Heading to Stanthorpe for the weekend but made a detour for a new cache. Seeing as this one was on my drive made sure to stop and create a smiley. Found the cache without a hassle and left my mark. Thanks for the cache Granite Belt Cachers
We woke today to quite cool and foggy morning so we decided to wait around for things to warm up a bit.It was then we received a phone call from a family member traveling south that they were heading through Stanthorpe and would we like to catch up for a coffee. We never pass up the opportunity to catch up with family so it was on! They suggested we meet at a place in Thulimah, and we duly did. This set the agenda for the day. We decided afterwards to head further north up to Dalveen before working our way back home along the Fruit Run. It was only about halfway through the series we realized that there were fruit stalls all along the route, some open but many obviously no longer operational. We guess a new highway finished many of them!We collected a few other caches along the way as well.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Granite Belt Cachers.**SKI Pair****
Just cruising around the area now finding the odd few I havent found in the area, this snowflake was black.TFTC
Heading to Girraween for a long weekend of hiking and exploring. Quick find along the way.Tftc Granite Belt CachersFind #5925
Doing a loop of drive-by caches this morning after 3 days of organised bike riding with opportunistic caching along the way. Been a great weekend in Stanthorpe after 9 long years absence.
We are enjoying our drive around Stanthorpe. There's a great view of the area from here. Tftc
We started the day with a plan of what to find, of course it didn't survive. We still had fun that's what counts. We tried to reach this cache the other day without success. this time we came from a different angle to find the well stocked cache container. tftc
PirateLinda and I have journeyed to Stanthorpe to attend the Catch-up in Stanthorpe event… With nothing more pressing, we’re making a long weekend of it…
The giant thermometer in Stanthorpe announced it was 11.0 degrees today… which meant at some stages I had three layers of clothing on, including a down jacket…
Following the geotrail it didn’t take long to locate the container… tftc…

Headed out to this one as it’s on our way to Winter 1 Wonderland. The bridge is out to come from the south but this detour worked. Found the cache in good condition and gladly signed the log.
Cheers and happy caching!
Cheers and happy caching!
Have not had a caching run for a few weeks, so decided to find some lonely back roads from Warwick to Applethorpe. Of course, they had to contain a few caches. Had hoped for about 10, came home with 15! Can't complain about that. Morning tea and lunch, then some tasting a the cheese factory!
Being very cautios of snakes I picked my way through the scrub and dried out logs to the cache. No snakes today. Thansk Granite Belt Cachers for the hide.

On a rainy day like today there is nothing better than visiting the Christmas Tree Farm and of course finding some geocaches. This cache was located quickly. Thank you Granite Belt Cachers
Just arrived in the area after the long journey down from Warwick mid morning and set abouot geocaching in the area around Delveen. This was and easy find just beforelunch. TFTC.
I mentioned to some geobuddies that I wanted to go to Stanthorpe to finally collect the last of the Apple caches. A plan was hatched and a weekend away was planned. The weather did not look promising this morning, so we started out a bit earlier than originally planned. After finding a nearby cache, we headed to this one. A quick find was made and the log signed. TFTC
Road trip to Stanthorpe from Brisbane and collecting a few ALs, bonuses as well as other caches. Thanks so much for showing us around your local area - it is greatly appreciated.
A long weekend up on the Southern Downs from Brisbane, looking for caches from Clifton down to Stanthorpe and in between. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches - much appreciated. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
I found this geocache on a mystical journey from South Australia, through Victoria, New South Wales and back again.
I did log all of the caches on my handheld GPS however some of the logs did not sychronise properly so I apologise for the generic log on these caches, which are the ones that didn't log proprly from my GPS.
I had a fantastic journey and thank you for placing and maintaining your geocache or earthcache for visitors like me.

I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.
A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.
In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.
Day two and it was an early start, there is so much still to get in the area. A fun and eventful day in many ways, lol.
As we started to work our way back home it was a matter of zigzagging and back tracking the caches to Warwick.

Day two on our epic journey around Stanthorpe and surrounds with Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007.
After some much needed rest we woke up bright and early (Thanks Chamad for the farmyard sounds) and set off for another full day of caching around Stanthorpe to clear up the rest of the Stanthorpe Apple and a few other caches in between, then we slowly made our way back north towards Warwick while grabbing a bunch of caches we didn't get yesterday.
Same as yesterday we had a wonderful time exploring the area. I really enjoy visiting this part of the world, it's a great feeling to get out of the city and enjoy the country life.
Thank you to each and every CO for placing caches at these locations. We had a great time.

It’s some years since I beadled around the Stanthorpe region and the promise of a temperate climate and low humidity drew me here. Lots of caches, cheese, jam, wineries, truffles, happy hour, awesome scenery, you get the picture Even managed to convert a muggle to our evil ways Lots of fun!

After a long anticipated 4 day hike in NSW, that was originally planned for this week, had to be abandoned because of the border closures, Crookedpete, JezNDez and I rearranged the week to start with a hike along the Stretcher Track and end with an extended weekend hiking in Giraween.
Although we were now on the drive back towards Brisbane, we still had a short list of caches yet to find. After finding a cache earlier along the road, we decided to drive on a bit further to have a sticky beak at how the border had been sealed off here for the Covid-19 closures. Our route took us directly past this cache and we stopped off for a quick look. Cache found safe and well and the logbook was duly signed. TFTC

Queensland border closures put an end to a Bromance extended hiking adventure in Oxley Rivers National Park in NSW. Still needing a break, a Bromance plus weekend trip to Stanthorpe with Seffnjarah, JeznDez, Swellerfungus and Lady Sim was organised.
Friday was spent touring the region collecting unloved cache. On Saturday, we hiked to the Junction and then on to the Arch before climbing both Pyramids. Today, we ventured to the Sphinx and Turtle Rock, before climbing the Castle on our return.
Heading for home now, but still time for a few more caches along the way. Having find this one's neighbour, we decided to take a look at the border (nicely fenced off to keep those nasty cockroaches out). Grabbed this one on the way past.
Thanks GBC

Early morning cache in the fantastic Stanthorpe. Love winter in this part of the world.
Kestal and I headed south from Toowoomba on a numbers grab for her next milestone...a total of 57 required...it was a case of see how we go as to whether the numbers would add up today to accomplish her own personal challenge or another trip would be required. There were quite a few on her list that I had already found but I was happy to play chauffeur so she could accomplish her goal. By 11am we were surprised how well we were doing and decided to go for the "big one". A fun day was had and my thanks goes to you for the part you played...apologies for the generic log. TFTC Granite Belt Cachers.
Eskies5 and I planned a trip to Stanthorpe and surrounding areas to nudge me a little closer to a milestone. With the nudge now being a push this was the thirty-seventh stop of what would be 58 finds for the day for me. Found this cache at 10:43am with not a problem. All signed and returned. TFTC
Last day in Stanthorpe and what better way to spend it than finding the odd cache or three, most were easy finds though a couple had us hunting for a few minutes

Found by Mary and David at 17:47. After spending time at Robins' Nest and a survey of their domain, the obligatory photo, and much cuddling of Crystal, we are on our way again. Our thanks to Granite Belt Cachers.
On our way home from the Mega at St Arnaud and we spend the 19th in Tamworth and made our way to Stanthorpe on the 20th. Arrived and cached and went out to see Ian and Chris and the other occupants of the house. Stayed in Stanthorpe over night 20th and at 5 am this morning re started the cache hunt. Finished in Stanthorpe and made our way to Toowoomba via Warwick and found the ones there that sere suited to our time schedule and then on to Toowoomba where we cached till 6 pm. On our way to the Sunshine Coast where we will be attending a family function on the 23rd. Signed all logs with youngoldfella where ever possible but if the logs were micro or small used my usual YOF signature. All good here. TFTC
On our way to QOGM (Blackall) day 14 of our trip. 4 caches for the day and 437 for the trip.TFTC
We are on our war to Blackall, our 2nd night on our trip is at Stanthorpe.
Stanthorpe at the moment the area has been devastated by many fire in the region & it's the wonderful work by the firies that has saved the many homes. To add to this the town is also going through a major drought. Our base is at the Robin's Nest where a flurry of activity is happening with their charity work & now the added work of collecting & distributing food & clothing to the many effected people.
A real experience to spend a couple of days here.
Always tiime to locate a couple of caches.
Thankyou for placing this cache

It was a good caching day today and we picked up some more smiley faces for our map, along with ilook4geo. We found more caches in a few different series and only had one DNF to spoil the day. Each of the caches had the log signed, usually as GP2 and ilg. Each container was then put back into place as it had been found. Our thanks go to Granite Belt Cachers for placing this cache and adding to the fun of the game.
Caching along mostly very quiet country roads today with goingplaces2 gave a really good result for the day. Logs were signed, caches were put back and we were soon headed off to the next find. Thanks for this cache.
We enjoyed this little cache series.
It took us to some parts of Stanthorpe we haven't been to before.
This one stood out in our minds with the great views across the road.

This has been sitting in my drafts for ages forgotten. Out with geopartner for a rare day of caching. My apologies if this appears in multiple caches but I have been really slack and accumulated a heap of drafts and not done anything about them.
Time to log some caches, unfortunately, there is a few so this is a generic log... we came, we saw, we found, we logged, thanks for the cache!
It’s Jamaican hairstyle day at work tomorrow.
I’m already dreading it.

Hi there Granite Belt Cachers.
Passing through Warwick, hoping to catch up with some friends. We didn't manage to catch up, so we went caching towards Stanthorpe instead. All up we found 20 caches & DNF'd 0 in this cache run.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache about 5m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Small Toy.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

8 of 32 caches found today.
We'd been watching the 5 earlier releases of this series since they were published but hadn't had the opportunity to pay a visit this far southwest as yet.
Late Tuesday night we noticed there were another 5 of this series published &, so far, only two of the ten were logged as found.
This was one of them!
Wednesday being a 'free' day we rose early, sorted things at home & set off to see what the day held in store for us.
Bundling Winter the Geo-cat into the Geo-Beast we began the pleasant enough two & a half hour drive which soon had us closing in on GZ in search of our Geo-cat's namesake caches! LOL ...
It was actually these two caches (that had been logged as found) that spurred us on to visit today.
Another nice quick find.
Congratulations to baby&Mrsgopher on FTF.
Made our mark & replaced as found.
