Logs
GPS bounced around a bit but soon found it. Log book a bit full but all good. TFTC
Waah second one we couldn't find today, folliage very thick and with a 4 month old and a 4 year old
Not Number 20 (for the day) but by sign number 20. Nice area nearby off the main river, plenty of wildlife to bee hold. Buzz, ouch, my hand.
Into Townsville for a few weeks with work, sleeping in a tent in a field near a busy road isn't that bad really, when you're tired you soon acclimatize. Flew in yesterday from NZ and after unpacking and orientating myself we had the day to ourselves. I headed out for an early coffee before breakfast and after that I headed our for my first foray into Townsville. With not many transport options aside from Shanks's pony I covered over 27km of ground, but suffered with a swollen foot for a few days afterwards. Started off with a run of 5 or 6 DNFs, but soon turned it around afterwards. Thanks to all COs for their hides found today.

Thanks for the quick find... instinct over gps - didn't feel like a swim nearly forgot to log a cache today for the World Record attempt so quick find before dark.
Lucky the hint is in the name because the GPS would have had us swimming in the Ross!
TFTC. I made the find on the way home from work in order to keep my daily streak alive.
Wow! This area really is very beautiful and peaceful. We walked along the flat area by the water and arrived at this one.
Enormous pink water lilies were dotted along the way.
We found this one quickly in a most likely place.
Log signed.

Lucky there was a hint, as today my GPS was about ten metres out here. Found after a wander. I left a pendant. TFTC choppersrule.
Out and helped KidDownUnder and Musy13 make the find after running ahead of the group when doing the cross country track
Went in middle of cross country practice with GeoKidNQ, had to run in front of class to log the cache without the teacher seeing us. Very good cache and tftc.
What a wonderful little area. We didn't scan the QR codes but it's a great idea. No problems with the cache. Tftc
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 14. Townsville post Mega section Day 2. For my last day in Townsville, I joined TikvaNZ for another section of the Ross River power trail, with a bit of on and off again rain and a closed section we did pretty well. After that I set myself a list of puzzles and other non -trad caches to find for the day, which all took a lot longer than I expected, not to mention the ongoing rain all day. It has been a wonderful time in Townsville, and I have many more caches to get, so hopefully I will get to pass through again later in the year.
Thanks for the cache choppersrule

Day 14 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. This morning Albida33 and I did some more of the Ross River Power Trail by bike/scooter. Apart from having to skip 4 due to being fenced off, all caches we attempted were soon found. TFTC.

Looks like I won't get enough time to collect Numbers 1 to 19 before flying out later today. I should have been better prepared and on a speedy electric limb breaker. Maybe next time I'll look for the other numbers, thanks choppersrule.
Targeting some of the RRPT trail today. This was a nice easy find. TFTC Dropped off AL TB
With a goal of collecting 150 caches in a day, our plan was to tackle both geoarts, hit the RRPT and collect some other caches in between. An early start was in order to achieve this goal before getting ready for the Trivia night at the MEGA.
A huge thank you to all the COs for preparing and placing the caches we collected today, the variety of hide locations, types and containers was fantastic.

The day had come; the plan to get 150 caches (excluding labs) in a day for another challenge was here. The planning and prep started two months ago when I was at the Wangaratta mega. With the recent zoom events for puzzle solving a big help and the Geoarts of the saint and the book catering for two thirds of the task, it was just a matter of finding 50 more caches so as I was able to complete. Today I had Willis007 with me; we picked on a few quick easy finds as we were passing and motoring between arts. We then grabbed the bikes and went for a ride around along the Ross river parkway or is that power trail.
The Geoarts were found easy and thank you. The book art did slow us down a little with some hides a little tuff to find. the power trail was fun some good caches and some that also slowed us down. However, by the end of the day we were done and the challenge completed.
Thanks to my caching buddies, the CO’s for the caches and the great areas I got to see today.

Nice quick find. We didnt factor in our height from the cache so we had to walk through a tonne of leaf litter. TFTC!
We are cruising within Townsville to get some caches before the Mega starts.

Found while out on a river walk with our little geo-terrier and his friend. Thanks
Coongoola & Geodog are on an adventure travelling to the Townsville event in Qld. We found your cache today, 9 April 2022 5:15 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC choppersrule
I downloaded a few caches along the river last year and now I actually have a chance to find a few. Number 10 find for the day, the hint was a good starting point. TFTC.
A nice little park of the river trail for this one. When I saw the sign I saw why it was 20. Another choppersrule cache under my belt. Thanks for placing for my enjoyment
