The air was filled with the chattering of the birds overhead in the trees as we wandered over to GZ. A noisy miner was busy finding some lunch and didnt notice our approach and we got to within about 1m of it when it suddenly looked up startled, then flew away. We spotted the cache quickly and then used a natural TOTT to extracted it from its hide. Thanks RoddyC

Having been stuck at home with tradies on site for a while now, I took the opportunity of a public holiday to get out & do some exploring. The cache was located in the first place I looked, so I’m happy to say my mark is on the log & a smiley is on my map TFTC

Day 15 of our attempt to get the new souvenirs. Our longest streak up until now was 10 days. So thanks to the new souvenirs we have now bettered it!! But I do think we can miss a few days and still get the souvenirs.

I had a 5pm appointment at Lifeblood which I was already late for as my daughter in law was late picking up the grandkids.
I hadn’t had a chance to get a cache today and found this one close by. I often struggle finding RoddyC caches but decided to give it 10mins. Wandered around in the almost dark for a bit looking at the obvious places and I was very happy to find it tucked nicely away. All in good order. Signed in the dark and replaced.

Now at Lifeblood and they’re short staffed. Could be a long night!! Hence why I have time to write this log!!!

Thanks RoddyC for the cache.

With the geowife out at the ballet it was time to go hunt for Tupperware in nature.

This cache took awhile to locate but sometimes this can add to the joy experienced when you finally make the find.

This was definetly one of those caches and I really enjoyed the chance to pen my name on this log before returning it back to its hiding spot.

A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.

Cheers

It rained this morning and it is raining tonight. In between Mr 10 and I took the geopup for an outing and a chance to get some more caches towards the 100 for the Wheel of Challenges put out by headquarters.

I didn't quite know where to start after looking at that very overwhelming garden, the tree, the hint that it was "near" the rocks was telling me it wasn't actually "at" the rocks. I decided to search at the easiest spot. Took a bit of digging but Mr10 was happy on the swing. So much so that I had to wait until 10 mins until he was ready to move on. I don't mind. Caching isn't just about the numbers or the smiles, it is about the experience and the getting out of the house. He was out of the house, which in itself was a 2 hr battle!

Today, jesswrigley and I planned the morning with a mountain bike ride in Daisy Hill / Koala Bushland Coordinated Conservation Area. We roughly followed the waypoints of [MTB Madness](https://coord.info/GC1J639) whilst making a clockwise loop around the area, followed by an early banh mi lunch.
I then had a solo afternoon that I utilised to visit many of the Daisy Hill *Parks and Recreation Series* caches, and finally, I took a visit to Kimberley Forest Park before then needing to dash to make a Brisbane CBD pickup.

I parked off Caloola Drive and jogged my way towards Hibebertia Park to GZ. I did read the description first and noted the hint about where the cache was hidden, but I thought I'd follow my GPS first. When I was checking around the fenceline and those rocks, I thought I'd head to the obvious feature, and a reasonably quick cache find was made. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Subsequently, it did feel like the coordinates were 10-13 m out, with my GPS indicating the cache at S 27° 37.744' E 153° 08.615'. Perhaps the coordinates are actually better than this and my GPS was just getting impacted by the tree cover here, otherwise, something to watch. Thanks RoddyC for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This is a lovely park. So many little rock areas for young people to climb and run around on. There was also some lovely shade at GZ. We sat on the rocks in the shade and signed the log. We had the park to ourselves, other than one spur-winged plover who did not seem too interested in us.
Thanks RoddyC

Out and about today grabbing some Earthcaches I had spied on the map whilst visiting family on the Gold Coast. I managed to visit 5 different Earthcaches today which was great Big Grin also picked up a few random traditionals that were nearby.

This one was a nice quick find fortunately as there are quite a number of places this one could be hidden. Cache and contents are all in good condition. Log signed and cache replaced as found.

Thanks for the cache placement RoddyC Big Grin

Thanks to the previous poster I found I had been looking in the wrong area. Thanks.

Visited this cache this afternoon while accompanying the CO on a maintenance trip. While the CO suspected this might be missing, Mr STW dug around and found it right where it should be. The cache wasn't on or too near the fence, and in fact we learned on this trip that this CO doesn't like hides on fences! The clue narrowed down the search area, and Mr STW quickly found a neat little hidey-hole where the cache fitted neatly.
Thank you for the great cache and a fun afternoon hunting down caches!

I felt a little bit weird about this one to have a decent look. Was thinking the neighbour it was near, assuming it was next to the fence line, might come out so I left.

Sorry generic part of the post.
What an awesome day or should that be exhausting! Out with geonayfee to try and complete 50 plus caches in a day. With this cache we completed it.
We completed 2 series and a few target caches, a few earth caches and a couple of puzzles…. Awesome day and a lot of driving and walking but the challenge was completed, thank you for being part of our challenge, next is 80 in a day 

14-Mar-20
Chamad was telling me the other day that he was wanting to try and do 50 caches in a day for the badge, so yesterday I asked if he was keen to go out and find them. We organised a time and place to start our run which was by Burbank. We wandered around a few reserves and then decided to head towards Springwood for a few Earth caches, mystery’s and trads.

All in all we had a great day out and we’re both completely exhausted.

Sorry for the generic post.

Out caching with E Smile and Snickersallan today. This was a nice quick find in a lovely spot. We did some bush regeneration while we were here after spotting some invasive weed coming out from under the neighbors fence. Popped it in an aldi bag and removed from site.

Having not visited a Parks and Recreation Series cache for a while, I needed to see how far the virus had spread. Like trying to force a teenager to get haircut, sometimes you just want to clip the fringe to stop the growth from getting out of control.

I looked in the car for a pen but I found some other magic. There in the console was a new Woodyrothwell stamp. It was shiny and fresh and I gave it a long passionate smell like a new car. The ink was addictive so I gave it a couple more smells.

I want to say I found the cache quickly but I was more excited about seeing the press of a new stamp in ink on its maiden log. It was a special occasion and the curves of the stamp will be long burnt into my retina, or I really have sniffed in too much stamp. tftc

Today wad the chance to get some caches in this are done. Since we live in Brisbane, we have never done any geocaching around here – just because we live on the other side and for some reasons other ideas come up on the limited time caching together. As geowife is somewhere far north for work, I can do my own thing for a week and decided to get onto this area and clear some caches in RoddyC’s backyard.

Found quickly.

After finishing with my appointment nearby, went in search of a cache to fill in my missing days on my calendar.
Went to another cache but didn't feel up to a tree climb or a long walk for an Earthcache. So this was the one for today. Nice hide, hint and cache.

Found on 1 November 2018. TFTC, RoddyC.

2 Oct. 2018 09:35.
With an event to attend at Broadbeach in the afternoon, I spent the day caching my way down there from Brisvegas, nabbing some solved puzzles and anything interesting along the way. Arriving at the parking coords, a short walk to GZ and a quick search was all that was required to locate the container.

This traditional cache makes find number 5,555. Thanks for placing and maintaining it **RoddyC**.

This was another after dark find. Sometimes these are easy and sometimes just not possible. I thought it would be the latter tonight as there were a few options. Persistence pays off and I eventually found it exactly where it should have been as the phone was in a cooperative mood as long as gave it time to settle.
Cache was dry and well on my visit.
