We are driving around this side of Stanthorpe, enjoying the scenery. Stopped and grabbed this smile. Tftc
Enjoying a weekend in Stanthorpe and out looking for a few caches while we are here. Quick find.
No parking on the road, but there is a good pull-off on the left, before the bridge. And that will be where you will find the cache. The coords for GZ is in the open but after reading the previous activity logs, the cache was a fairly fast find. TFTC!
Restricted for time this morning before work, I headed up this way for some cache time. Got this one on the way back from another further up. Too early for a nearby cache. In preparation for the road getting a "second coat" , there was a Muggle in a little street sweeper nearby. Walked along the road until I realised I could have driven closer off-road. Made a bee-line to GZ. There has been some earth pushed up and over ... but I managed to find the cache. To be on the safe side, I replaced just a couple of feet out of the way ... but still within GZ area.Took the space blanket. Left some little pieces of swag. Signed Log.TFTC ...
Fumbling around in the snow, I found a few of these
Another cache requiring the aid of a mountain goat. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers

Found this one out in the open,I’d say a muggle has found it but replaced it back in the rocks.TFTC
After scrambling around the rocks and leaving some dna samples, it was finally eagle-eyed Mrs George who spotted this one a little way from my GPS GZ. Added to the log and replaced. TFTC, GBC.
parked in completely the wrong spot and clambered toward GZ. One of us soon went back to get the car and drive to a better parking spot which had room to turn a caravan around. RFC was still searching when I got back to her, so I went around towards the back and spotted the cache open to the sky. tipped it out, replaced the log and some swag and replaced it where made caching sense to us and the gps. tftc
Full time nomads since 2014.
Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots and floods

This cache took a bit of scrambling to find. Mrs Herbz began the search first hunting up and down and was then joined by Mr Herbz who eventually spied the cache. TFTC granite belt cachers.
I mentioned to some geobuddies that I wanted to go to Stanthorpe to finally collect the last of the Apple caches. A plan was hatched and a weekend away was planned. The weather did not look promising this morning, so we started out a bit earlier than originally planned. After finding a nearby cache, we headed to this one. A quick find was made and the log signed. TFTC
Road trip to Stanthorpe from Brisbane and collecting a few ALs, bonuses as well as other caches. Thanks so much for showing us around your local area - it is greatly appreciated.
A long weekend up on the Southern Downs from Brisbane, looking for caches from Clifton down to Stanthorpe and in between. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches - much appreciated. Found cache and signed log. TFTC

On way back from Warwick after dashing up there early this morning. Now back in the Stanthorpe region and with my buddy in hospital overnight, feel the need to do something useful and, well, there’s always caching
This could have been a long search in inappropriate footwear, so grateful for a quick find. Cache in VGC Dropped a trackable

Took a while to find this one. Read a few previous logs which narrowed the search area a bit. Eventually found it about 9metres from where our GPS wanted us to look.

TFTC! Took me a little bit to find this one, but once I widened my search, I had this one in hand.
On our first drive by there was a car parked in close picking up the spoils. We didn’t know if it was a road worker, a council worker, geocacher, drug dealer or all four. We left it for the return leg to collect.
It was starting to get dark and therefore cold and so we needed to high-tail it into town for some warmth and dinner. tftc

Short on time so only a few caches in the area today. This was number two. Quick find and all is well. TFTC.
Nice cache. Son swapped a toy from the cache. He found this one and is really enjoying the sport. TFTC
On our way home from the Mega at St Arnaud and we spend the 19th in Tamworth and made our way to Stanthorpe on the 20th. Arrived and cached and went out to see Ian and Chris and the other occupants of the house. Stayed in Stanthorpe over night 20th and at 5 am this morning re started the cache hunt. Finished in Stanthorpe and made our way to Toowoomba via Warwick and found the ones there that sere suited to our time schedule and then on to Toowoomba where we cached till 6 pm. On our way to the Sunshine Coast where we will be attending a family function on the 23rd. Signed all logs with youngoldfella where ever possible but if the logs were micro or small used my usual YOF signature. All good here. TFTC
We are on our war to Blackall, our 2nd night on our trip is at Stanthorpe.
Stanthorpe at the moment the area has been devastated by many fire in the region & it's the wonderful work by the firies that has saved the many homes. To add to this the town is also going through a major drought. Our base is at the Robin's Nest where a flurry of activity is happening with their charity work & now the added work of collecting & distributing food & clothing to the many effected people.
A real experience to spend a couple of days here.
Always tiime to locate a couple of caches.
Thankyou for placing this cache

Another one that took a while to locate and thankfully it was a regular! It was just well concealed in the shadows under the rocks.

Sorry for the generic logs but there are so many caches in this area and there are only so many things you can write. We have loved caching our way here and around the area. We are only here for a day or two so not sure how many will will get done, but we will do our best. Thank you to each and every CO for the effort that has been needed to place and maintain the caches that we were fortunate enough to make it to. Thanks.
Cruising the snowflake trail today,
