I'll archive this one. The road will be closed from the Kyogle end for some time until bridges are repaired.
Due to a landslip, this road is currently closed - I'll replace as soon as it re-opens.
I was in the general vicinity.. probably just so I can say I stuck my nose in New South Wales for the first time in about 7 months
When I arrived at this familiar spot, it was crawling with people. Then suddenly.. all at once.. they got back in their cars and drove away. Don't like my deodorant or something?
When the coast was clear I made a move and soon found the prize a lot closer than I thought it would be. I signed the log and rehid the cache as found. I am glad it doesn't seem to have a penchant to roll about.
This was my first physical find for the month. Happy to make it yet another worthy MattyRx cache. A wonderful area for a cache with a great view. Hope you're doing well, Matt. Take care of yourself, mate. TFTC

Miss5 found this without even looking. We stopped off on a long drive to a place we’ve been many a time and curious Geokids were playing in just the right spot.
I was actually the first to try to find this one in the original hide where it went missing. Established with owner where it was suppose to be and he confirmed it was missing soon after. Today was the first opportunity since then to find this. There was a number of muggles around had to wait for them to move on. Thanks for this one.
Away for the weekend with RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan, GrannySmith 1947 and TMZ59 caching in the Casino-Lismore area.
Day 3 and we are finishing up the puzzles and making our way home via a few more caches.
Have stopped here a few times but never been able to find the cache (too many people). Today was a different story. A quick find but no luck on the view with the clouds so low. Maybe on a clear day.

We left the caravan at Rathdowney and took Running creek road heading south. Our aim was to collect caches and enjoy the drive and scenery. We haven't been this way before. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. The green of the countryside was so beautiful and the creeks running were so pretty and clear. The high grass caused us some grief when searching and a bit of time was attributed to removing cobbler pegs, pesky things that they are. We didn't realize we'd get as far as Kyogle but as we followed the caches we found ourselves getting closer. Went to town for a late lunch, fuel top up and purchased some lovely fresh fruit and veg from the fuel outlet. Thanks for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area. We loved this one and learning about the railway was so interesting. We had morning coffee, a loo break, enjoyed the view and left a trackable. Fav point allocated
Grateful to find this cache when in a bad mood because border crpssing unexpectedly closed... meaning a very looooong drive now required to backtrack & cross elsewhere. Also managed to drop a long held trackable.

After completing the maintenance run on Collins creek road and grabbing a cup of tea in the charming village of Kyogle, RoddyC and I headed back north with a plan to get as many caches as possible on our way back to Logan. My personal aim was to break my daily record which I did with ease.
It was especially nice to find a new cache which RoddyC hadn't found himself yet.
The information about the loop and the local wildlife was as interesting as the view. Unfortunately none of my tbs would fit in here. Tftc and UTV

TFTC. Great spot. Unfortunately we didn’t catch sight of a train even though we tried to look up train time tables - no luck anywhere. Local said thru don’t publish them because of fear of a bomb, yet everyone knows that there are regular morning and evening trains. Go figure.
I’d been here before in late 1977/early 1978 - I was doing a bit of bush bashing when I busted a birfield joint, hand brake drum and winch, and had to dismantle a picnic table from the look out to get down a steep cutting onto the track. Once fixed (sort of) we reassembled the picnic table; watched the train go through (we could get time tables then) and carried on. No problems. It’s changed a lot since then.

Taking the scenic road. Great views from the Lookout.
Found. Good hide for the Cache.
Thankyou.

Taking the scenic route home to Qld and we stopped by here for a look at this iconic bit of railway infrastructure. And to find this cache No trains today.
There is no TB here as mentioned in Note below.
Thanks for this beaut cache MattyRx.

Drooping off the TB I accidentally logged in a different cache. The next finder can grab it now. Brew
On a road trip from Sydney with muggle mates and camped at Forest Tops in the Border Ranges NP, we stopped here for a morning tea break. The hint was perfect and with no other muggles about it was a quick CIH. Signed one muggle as "The King", as he may take this hobby up since he's been my lucky charm while searching.
Dropped off a TB I picked up yesterday. What a sneaky hide! Great spot. Have a FP. TFTC

I’ve been wanting to come check this spot out for years. Today was a good opportunity with a new cashe close by. Thanks for hiding and maintaining at this historical spot.
Loved reading about the looped track. I had no idea this was here. Pretty cool hide too. Thanks for the cache
Spent a good 20 min here with no idea. I see Beardman grabbed it the very next day. Go figure.
Following my GPS to Wollongong I found myself driving on a new road. It’s so pretty through here. Stopped for a look at the lookout and new there had to be a cache.
Had the whole lookout to ourselves this afternoon. Very cold though! Admired the view for a while hoping for a train but no such luck. While reading the area info, J soon reached the cache.
On our way home from Byron Bay, taking the very long scenic route to avoid the highways. Continuing here to Rathdowney, Boonah, Amberley, Somerset, Kilcoy, then home to Eudlo, Sunshine Coast.

Heading up to Rathdowney and the Lions Road and attempting to turn some blue faces to yellow and to go over the border for a cache.
Pretended to be reading the sign while RL was locating the cache. Thanks MattyRx.

Arrived at GZ - there were quite a number of push bike riders resting, so I had to be careful not to cause a scene trying to locate the cache. Found cache with no one looking to see what I was doing.
Visiting friends nearby at cougal, the lure of the tb had me coming up here even though home is in the other direction. The tb i have with me to drop off wont fit here so couldnt do a swap. Despite different groups of muggles i was able to get the cache without too many dramas. Replacing it was slightly harder.
Set up camp just back along the road at Andrew Dryman Park ! Did a bit of a Reci re the "LOOP' also discovered a cache! signed and replaced, Thanks MattyRX
Out on a maintenance run, I stopped off to find this cache. This is one of my favourite stop-off points along this road. The cache was quickly located. I took it to the nearby table to sign the log. As I was putting the log back in the container, a car arrived. Muggles got out and went directly to GZ. Grrr.....I know there is interesting reading there, but please move! Then they split up....one went to admire the view and the other headed off to the toilets. I was about to make my move when the one who was headed to the view turned around and headed back to the car! Grrrr!!! Then he went back to the sign. Really???? I have a cache to replace!!! His partner arrived back at the sign, just as another car load of muggles arrived. Some went to the bathroom and others to the sign! I think this group was hoping that I would give up the picnic table. Nope! I wasn't leaving until they gave up GZ! During the Mexican stand-off that lasted for about half an hour, the first couple of muggles left. this second group was stubborn, but I was too. Eventually, they gave up and left. Finally, I was able to return the cache to its spot before I, too, continued on my way. TFTC
Easiest cache found ever. last person must of not put it away properly and it was sitting on the ground and when you find it you'll no what I mean by sitting on the ground. I seen it from the car haha. Please put them back properly
This has been sitting in my drafts for ages forgotten. Out with geopartner for a rare day of caching. My apologies if this appears in multiple caches but I have been really slack and accumulated a heap of drafts and not done anything about them.
Been to this spot a lot of times and glad there is a cache here. Easy find and left a couple of swapables. Thanks for the cache.
Heading to Brisbane along the scenic route stopped to show brother from Canberra the view and wow look there’s a cache, made a quick find of it, signed and we were on our way. TFTC
This has always been a favourite call in spot while travelling this road, glad its finally got a cache to find that can be found.TFTC.
This FTF was an unexpected surprise. We were on our way back from climbing Mt Greville and just dropped by to grab another cache.
Made a quick find and dropped a trackable then we discovered it was a ftf. Luckily we had the place to ourselves for a good 15 minutes so we were able to grab a few photos over the lookout with 5 other trackables.
Thanks Mattyrx

Went to check on this cache today, and I found it - about 4 meters up inside the metal conduit that it was located near. I'm thinking a small animal may have dragged it up in there, and without any tools to extract it, I've decided to hide another container - this time in a slightly different location. So the cache is now ready to be found (again), and hopefully nothing takes this one away. If anyone is interested in finding the original container, jump the safety rail to the right of the lookout - a metal support beam runs along where the lookout decking begins. You can just see the container half way up this support.
