a few other crazy people. It got to -4 degrees at one point of the journey but that did not stop the enthusiasm of the group.
We finished our big trail walks and started to collect caches around the area. We headed south to a particular challenge cache for Willis007 and then we headed north back towards town, collecting more caches, timing it to finish before our dinner event at 5.30pm.
We split up from our caching buddies, Willis007 and I went off to grab the Elementary series and a few others in the area before our dinner event. It was going to be fast work as we had just an hour an 10 minutes before the dinner bell. All the caches in the series were there, some were quick finds and a couple placements took us a little longer. We even managed a couple of trads on the way back.
This one I found hanging around, a quick sign and I was on the road again. Thanks for the cache.

A great day out in Girraween National Park with chamad, Peppa, Pirate Linda and Beardman75. The main focus was to visit some of the waypoints for the earthcache in the area, and to attend the event in the evening.
Of course, there are always plenty of caches to visit while in the area, we made sure we made the most of the beautiful day.
With daylight quickly fading, we made the stop here, and luckily found the cache quickly.
Thanks Granite Belt Cachers for bringing us here.

Soggy wet log. We added a new log strip but the plastic bag needs replacing. Thanks for this one.
Quick easy find during a drive in the country side - lovely weather on a cold winter day
There was lots of long grass around here today as Mr Herbz headed off to JGZ. Mrs Herbz was a little slower at getting out of the car and a farmer on a tractor came along on in the field on the opposite side of the road. He called out to see if we were ok which was very kind of him, meanwhile Mr Herbz made the find. TFTC granite belt cachers.
I mentioned to some geobuddies that I wanted to go to Stanthorpe to finally collect the last of the Apple caches. A plan was hatched and a weekend away was planned. The weather did not look promising this morning, so we started out a bit earlier than originally planned. After lunch, we headed to this one. A quick find was made and the log signed. TFTC
Road trip to Stanthorpe from Brisbane and collecting a few ALs, bonuses as well as other caches. Thanks so much for showing us around your local area - it is greatly appreciated.
A long weekend up on the Southern Downs from Brisbane, looking for caches from Clifton down to Stanthorpe and in between. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches - much appreciated. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
Found it!! Thanks for the cache. Swapped finger skateboard for hot wheels car. Onto the next cache!!!
Second day of our Geocaching sortie to Stanthorpe. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny Spring day, today is wet, windy and bloody cold! 9 degrees with an apparent temperature of 4! Don't you love the stupid things that Geocaching makes you do

Off to visit another winery. Thank heavens for some caches. Chose the wrong pile but once distance got a bit big a quick pivot had me on top of it. Glorious day. Tftc
Looking between rocks for caches never gets old. Sometimes the simplest of hides can have you circling for ages.
On a second pass of somewhere I had been I kicked myself for not seeing this straight away. Mrs Woodyrothwell was keen on making a few swaps and she had never been interested in any swag before. Maybe once I told her that her chocolate holiday budget was all spent she is looking for ways to make money at the op-shop.
I raced back to the car to grab our last pieces of swag to trade. I also found an old favourite to swap. tftc

Quick pick up this evening upon arrival in Stanthorpe. A bit of drizzle but still quiet nice.
TFTC! Nice easy find thanks. Decided to go for a drive after work to find a cache today. Really enjoy spur of the moment after work cache finds!
On our way home from the Mega at St Arnaud and we spend the 19th in Tamworth and made our way to Stanthorpe on the 20th. Arrived and cached and went out to see Ian and Chris and the other occupants of the house. Stayed in Stanthorpe over night 20th and at 5 am this morning re started the cache hunt. Finished in Stanthorpe and made our way to Toowoomba via Warwick and found the ones there that sere suited to our time schedule and then on to Toowoomba where we cached till 6 pm. On our way to the Sunshine Coast where we will be attending a family function on the 23rd. Signed all logs with youngoldfella where ever possible but if the logs were micro or small used my usual YOF signature. All good here. TFTC
We are on our war to Blackall, our 2nd night on our trip is at Stanthorpe.
Stanthorpe at the moment the area has been devastated by many fire in the region & it's the wonderful work by the firies that has saved the many homes. To add to this the town is also going through a major drought. Our base is at the Robin's Nest where a flurry of activity is happening with their charity work & now the added work of collecting & distributing food & clothing to the many effected people.
A real experience to spend a couple of days here.
Always tiime to locate a couple of caches.
The area was burnt all around but this cache had survived the ravages of the bush fire. FP for being able to survive through this fire.
Thankyou for placing this cache

Found at 10:59 AM GAFF1.
This is a complete mystery - the cache is a solid screw top container, it is hidden under a rock ledge and when opened - it had water in it!! Now how the heck does that happen?
Thanks Granite Belt Cachers.

On a drive out of Stanthorpe towne,
I stopped by this GZ.
No need to look at the clue was there
So I clambered around,
and poked here and there,
until the cache was found fair 'n' square

7482 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1505. Caching between showers today. This was perhaps the easiest of the last 4 Snow Flakes hides to find. SL Tnx Granite Belt cachers.
