Some night time caching with a torch made this one a little more interesting. TFTC
First find of our big WA trip Just followed the well worn trail to GZVisited Wudinna several times over the years in our travels. Nice little town
A welcome change, a great little town to stop and explore, tftc with jeffner5556
2491 - Heading from Ceduna to Port Augusta was the plan for the day and I hadn't stopped yet, so this was the perfect place to grab a cache or two and of course a lovely pie, donut and milkshake from the Bakery here in town. It was a great lunch and then this was a great cache to find. Found in good condition at 1:22pm. Thanks for placing this one here KoalaSandy.
We are travelling with Pprass and have now set up at the well appointed Wudinna Showgrounds for a couple of days. After setting up we headed out for a look around and to collect the local caches. We were glad it was a quiet Sunday so we could look around properly. Thanks for the tour around the area KoalaSandy
Found at 4:15 PM in the company of The Morris.Last cache for the day before heading back to our camp for some pre-dinner drinks and then a fantastic meal with exquisite wines. Ah - camping in a caravan is just as good as being at home with more scenery Thanks to KoalaSandyFeedback: No TB as usual in the cache!
TFTC. Quick find while staying in Wudinna overnight. Enjoyed the walk collecting smilies
On our travels we found ourselves in Wudinna and took the opportunity to grab some caches this was a nice quick find a little of the track, thanks for placing it
We stay this night on the showground and go to find some geogache and the Adventure Lab. Thanks for the caches und the LAB.
After a two night stay at the Cleve Showgrounds RV Park we are making our way back home to the SW of WA.Decided Wudinna is our destination for tonight. Have offload the caravan at the RV Park, got some fuel and now time for a couple of caches while the van cools down. Why is it that we always take the hard way into a cache then see the easy way out. Thats what happened here, I was walking over branches, etc then had a clear path out A nice new logbook to sign.TFTC
Coordinates changed from:S 33 2.752 E 135 27.462Coordinates changed to:S 33 2.739 E 135 27.462Distance from original: 79.2 feet or 24.2 meters. The pull in bay was altered by Council with toilets being removed, trees being removed and new structures and plantings taking their place. As the cache was originally placed up a tree, which is no longer there, the cache co-ordinates were required to be updated.
This cache was replaced due to going missing. Co-ordinates updated due to changes to the environment.
I attended Wudinna recently to undertake another search for this cache and replace it, but torrential rain hampered the day. The original coordinates of the cache cannot be used as it was up a tree, which has now been removed by local Council. A slight shift in coordinates had it relocated, camouflaged and at ground level but it was continually being found out in the open by members, and now it is missing.I am currently interstate and expect to be back in Wudinna to reinstate this cache in about 6 weeks.
My day finishes with a DNF after a productive caching day. Maybe another time...
Sorry for the late log. Just trying to catch up on some of my logging of caches. I seem to have missed this one because the others in my group had found it previously. This find was part of a week long trip from Adelaide to Kyancutta for the JLWE and then down to Streaky Bay for a couple days before going to Maralinga. It was a great trip with great people. I won a chocolate bar from the CO by answering one of her jokes correctly at the JLWE. TFTC
TFTC. Found last week. I walked from the showground where we were camping to do the adventure lab and found this one in the way. Love the welcome signs here. I’m from the Hunter Valley
12470 Located by baby&Mrs gopher on our travels back towards the east at 1220. Now there is a fence that needed to be handled at arms length. The container was out on the ground so it was replaced with some bark cover on top. SL Tnx KoalaSandy.
on our June longweekend run with geocaching group and events following up on the maralinga tour.

So what are we doing this week...
(Go west) Life is peaceful there.
(Go west) Lots of open air.
(Go west) To find caches new.
(Go west) This is what we'll do.
(Go west) Sun in winter time.
(Go west) We will do just fine.
(Go west) Where the skies are blue.
(Go west) This and more we'll do.
(Go west) Life is peaceful there.
(Go west) Lots of open air.
(Go west) To find caches too.
(Go west) This is what we'll do.
(Go west) together together we'll cache on our way
(Go west) together together you map me the way
(Go west) you cache places new
(Go west) this is what we'll do
(Go west) life is smiley there
(with thanks and apologies to the Village People and Pet Shop Boys - who must have been cat lovers!)
And ending up soon at Kyancutta
---------------- ----------------------
--------------------------------------
Country, Coffee, Cats, Champagne, Chocolate, and Caching...
Careful caching as always with Jack helping, wherever we go.
It's a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and objects falling from trees
...... but a cache a day still keeps the boredom away
--------
Most of our caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp )
----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside
It's awesome of all those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!
[:o)]
The end. For now...
... until next time!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... be there or be backward!
29.2.24 It's gone MEGA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kids love finding all the cool things. We need to find something unique to add to our finds.
Heading back to WA for a visit. Picked up a couple of caches with the caravan on tow, then once at Ceduna van unhitched and off to find a couple of caches placed since our last visit. Thank goodness the rain of the last 2 days has finally stopped.

TFTC KoalaSandy. Nicely placed. Gos a bit wonky today, but found ok. Jimmytherat with Noelle04
TFTC koalasandy. Found with Jimmytherat on our W.A. road trip odyssey from Melbourne, week five, homeward bound. GPS was a bit tricky here. But soon in hand.
Thanks KoalaSandy for the quick find cache. I could just manage to find this cache and 1 other while muggle husband had a break for lunch.
Nice quick find in this lovely location. A stopover on our way home. Dropped off chihhuihui(sp) Tb.4cm1v9
Welcome to Wudnna, what a nice welcome to a small town in middle of nowhere however with perfect phone and internet coverage. More than I can say for Streaky Bay.
Easy find, more of a chalk up the numbers than seek and find.
Added some coins and bits and pieces.

We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. Geocaching has taken us to so many great places in this beautiful country. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Made a quick find here, while enjoying this nice little town.
Thanks KoalaSandy for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

A quick find as I spotted the cache on approach. I covered it, but with this wind I hope it stays covered. TFTC KoalaSandy.
Travelling from Wirrulla to Kimba, this was one of the caches that I failed to get on our way across to W.A. The return trip provided the perfect opportunity to redress this.
Heading home from WA using geocaching as a guide and an excuse to stretch the legs. With so many caches to do I am mainly concentrating on Earth cache's virtual's and adventure labs because you know you can do those even if the area is full of muggles .
What a nice little spot to stop and have a break on the drive. It is very well manicured and cared for. There was a caravan already parked here but they were inside so I packed to make sure that gz was totally blocked in case they could see out of the windows. Once it was done I headed off to GZ where the cache was found right where the GPSr was pointing and I happily added our name to the log before returning everything as it was.
Many thanks KoalaSandy for showing us this location and a break in the drive
